A solo villain. Everyone always said you can't make it as one. You'd be stuck in nothing but pointless murders and purse snatching without a big backing.
Someone to watch your back for you. "Tch, yeah, more like waiting for someone to stab you in the back."
Name's Izuku Midoriya. I'm known throughout japan as the number one person not to fuck with. Not even All for One is brave enough to try. He knows I can figure out his plans to move against me and the many repercussions of trying. So he sits in his little hole, experimenting away on his abominations.
Anyways, enough about Mr potato head. Right now, I was just walking down the street, enjoying my day. Yeah, people were freaking out but I wasn't particularly worried. Any heroes who spot me usually just run away or act like they never saw me.
At least, that's usually how it happened until something crashed in front of me. Curious, I waited for the dust to clear, revealing a woman with long, snow white hair and a crazed look in her eyes that sent a jolt of excitement through my body.
"Well, who do we have here? A new hero?" I looked the woman up and down, seeing the muscles she had.
The woman looked at me, a crazed look in her blood red eyes and a wicked smile stretched across her face. "I'm just here to kick your ass."
Izuku smiled but before he knew it, the hero had jumped away from her position, launching herself towards him like a rocket. Izuku barely managed to dodge out of the way as a foot aimed at his head, came herdling by.
Izuku grabbed her leg, throwing her to the ground cracking the concrete beneath them. "Whew, that was a rush. Didn't expect to be attacked so fast. Heroes just love to talk before the fighting starts."
The hero pulled herself out of the concrete, dust and chunks falling off of her. "Tch, you talk too much. How about more fighting!" She said before launching herself at Izuku again, but this time faster than she had before. Izuku felt the kick to his ribs, knocking him back and crashing through a brick wall.
Miruko didn't give him a second to recover as she rushed towards the hole, her excitement going into overdrive. Izuku pushed off the rubble and junk that had covered him. 'Jeez. Didn't expect this level of insanity. Well, I guess I can accommodate.' A small smile formed on his face as he saw the hero quickly approaching him.
——
Three hours. Izuku and Miruko had been fighting for three hours straight. The two stood across from each other on the ruined street, collapsed buildings and ruined structures surrounded them. Izuku chuckled to himself.
Miruko looked at the man, anger growing. "The fuck…" she paused, panting. "Is so fucking funny?!"
Izuku shrugged. "I'm just surprised you've managed to last this long. I mean, no offense, but you seem like you're still a rookie."
"Tch, yeah, so what?" She asked as she tried to catch her breath from the near non stop fighting.
"It's just weird. I know I haven't heard of any rabbit heroes in this city before today. So who are you?"
"Tch, names Miruko. Don't give a shit about fame or any of that garbage. Just wanna go around, kicking ass."
Izuku began laughing. "Ah, fuck. I like you. Damn." Izuku smiled to himself.
"So, who the fuck are you?" Miruko asked.
He shrugged. "I'm Izuku. Not much else. Villain, I guess." He walked over and sat against a wall that hadn't collapsed yet. Miruko walked up to him, confused about what was happening.
"So what now?" She asked.
Izuku shrugged as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes, but upon seeing them utterly destroyed, tossed them away. "I mean, I was gonna wait for you to get your energy back before we fought again. Why? You wanna do something else?"
Rumi was about to yell that she didn't need to rest before nearly collapsing. She huffed, sitting down next to Izuku. "I don't know. I could use a nap." She let out a yawn as her eyes began to grow heavy. She could feel the adrenaline quickly leaving her body as all of her exhaustion began to set in all too fast.
Izuku just sat there, watching the sun set. "I can't blame you, I do that to women." He joked, earning a jab in his bruised ribs. "Heheh, anyways, I can bring you to my place. You can rest up without worrying."
"Tch, and why would I trust you?"
He shrugged. "You probably shouldn't since I am a well known villain around the world. But at the same time, if I wanted to kill you, I could just do it without taking you back to my house."
Miruko, feeling like she could pass out at any second, just nodded and felt herself being picked up. Izuku put her on his back and began his treck to his home.
——
Miruko woke up in a daze. She felt a headache pounding away. She looked around, seeing a table next to her with a paper and some pills sitting next to a glass of water. She grabbed the note, quickly reading through it.
"These should help with any lingering pain or headaches. I should be in the kitchen or living room when you wake up so come find me."
