Prologue: Sic Semper Tyrannis
OSSIR: THE TRIANGULUM GALAXY...
"In the end, it may all have been for nothing. Once, there was nothing. Nothing but total darkness and cold. No Warmth, no Light, no Life. But then; The Great Spirits of the Cosmos gave birth to all of Creation. Where once was Darkness, there now was Light. Where once was Cold, there was now Great Heat. And Millions of Years later; Life too came into existence. Our planet Ossir bears the honor of being the first planet to house life in the Universe. A great world which once was nothing but a ball of fire and brimstone, now, largely a desert world with the occasional exception of a few Oasis and Advanced Urban Cities here and there. And Advanced, they were. For this world is home of one of the oldest and wisest races in the entire known Universe; The Ossiriuns. Though we were once primitive and childish like all other races in the beginning of their existence, we eventually evolved to become the most intelligent and powerful race in the known Universe. Moreover, when we mastered the ability to travel to other worlds and visit other Life-Forms, our righteous race, united under one banner, made the noble choice to aid in the development of lower Alien Life-Forms, and allowed them to partake in the joy and freedoms our advanced technology provided for them. They enjoyed luxuries lower life forms would consider to only exist within the realm of Science-Fiction. No one under our Republic ever feared Starvation, Poverty, Disease, or even War, for they were protected by our Republic, which swore an Oath to ensure that the rights of all sentient beings were to never be infringed...But nothing lasts forever. Eventually, we were all forced to awaken from this idyllic dream. Four years ago, a small group of problematic Ossiriuns made their presence known to the Republic and it's allies. They believed that as Ossiriuns were objectively the greatest race in the known universe, all other races should be deemed as inferior life-forms, and threfore should not be given the same rights and privleges as Ossiriuns. At first, no one took these groups seriously. But as the months dragged on, they slowly but surely grew in number, gaining support from both civilians and military and police personnel alike. It all finally came to a head at the end of the year when our military leader General Sorren came to the conclusion that this dark ideology was indeed true in his mind, and that if he were to join this group, he along with his many allies in the military and civilian supporters would follow him, and he would become it's leader. Sorren always was hungry for power, so he took advantage of this opportunity and defected from the Republic in favor of these terrorists. The situation was horrible enough on it's own, but the salt in the wound for me personally, was that for most of my life, Sorren was my best friend. He always defended me from bullies when we were children, and he always seemed to geniunely care for me as well as my other friends, including the young woman who would go on to become my wife, and his former second in command. How a strong boy with such a desire to defend his friends from bullies could grow up to become the monster he grew to become boggles my mind and breaks my heart even to this day. We fought him and his army for the next three years, and although we put up fierce resistance and had the help of the other races in our galaxy who wished to keep their freedom, Sorren was a master tactitian and born leader. With him leading the Supremacists, we were defeated far more than we tasted Victory. Today is now 2238 of the seventh age, and we stand on the brink of total defeat. And I am afraid. For myself, for my wife, for my best friend, and for countless others. For if there's one thing I've learned over the past four years; it's that Sorren will not rest until he has conquered the entire known universe and killed or enslaved every being other than the Ossiriuns he deems worthy of Freedom. And yet, if I act quickly, I may still be able to save billions of lives..."-Doctor Oorm's Final Journal entry before his death.
"Were you all not listening to me?! Sorren's Forces march upon The Gold City as we speak! We stand no chance!", Doctor Oorm yelled to the Ossiriun High Council in the vain hopes of getting them to listen to him. His wife, Liuciya, stood beside him in support. "Listen to my husband! He has a contingency plan he wishes to share with you all!", she shouted. "Well then, what IS your plan, Doctor. How do we survive?" Chancellor Maanelle, the political leader of the Republic asked in a voice that feigned confidence but fooled no one.
"...We don't. Within 48 hours, everyone in this chamber will be dead." Panicked gasps and whispers flooded the chamber, but the frightened councilmen all knew Oorm was speaking the truth. Sorren was a ruthless monster, and he rarely took prisoners. And even on the rare occasions when he did, it was only to execute them later. They were all dead, and they knew it. "Well...well then wh-what is your plan? How can we stop Sorren if we will be dead?", Maanelle asked. Oorm answered after a short pause. He was reluctant to die as well. His wife too was not pleased about their circumstances as she shifted from to side-to-side and shook slightly. "While it is unfortunately too late to achieve victory for ourselves, there may yet be a way we can defeat Sorren and his army posthumously: Bio-Fusion."
