Lester Dawson never liked the idea of his little girl dating. He especially didn't like her new boyfriend.

So what if there was nothing wrong with the kid and he was a great boyfriend to Ally? Lester was still paranoid.

What if he hurt his little girl? Lester would beat the crap out of him that's for sure.

It was 11:10 pm, ten minutes past her curfew.

'Where is she?' Lester thought.

Lester paced around the living room for another five minutes till he heard a car pull up. He raced to the window to peek outside.

His grunted in discomfort as he saw Austin kissing his daughter outside the window. The two were all snuggled up outside the porch light, just embracing each other.

Lester made his way to the front door and stepped outside, he stood their arms crossed glaring at the young couple.

When the pair still hadn't noticed him he sighed before clearing his throat.

Ahem.

Startled, the two oblivious teens instantly pulled apart, staring right back at the angry figure.

"Allyson where have you been?! It's fifteen minutes past your curfew!" The angry father exclaimed.

Ally sheepishly smiled back at her father,

"Sorry no dad, we were walking on the boardwalk and we lost track of time." She squeezed her boyfriends hand before giving him a quick peck on the cheek.

"Night Austin." Ally flirtatious waved before walking inside the house.

Austin just stared wide eyed at the glaring man, deciding whether or not he should run.

Lester gave one last glare to Austin before turning around to walk back inside.

Lester stopped right at the door before turning to face Austin.

"Just don't let it happen again okay son?"

Austin quickly nodded before running to his car.

Lester sighed, he seemed to be doing that a lot these days.

His daughter was graduating. His baby girl wasn't a little girl now, she was an adult.

He really didn't like that his daughter was going to college. And her boyfriend was going to the same college. And they would be living in dorms...with no parental supervision.

Lester was getting off track, he quickly shook his head and focused his attention on his daughter.

Now Lester wasn't one to cry very often but he did shed a few tears during her graduation speech. The tears faded very quickly when he saw how close Austin and Ally were touching.

He and Penny joined the Moons on their way towards the two teenagers.

The parents approached the two teens, separating them much to Lester's enjoyment .

"Oh Ally we're so proud of you!" Penny gushed.

"Oh sweetie, we love you so much. Come here." Lester opened his arms for his daughter who ran right in.

Lester held on tight to his daughter as he watched Penny walk over to the blonde boy to congratulate him. Penny gave him a look and he knew he needed to congratulate the boy too.

Begrudgingly he let go of his daughter and the father daughter duo made their way to the blonde and his family.

Lester walked right up to Austin, giving his shoulder a firm squeeze and a seemingly innocent smile.

"Good job son." He congratulated.

Austin smiled brightly, "Thanks Mr. Dawson. I could have never done it without Ally."

He pulled Ally into him giving her a sweet kiss which the moms gushed at but Lester not so much..

Once he saw the death glare he was receiving Austin pulled away immediately, he would never admit it but he was afraid of the older man.

Lester knew the day was coming but he didn't think it would be that soon.

Austin & Ally has just gone into their second year is college, which why Lester was surprised to see Austin standing at his door with a bouquet of flowers in hand.

Penny was on her way to the front door but Lester beat her to it. (A/N: in this fic they're still married)

"Lester honey who- oh hello Austin. What are you doing here?" Penny questioned the blonde boy as she motioned for him to step inside.

"I have to ask you two a question, also these are for you Penny." The blonde handed the bouquet of flowers to the woman.

Lester crossed his arms in disdain, he knew exactly what was going on.

"You knocked her up so you want to ask our permission to marry her?" Lester asked in discomfort.

The blonde blushed a scarlet red, clearly he had not expected to hear that.

"What!? No! I mean yes but no!" The blonde tried to explain.

"Well than what is it dear?" Penny asked curiously.

Austin took a deep breath before looking the older man right in the eyes and started the speech he had been practicing for hours.

"Lester, Penny, I love your daughter with all my heart. These last 5 years with her have been the years of my life and all I want is to spend the rest of my life with her. I want to have kids and grow old with her. I want her to die a Moon. I know we're young but I will never love anyone like I love Ally. I promise I will always put her above myself and love her and care for her like she deserves. So may I please have Ally Dawson's hand in marriage?"

Lester had not expected this. His little girl getting married? In Austin's dreams.

"Follow me let's have a chat outside." The older man guided the young blonde outside.

Lester stood for a moment, just analyzing the nervous blonde. Would his daughter really want to get married? She was just so young.

After another moment of Lester analyzing *cough judging cough* the young blonde Austin finally spoke up.

"So...?" He asked, a hopeful smile across his face.

Lester returned the smile before walking towards his front door, just before he entered his home he turned back to face the young boy.

"The answers no, but thanks for the flowers!" He cheerfully said before shutting the door, leaving a shocked Austin to stand outside.

