Epilogue
Perci could hardly believe her ears.
"What?"
"We, the Valar, would like to offer you the chance to return home for a short period of time, to see your family and friends, and to say your goodbyes. You have gone above and beyond the tasks that have set before you so far, Persephone. You deserve to have closure, so do they."
"How much time would I have?"
"A week."
"And how much time would pass here?"
"Three months."
"Can I truly just disappear from the Kingdom for that long? What about the Light protection?"
"You'll still be alive, won't you? The protection works on either world. You can announce that we have given you a quest that you must complete on your own, which we have."
"I-I accept. When can I go?"
"The end of the week. Be ready, Queen Persephone of Atlantis, Avalon, Camelot, and Westeros."
"I will be… I'm coming home."
It's been almost a hundred years since she has been in Middle Earth, almost 8.5 years she has been away from her world. A lot would have changed, she knew, but hopefully in the week she will be home, she will be able to say goodbye to all of those that she loves. Because it might've been her home once, but it is not her home any longer.
Middle Earth is.
She had the feeling it was the place she was always meant to be.
