Danny woke up, feeling less sore than yesterday. Well, he thinks was yesterday. He carefully pushes himself up, feeling his body crack in a few places. He was able to sit up and noticed his legs. They too were covered in bandages, but they didn't look as burnt as his arms. He tried to move them and was happy to feel that they didn't hurt. Still, he carefully swings his legs around and places them on the floor. Taking a breath, Danny slowly pushed himself up, trying to stand. At first, he fell back on the bed and tried again. They wobbled, but he was able to remain on his feet. He then tried to walk, only for an arm to wrap around his shoulders.

"You need to take it easy." Beelzebub said, smiling.

"How bad do I look?" Danny asked.

"Enough that you shouldn't be alive right now. But some guardian angel must have made sure that you live after what happened to you." Beelzebub half-joked.

She helped Danny out of the room and towards the bathroom. She had him sit down as she ran the bath. Danny saw she removed her red jacket, showing her black shirt under it. Even part of it was unbuttoned to show some of her breasts. He quickly looks away, trying not to blush.

"There. Now let me get you out of your bandages and clothes." She said, looking at him.

"What?!" Danny asked, shocked.

"With how bad you're injury, you need all the help you can get," Beelzebub said.

Danny sighed, knowing he couldn't argue with that. He let Beelzebub remove the bandages from his arms, hands, and legs before taking off his shirt to remove bandages from his chest too. He noticed the mark on him was still glowing and looked a bit worried.

"I've never seen this happen before. And I have no idea what it means." Beelzebub said, knowing what he was thinking.

Danny sighed as Beelzebub removed his pants and his boxers. However, she paid no mind to his naked body as she helped him into the tub. Danny was surprised to feel the water and how it seemed to ease up some of the soreness he still had.

"There. I'm going to let you sit there for a while. I'm going to get you some new clothes." She said, picking up the burnt and ruined clothes he was wearing.

"Beel? Why are you helping me? Aren't you a ghost?" Danny asked.

Beelzebub smirks, understanding his confusion.

"I'm not a ghost. I said I was banished. I'm a demon. I came from hell." She corrected him.

Danny looks shocked at that, but Beelzebub smiles again.

"As for why I'm helping you, I like to treat my guests with some hospitality. I rarely have them and it gets boring being inside this huge mansion." She answered.

"Mansion?" Danny asked, surprised.

"Yep. Since I'm not a ghost, I don't have my own lair. So, I built this place with my own hands." She said, smirking.

"You made this place?!" Danny asked, shocked.

"Yes. I'll answer more of your questions later. For now, just relax and enjoy." Beelzebub said.

She left the room, leaving a surprised Danny in the tub. Danny didn't understand any of it. She was a demon?! Hell was real?! Danny sighs. He lifted his burnt hand and saw it was still red from the portal. He then used his other hand to carefully touch the mark on his chest. He had no idea what it was or why it felt like it was pulsing. Danny sighs and decides to follow what Beel told him.

"Why can't I still not place her name?" He asked himself.

An hour later,

Beelzebub returned with new clothes for him and helped Danny out of the bath. She helps dry him before placing the bandages back on. She then helps him get dressed before taking him to her dining room. He was wearing a red suit with a black vest underneath it. Beelzebub places a plate in front of him, surprising him.

"Pancakes?" He asked.

"It took me a few 100 years, but I was able to make them the way you humans do." She said, sitting down.

Danny looks at her, seeing Beelzebub tuck a napkin in her collar. She took her fork and knife and cut a piece off. He watched her take a bite as some purple stuff came out of her mouth.

"Oh, forgive me. That's not from the pancake. It's my version of a "Mouth Water" you humans have." She said, quickly seeing his face.

Danny looked unsure before taking a breath. His right arm was no longer in a cast and was wrapped the same way as his left hand. Since the bath helped ease up some of his soreness, Danny could grab both his knife and fork and use them to cut and eat the pancake.

"Wow! This is good." Danny said, surprised.

"Thank you," Beelzebub said.

The two ate, enjoying the pancakes and company of each other. Once they were done, Beelzebub removed her napkin and wiped her face.

"So, Danny? What a tour of my home?" She asked, smiling.

"Sure," Danny said, wiping his face too.

Beelzebub helped him up and showed him her home. She had lots of rooms, many of which were left unfinished. The room he was using was actually hers. She was putting some finishing touches on it. It was going to be his room until she could find a way to take him home.

'I still don't want him to leave. But, I know he'll worry about his family. It's going to break his heart when he sees them, however.' She thought, sighing.

"I have one more room to show you." She said, making Danny look at her.

She led him to another room that had a huge portal-like window floating in the middle.

"This is a window I use to see into the human realm. It's how I learn to make pancakes." She said, helping Danny closer to it.

"I also use it to see your family and friends." She added, looking a bit sad.

"Beel?" Danny asked, confused.

"When the portal turns on with you inside. You didn't come out. Everyone thinks you died." Beelzebub said, showing the images of his parents and his sister.

Jack and Maddie cried when they heard what happened, both of them upset that they lost one of their kids in their quest to prove Ghosts were real. Jazz was in her room, actually crying over the loss of her brother. Danny frowns. He almost wanted to speak up, but wasn't sure if they would hear him.

"I'm sorry, Danny. I know you wish to speak to them, but they won't be able to hear you." Beelzebub said, sadly.

"What about Tucker and Sam?" He asked.

Beelzebub waved her hand and showed both of them. Sam was in her room, crying about Danny. She was a mess and didn't care what her parents said. Sam had to live with the fact she just sent Danny to death. Tucker was also in his room, looking very upset about losing his best friend. However, it seems his parents were trying to help him a lot more than Sam's.

Danny looks down, feeling tears coming from his face.

"I'm sorry, Danny. I didn't want to show you this, but I knew you would ask about them. I thought it was better for you to see this now." Beelzebub told him, looking sad herself.

Danny didn't say anything. Everyone thought he was dead and he had no way of telling them he was okay. Beelzebub closed the window and helped Danny out of the room. She took him to her living room and set him on the couch. She grabbed a tissue and dried his eyes.

"Take all the time you need." She said, knowing this would bother him for a while.

Danny said nothing. Beelzebub felt like he wanted to be alone and started to stand up. He was surprised to see Danny grab her hand.

"Stay." He said, not looking at her.

She felt a bit touched he wanted her to stay but understood he was still hurting differently. She sat down and pulled Danny close to her, letting him cry on her.

"Don't worry, Danny. I'll take care of you." She said, petting his head.

And another chapter. Danny is still recovered and Beelzebub is helping him the best she could. She fed him some pancakes and showed him around her mansion. And since she knew Danny would ask about his friends and family, also knowing it would hurt him, she took him to the "Window Room" and showed him the image of his family and friends. It hurt him as badly as everyone else, and Beelzebub is going to help him every step away. She wants him to stay with her forever, but she will let Danny go home in time. And yes, Beelzebub will go with him.

And that's this story running gag, by the way. Danny has no clue why he finds Beelzebub's name so familiar.
