It all started when Morgan Stark wore a dress to school.
Sure, why not. That's a totally normal thing to do. And she looked adorable in her little pink dress.
But the media disagreed. The next day, all the headlines were of Morgan in her dress, with articles talking about how impractical it was.
But her father was Tony Stark. And if you mess with Tony Stark's family, God help you.
The next time he had a press conference, he shocked thousands by showing up in a midnight blue, backless dress, paired with matching heels.
There was backlash, of course. But there was also support, and most of all, there was people dying of laughter at the sight of Tony Stark sporting a dress and heels with his iconic sunglasses.
And it didn't stop there.
The next day, he was sighted wearing a bright green minidress. The day after, a floral sundress. It just kept coming, and every day, the Internet went wild.
And of course, he got his friends involved too.
Thor, when he next visited Earth, was all over the news when his floaty skirt got caught by the wind. Every news channel imaginable showed a censored picture of Thor with red underpants that day.
Even Bruce Banner got involved, managing to find a skort stretchy enough to stay on when he transformed into the Hulk. Thank God for the shorts, though.
Steve and Bucky were seen shopping together, and pictures were leaked the next day of Steve in a vintage gown which went to his ankles, the exact opposite of Bucky, who wore a black tank top with a red miniskirt, and fishnet tights with stripper heels to match. His fans went crazy over how flawless his eyeliner was, and wow, that lipstick complemented his eyes perfectly, who was teaching him this, and where the hell did he get that nail varnish from?
Next time Hawkeye had an archery lesson, he showed up in a dress identical to Katniss Everdeen's fiery dress. His students had never payed so much attention.
Scott Lang was photographed wearing a bright pink tutu, clutching his daughter's hand as he took her to a cafe. They sat there in their matching tutus, Scott sipping a coffee, Cassie downing her hot chocolate like a shot.
Next time the Guardians of the Galaxy landed on Earth, they shocked everyone as they came out of their spaceship sporting dresses. Questions arose as to how they found out- they were in outer space- but they remained unanswered. Drax in nothing but a denim skirt soon became a popular meme. Rocket and Groot in matching bikinis was a favourite.
Wong was spotted in a kimono while getting coffee with Strange, who seemed to be wearing a ballroom gown.
Perhaps the funniest of all was when T'Challa came to visit the Avengers. Tony almost burst into tears when he saw the king of Wakanda wearing a strapless yellow dress with 5 inch heels to match. How he learnt to walk in heels so well, no one knew.
But while that was the funniest, it wasn't the one which generated the most memes.
When Loki of Asgard was photographed strutting through New York in an emerald green dress with platform heels and earrings which brushed his shoulders, his fangirls went wild. But Loki being the drama queen he was, he then uploaded a tutorial of how he did his makeup on YouTube. There was a sudden spike in people wearing green eyeshadow and black lipstick.
Suffice it to say, no one mentioned Morgan wearing a dress again.