He walked into the kitchen to see his wife preparing dinner. He walked over to her placing a kiss on her cheek before starting to load the dishwasher.

A couple minutes of silence passed between the older couple before Penny acknowledged the elephant in the room.

She paused chopping the vegetables before staring at the window next to her husband, there she saw a still frozen blonde boy.

"Lester, what did you say to Austin?" She asked suspiciously.

"Hm? I told him no, our little girl is too young to be getting married. You know if they get married we'll have Auslly grandchildren before you know it." He spat the word out in disdain. Oh yeah, Lester was very up to date when it came to the internet and his daughter's dating life.

"Lester!" She scolded, "Did you really tell him he dosen't have our blessing? "

The older man shrugged, not daring to look at his glaring wife.

She shook her head before turning back to the vegetables, she knew her husband would come around eventually.

It was now Austin and Ally's college graduation, for 2 years he had been trying to get Lester's blessing but failed each time. He knew today he would finally get it.

The graduates were all being congratulated by their families when Austin stepped onto the stage. He had already collected his diploma but the school asked him to preform a few songs.

"Hey everybody, I'm Austin Moon!" The audience clapped as the blonde boy continued.

"Congratulations to my fellow classmates who have graduated, I hope you all go very far in life. I'm going to preform a couple songs today and this first one goes to a very special girl's family."

He took a deep breath before starting the song, staring right at Lester.

"Saturday morning, jumped our bed, and put on my best suit

Got in my car, and raced like a jet, all the way to you

Knocked on you door with heart on my hand to ask you a question

'Cause I know that you're an old-fashioned man yeah, yeah

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?

Say yes, say yes, 'cause I need to know

You say I'll never get your blessing till the day I die tough luck my friend but the answer is no!

Why you gotta be so Rude?

Don't you know I'm human too?

Why you gotta be so Rude?

I'm gonna marry her anyway

Marry that girl, marry her anyway

Marry that girl, yeah, no matter what you say

Marry that girl, and we'll be a family

Why you gotta be so Rude?

I hate to do this, you leave no choice, can't live without her

Love me or hate me, we will be boys standing at that altar

Or we will run away to another galaxy, you know

You know she's in love with me, she will go anywhere I go

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?

Say yes, say yes, 'cause I need to know

You say I'll never get your blessing till the day I die tough luck my friend but the answer's still no!

Why you gotta be so Rude?

Don't you know I'm human too?

Why you gotta be so Rude?

I'm gonna marry her anyway

Marry that girl, marry her anyway

Marry that girl, no matter what you say

Marry that girl, and we'll be a family

Why you gotta be so Rude?

Rude?

Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?

Say yes, say yes, 'cause I need to know

You say I'll never get your blessing 'til the day I die touch luck my friend but no still means no

Why you gotta be so Rude?

Why you gotta be so Rude?"

Nervously, the blonde boy looked straight into Lester's eyes.

"So what do you say Lester, can I marry you daughter?"

All eyes were on Lester, waiting to see the man's answer.

"Yes." Lester finally answered.

Austin pumped his fist into the air before pulling Ally onto the stage and getting down on one knee, pulling out a ring box.

"Ally- I still don't know your middle name- Dawson, these last 7 years have been the best of my life and after finally getting the approval of your father will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?"

Everyone stared hesitantly at the shocked brunette who's face hasn't unfrozen since before Austin sand the song.

"Uhm Ally?" Austin asked nervously, she still hadn't replied and his knee was starting to wobble.

Ally snapped out of her trance before a few tears leaked from her eyes.

"YES!" She exclaimed, she pulled the blonde into a passionate kiss, much to her fathers dismay.

Everyone cheered as he slipped the ring onto her finger. Lester may not want to let go of his little girl but he knew she was making the right choice.

Today was the day. Today was the day Lester would give away his daughter and she would no longer be a Dawson.

He waited at the church doors for his daughter. After a few moments the bridesmaids starting walking through the church doors.

Lester gasped when he saw his daughter, his baby girl was now a beautiful woman. He quickly engulfed his daughter into a tight hug before linking his arm with hers.

The two made their way into the church as the music started playing. He focused his gaze on the lovesick blonde upfront. Lester would never admit it but he knew Austin was the right choice for his daughter.

The two arrived at the altar, Lester reluctantly let go of his girl and walked over towards where his wife was sitting.

The wedding officiant began the ceremony.

"Today we are here to celebrate the marriage of Austin Monica Moon and Ally Edgar Dawson. Who gives away this young woman?" The officiant asked.

Lester stood up, looking right at his beautiful girl.

"I do." He said proudly.

The ceremony continued, the young in-love couple saying their vows and ending the ceremony with a sweet kiss.