"Wha-BIO-FUSION!?", Chancellor Maanelle practically yelled as more skeptical whispers pervaded the chamber. "Have you lost your mind?! Those pointless experiments of yours have NEVER ended well! You have attempted that four-hundred and sixty-eight times! EVERY time, the result would be either an abomination that was too physically deformed, or mentally insane beyond ANY hope of repair! At best, you will create another deformed child that will die soon after being born. At worst, you will create another insidious psychotic that will terrorize the Universe like Sorren intends to! It is NOT worth it!"Oorm looked around the chamber, and then back at Maanelle. "Yes, I know the odds of success are heavily against us, but even if we DO create another evil being, it will be of little consequence, because Sorren WILL kill all of us for being, "Traitors to the coming Empire", and THEN, he will go on to terrorize the entire known Universe with his army and his own power. If we do this, then the Universe could be doomed, it's true. But if we simply just sit here and allow Sorren to slaughter us, then the Universe is GUARENTEED to be tormented for all eternity."More whispers echoed throughout the chamber. "He speaks the truth.", one guard said to another. "I do not know about any of you," Oorm continued. "But I for one REFUSE to just die in vain knowing I did NOTHING to stop the universe from the suffering it will endure. We need to act, and we need to act NOW before"-
A vicious blast from a Plasma Cannon blowing the large, locked doors to the chamber open interrupted the good doctor and immediately drew all the eyes in the chamber towards the commotion. a few more blasts from smaller firearms killed the guards near the arch where the doors had previously been, and in strode the man himself, the one who was primarliy responsible for all of the chaos and brutality of this war: General Sorren."Oh! Oh no! Spirits preserve me, please! Don't hurt me!", Maanelle began begging. "You KNEW this was coming, woman!", Sorren's tough, commanding voice boomed throughout the chamber. With that, the General LUNGED at the weeping Chancellor from across the entire chamber, and cleaved her in half diagonally with his high-tech longsword, spilling the woman's blue blood all over her throne and covering the stairs leading up to the throne with her green organs. The chamber was now filled with screams and shouts from the councilors who were still alive as they now realized their own deaths would likely be not too far behind. "You always were a foolish coward, Maanelle. It is no wonder you and your bleeding heart, 'Soldiers' lost this war.", Sorren said to the corpse of the Chancellor. he then turned his vision to the rest of the chamber. "The rest of you will be punished in due time. I still have the other half of the city to conquer."
Although his wife merely stood near him paralyzed, Oorm confidently strode up to the evil General and former friend of his from a time long past. "Sorren, please! You MUST reconsider this! This is NOT right!" Despite the display of brutality he had just shown off, Sorren walked up to Oorm and placed a gentle hand on the Ossiriun Scientist. "It is YOU who must reconsider YOUR path, my old friend. With my Empire controlling the universe, we will bring order to the chaos that envelops ALL of the underdeveloped races in it! We can save them all from themselves, and all they have to do, is accept our rule as fact, and embrace their role as inferior beings. Is that really so wrong?" Oorm replied, "And what if they resist? What if they have more respect for themselves than to call themselves inferior? You would murder and enslave them. Torture them. I want no part in that, and no good man would." Sorren, despite his growing annoyance and frustration, remained determined. "Don't do this, Oorm. I can carry out my mission without you, but I would much rather do it with my friend since childhood at my side once again. Please. I don't want to lose another friend to this war."
"You should have thought of that before you started it. I was friends with a vastly different Sorren. One who was just as powerful as the one standing before me, but had exeptionally more respect for it, himself, and other being's lives." Oorm stared directly into Sorren's eyes, not at all caring that Sorren could painfully murder him.
"I do NOT see that Sorren anymore."
Sorren let out a heavy sigh. "...So be it." With that, he quickly threw a hard, low punch to the doctor's stomach, immediately flooring him. Oorm may have been a master at using his brain, but when it came to the capabilities of his body, he was no fighter. "No! Don't hurt him!", Liuciya begged in vain. Sorren simply turned his head in her direction and stared the woman down. "And who will stop me? These guards are all dead, their gutless leader with them. And you are of no use on the battlefield, woman." Liuciya just stood there, shaking with a mixture of fear and anger as her husband slowly stood up from the ground, groaning.
