Happy Power Rangers Day, everyone! Also, happy belated birthday, Percy! This wasn't gonna be my intended story for the day... but I figured I'd need a segway for my other stories... so... here it is.

Disclaimer: I don't own Percy Jackson or any series connected to that character, nor do I own Power Rangers.

Happy reading!

Percy

Just a regular day. JUST A REGULAR DAY!

Is that too much to ask for?!

I groaned in annoyance as I was running from a large group of… something…

I'll be honest: I have no idea what the Gods were thinking when they had me traveling to Angel Grove, of all places, for some stupid quest… especially cuz that quest took me all the way to the other side of the country for no reason!

Especially cause my girlfriend was nowhere around since she was busy making sure our grades were good enough for New Rome… And my best friend was… Actually, I haven't seen Grover for at least half a year…

Either way, you're probably wondering what my quest was, anyway.

Get some old orb from some random building on the side of an extremely hard to climb cliff… alone… with only a compass to tell me if I was close or not.

Yeah, the Oracle had mentioned something about teaming up with people, but seeing as how I was going it alone, I didn't see how that would be easy!

And now, I was running from some freaky robots!

I tried to fight them, sure… but without my Achilles' Heel protection… I got swarmed pretty fast, and they weren't exactly bleeding ichor… so… running was my only option.

What I didn't count on was them following after me…

So here I was, running to some old building on a cliff-side, being chased by non-ichor bleeding robots… with no backup…

Needless to say, I'm honestly starting to understand what someone I once knew was feeling with the Gods.

However, as I kept going up, I noticed five multi-colored streams of light coming from the old building, striking the freaks back. I groaned as I got to a good resting place close to the top, taking in several breaths.

"Okay… note-to-self… reason to the gods that a quest like this requires me to have multiple people, not just myself." I grumbled.

"You okay?" Someone asked me.

I looked up, blinking, as I saw a guy in blue wearing glasses approaching me.

"Uh… yeah…"

I took in a soft breath, standing up straighter before I looked to see the five lights had become five color-coded…

"Power Rangers?" I gaped in surprise.

"You're new around here, huh?" The guy figured.

"You could say that…" I relented, "Percy."

"Billy." He nodded calmly, "Come on, Percy, let's get you outta here…"

He tried to lead me back down the trail, but I shook my head and started back up to the building either way.

"Sorry, never was good at following directions!" I noted, climbing up the pathway…

Until there was a blast of energy that knocked me back onto the hard ground beside Billy.

"Okay, if I weren't a demigod, that would probably definitely would've killed me…!" I mentally figured.

"Ya sure about that?" He raised a brow.

I groaned, climbing back to my feet, "Alright… that does it…! I need to get through this dam quest and get back to my regular life…!"

As my anger began to hitch, I felt water flowing not far from here…

If I could lead these things over to it…

But that would require working with the Power Rangers to get my plan across…

Well, here's hoping…

"Hey!" I jumped back to where the sides were.

My shout, thankfully, caught the robot's attention…

"Ya want me?" I smirked, "Come get me!"

Jumping down the pathway, I started to the ocean as fast as I could go… And thankfully, those robots actually followed…

10 minutes later…

I jumped into the water and started creating a whirlpool of seawater, trying to catch the still-pursuing freaks…

It worked, somehow… after at least three tries… but a lot more were just thrown back by the wave… like the oncoming rangers… who were forced to revert back to their civilian forms, it looked like.

I cursed under my breath before I pulled the robots into the sea and returned to the land.

"…Sorry 'bout that, folks…" I breathed, "Sometimes I don't know my strength."

"…Ah… that's… uh…" They groaned as they climbed back to their feet.

"…Don't worry, we all have our secrets." I assured them, "…Case in point… no mortal can do my thing…"

They slowly nodded, and I was able to look each of them over.

These guys look pretty old.… probably in their mid to late 20s if I had to guess… the youngest is probably right at the cusp of 20, actually…

Yet, they had fought like some of the Ares kids I'd seen back at camp?

"…You guys are Power Rangers?" I questioned.

"…It's a long story." The one in red sighed, "Let's get you back to the old base…"

20 minutes later…

We got where I'd intended to go… then dropped down into a very large chasm…

When we got inside there

Well, that's when the compass in my back pocket started reacting…

It literally pulled me over to a round sphere that… I don't know what it was, honestly…

"Whoa there!" The one in green grabbed me, pulling me away, but… the compass literally zipped right against the thing.

"Whoa… what is that?" The girl in pink questioned.

"It's the compass I was given for my quest." I relented, "…I was specifically told to get some kind of orb and that the compass would lead me to it."

"…How is that even possible?"

"I have no idea, I couldn't even ask before I was inside the attic of my camp's Big House and given the stupid prophecy for it."

"Prophecy…? Like in those old mythology stories?" The one in yellow raised a brow.

"Trust me, they're not just stories." I sighed, "You saw how I could bend water to my will and catch those robot things? Well… that comes from my blood… I'm a demigod, son of Poseidon."