Miruko groaned, looking at the meds, skeptical of the legitimacy of them. "You know what, fuck it. Not like I can do anything with this damn headache." She was starting to see prisms so she figured it couldn't be worse than this.
Grabbing the pills, shoving them in her mouth and chugging them down with the water, she was immediately feeling relief. With a sigh, she got up out of the bed and stood on wobbly legs that were feeling like jelly.
Walking out of the bedroom, using the walls as support, she headed through the building she was in before hearing what sounded like a tv. Heading towards the sound, she saw the green haired guy she was fighting, sitting back and relaxing.
The news was on the tv showing the aftermath of their fight, which was luckily an area that was all set for demolition anyways due to whatever was wrong with the ground, she wasn't paying much attention. She sighed to herself.
"Oh, hey, you're awake." Miruko looked at the green haired guy, looking at her with those emerald eyes that sent a shiver through her. "How're you feeling?"
"Like shit. How the fuck do I look?" She asked, trying to figure out a way to escape this place.
"Like a cute bunny girl that had the night of her life." Rumi couldn't hold back the blush that grew on her face.
'Wh-what the fuck?! Why am I fucking blushing?!'
"Anyways," Izuku said, getting up and stretching. "You're welcome to leave at anytime. If you need, I can take you wherever you need." He looked her up and down, making her blush deepen. "And from the looks of it, you might need the help."
"Fuck you, asshole." She made her way into the living room, falling back onto the couch. "I don't need your fucking help."
Izuku shrugged, sitting back down in his recliner. "Suit yourself. Stay as long as you like. I have food cooking if you wanna stay."
Rumi just sat there, refusing to look at him anymore. Instead, she was trying to keep herself from blushing anymore. "What the hell are you even doing this for?" She asked.
Izuku sat there, thinking about it himself. "I don't know." Then he grew a small smile. "Anyways, you like carrot soup?" He asked, getting up to check on the food.
——
Rumi was sitting at the table, glaring at Izuku as she ate the soup. 'Why the fuck does this taste so good?!'
Izuku wasn't fazed by her glare as he ate his own bowl of soup. "You like it?" He asked, getting an angry noise from the bunny girl. He chuckled before growing a serious expression. "But seriously, I'm not holding you here. You can leave here whenever you want."
Rumi looked him over. "And what's stopping me from just telling the police and other heroes about where you live?"
Izuku chuckled. "Oh trust me. The police are well aware of where I live. But they also know I'm fully prepared to deal with whatever they throw at me. But if you want to, go right ahead. I'm not gonna stop you." He began to get up. "Anyways, I'm gonna head to bed. You can stay in that room you were in or leave. There's plenty of soup if you want more." He walked out of the dining room and down a hallway.
Rumi just watched him leave, unsure of what to do. She might be able to make it back to her apartment but with how tired she was from her fight, she couldn't be sure.
——
Rumi felt her consciousness coming back, waking up in that bed again. She was dressed in a pair of pajamas that she found on her bed last night. She stretched out her limbs, feeling a lot more refreshed than she was yesterday. As she was stretching, a smell hit her nose as her stomach let out a growl of needed sustenance.
She walked out the door and headed to the kitchen and saw Izuku cooking french toast, eggs, bacon and sausage. He glance over, seeing her peeking at him. "Hey, morning. Food should be done in a few minutes. Go sit down on the couch while you wait."
Rumi did, too tired to say anything to him. She was never a morning person. She preferred to sleep in until noon before waking up. She sat down on the couch with a flop, turning the tv on to the news.
"In other news, the new hero, Miruko, still missing after her fight with Izuku Midoriya. It has only been a day since their encounter and people are already talking about him taking her prisoner, trying to get information out of her."
Rumi just rolled her eyes. She changed the channel to a game show, watching people fail at figuring out a simple sentence.
After a few minutes, Rumi was sitting at the table, eating the breakfast. "So I'm guessing your gonna be leaving soon?" Izuku asked. Rumi could have sworn he had a slightly sad tone to his voice but didn't think about it.
"Yeah. People are freaking out. They think you're torturing me or something. Not to mention, I need to get back to hero work."
Izuku nodded. "Alright. Well, if you ever want to fight again, I'm more than happy to help," he said with a cocky smile.
