it's a nice afternoon on dawn island. the sun is setting. the wind is blowing strong. everything is at peace.

as the red haired pirates are getting ready to leave dawn island. their captain "red hair" Shanks, is talking with young 7 year old monkey D Luffy.

is it true?. your leaving, and never coming back? asked Luffy to Shanks. it's been a long time coming. might as well find a new base of operation said Shanks with a calm smile.

i think i know what type of pirate i want to be said Luffy. oh?. and what's that? asked Shanks. i plan to become a pirate don someday said Luffy with a smile.

Luffy. do you even know what a pirate don is? asked Shanks with a calm voice still i him. it's a type of pirate, who has a lot of people on their crew, right? asked Luffy.

hahaha. Luffy. your young. maybe someday, you'll be a pirate. but not today said Shanks.

i'll show you!. i will become a pirate!. i'll head out to sea!, and find me a strong crew!, strong enough!, to surpass you and your crew!. and then!. i'll find the great treasure!. the one piece!. i'm going to be king of the pirates! said Luffy so everyone can hear him call out his dream.

so... your going to surpass us, huh?. in that case... i give you this said Shanks putting his straw hat on Luffy's head. this straw hat is my treasure. i give you it to one day give it back to me... when you've became a great pirate king said Shanks with a calming smile.

tears falling upon Luffy's face as Shanks walks away.

until we meet again. your "majesty" said Shanks walking to his crew and ship.

as the redhaired pirates set sail to the great unknown. Shanks thinks to himself.

can't wait to see how far you'll go as one of us. until next time... "king" Luffy said Shanks to himself with a smile.

after that day, Luffy's grandfather, monkey D Garp, sent Luffy to live with some bandits. afterwards Luffy met two boys named Ace and Sabo.

as the days went by. the three boys trained together to become strong pirates someday. they later became brothers...

until one day... Sabo died. he tried to run to protect his brothers from his old family... but ended up getting his boat shot at... by a world noble.

Ace wished for revenges. but Luffy saw... that this wasn't the way. Sabo didn't want this. he'd want his brothers to live and survive.

after that Luffy and Ace trained harder and harder.

after Ace turned 17, he set sailed to be a pirate.

after that Luffy got a book from a book store. he learned about a type of duel called the Davy back fight. a duel between pirates, where whoever wins. gets whatever, or whoever they want.

fascinated by that, Luffy thought about giving it a try from time to time.

after Luffy turned 17. it was time for him to leave to.

[at the docks]

Luffy is wearing a red sleeveless vest. a pair of short blue shorts. some sandals. and his treasured straw hat he got from Shanks. all those years ago.

as Luffy gets onboard his small boat, he sets sail to the great unknown.

after getting far away from his home island, the ocean started to rumble.

just like that, a giant sea king shows up.

so... we meet again said Luffy with a smile.

the sea king roars at Luffy.

you stole Shanks left arm. i'm hear to get payback said Luffy before getting ready to fight.

the sea king then swam at Luffy ready to eat him.

[gum gum... pistol!] yelled Luffy sending his left rubber fist at the sea king's face, hitting it and sending the sea king flying a few feet away before it feel back into the water.

alright. time to find me a strong crew. i wonder how many i'll end up with so far? asked Luffy to himself.

look out world, i'm coming for ya!. i'm going to be king of the pirates said Luffy.
