The Two were,Finally,Getting,Some Relaxation,Without Him,Cynder and,His Friend,Sparx,Stopping a Villain,Like Gnasty Gnorc,Ripto or the Sorceress,For,Like,the 80th Time.
The Couple was Happy,Now,That,Spyro had retired,And,They had found a Permanent Home,In the Artisian's Homeworld.
Spyro and Cynder were,Laying on the Ground,Side by Side,Looking Up at the Stars,Just Happy,To be spending Time Together,as They looked at the Stars,And,Held Paws.
At First,Everything seemed Normal to Them.
It,Just looked like,The Stars were Twinkling,Brightly.
But.
When Spyro,Actually,Paid Attention to Them,He could see It.
The Stars weren't Twinkling,They were starting to blink Out of Existence.
Like,They had never Existed,In the First Place.
"Hey,Cynder,Do You see,What I'm Seeing?" Spyro asked,In Curiosity,Trying to make Sure,He was Seeing,Correctly.
"Spyro," Cynder called,With Concern,In Her Voice,as She was,Now,Sitting Up,And,Tapping his Shoulder.
"What is It,Cynd?" Spyro wondered,as He sat Up,To look at,What She was looking At.
When Spyro looked,He saw,Exactly,What She was Seeing,And,It was Not Good.
There was Something Weird,Happening to the Ground.
Something was Opening Up,In the Ground.
And,When They looked Closer.
They realized,They weren't,Just Openings.
These Openings were Portals,From Other Worlds.
Ones,They didn't Quite Recognize.
Portals started to Open Up,All Around Them.
In the Sky,On the Ground,Even in the Water.
It was like,The Whole Universe was becoming Unstable.
Spyro and Cynder looked at Each Other,And Nodded,Knowing,Exactly,What They needed to do.
They needed to seek Out Nestor,Leader of the Artisian Dragons.
And,That was,Exactly,What They did.
Spyro,Cynder and Sparx went Straight to Nestor,To get to the Bottom of,What was going on.
"And,That's When,We came to You,Nestor," Cynder mentioned,Finishing the Explanation,That Her,Spyro and Sparx were telling to Him.
"Hmm,This is Most Disturbing,Not Unexpected,But,Disturbing," Nestor stated,With a Serious Look on his Face.
"What is It,Sir?" Spyro retorted,Wondering,What Nestor was Saying,Was So Disturbing.
"Well,Spyro,These Disappearing Stars and Mysterious Portals can,Only mean One Thing,That,The Core of Light,Our Most Sacred Artifact,has become Unstable," Nestor announced.
"If You don't mind Me asking,Nestor,What is the Core of Light?" Cynder responded,Curiously,Wanting to know,What the Core of Light was.
"I'm Glad,You Asked,Cynder,The Core of Light is Our Most Sacred Artifact,For a Reason,You See,The Core of Light is a Magical Artifact,With the Power to control Our Universe,And,Many Others,It,Also has the Power to Supply Us,With Portals,Between Worlds," Nestor eludicated.
"So,Where is This Artifact,Exactly?" Sparx added,Lifting an Eyebrow.
"The Core of Light is,Somewhere in the Skylands,And,If You want to Know,What the Skylands are,I can help with That,Too,The Skylands is a Magical World,That,Lies,Directly,In the Center of the Milky Way Galaxy," Nestor replied.
"Wait,So,You're Saying,We're not the Only Ones having Issues with This?" Spyro guessed.
"Precisely,I've Already Noticed,This,Earlier,And,Warned the Other Dragon Realm Leaders,I have Only One Problem," Nestor answered,Before Mentioning,That,He had a Problem.
"And,What is That?" Sparx questioned,Suspiciously,Crossing his Arms,Already Thinking,He might know,What It was.
"I can't take the Trip to the Core of Light,Myself,I have to prepare My Realm for the Worst,And,With,How Long,That might take,It might Already be Too Late,By the Time,When I can Go," Nestor informed,Informing Spyro,Cynder and Sparx of his Dilemma.
"We could do It,Nestor," Spyro volunteered,Confidently,Ready to take On the Job.
"Spyro,Are You Sure? This Trip won't be Easy,It will be filled with Peril,And,There is a Huge Possibility,That,You might not make It Back," Nestor notified,Attempting to Warn Spyro of the Dangers,Before,He,Just took It.
"Don't Worry,Nestor,We can do This,We've done the Impossible,Before," Spyro pointed Out.
"He's Right,Trust Us," Cynder agreed,Trying to help Her Mate,Convince Nestor.
"Oh,Well,Alright,If You want to,I Suppose,I can't Stop You," Nestor realized,Realizing,That,He wasn't going to be able to talk Them,Out of It.