Rumi grew a wicked smile as she looked at him. "Yeah and I'll kick your ass next time."
Once the two were done, Izuku gave the girl some clothes to wear since her hero outfit was pretty torn up.
Once she was gone, Izuku felt weird. His home felt empty now. He sat in his recliner, trying to think of what to do now, the boredom quickly growing.
Rumi walked out of the house, seeing a car sitting in front of the house. Two guys got out of the car, looking at her and talking to each other.
Once she reached the street, the two approached her. "You, we need to speak to you." Rumi stopped, looking at the two, just wanting to leave already. "You just came out of Midoriya's house. What is your relationship with him?"
Rumi shrugged. "Who the fuck is asking?"
The man speaking to her pulled out a badge, showing it to her. "Officer Yoshido of the Tatooin police."
Rumi just groaned. "Fine," she growled out. "Take me to your damn station or whatever." She got in the back of the vehicle and taken away from the house.
The drive wasn't long but it felt like an eternity to her. Before long, she was sitting in an interrogation room and a detective sat across from her. "So, who are you, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Rumi Usagiyama, pro hero Miruko."
The man nodded, writing in his notepad. "Truth. What happened while you were held prisoner by Midoriya?"
Rumi rolled her eyes. "I wasn't being held prisoner. He was letting me stay there while I was recovering from our fight. Even made me food."
The detective seemed confused at hearing her confession. "That's… the truth." He wrote down a lot on his notepad. "And he didn't threaten you or anything? No hints about anything that might make you feel like you need to stay against your will?"
Rumi shook her head. "No. He said from the beginning that I could leave at any time. Only thing is that he knew I wasn't gonna be able to make it home without rest, by myself. Though he did offer to take me home himself, I threw that back in his face."
Now the detective was stumped. "Truth…" he mumbled out as he went back to writing in his notepad. "Well… I think that's it. I don't have any other questions."
Rumi got up, walking to the door. Before she opened it, the detective asked something else.
"Is he as bad as everyone thinks?"
Rumi stopped, hand on the door handle, as she thought about her answer. He'd always been categorized as an extremely dangerous person who'd kill you without a second thought. But when she dealt with him, he wasn't like that at all. "He's… nice." She said, not sure how else to describe him. At least, not in public.
She walked out as the detective was left to take in the information he'd just gotten. He looked over his notes, seeing a pattern develop. Before he could come to any conclusions, he needed more information. And there was only one place he could go for that.
——
Rumi shut her door to her apartment, falling onto her couch. She'd had a strange few days. Hearing a ping from her phone she'd left on her coffee table, she picked it up, seeing a bunch of messages from her friends. Groaning to herself, she decided to call her closest friend.
The other side only rang for a second before they picked up, quickly yelling into her ear. "Rumi, where have you been?! Everyone's been worried!" Ryuko shouted.
Rumi didn't answer right away, deciding to nurse her ear from the sudden assault of noise. "I'm fine. Jeez."
"Rumi what happened?!" Ryuko asked, clearly not having much patience.
"Got into a fight with Midoriya, got my ass handed to me," she reluctantly said, not very happy at her lose. "After that, he took me back to his place and let me heal up."
Ryuko was silent for a second. Rumi was about to say her name when she heard a loud knock at her door.
Rumi got up and looked through he door's peep hole and saw the dragon hero standing outside her door, an angry, impatient look on her face. Rumi unlocked the door before her friend decided to make it no longer a door and opened it.
Ryuko walked in, bits of her dragonic half showing here and there. "That fucking asshole!" She shouted. "If I ever get my hands on him, I'm gonna tear him limb from limb!" Rumi knew that she wasn't kidding. She wasn't exaggerating. Ryuko was going to try and kill Izuku when she sees him.
"Ryuko, call down," Rumi says. "He didn't try anything. Plus, I'm fine. The fight was my fault anyways."
Ryuko looked at her friend. "What happened while you were there?"
Rumi groaned a bit, sitting back on her couch. Ryuko joined her as Rumi told her everything that happened. Ryuko listened carefully to her friend's words. As she listened to the recounting, her expression slowly softened.
Eventually, Ryuko looked at her friend with a slight smile. "So did you two do anything?"
Rumi blushed at hearing that. "N-no! Why would you even th-think that?!" She asked, looking at her friend incredulously.