"…Wait, if you're a demigod… then how come we've never heard of you guys?" The guy in green raised a brow, "We Rangers really could've used some help…"

"…I'm lucky it was just your monsters that were chasing me… usually I'll have two others with me, power in numbers and all… but my quest was specifically meant for me, and me alone…"

"Okay… what was your quest for, anyway?" The one in red and blue questioned shortly.

"To get something like that thing and bring it back to the Empire State Building." I relented shortly, nodding to the orb the compass was still attached to.

"The old Viewing Globe…?" A weird… bulky… robot… thing… came over.

"…Yeah…" I shook my head, "I've… seen weirder…"

I turned my attention back to the humans.

"So… seeing as how you called that thing old… I'm gonna assume you're not using it anymore, so… I'll gladly take it off your hands."

"I'm afraid that's not possible…" A woman suddenly appeared on some kind of glowing screen.

"Dimitria…?" They stepped forward.

"What do you mean?" Billy questioned.

"The Viewing Globe is unable to be removed from its location, no matter how long it is."

"Sorry, lady, but I need to get my quest done so I can move on with my life." I retorted, "I need that thing."

"And what is your intention with it?"

"I'm gonna take it to Olympus, give it to them, then get back with my girlfriend to check our grades so I can have a normal life for once."

"Normal life?" The one in Pink questioned.

"Yeah… demigods like me don't usually live that long, but there's a college for demigods in one of our camps… lets us live out our lives perfectly normal." I relented shortly, "I need to get this quest done so I can do that."

"There's gotta be something, Dimitria." Billy looked at the lady.

"I will try to find a way; however, do not hold out too much hope for an answer…" With that, she disappeared into nothing.

I rolled my eyes, sighing, "By the way, to get instructions outta the way, my name's Percy."

"I'm TJ." The one in Red and Blue let out.

"Justin." The one who looked the youngest nodded.

"Cassie." The one in pink let out.

"Ashley." The one in yellow revealed.

"Carlos." The one in Green finished.

I nodded calmly before I walked over to the 'Viewing Globe', confused.

"…What even is this thing made of…?"

"An off-earth material." Billy relented, "That's all we know for sure."

I frowned; why would the Gods want something like this anyway?

Obviously, it viewed things… but it wasn't specifically Zeus giving me the quest…

"…Huh…" Was all I could say.

"So… you're a Demigod?" Ashley looked at me.

I nodded, "Yeah… most don't usually make it past my age unless the college route is taken… but… I am."

"…Is that why you survived such a drop…?" Adam asked calmly.

"…I have no idea… but that's what I figure." I relented, "Surprised you guys aren't more weary of me…"

"We're kinda used to it." Cassie noted.

I nodded, "Totally get that… still…"

"What I wanna know is why mythological gods need something extraterrestrial?"

"…How much of Greek mythology have you studied?" I scoffed softly.

"…Was Zeus the one that gave you the quest?"

"Not him specifically, but I wouldn't put it past him."

"That… makes sense."

I scoffed softly, "Freaky, I know…"

Suddenly, the screen thing glowed back to life, and that Dimitria chick reappeared.

"There is a way for you to get what you're requiring."

"That's great, so…" I turned back to the orb.

"It is, however, not from taking the Viewing Globe."

I cursed softly, then turned back to her, "Then what is it, and how could the compass have been attracted to that thing, then…?"

"It appears that the compass you were given was given is similar in origin to the Zeo Crystals." Dimitria decided, "Just as much as the Viewing Globe…"

"How could… Greek Gods… have gotten their hands on it?" Carlos questioned.

"All I was told was that it was ancient." I shrugged, "So… maybe with that Rita chick was first locked away, it was dropped here?"

"Historically, that doesn't line up with Mythology, but they could've taken it into their care once the Ancient Greeks had found it." Billy figured.

"…I'm not surprised…" I sighed, "…Either way, I need to bring something with that kinda power back."

"Like what?" Justin questioned.

I shrugged, "I have no idea… it's just gotta be something that the Gods won't be able to feel the difference of."

"How about this?" Their Bulky Robot came over, holding out a large stone bracelet.

"You mean my Advanced Prototype Wrist-com?" Billy asked calmly, "I was working on that so we could keep in full contact with Terra Venture."

"Could that work?" TJ looked at me.

I shrugged before I heard the compass suddenly shake and going over to the APW thing, "That seems to think so… and hey, if it gets the Gods off my back, I'll take anything."

"Very well, then, be safe on your journey back." Dimitria instructed calmly, "And may the power protect you."

I scoffed, nodding to the side, "I can't make any promises, but we'll see…"

With that, I headed out of the building.

As I did, I noticed storm clouds overhead, and I sighed.

"…Well, I wasn't given a time limit this time…"

Turning back around, I headed back inside.

"What's got you coming back so suddenly?" Cassie asked with a raised brow.

"Uh… let's just say I don't think my planned return travel is gonna be a good idea…" I relented shortly, "Besides, it looks like you're gonna need my help around here anyway… or help in general, I guess."

"I see no problem." TJ shrugged, "You've proven yourself to be a capable enough fighter."

The others nodded in agreement.

"Well then," Ashley put her hand on my shoulder, "Welcome to Power Rangers History, Percy."

Well then... even if this was a one-off, that seems like it'd lead to some interesting connections down the line...

Well, that'll be explored soon enough!