"Great,All We need to Know is,Where to Go,And,Then,We'll be on Our Way," Sparx commented,Flying Up,Off the Ground,Ready to take Off,Once They got Directions.
"Very Well,You Three will have to Journey to the Center of the Milky Way,Where You will find the Ruler of the Skylands,Eon,Who is the Only Person,Who can provide You with the Information,To Repair the Core of Light,Unfortunately,With All This End of the Universe Stuff going On,We will not be able to Contact Your Friends,From the Other Realms,For Assistance,Cause,Now Avalar is Officially Cut Off,From the Other Dragon Realms,You're on your Own," Nestor explained,Giving Them the Instructions,They needed,And,Making Sure to Inform Them of Everything,He Knew about Their Current Situation.
"Doesn't mean,We can't do It,Together,Right,Spyro?" Cynder stated,Trying as Hard as She can,To Stay Hopeful.
"Right," Spyro agreed as Him,Cynder and Sparx left Nestor,And,Headed Off on the Long Journey to the Skylands.
"Man,And,Here I thought,Our Retirement was going to be a Peaceful One," Sparx complained,as He flew,At Spyro and Cynder's Side,With a Disappointed Look on his Face.
"Yep,So Much for That," Cynder murmured,Agreeing with,What Sparx was Saying.
"Well,Whoever,This Eon Person is,He better give Us a Loo-o-o-t of Gems," Sparx pointed Out,Wanting a Reward,For What They were doing Here.
"Oh,Don't Worry,Buddy,I'm Sure,You'll get Something Better than Gems," Spyro reassured.
"And,Besides,You could never Retire,Because,You're,Too Energetic," Spyro reminded,Raising an Eyebrow,as He told Him,Why He couldn't Retire.
"Hey,Speak for Yourself,Leatherhead," Sparx retorted,Firmly,as Him and Spyro glared at Each Other.
Before,Both Boys broke Out,Into Playful Laughter.
While,The Boys were Laughing,Playfully,Cynder stood,In Front of Them,Thinking about the Journey Ahead.
Spyro and Sparx stopped Laughing,as They noticed Cynder,Standing,Ahead of Them,In Silence.
Spyro's Expression Softened as He saw his Mate,Looking at the Path Ahead,Quietly.
Spyro approached Her,And,Joined Her,Standing,At Her Side.
"Cynder,You Okay?" Spyro whispered,Asking,Cynder,If She was Okay,as He nuzzled Her Shoulder,While,He Spoke.
"Yeah,Yeah,I'm Good,I'm,Just Unsure about the Dangers,That,Lie Ahead for Us," Cynder mentioned,Expressing,How Worried,She was,Through Her Voice.
"Cynd,It'll All Work Out,Everything is gonna be Okay,As Long as We're Together,There's Nothing,We can't do," Spyro encouraged,Softly.
Cynder turned to Spyro as She Smiled at Him,Showing Him,That,She felt Better.
The Three,Then,Took Flight,And,Began to Fly Off towards Their Next Adventure.

Back in the Peace Keeper's Homeworld.
Blayz and Max followed Gunnar,To The Conference Hall,Where All the Dragons met Up,And,Began to Discuss the Announcement.
"Peace Keepers,I have Gathered You All,Here,To Discuss a Matter of Great Importance,I have received Word,From Nestor,That,The Universe is becoming Unstable,And,With That Message,Nestor is Sure,He has found the Problem,A Magical Artifact,That,Resides in the Skylands,Called the Core of Light is the Cause of This,The Human Boy,Who came,Into Our World,Last Night,Was a Fine Example of It,The Boy was sent Here,From Earth,Due to a Tear,In Reality,Because of the Core of Light's Instability,And,Not Only has It affected Earth,But,It has,Also Affected the Other Worlds,As Well,Creating Random Portals,Even,Transporting Random Things to Our Realms,While,The Root Cause of This Instability is Unclear,If This Instability Continues,We could be Witnessing a Total Collapse of the Universe,Itself," Titan explained,Explaining,All the News,That,He had Discovered,From Nestor,In a Extremely Serious Tone.
The Peace Keepers,All Gasped,Not Liking,What They were Hearing,as They began to Panic,For the Coming Apocalypse.
"Is There Anything We can do to Prevent This,From Coming True?" Todor questioned,Hoping,There was,At Least,Some Good News about This Announcement.
"Yes,There is,In Order to Restore the Universe,Someone must make the Journey to the Skylands,Seek Out Eon,And,Repair the Core of Light," Titan eludicated,Answering Todor's Question.
"And,Who's going to do This,Exactly?" Gunnar asked,Out of Curiosity.