Ryuko laughed at Rumi's reaction. "So you didn't do anything. But you wanted to."
Rumi covered her face with her hands, feeling her face heat up. "Ryuko…"
Ryuko, either not hearing the rabbit, or not caring, continued. "Are you gonna go on a date with him? What is he like? Is he cute? Oh how…"
Rumi was happy her friend didn't want to kill Izuku now but now she wanted Ryuko to kill her. 'Why me?'
——
Izuku walked into a bar, heading to a bar stool next to the wall. He gave the bartender a look and the man began making a drink. Sitting down, Izuku opened his hand, a glass landing in his grip, and took a long sip of it.
Many of the other villains in the bar kept their eyes on Izuku. He just looked at them all. "You guys got something to say? Or are you all too fucken scared?"
Many of them immediately looked away, a nervous sweat running down their faces. Only two people kept their eyes on him. Izuku pulled out a cigarette, lighting it up with a snap of his fingers. Taking another drink, he got up and walked towards the two. "You two want something?"
A muscle head stood up, standing over seven foot tall. He looked down at me with a cocky smirk. "And who the hell is this shrimp? Walking in here and acting like you own the place."
Izuku heard the bartender begin to talk but he raised his hand, stopping him. "Don't worry, Joha, I'll pay for anything I break." He just sighed.
Izuku looked back to the muscle head only for him to smash a chair into him, shards and splinters flying everywhere. Izuku began pulling bits of the chair out of his hair, flicking them away and taking another puff of his cigarette.
The guy's face dropped, a nervous sweat starting up. "Let me make one thing clear." Izuku grabbed the guy by the side of his head, bringing him down to his height. "I do own this place. And I don't take too kindly to people who don't take the time to learn." Izuku let him go as he fell to the ground, unconscious. His muscle began to deflate, turning him into a scrawny guy.
Izuku looked over at his friend. He looked down at his friend, eyes wide before looking at Izuku, meeting his eyes for a second. Almost immediately, he looked away, muttering out a sorry and returning to his drink.
Izuku picked up the unconscious idiot, taking him to the door and tossing him out. He grabbed his wallet and took out enough cash for a new chair before throwing the wallet back at the idiot. Izuku returned back to his seat, taking another sip of his drink. "Remind me to increase your pay, Joha. You make the best drinks."
The man just silently nodded, preparing another drink for Izuku. Izuku sighed, smoke escaping his mouth, before hearing the door to his bar open. A guy in a trench coat came in and walked towards Izuku.
"To what do I owe the pleasure…" Izuku looked the guy up and down. "Detective."
——
Rumi groaned. Ryuko had dragged her out of her house to go shopping. Rumi wanted to kick and whine, do anything she could to not do something she hates, but she had a soft spot for the dragon.
Ryuko was looking through racks upon racks of clothes, even looking at things from her own line, trying to find the perfect outfit for her friend.
Rumi was sitting on a bench, silently hoping Izuku didn't show up out of nowhere. She didn't even know why she was hoping that! She grumbled a torrent of nonsense to herself as she began frantically messing with her ears. She got up with a huff, walking past Ryuko. "Gonna get some carrots." She said.
"Yeah yeah. You do that," Ryuko said, not really seeming to have paid attention to her friend, more interested in finding an outfit.
Rumi walked through the mall, looking for where she could find the delicious orange sticks she was craving. Once she found them, she sat down at an empty table. She quickly munched down but felt slightly unsatisfied. Her mind trickled back to that soup Izuku made and she felt her mouth water.
Rumi slammed her head on the table. She groaned as someone sat at her table. "Alright I found the perfect outfit." Rumi immediately recognized the voice of her best friend. That didn't stop her from letting out another groan. "Oh cheer up, Rumi. I'm sure things will work out."
Rumi put her chin on the table as she glared at her friend. "And how is that gonna work? I have a fucking crush on a villain!" She shouted as quietly as she could.
Ryuko just smiled at Rumi. "Because of that detective you talked to."
Rumi felt like she was missing something. "What about him?"
"He's detective Tsukatshi. I've dealt with him on multiple occasions. He's the kind of officer who always fights for the truth. Trust me, he won't stop at your interview. He's probably looking for Midoriya right now to ask him a few things."