"Take them away. I have a war to end.", Sorren's voice boomed.
Sorren's guards kept their weapons trained on the doctor, his wife, and the remaining council members as they were marched towards the jail on the captured side of The Gold City. Their situation seemed rather hopeless when suddenly a number of Sorren's other soldiers interrupted their march and stood still in front of them. "What is the meaning of this? You should be out there aiding in our General's victory. Out of the way!", One of the council guards yelled. The new soldiers simply stood still and silent, refusing to comply.
"Do you have stones in your ears!? I said, MOVE OUT OF THE WA"-
In the next instant, Oorm and his fellow prisoners of war were amazed to see the new soldiers quickly gun down their guards before they even had a chance to raise their weapons and return fire, despite wearing the same colors. "What? What is"- To answer Liuciya's question before she could even finish asking, the soldier in front of the other soldiers removed his helmet and revealed his true identity. "...Argilim! You clever bastard! We are grateful, but I would've guessed you and your squad would be on the battlefield fighting to the last breath.", said Oorm.
Argilim, their muscular, close friend and high ranking officer in the war against Sorren, then explained, "That is a fair assumption. I may be a soldier and fighter to the core, as well as the men behind me, but even I know my limits. Sorren cannot be defeated by us. Especially at this point. He is far too powerful. But Oorm has explained to me his Bio-Fusion plan..." he said looking at Liuciya, who shot back at him a fairly surprised but reassured glance. "...Even if we are not the ones to have the pleasure of killing that bastard, I will do WHATEVER it takes to ensure his victory is not eternal, and so will the rest of these men." "A'OO! A'OO! A'OO! For the Republic!", The soldiers chanted as they proudly beat one fist into their chests.
They were to die this night. With Honor.
Oorm quickly explained to his wife, Argilim, the council members, and the soldiers what the final plan was. "Listen up! My Science Lab is on the other side of the city. It is currently under siege but the Lab is most likely unharmed for the time being. If we hurry, we can most likely reach it with just barely enough time for me to put my plan into motion. Regardless of however this night ends, we will all be dead. But if you will all follow me on this one last mission, perhaps we can ensure that Sorren's death won't be too far behind ours."
The Ossiriuns all looked at each other, courage filling their hearts, knowing it would most likely be the last time they all felt that proud again. " Liuciya, Councilmen, pick up those weapons. You're going to need them. Let's get to the Lab!"
Oorm, Liuciya, The Councilmen, Argilim, and his small but mighty squad of elite soldiers all bravely charged out of one of the smaller exits to the Council Palace and into the large, brutal battle that threatened to destroy much of The Gold City. Soldiers on both sides were shooting and slashing at each other, aeriel and ground vehicles fired devasting rounds at each other, and much of the cities buildings, both ancient and more recently constucted alike, were being severely damaged and in some cases even totally collapsing to the ground, taking the lives of both the unfortunate souls in them as well as the souls nearby. Although they all tried their best to avoid fighting and take the quickest route to the Lab, they were prepared to fight as they knew they would encounter resistance no matter what route they took. Despite having little to no combat training, Oorm, Liuciya, and the Councilmen refused to cower. They reasoned that if they were dead either way, they may as well embrace that fact and go out trying their best to fight back.
They quickly found cover. Although the full-body holographic grid shields they all adorned were good protection against small-arms plasma fire, they did not last forever and a single direct hit from anything larger than a missile launcher would immediately shatter the shield and kill them.
"Dammit, this isn't going to work!", Argilim shouted. "This way! Into the sewers! One of the tunnels will take us to the outskirts of the Lab! NOW!", Oorm commanded. As they made it inside, the horrid stench of urine, feces, and even blood almost immedietely assaulted their noses and mouths, but they stoically ignored the disgusting odor. "We cannot afford to let any kind of discomfort stop us at this point. We are the walking dead, but we still have one final goal.", Argilim said to the others in a quiet but determined tone.
On the way to the Lab, they occasionally encountered a few of Sorren's soldiers who had gotten separated and lost during the chaotic battle that raged above, but they were no match for Argilim and his squad.
Finally, they had reached the outside of The Lab Building, so it was time to resurface. All of the team let out a large breath of relief as they were at last free of the stench of that hellhole. Disgusting as it may have been, it was more than worth it to ensure they didn't get blown to pieces by enemy artillery on their way to accomplish their final mission.
