Chapter I: Father and daughter

"No, I won't marry again", Cersei said, her chin held defiantly and angrily shoved a stray strand of her golden hair out of her face.

"Don't be such a fool and come back to reason. I've told you, why." Her father answered.

"I've had my share of fools, father. Thanks." Her mouth twitched. "As for reason, I see no use in only marrying again to contradict a stupid rumor of incest." It was out, she thought. A lie made truth the more it is said, so she hoped for.

All in the room went quite. Her uncle Kevan and her father avoided Cersei's eyes, except for her brother Tyrion, who watched Tywin and Cersei alternately when they spoke. Her brother's mismatched eyes spoke of curiosity and amusement.

"I don't argue about things which are plainly to see and are already decided, yet." Tywin's voice was just slightly rough in a threatening tremble.

"I am the queen regent!" Cersei said into his unmoved face while standing up. "The only one who tells me to marry again will be Joffrey", she emphasizes her last two words, "our king." She pounded out of the room in long strides and slammed the door.

Silence fell more heavily as even before. All three men's faces were frozen. Then Tywin raised an eyebrow. "Where there any next points of agenda?"