Rumi couldn't stop the blush that began to stretch across her face. But it quickly disappeared as a random guy walked up to them. Rumi's eyes darted to the guy, not seeming very impressed.
"So, which of you two babes wants to have the honor of going out with me?" He asked.
Rumi rolled here eyes, not bothering to pick her head up off the table. "Fuck off, asshole."
The guy's expression faltered for a second, growing angry before his smirk coming back. "Oh come on, I know you're just dying to get with me."
He began to reach out to touch Rumi. "You touch me, you die." Rumi didn't hesitate. Her red eyes glaring at the guy. When he didn't stop his approach, Rumi grabbed his hand, twisted it and slammed his head into the table.
She let him fall to the ground, blood leaking from his nose and mouth as a few teeth were missing.
Rumi didn't even look twice and walked away, Ryuko following after. Ryuko groaned at her friend's temper. "Did you have to do that?"
"Yes." was all Rumi said.
——
Izuku was sitting down next to detective Tsukauchi, taking a deep breath of his cigarette. "So, you wanna talk about Miruko… heh, sure. You need a drink or something? It's on me."
Tsukauchi shook his head. "No, that won't be necessary. Maybe if I was off duty."
Izuku shrugged his shoulders. "Suit yourself. So, what are your questions?" Izuku asked as he put his cigarette out in the ashtray in front of him.
"I'll get straight to the point. Why did you help Miruko?"
Izuku laughed to himself. "You know, I've kind of been wondering that myself. Honestly, I don't really know. She made one hell of an impression. I like her."
"So you helped her because you like her?"
"Kind of. That's not the full answer but it's the best I've got."
"And what were your intentions when you began to fight her?"
"Just see what the rookie has. And damn does she have fight." Izuku finished off the rest of his drink, signaling the bartender for another.
"Hm. And if she asked you to stop being a villain? Would you do it?"
That question made almost everyone in the bar stop. They waited for the answer Izuku would give. Joha put down the drink Izuku requested. Izuku picked it up and drank a bit before looking the detective in the eye. "Without a question."
"But why? You barely know her."
"Because. You don't always control who you fall in love with. People will find out about my feelings for her and me being a villain will only hinder and hurt her in the long run. But if I stop, I can focus my attention on those who would try to hurt her to get to me."
Tsukauchi was speechless. He knew Izuku was telling the truth. His quirk was evidence of that.
"You know the reason I became a villain?" Izuku asked. The detective shook his head. "It all started when my father killed my mother."
——
Rumi was back in her apartment, her bag of clothes sitting open in front of her. Ryuko told her to get dressed and she would go looking for Izuku. Rumi loved her friend like a sister, but like a sister, sometimes she tried too damn hard.
Her ears drooped around her head. "It's not like anything is ever gonna happen. Ugh… why did it have to be him? Of all people! Why him?!"
Ryuko had walked in, seeing her friend having her breakdown. It hurt her seeing Rumi like that. She walked over, sitting down next to her and pulled her into a hug.
As they were sitting there, Rumi's phone went off. The rabbit wanted to throw her phone through her wall but Ryuko grabbed it, answering. "Hello?"
"Ryukyu? Sorry I meant to call Miruko. I must have put in the wrong number."
"No, you didn't, Taukauchi. This is Rumi's phone. What did you need?" Ryuko listened to Tsukatshi explain and she slowly began to smile. After she had hung up, Ryuko looked at Rumi. "Get dressed."
Rumi grumbled to herself. She got up and began stripping off the clothes Izuku gave. It was only them that she realized she was still wearing them. She held the white shirt, pulling it up to her face and smelling it.
Ryuko smiled at her, making Rumi blush and toss the shirt away. She began to get dressed, just wanting to lay down on her bed and never wake up.
——
Izuku sat in the interrogation room, staring at the ceiling. 'Wonder what that bunny is doing right now…'
As he stared, the door opened to the interrogation room. Izuku expected the detective to be back for more questions or some other officer to do some thing or another. But instead, his eyes met with a very familiar pair of crimson eyes.
Izuku sat up in his chair as he saw her. "Miruko? What are you doing here? Already back for that rematch?" Izuku looked her up and down, letting his eyes travel her body. "Nice outfit, by the way. Looks good on you. Though, probably not the best for fighting."
