Chapter Six
The next time Diana woke up, the sun shined softly over the bed where Klaus and her were intertwined. Diana slowly sat up and let the sheets slide off of her. She swung her legs over the sat and sat there for a minute, allowing her mind to wake up more.
She felt Klaus move up behind her.
"Leaving already?"
Diana smirked over her shoulder at him even as she leaned back slightly against his chest.
"I am. I've got things to do, places to be."
"Are you sure I can't persuade you to stay for one more day?"
Diana huffed in amusement. "I'm sure you could but this small town isn't ready for me to have an extended stay. Besides I'm meeting up with my brothers over the next couple days and they will not be happy finding me in bed with a man."
"What about breakfast?"
"I'll stay for breakfast but then I'm leaving after that. Now, can you point me in the direction of the shower?"
Klaus pointed. "Would you like me to scrounge up a fresh change of clothes?"
"Nah. I brought my bag in last night, remember?" Diana asked, nodding her head towards where her bag sat on the chair in the corner of the room. Klaus didn't respond as Diana got up and grabbed her bag, heading towards the bathroom.
Klaus stretched and began to get up as well just before she entered the bathroom he spoke. "Have room for one more in there?"
Diana glanced at him and returned his smirk. "I'm sure I can make some space for you."
He followed behind her and closed the bathroom door behind them. He quite liked this young woman. She was like a breath of fresh air to him after being in this hostile little town for so long.
After emerging from the shower both dressed and ready to face the world, Diana grabbed all of her clothes strewn around the bedroom from the night before and pulled her combat boots on.
"Ready, love?"
Diana nodded and followed him through the mansion as she pulled her damp hair up and out of the way.
They entered the kitchen just as Klaus's brothers and whom she presumed their sister sat down with their own breakfast at the table.
"Ah, there he is!" Kol said with a grin as he tried to tease his brother. "Left us at the Grill to find our own way home to entertain the lovely Diana. I see how it is, Nik."
"Oh shut up, Kol," Klaus said with a huff as he handed Diana a plate and they began to grab what they wanted from the pans on the stove that had pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon. "Love, what would you like to drink?"
"A coffee, please," Diana said politely. Outside of the comfort of the bedroom and faced with his whole family, Diana was feeling a little self conscious. She wasn't used to her one night stands turning into a family breakfast.
One of Klaus's other brothers - Elijah - poured coffee into a cup as she sat between him and Klaus at the table.
"Thank you. Elijah, right?" Diana asked as she poured some sugar into her coffee and stirred it.
"I am. I don't believe you had the pleasure of meeting our sister last night. Diana, this is our sister Rebekah," he said with a gesture to the blonde whom was giving Diana the stink eye.
"Hello, Rebekah. I promise I'm only staying until after breakfast." Diana knew how Rebekah felt because she always felt that way when encountering her brothers' one night stands.
The two women held each other's stares before Rebekah nodded once. Diana returned it before they commenced eating. Diana's phone started ringing.
"Ugh, I'm sorry. This is terribly rude." Diana began apologizing as she fished her phone out.
"Its quite alright. It happens, no offense has been taken." Finn assured her. Diana smiled hesitantly at him before looking down at her phone. She huffed but answered.
"What do you want, Sam?"
"Where are you?"
"Why?" Diana was slowly eating her food and wasn't paying attention to how the family around her was seemingly listening into her conversation.
"Dee, where are you right now?"
"Sam I'm not going to tell you where I am until you tell me why you want to know."
"You can be a real brat, you know that?"
Diana snorted. "That is my job as the little sister, Sam." Rebekah smirked as her brothers rolled their eyes. Their little sister could be a real brat too.
Shuffling was heard as Sam's phone was taken from him. Dean's voice came through.
"Dee, Castiel is needing you to explain some things to him so we figured we would send him to you."
Diana's eyes narrowed as she heard the faint laughter in Dean's voice.
"Did you let him watch p*rn again?"
Diana couldn't hide her smirk as Klaus and a couple of his brothers choked.
"You'll see."
Diana sighed. "Give me an hour and I'll text you where I'm at. And stop making me have to give him the s*x talk every time, Dean."
