The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

Setg-in felt like his whole body was on fire. Everything it hurt as he stumbled out of his wrecked ship and into the storm.

He had tried activating his cloak not long after exiting the ship. But the rain was constantly interfering with it. The yautja growled in annoyance.

Still, he knew he had to keep going. The ship was sadly not salvageable, and he had to make the hard decision on blowing it up.

By doing so, he knew he would become stranded here.

But what other choice did he have? He couldn't just leave it out in the woods like this. Not when by chance some oomans could stumble upon it.

The ship had become so damaged that even its cloaking was disabled, so he can't even activate it. The large grey ship stuck out like a sore thumb among the dense greenery of the woods.

Thankfully, it didn't look like this part of the woods was near a highly inhabited area.

But he still was not taking any chances. There was no way in hell that he'd let any oomans get their grubby little hands on the ship. Yautja tech in ooman hands spelled trouble.

He started to stumble through the woods as quickly as he could, putting as much distance between himself and the ship.

Then around the same time a very loud clap of thunder hit, the ship exploded. The mixture of the loud bang and the thunder simultaneously mixing together as it went.

He at least made sure it was set to a low setting so as not to take out too much land. That way it would be less conspicuous and not draw too much attention to any nearby population as to why suddenly have the forest was gone.

Right now, Setg-in's objective was not to draw attention to himself.

His injuries he received both during his escape and during the crash were quite serious. And they needed to be tended to as quickly as possible.

But he needed to find shelter from this raging storm first.

He trekked through the woods for at least a half hour and was getting more exhausted by the minute due to the blood loss. And just when he was about to say screw it and park himself near a large boulder beneath a couple trees, he saw something large around two-hundred and thirty to forty yards ahead and to the left.

The warrior started to make his way towards it.

It took him several minutes to get there and when he did, he noticed it was someone's dwellings.

He used the different vision modes in his mask to scope it out. It was a small two-story home by the looks of it. He quickly checked to see if there were any inhabitants present.

To his disappointment, he saw one heat signature on the first floor. They weren't moving much though. Just sitting in some oversized chair by the looks of it.

Setg-in let out a groan as he pressed a hand to the side of his stomach, where one of his more serious wounds were.

At this point, he didn't care there was one pesky ooman about in the home. He still needed to find shelter from this storm and tend to his injuries.

He looked around and saw another dwelling off to the left. This one was much smaller and there appeared to be no one inside.

So, he began to make his way over to it. On the way he stumbled a couple more times and nearly lost his footing. But he kept pushing through the pain and fatigue so he could get there.

Once he got through the open door and out of the rain, he let out a sigh of relief. Then he stumbled to the back of the shed and sat down against the back wall next to some shelves.

He sat there for a few minutes to collect his bearings.

His mind went back to all the events that led up to this point. It angered him that it came to this. A fugitive on the run from both Arbitrators and now a group of bad bloods.

Setg-in closed his eyes and recalled the latest events over the last couple years.

He was not proud of any of them. Nor did he ever want this to be his life. But some mistakes and bad calls changed everything for him and set him down the path of something he never wanted to be labeled as, a bad blood.

But unfortunately, fate was rather cruel to him and did just that.

It wasn't until he felt more of his blood seeping out of a few of his wounds that he remembered the predicament he was currently in.

He went to go activate his med kit, when he saw a heat signature right outside the door he just came through not that long ago. His gaze snapped to the individual in question, and he made out the outline of an ooman.

Setg-in quickly switched vision modes once more and set it on 'ooman' vision.

What he saw was a young, petite ooman female. A few strands of dark wet hair clung to the sides of her wert face from beneath her hood. And her blue eyes impossibly wide as she gazes upon him.

For a moment it seemed like they were caught in some kind of epic stare down. Until she slowly opened the door a little more and took a small step inside.

The warrior shot her a warning growl that seemed to stop her in her tracks.

Then realizing that he had been discovered he tried to get up and leave. But his body painfully protested again, and he found himself back on the floor.

He struggled for the next several seconds to push himself up but failed.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her attempted another step towards him. So, he let out a roar that was much weaker than he intended.

Next thing he knew, it was lights out and everything went dark.

Thea stood there for a couple minutes staring at the creature still bleeding out on the cement floor of her shed.

Within this time, it hasn't moved a muscle. It just continued to lie there on its side, its breathing coming out a little raspy. Whoever or whatever it was; it was not doing well at all.

She thought that it may even be dying.

And if it was, she had no idea what to do about its body. It was clearly very large and heavy looking. The young woman doubts she would be able to move it.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard what sounded like some kind of pained whimper coming from the creature.

For some reason, the sound pulled at her, and she suddenly found herself feeling sorry for it.

Thea finally worked up the courage to approach it. She slowly squatted down before it and closely observed it. That's when she noticed how deep and serious a couple of his injuries were.

She made her decision and stood up.

Then she ran from the shed and back into her house. The young woman dropped the knife and flashlight down once inside. She raced up the stairs to the second level and into the bathroom in the hallway. Then she went underneath the sink and pulled out a large heavy duty emergency kit.