Miruko stood in the doorway dressed in a white long sleeve crop top and light blue jeans with a belt. "Tch, no, asshole, I ain't here for a rematch." Rumi rolled her eyes as a light blush came to her face, thinking about how Izuku said he liked her outfit. "My friend picked this out for me."
"Well, your friend certainly knows what looks good on you." Rumi looked away, deciding to stare at the wall instead of Izuku's stupid face.
"Why the fuck are you even here?" Rumi asked as she crossed her arms.
Izuku just shrugged his shoulders. "Don't know. Don't care. Not gonna think about it." Rumi moved and sat down next to Izuku. "So, if I may steal your question, why the fuck are you here?"
Now, it was Rumi's turn to shrug. "Hell if I know. I was just told to come down here and was told to wait in this room."
The two sat in silence for a few seconds. Seconds that quickly felt like an eternity. Rumi would look over at Izuku. Izuku would meet her gaze, making the two look away from each other.
Rumi felt like she could hear Ryuko yelling at her to do something, coming from her head. As she was about to speak up, the door opened and a familiar detective came in, drinking some coffee and returning to a paper he was reading. "So… you're done being a villain?" The detective asked.
Rumi was confused. She was missing something. She looked at Izuku who nodded, saying he was, and back to the detective as he sat down at the table. "Someone wanna tell me what the fuck is happening?" Rumi asked.
"Ah, sorry. Izuku here has decided to forgo his villainous ways. And as a part of the deal, he won't be given a prison sentence as long as he keeps his end of the deal."
Izuku chuckled, waving his hand. "Don't worry, Tsukatshi. All for One's location and all of his secret labs are yours. But All Might isn't gonna be able to beat him alone. So if you'd let me, I'll kick his ass for you."
Rumi stared at the green haired guy. "Okay green bean, how the fuck are you gonna kick the ass of a villain All Might will have trouble with?"
"Cause, Bunny tail," Izuku could hear a growl of annoyance escape the hero, making him smirk. "I held back against you. I just wanted a fun fight and you sure gave me one. I mean, if I didn't, you wouldn't be sitting here, right now."
Rumi stood up in a huff. "Oh, you wanna fucking bet, dumbass! I'll kick your ass into the next god damn century when we get to our rematch!"
Izuku leaned back in his chair as he watched a rabid rabbit. "You know, your cute when you get angry."
Rumi felt her face begin heating up. "D-don't change the fucking subject!"
"Ahem." The two stopped, looking over at the detective. "If I may continue?" The two looked at each other and Rumi sat back down in a huff, crossing her arms. "Now, I'd need to bring this by Nezu to see what he thinks about you being a part of it. If it was up to me, I'd have no problem with it." Tsukatshi gave Izuku a knowing look.
Izuku sighed. "Fine. But just know I don't want something to happen to your friend."
Tsukatshi nodded. "Just sign this and everything will be official." He move a paper in front of Izuku with a paper. He looked over it, quickly reading everything that was written on it.
Rumi looked at it, curious on what Izuku was getting himself into. It mostly just seemed like normal stuff like not vomiting any crimes, having to forfeit anything gained from any crime committed in the past, then her eyes saw something that made her even more curious.
"No stealing quirks? The fuck does that mean?"
Izuku immediately began rubbing the back of his neck. "It relates to my quirk. And the biggest reason I got labeled as a villain. I can take away someone's quirk and keep it as my own."
Rumi looked at him, trying to figure out how exactly to form her question. "You didn't take away from innocent people… right?" She felt fear building up in her heart. Like small cracks began to form around it and it might just shatter if… he….
But it all began to fade at seeing him shake his head. "Nope. Mostly just villains. Or the occasional vigilante when it could cause more harm than good for them to keep it." Rumi wanted to ask how many he'd taken. But she didn't, figuring that he either wouldn't tell her or he didn't know.
Izuku quickly scrawled his name on the paper and moved it back over to the detective. He immediately felt something lift off his chest. He felt like he could ask a question he'd been wanting to ask.
He looked over at the hero sitting next to him. "Do you, uh… wanna go somewhere?"
Rumi heard the question ring in her ears. It was like it wasn't real. But she knew it was. He really asked her out. Summoning all of her courage, she finally answered. "Sure. Dumbass…" she mumbled out the last part, but smiled slightly, feeling her worries beginning to fall away. 'My dumbass.'