"No promises."
Diana sighed as she hung up and put her phone back in her pocket.
"I am so sorry about that. I've been gone for barely a week and already the two doofuses are confusing Cas."
Rebekah grinned at her. "Oh, tell me about it. It feels like I was gone from Klaus's life for almost a century and when I come back, almost all of the citizens of Mystic Falls has a hatred for our family."
"If what I saw last night between the Salvawhores and the bartender is the norm, then I promise it most likely isn't you or your family. Must be something in the water because I could feel myself becoming dumber in the bar last night. Speaking of which, what type of ego does a town have to have to name a restaurant after itself?"
Rebekah and a couple of the others laughed in agreement. All of them now were starting to warm up to this human woman.
"I like you, Diana. Make sure to give me your number before you leave so I have someone that I can actually make fun of my brothers with."
"Oh, trust me. That is exactly what I need whenever I'm around my brothers. They are a big pain in my *ss on a good day! But I wouldn't trade my brothers for anything."
Rebekah smiled softly at her as even her brothers smiled at their sister making a friend whom seemed genuine.
"Same here… doesn't mean we can't make their lives h*ll though."
"Oh, definitely. That is on the little sister handbook right up there with being brats and chasing off the one night stands."
"Okay, enough. I don't think I like the two of you becoming friends." Klaus said, his eyes narrowed between the two.
Diana rolled her eyes as she leaned over and kissed his cheek.
"Too bad, so sad. We've already imprinted on each other." Diana crossed her fingers as she sent a smile Rebekah's way. "I can tell that Rebekah and I are going to be besties."
"What about me?" Kol butted in.
"Eh, maybe." Diana rattled off her number as Rebekah typed it in and Diana ate the last few bites of her breakfast. She stood and took her dishes to the sink but was pushed gently to the side by Klaus before she could wash them.
"Don't worry about those, love. The maid will take care of them. Now, are you sure I can't persuade you to stay?" He asked as he caged her against the counter.
Diana's heart fluttered at his proximity and Klaus could barely hide his smirk at her reaction.
"I wish but I'm needed by my brothers." Klaus couldn't help but have a flash of disappointment cross his face. "But that doesn't mean this is goodbye. Y'all have my number so if any of you need to get away," she turned attention to all of the siblings to encompass them in the offer. "Text or call me and we can meet up somewhere."
"That is a very kind and generous offer, Miss Diana," Elijah said elegantly leaning back in his chair.
Diana shrugged and ducked her head even as Klaus leaned forward and kissed her forehead.
Diana cleared her throat. "Okay, no more chick flick moments. I've gotta get going. Klaus, let me know if you need another booty call. Kol, give those rude *ss people a punch from me the next time they open their mouths. Rebekah, give your brothers h*ll." Diana said with a wink as she moved over to her bag beside the door and out the front door to her car.
She got in and glancing at the front door saw all five siblings waving goodbye to her. This small town might have been boring in the beginning but Diana couldn't help but feel that she would be seeing them all again soon.
With a wave, she drove off and she wasn't a mile down the road before she spoke.
"Okay, Cas, find me." Within a minute Cas was sitting in the passenger seat beside her. "Out with it. What did Sam and Dean do this time?"
He smiled softly at his pseudo sister. It took him a long time but he had finally realized that Diana and him had a sibling bond which is vastly different from that of a guardian bond. Basically Cas and Diana treated each other just like Dean and Sam treated Diana and vice versa.
"Well, why does the babysitter…" And commenced a four hour drive that Diana had to endure to explain p*rn once again to Cas. She was going to kill her brothers next time she saw them.
But she will admit Cas being with her made the time go by faster.
Cas and Diana actually traveled the East Coast together with the occasional disappearance of Cas flying off to assist her brothers over the past two months. This was currently one of those times Cas wasn't with her, which Diana had figured would be fine.
She had been here before when she was younger with her father and brothers for a salt and burn so figured she wouldn't have any trouble this time either.
Oh, how wrong she was.
Diana Winchester has arrived in New Orleans.