"Oh, by The Spirits, you must be JOKING!", one of the councilmembers shouted as they all saw an insurmountable number of enemy Artillery, Heavy Vehicles, and Infantry all charging towards the Lab. This was it. Sorren and his Military had taken the rest of The Gold City and killed most of the resistance.
Once they had slaughtered all resistance inside the Lab, the war would at long last be over, and Sorren could finally complete his mission of turning the once heroic Ossiriun Republic into his very own insidious Ossiriun Empire, which would then go on to terrorize and enslave the entire known universe.
Unless they could successfully pull off this contingency plan.
"Argilim, NOW!", Oorm shouted. Understanding what he meant, Argilim ran directly in front of the entire opposing force, sheathed his weapons, and put his hands together on his left side, leaving a small space in between both hands. At first, this confused the enemy, but just seconds later, they caught on. "Oh! OH NO! EVERYONE PULL BACK NOW BEFOR"-
Then Argilim pushed foward, and a massive shockwave generated seemingly out of thin air blasted all his opposition away. He then fell forward to the ground, exhausted. Sorren simply watched from afar, in a skyscraper captured by his forces. "Good, tire yourself out. That is what I wished for.", he said to himself. Argilim stood a better chance than most at defeating Sorren in combat, but not as much so if he were extremely exhausted from a major telekinetic exertion. Sorren didn't mind sacrificing some of his men to achieve that end, though he was somewhat upset at the loss of the artillery and vehicles. They were expensive.
His team ran up to him. "Argilim! Are you alright?", Liuciya asked the now tired soldier. "...Yes. Alright enough to see the rest of this through, at least." He responded in a gruff voice.
Oorm, his team, and the remaining Republic Soldiers surrounding The Laboratory Building all regrouped. Oorm then explained what the plan would be from there. "Listen! That won't hold them back for long. Me, Argilim, and my Wife will be inside the Bio-Lab to create my contingency plan. We need ALL of you remaining soldiers as well as you remaining civilians to hold back Sorren and his men in order for us to even stand a CHANCE at making this work!" Some of the civilians and councilmen started to protest. "You are utterly insane! We know you intend to attempt to utilize Bio-Fusion to create some hybrid of our DNA and an alien on another world far from here in the hopes that MAYBE it will be strong and smart enough to defeat Sorren once he reaches its doorstep. IT WILL NOT WORK! The odds of success are almost non-existant! IT. IS. FOLLY! We should all just surrender now! Sorren just might spare us. Better in chains than in a coffin!"
Oorm stood his ground. "Yes, it most likely will be, but what if it isn't? What if this...Being we create, can and WILL choose to stop Sorren? We could save the entire UNIVERSE with this plan! Billions upon Billions of innocent lives on countless planets will be spared the torment and death we've had to endure! They do NOT deserve the pain that Sorren will cause them. It does NOT matter whether or not WE are alive to witness his end!"
Oorms brief speech proved to be successful, for cheers had errupted from the same men and women who were so determined to surrender merely seconds beforehand. Oorm continued, "Outstanding!...I am sorry I was not smart enough to properly aid in the defeat of Sorren during the war. I am partially responsible for your deaths as well as the deaths of many others who were undeserving, but perhaps you have all just granted me a chance to redeem myself."
With that, Oorm, Liuciya, and Argilim all raced inside of the Lab, and the few, but brave souls of the remaining Ossiriun Republic's Soldiers and Civilians stood their ground outside the Lab and did the hardest thing they ever had to do with their lives.
Prepare for them to end.
The three Ossiriuns had finally made it to the Bio-Lab. The Bio-Fusion project was one of the most infamous moments in the history of Ossiriun Science. The idea behind it, was that they would take some of the DNA from a maximum of three Ossiriuns and put it into the bloodstream of a male from another race. What would happen after that was that the male host would procreate with a female of the same race, and the result would be a child who possessed traits of both races. But even after hundreds of attempts, they found no true success. Not even close. Every child of every combination was either too physically deformed to live, or mentally insane beyond any hope of a cure. After the four hundred and sixty-eighth failure, the Ossiriun Government deemed it no longer worth pursuing, and killed the program.
