Prologue

Diana wasn't necessarily like her brothers or other kids. Her older brothers, Dean, 26, and Sam, 24, were born naturally, with their birth mother carrying them and giving birth... Diana wasn't. After having major complications after Sam's birth, Mary – their mother – was told that she would never be able to carry another naturally.

So almost four months after Sam was born, Mary and John Winchester found a surrogate. The procedure was a success, but Mary would never meet their new child as just as Sam turned six months old, she was killed. John stayed around Lawrence to wait for their third child – Diana – to be born but after that, the Winchester family vanished, and became the famous hunting family all monsters know.

Diana became close to her brothers as she grew up, especially with Sam, considering their close age and she was the first Sam informed about being accepted into Yale. She was also the only one that he kept in contact with after leaving the family. Dean and Diana were close as well. Both brothers are very protective of Diana and have scared off one too many guys trying to get with their sister as well as they prefer her hanging back as much as possible while on a hunt.

Her relationship with her dad, however, is another thing entirely.

John loves his daughter; Diana loves her father... they just have very different views on life. He believes all monsters are evil and as such need to be put down, a viewpoint that he has imprinted on Dean and somewhat on Sam. Diana however has the belief that some monsters aren't all bad, that they have the choice to be either good or bad, just like humans. This viewpoint has led to several arguments between her father and herself, some that drag on for months at a time.

During those periods, Diana is usually dropped off at Bobby's house which Diana doesn't mind at all. Bobby is her uncle in Diana's eyes so spending time with him is not seen as a punishment.

After losing their father to the yellow eye demon, the three siblings found themselves closer than ever as they fought foe after foe off. Their bond became stronger when Dean came back from h*ll and they found that angels were real.

Diana's mind drifted as she remembered her first encounter with one of the angels that has come close to her heart. Well, archangel.

Flashback, two years ago:
Diana was stretched out on the motel couch, watching as her brothers were arguing over their new case.

"Okay, enough," she said, the two falling silent as they turned their attention onto her as she rose to her feet. "The two of you are giving me a headache. Have been since this ridiculous prank war between the two of you began. Just, knock it off. I'm going to go get some food and when I get back, the two you better have some more information on the case."

Dean glared at her. "Why are you telling us what to do?"

Diana rolled her eyes as she shrugged her black leather jacket on. "Obviously I'm the most responsible one out of all of us. I don't let pranks get in the way of a job."

Dean opened his mouth to argue with her, but Sam nudged his side and shook his head when Dean looked over at him. Dean settled back in his chair at the little table, grumbling under his breath.

Diana nodded her head in thanks to Sam before she turned to leave. "I'll bring you back a burger or something!"

An hour later found her sitting in the local diner eating chicken tenders with fries, when a slender man sat across from her. Diana looked up from her phone with an eyebrow raised, her other hand hovering over the gun she had under her jacket.

"Can I help you?"

The man grinned as the waitress set a chocolate milkshake down in front of him. "No, but I believe I can help you, little Winchester."

Diana immediately stiffened, her hand now gripping her gun and ready to draw it, witnesses be d*mned.

"Are you here to threaten me?"

He took a large slurp of his milkshake and shook his head, still smiling at her. "Nope! I'm here to help! Your brothers are around, right?"

Now Diana was more alarmed than ever. What was this man? And what creature had the b*lls to walk right up to a Winchester and start chatting them up like they were long, lost friends?

"How do you know that?"

"I want to help you," the man said, ignoring her question.

"Help? With what?"

"Well, you see, you left your brothers behind in the motel, which good job. Bad news, they followed my trail to this warehouse in the middle of nowhere, and now they are currently trapped in TV Land until they do what must be done."

Diana gaped at the man. "W-What?"

"Yep! Your brothers are currently on a game show, who knows what show they will be on next!" he said with a laugh.

Diana's heart was pounding loudly as panic was slowly starting to set in. "What do you want?"

The man's amusement went away, his dark eyes now a storm as they locked on her own. "I want them to play their roles."

"Their roles?" A thought popped into her mind. "You want them to say yes... you're either an angel or a demon."

"Oh, quick thought process, little Dee! I can see why they call you the smart Winchester. But yes, I want them to say yes. They will say yes, there is nothing you or anyone can do, to stop it."

"I think all of you severely underestimate how stubborn the Winchester family is."

"No, we don't. We just always knew that the end of the world would always end with the Winchester brothers battling it out as meatsuits to Michael and Lucifer."

Diana paused a beat. "So, which one are you? Which archangel?" No demon would have the emotion that he did saying those two names and no normal angel would either. So that left this man as an archangel.

"See? I told you; you were smart... and they call me Gabriel."

"Well, Gabriel, I can't wait to prove you and all those other d*ck head angels how wrong you all are. The only reason that there will be an end of the world, is if all those that fight give up. We are the Winchesters, and the Winchesters don't give up. Maybe that's something y'all should try before you say that it is a lost cause"

Diana put money down and moved to leave. "You were never foretold, you know?"

Diana settled back and looked at him, puzzled. "What do you mean?"

"Sam and Dean have been foretold since the beginning of time but never have you been mentioned."

"Well, maybe God put me here with a purpose. And that purpose might be to talk sense into all of you dumb*sses trying to end the world."

Diana stood and left, hurrying to get to where her brothers disappeared. Maybe she could get them back in some way.

Gabriel was left with much to think about... and he felt a bond forming with the youngest Winchester. Examining it with his power, he realized exactly what it was.

Oh, Father. A guardian bond. With a Winchester. Great.

End of Flashback

Diana came back to herself as her eyes catch a sign: Welcome to Mystic Falls.