While Lester may be sad that his little girl isn't his little girl anymore he knew she was in good hands.

Lester knew he would get grandchildren eventually but he didn't think it would be this soon.

Austin and Ally had arrived back from the honeymoon two weeks ago and both sets of parents were meeting at the freshly married couple's house for lunch.

They had just started eating when Ally quickly stood up.

"I have to go get something I'll be back soon." She stated quickly.

While the couple hadn't confirmed it yet everyone knew she was pregnant. Which was why all eyes were on the blushing blonde.

The older couples continued to chat as they waited for the young woman to return. Everyone except Austin exchanged knowing looks and smirked, indicating they wanted to tease the young man.

"So Lester, what are your opinions on grandchildren?" Mimi Moon asked, ignoring her sons red face.

"I don't know Mimi, depends on whose grandchildren." Lester replied.

"If we were to have grandchildren we definitely could use them in our mattress commercials right Mimi? We could use other people for the commercials but I don't think that would be appropriate would it?" Mike added, very obviously making a jab at his son.

The older adults all resisted the urge to laugh at the blonde's face. Lester didn't think it was possible for someone to blush so hard and he was enjoying every second of it.

"Austin," Penny started. "I tried to call Ally on your honeymoon but she said she couldn't talk because you two were busy doing fun things in the Bahamas. What did you guys do?" She asked very obviously implying something.

"Uhm.." Was all Austin could say before Ally returned, everyone snickered as the blonde visibly relaxed.

"Here, wait to open them until everyone has them." Ally said, handing each couple a box.

Ally sat back in her seat, excitedly watching the parents.

Mike and Mimi went first, the opened the box to find a onesie with a mattress on it, a plastic crown, and a note that read

'Your little prince is having his own little princess'

Baby Moon, due 12.2.23

The Dawson's box contained a onesie with a guitar on the front and the words "Sonic Boom" on the butt of the onesie. Their note read,

'This little butterfly has a caterpillar in her cocoon'

Baby Moon due 12.2.23

The two mothers raced towards the expecting woman, engulfing her in a hug.

The two fathers just stared at the soon-to-be father while the women cried and hugged. Mike was the first to break the staring. He gave his son a knowing smirk before patting his shoulder and adding a "Good job." Before going over to the pregnant woman.

Austin and Lester just stared at each other. While everyone here knew how pregnancy worked Austin really wished Lester didn't. Lester decided to stop teasing the anxious blonde and gave him a hug much to Austin's surprise.

"Congratulations, make sure you take care of them okay?" Lester asked. Austin nodded in response and Lester walked over to congratulate his daughter.

12. 2. 23

Today was the day Ava Marie Moon was welcomed into the world. The very soon-to-be grandparents were all sitting in the waiting room as echoes of Ally's cries of pain bounced off the walls.

While he didn't like that his daughter was in pain he smiled as he remembered 23 years ago when his daughter was born.

*November 29, 2000* (A/N: I know Laura was born in 1995 but she and Ally share the same birthday (was said on the show) but for this story Ally was born in 2000)

Lester anxiously waited to hear the newborn's cry. His hand was hurting from his wife constantly squeezing it, but he knew it would be worth it in the end.

After a few more pushed the doctors finally help up his baby girl. They quickly cleaned her off before handing her to Lester.

He stared at the beautiful baby girl in front of him. Lester knew he would always protect her, whether it be from monsters under the bed or boys he would keep her safe.

"Hi baby girl," He cooed. "I'm your daddy, and your my beautiful little girl."

Lester knew from that moment on he would do anything for that little girl, even if she wouldn't always be his little girl.

*12.2.23*

After another hour of waiting and hearing Ally and Austin's cries of pain, (Ally from birth. Austin from her squeezing his hand.)

Austin finally emerged from the delivery room, in his arms a little pink bundle.

"Hey guys," he said softly. "Meet Ava Marie Moon." He smiled lovingly at his baby girl.

Everyone crowded around the new father to get a glimpse of the newest addition to the Moon-Dawson family.

"She's beautiful honey." Mimi cooed, placing a loving hand on her sons shoulder.

"She's a perfect combination of you two." Penny added.

"Good job son, she's gorgeous." Mike gave him a pat on the back, admiring the baby in his son's arms.

As Austin passed the baby to the moms Lester engulfed the young father into a hug.

"Good job kid, I'm proud of you.". Lester whispered to the young man.

Hours later when Lester was visiting his daughter and he saw the look Austin was giving towards his wife and daughter Lester knew he made the right choice letting him Marry That Girl.

The End.

I hope you enjoyed this! I worked on this for a couple hours and I'm very proud of it. I came up with the idea a couple weeks ago and I realized we don't see much of Lester's point of view so we? Anyways I thought this was cute and I hope you enjoyed it! Please read and review!!!