"I am Assigning This Mission,To...Blayz," Titan announced,Confidently,Knowing,He was doing the Right Thing,Assigning It to Him.
"What? Me? Really?" Blayz repeated,In Surprise.
"Why Else do You think,He Said It?" Max commented,Sarcastically.
"I don't Know,Titan,I'm not Sure,I'm Ready for Such a Big Responsibility," Blayz responded.
"Blayz,Trust Ignitus,He has bestowed Great Power and Wisdom in You,You,Just have to Use It,You can do This,I Know,You can,And,Deep Down,I'm Sure,You know It,Too,Besides,You won't be Alone,Max will Accompany You," Titan reassured,Softly,as He put his Paw,On Blayz's Shoulder,And,Smiled,While He talked.
"Wait,What? I can't go with Him," Max retorted,Angrily,Not Liking,What He heard,And,Definitely,Not Wanting to Go with Blayz.
"As Well,As Some Other Very Important Allies,That,You will Meet," Titan continued,Finishing,What He was,Trying to Say.
"Who are These Allies gonna be?" Blayz asked,Out of Curiosity.
"Oh,You'll find Out,Soon," Titan replied,as He winked at Him.
"So,What do We do,While,We wait for Them to Return?" Gunnar wondered,Wondering,What Him and the Other Dragons could do.
"What We can do is,Stay Brave and United,Seeing That,We cannot leave Our Home Un-Protected,Blayz will make the Journey to Save Us All,While,We'll remain Here,To Protect Our World,And,Try to Hold Out as Long,As We can,The Other Realms are doing the Same Thing,They,Too have Sent Heroes to Solve the Problem,And,Are Holding Out,As Well,We must Prepare for the Worst,Meeting Adjourned," Titan answered,Announcing,That,The Meeting was Done.
As They All left the Conference Hall,To Prepare for the Coming Threat,While,Blayz and Max went Back to Blayz's House to Pack Up Some Supplies.
However.
The Only One doing the Packing was Blayz,Max was,Just Sitting on the Floor,Doing Nothing.
"Hmm,We'll need First Aid,Check,Food,Check," Blayz listed to Himself,as He,Carefully Packed Supplies for Them.
Max Sighed as He sat,On the Floor,Twirling his Finger,In Boredom.
"This is Ludicrous,Trusting a Dragon like This One,To Save the World,And,Out of All the People,Here,I am the One,Stuck with Him," Max complained,Complaining about the Fact,That,He was the One being Forced to Go with Him,And,Not Someone Else.
"You Know,Max,You could Help Me,If You Want," Blayz suggested,Nicely,Seeing Him Bored,And,Trying to give the Boy,Something to do.
"Mm,I think Not," Max stated,Sarcastically,as He put a Fake Smile on his Face,Before Frowning,Again,And,Looking Back Down at the Floor.
Blayz Sighed,In Disappointment,as He turned Back to the Bag,To Finish Packing Their Supplies.
Thanks to Max,Not Helping,It took Him and Max,A Lot Longer,Than It should've,To Pack the Supplies,They needed.
The Two didn't Actually Finish It,Till an Hour,Or So,After.
Now,That,They're Supplies was Packed,Max and Blayz left Blayz's House,And,Started to Walk towards the Gates of the Peace Keeper's Stronghold,To Start Their Adventure.
That was,Until,Blayz heard his Name.
"Blayz,Max,Hold Up," Titan called Out,Warning Them Not to Go,Just Yet.
Blayz and Max stopped,When They heard Their Names as They turned Around,To See Titan,Motioning for Them,To Come Over There.
Blayz ran,Over There,To Hear,What Titan had to Say,While,Max,Just Slowly walked,Over There.
"What is It,Titan?" Blayz questioned.
"You'll need This," Titan whispered,as He held a Map,Out to Blayz.
Titan opened Blayz's Paw,And,Put the Map into Them.
Blayz opened the Map,To Look at,What was on It.
"But,Wait,This Map isn't of the Skylands," Blayz pointed Out,In Confusion.
"No,It's Not,Because,There's not an Existing Map of the Skylands,This Map will lead You to the Location of a Special Gem,This Special Gem will Create a Portal to the Skylands,As You Know,We Dragons use Gems to travel between Worlds,Throughout the Universe,However,This Specific One is in Another World,The Gem is guarded by a Race of Small Butterfly Dragons called the Aleum,Who reside in a Another World named Monastacia," Titan explained,Explaining to the Boys,Why,They were getting a Different Map.
"What the Heck is Monastacia?" Max added,Not Knowing,What the Place was.
