Alright, here's Act 1, published a day after the prologue. I hope you enjoy. Also, Happy Birthday to the late great King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
*Harwood County High, 2:10 P.M.* (July 17, 2013)
The school bell rings, hinting class has ended for the day. Troy Burrows opened his locker to put his books away. When he closed it, Emma Goodall was standing by his locker.
"Hey Troy," Emma greeted, as Troy turns to Emma.
"Hey Emma. What's up?" Troy asked.
"Just wanted to see how you're doing," Emma responded,
"I'm good," Troy said. "How about you?"
"Same. Oh yeah!" Emma realized, "Noah wants us to come to Ernie's Brainfreeze. He said he read about something strange crashing into Trang Park."
"Trang Park? What do you think it is?" Troy asked.
"I don't know," Emma shrugged. "The Harwood Hub assumed it to be a meteorite, but Noah said that there's something more than that."
"Does he think Caeltermare might be involved?" Troy asked.
"That's for us to find out," Emma responded, as Troy closed his locker. "Let's go."
Troy nodded as he and Emma were off to Ernie's Brainfreeze.
*Ernie's Brainfreeze, 2:39 P.M.*
Noah Carver was reading about the meteorite crashing into Trang Park, while Jake Holling, his best friend, was sipping on a vanilla shake, and Gia Moran, his teammate and friend, was doing quadratic formulas.
"Bro, why can't we just go to Trang Park?" Jake asked.
"Look here," Noah said, as he pointed on the excerpt on the article. "Police founded a trace of footsteps leaving the meteorite and out of Trang Park."
Hearing this, Gia shifted from math to what appeared to be Noah talking about science fiction.
"So you're basically saying that an alien walking among us?" Gia asked.
"Not exactly…" Noah tries to defend himself, but to nothing came to mind after. "Yeah, pretty much."
Troy and Emma walk into the Brainfreeze and take a seat at the table Noah, Gia, and Jake were at.
"Hey," Troy and Emma greeted.
"So Noah, what do you have to make about their meteorite story?" Troy asked.
"To help you understand the basis… He thinks an alien came out of the meteorite," Jake said.
"Really?" Emma raised her eyebrows.
"It said that it had footsteps," Noah said.
"And you've never heard of Photoshop?" Gia asked, which made Noah realize.
"Oh yeah. That was stupid, I'm sorry," Noah apologizes.
"You don't need to apologize. We know you're into that stuff," Emma assures Noah, who smiles. A waiter soon comes to the five teenagers' table.
"So, what will it be today?" The waiter asked.
"Hi Orion," Emma greeted the waiter, Orion, who was confused.
"How did you get here so fast?" Orion asked, which had Emma confused.
"What do you mean?" Troy asked.
"I just saw you out back," Orion explained.
"You need to work on your comedy. She was with me the entire time," Troy pointed out.
"You're one to talk about comedy," Noah commented.
"Okay, that was way back in February," Troy said, in defense.
"What are you two talking about?" Orion asked.
"It's a long story about these two Caeltermare who…" Noah started, before a hand slammed on the teenagers' table. It was a well-dressed businessman, with a suit and tie on, who had blonde hair.
"Sorry sir, can I help you?" Ernie, the owner of frozen yogurt shop, asked from the bar.
"I am taking this girl… and her power," The man said, as he then transformed into a Caeltermare with the motif of an antlion. He had black jaw-like horns on the top of his head, black shoulder armor, a tangerine body with black accents on the chest, arms, and legs, in which the body looked similar to Taurus Ovis, the Sheep Caeltermare. This was the Antlion Caeltermare, Neuroptera Maxilla (The design is an homage to the Shocker monster, Antlithunder).
"That's…!" Emma eyes widen, as her throat was grabbed by Maxilla's right hand.
"Hey!" Gia shouted, as she stood up before being smacked by Maxilla's left hand.
"You bastard!" Orion exclaimed, as he delivered a side kick on Maxilla's right side, having him let go of Emma as he flew to a table. "Ernie call the police!"
"Okay," Ernie nodded. "Be careful!"
Neuroptera Maxilla got up and growled.
"Let's go!" Jake told the four, as they ran out of the Angel Falls Mall.
"Wait!" Maxilla called out and he ran to the teens, before being grabbed by Orion.
And that was the first part of Act 1. Each act with have three parts, to go with the 3 act structure films typically have. As you can see we have our Rangers and the monster-of-the-week, but this is just the setup. The real plot and villain will be revealed in Parts 2 and 3. This summer movie is not going to be your typical monster-of-the-week format, just to let you know.