It was a gift from her best friend Emma, who's a doctor.

Thea pulled out the large kit and ran back down the stairs with it. She raced back outside getting pelted by large droplets of rain as she ran through the backyard back to the shed.

She came in and approached the prone form of the creature and set the kit down.

She opened the kit up and started taking various items out of it. Then started to assess the injuries. First and foremost, she wants to take care of the bigger and deeper ones.

Thea was aware that no matter what she did, it was possible it wouldn't be enough. Because for all she knew, there were some major organs that were hit, and he could possibly have internal bleeding.

'Still got to try and patch them up.' She thought.

She pulled out a couple microfiber clothes out of their plastic covers and went to work trying to wipe away as much of the blood she could on the gaping gashes in his stomach.

Then when she could see the extent of the wound once it was cleared up, she pulled out needle and thread. Thanking her lucky stars that Emma taught her how to properly stitch wounds.

Right before she pressed the curved needle into his skin, her eyes drifted to his eerie mask. She hopes he doesn't awaken during this process. Otherwise, she may as well kiss her ass goodbye.

She carefully inserted the needle through his skin. He didn't move or make a sound at all.

To her this was good, and she went to work stitching up the first long gash that was easily four to five inches long and about a half inch wide.

Thea worked as quickly and carefully as she could.

Every now and then she had to pause and wipe away some blood that would ooze out from the needle point piercing through what was surprisingly very thick skin.

'Damn, this guy's skin is like leather. Can only hope that the thread doesn't break.' She thought, as she sewed him back up.

After a few minutes, she finally finished closing up the first gash. Then she quickly moved onto the second one next to it. Thankfully, this gash wasn't as long as the first. But it did look wider.

Because of the width, it was a little harder to close up. At one point she was contemplating taking out the surgical staple gun that Emma happened to throw in there and use that on him. She taught Thea how to us that too.

But for now, she wants to see how far she can get with the stitches. If she feels they are not sufficient enough, then she may have to switch to the staples.

It took her a long time to thoroughly patch up this large being. He had so many gashes, and abrasions covering him as it was.

At least not all of them required stitches. Some she applied butterfly bandages too and some were mere scrapes that required nothing more than a large rectangular band aid.

Her eyes would still shift back and forth from what she was doing to his masked face.

So far, he was still out. And Thea is unsure whether to feel relieved or worried about that. His breathing didn't sound very raspy or distressed anymore.

It gradually leveled out as she worked on him.

The young woman sat back with a sigh, thinking she finally got them all. She went to stand up when she noticed some more blood on his back.

Thea groaned, "Really?"

The creature was laying on his side and there was maybe a foot between his body and the wall.

She tried to see if there was a way, she could reach it without having to move him. But unfortunately, the location on his back would've been awkward getting to this way.

She didn't like this, this meant she may have to roll him onto his stomach to get to it.

But if she does that, she may not be able to roll him back over afterwards.

So, Thea tried to see again if there was a way she could reach it without moving him. She stepped over his body and wedged herself between his body and the wall.

It's times like this it certainly comes in handy to be as small and short as she was.

She was able to see the wound more clearly now. It was on the lower left side of his back. This was good, because he was laying on his right side. This meant she'd be able to reach it just fine after all.

Thea carefully wiped the blood away from the wound.

When she did clear enough of the blood away, she frowned when she saw that this gash was very large. The damn thing was almost as long as her friggin' forearm.

"Great." She groaned.

Still, she bit the bullet and pulled out some more thread.

Then she went to work closing this wound up. Good thing she had extra thread otherwise, she'd have no choice but to utilize that staple gun. And for some reason that thought irked her because she believes that it was something that was bound to wake him up.

Took her several more minutes to finally close the whole thing.

Afterwards she went into the med kit and pulled out some gauze strips and started covering the stitches with them. This didn't take nearly as long. And she finished up another few minutes later.

Thea packed up the rest of the medical supplies and put them back in the large kit.

She stood there for a moment looking him over. Already, he looked a lot better than he did before. Hopefully, when it's all said and done, he doesn't end up dying.

At this point, the young woman feels she has done everything she could.

There was just one more thing to do. Thea went back inside the house and put the medical kit down on the counter. Then she went into the linen closet off of the living room and pulled out a blanket.

She ran with it outside, trying to get back to the shed quickly without getting it too wet.

Once there she unraveled it and then draped it over his large form. Her eyes flickered in amusement as he snoozed away with the blanket over. A blanket that was pretty large on her, but with him, it came down mid-shin.

'Hope he doesn't mind Dragon Ball Z.' She thought in amusement.

The blanket had Goku taking up majority of the picture with his son Gohan and friends surrounding him.

Thea almost chuckled at seeing someone that looked so deadly with a blanket with Japanese Anime Characters on it draped over them. But it was one of the biggest blankets she had. And it was very soft and comfortable.

Feeling like her work here is done, the young woman retreated from the shed and went back inside her home.

Until Next Time ;)