"Monastacia is a Magical Isle,Located in Another World connected to the Dragon Realms,Where We're living,In Order to get to Monastacia,You need to follow the Map,Which will lead You,To a Hidden Cavern Underneath an Oasis,Where You'll find a Large Portal,That will lead,Straight to the Aleum's World," Titan eludicated,Answering Max's Question,And,Finishing his Directions,At the Same Time.
"Thanks,Titan," Blayz thanked as He turned Around,About to Start Back towards the Peace Keepers Main Gates,With Max,Following Close Behind.
But,Blayz,Immediately,Turned Around,And,Walked Back,Over to Titan.
Max Sighed as He saw Him stop,And,Go Back to Titan.
They were,Supposed to be going Somewhere,But,This Dragon kept putting It Off.
He did want to get Home,Some Time Soon.
Blayz stood Face to Face with Titan as He Said.
"I Promise,I'll make You Proud,And,My Parents,As Well," Blayz declared,Confidently,Trying with Every Fiber of his Being,To believe in Himself.
"I Know,You will," Titan replied.
Blayz,Quickly,Put his Arms,Around Titan,And,Hugged Him,Tightly.
Titan Smiled as He put his Arms,Around Blayz.
After Their Short Heartfelt Embrace,Blayz and Max opened the Gates to the Peace Keeper's Stronghold,And,Set Off,Into the Desert,as the Peace Keepers stood at the Gates of the Stronghold,To See Them Off.
The Peace Keepers,All Waved as They watched the Two Boys start Their Walk,Through the Desert.
"Best of Luck,Heroes,Save Us All," Titan murmured to Himself as He watched Them Leave.
As The Two's Adventure had Officially began.
Back in the Forgotten Realms.
Malefor sat,On his Throne,Already Knowing of the News about the Core of Light's Location.
If Malefor's Assumption was Correct,Then,This Core of Light could,Not Only Restore Him,But,Be the Key to his Enemies's Demise.
Believing,That,The Core of Light has god-like Powers,Since,It was the Artifact,That,Controls the Universe,Malefor,Now,Wanted It.
The Core of Light could give Him,His Wish,His Wish for Immortality.
Then,No One would be able to stand in his Way,Not,Even Spyro.
"Once This Wish becomes a Reality,Nothing will defeat me,Not,Even Spyro," Malefor mumbled to Himself.
Malefor was,About to Stand Up,To get Going,Before He Remembered Something.
He was,In Shadow Form,He couldn't Leave,The Dragon Realms.
However.
It wasn't All Bad.
Cause,Now,He had an Advisor.
"Nightshade," Malefor called,Firmly.
Suddenly.
Nightshade burst Open the Doors to the Throne Room,And,Kneeled,Before his Master.
"You called,My Lord?" Nightshade answered,Ready to hear his Master,Give Him Instructions.
"Yes,There's Something,I need You to do,Seek Out Ripto,Gnasty Gnorc and the Sorceress,And,Bring Them to Me,I need Their Help,To gain Possession of the Core of Light," Malefor announced.
"Yes,Sir,Should I do It,Right Away?" Nightshade asked,Respectfully.
"Not Yet,Let Me let You in,On a Little Secret,You See,I predicted,That,My Most Powerful Servant,Cynder would betray Me,During the Dragon Wars,So,I kept a Backup Plan,In Case,My Prediction came True,And,That Backup Plan is in the Form of a Dragon Egg," Malefor said,Before He went On,To Explain to Nightshade,Why He wanted Him,To get the Villains.
"Master,Forgive Me,But,Wouldn't the Dragon Egg be Gone,By Now?" Nightshade questioned,Wondering,Why,Malefor was going to 'Waste' his Time on a 'Dead Egg.'
"No,My Servant,It wouldn't,Cause,I Capture,This Egg,During the Dragon Wars,And,Put It in a Stasis Chamber,To Preserve It,Now,That,I am Back,I will hatch the Egg,Then,I'll Unleash It's Powers on the Heroes,However,It will take,Some Time to Hatch,So,In the Meantime,The Three Villains will keep Them Busy,While,I hatch the Egg," Malefor explained,Explaining,Why,It wouldn't be Dead,Before,Telling Nightshade his Plan.
"Alright,Master Malefor,I shall Go,Get the Heroes for You,To buy You Time," Nightshade accepted,Accepting the Offer,as He ran,Out the Fortress Doors,And,Headed for the Dragon Realms to Gather Up the Three Villains.
Malefor watched as He saw his Second in Command,Leave the Realm,And,Head to do his Bidding.
"Ha! Everything is Proceeding,As I have Foreseen,You have No Idea,What,You're In For,Spyro," Malefor declared to Himself,Before,Letting Out an Evil Laugh.
As the Evil Laugh echoed,Throughout the Entire Forgotten Realm.