"This most likely will not succeed, you know.", Liuciya told her husband as she obeyed his request to draw some blood for the DNA Synthesis. "I know," Oorm responded while drawing some of his own. "Which is why I have an alternative method planned for this." "Which is?", Argilim asked, drawing a small amount of his own blood. "Once it has reached the planet I have ordered it to travel to, I have ordered the DNA Drone to seek out a female to inject the Serum into instead of a male. Perhaps then maybe we shall find more success."
The other two gave him an intrigued, but also a somewhat concerned look. "I suppose that could increase the odds of success.", said Liuciya. "Yes, or it could make them even worse.", said Argilim. "...It's desperate. I'm trying my best not to think about our odds." said Oorm. Liuciya then began, "You know, even if this DOES work, we will not be alive to witness it. We will never know whether or not it worked." "Indeed, we will not. But even so, it is worth the attempt. The universe isn't going to disappear just because we will, will it?" said Oorm.
He then continued, "And I stand by what I said back in that chamber, if we do this, it is highly possible that we will only further the Universe's Annihilation by giving it another powerful monster, but if we do not act altogether, then Sorren will face no strong opposition whatsoever, and billions upon billions of worlds WILL suffer. Most likely until time itself ceases to exist. I will NOT let that happen. And I know the both of you well enough to know that you will not either." They both slowly nodded at him in agreement.
"So, what is the planet you have in mind?", Argilim asked. Oorm responded, "Well, last week my deep space scout drones have found one planet in a distant galaxy that appears to be very promising. The race living on it refers to their home planet as, 'Earth.' They are a very young species, at only two hundred-thousand years of age. They have SOME technological achievements, but as you likely would expect, they are still eons away from being on our level. Or, should we find success in our current mission, perhaps only two decades." The two listeners gave intrigued looks.
He then continued, "From what little information I have gathered, they are a rather divided race. This sort of thing is to be expected from a race that is practically children compared to us, but nonetheless, I was quite disappointed to see that although some groups are larger than others, they are FAR from united under one banner like our race was for millenia.
"So, which of these groups are we sending the DNA Drone to?", Argilim asked with a slight hint of nervousness. "I have ultimately decided that it is to find it's host in the land they refer to as, 'The United States of America', because I believe that this was overall the best choice. Do not misunderstand, this group has had quite a violent history, and they have commited quite a few atrocities in their brief existence of just a few hundred years, but in spite of all of that, I have also seen acts of Heroism, Selflessness, Honor, Justice, a dedication to preserving Freedom for many, and perhaps most important of all: Sacrifice in the name of all these noble qualities. Many of it's soldiers have chosen to remain true to these qualities even as their governments forced them to fight disonorable wars. Not to mention, essentially all of the other large countries had far worse histories."
"I know this race is young, but they sound rather Malevolent. Are you certain this is the right choice, my love?", Liuciya asked. Oorm looked his lover straight in her eyes, and replied:
"...No. But I'm willing to take this gamble. These Humans, despite their many flaws, have Hope. And if all goes well, perhaps this child of two worlds can fully realize that Hope."
"Sorren will not obtain any data of this, 'Earth', will he?", Liuciya asked. "Of course not, my beloved. Provided the experiment IS successful, and a perfect hybrid is born, we will want to give them as much time as possible to grow so that they can be as smart and strong as possible when Sorren's Forces inevitably reach Earth. The only knowledge of Earth, and it's people, are stored within the Scout Drones, which have already self-destructed, and this capsule beside us, which is yet another reason why we must hope we are successful in our goal."
After the DNA Fusion process combined the three Ossiriuns DNA into one Serum, Oorm then explained to the other two what would happen next. "Listen, I have no doubt in my mind that the group outside of the Lab are defending us with all their hearts, but the hard truth is that Sorren and his men will eventually destroy them. This DNA Drone will launch through the roof, and off into the Stars, but it will take time. The three of us must do all we can to ensure that the Drone is not destroyed before it can escape Ossir."
"Oorm! We cannot even defeat Sorren alone, let alone him along WITH his men!", Liuciya yelled. "We don't have to beat them, just fight them off long enough to complete our final mission.", Oorm responded. Argilim immediately accepted his fate with a quick nod. If this was to be his end, then he would use every last ounce of strength left in his war-ravaged body ensuring that Sorren wouldn't get the last laugh. Liuciya nodded back to husband more slowly.
Oorm took a longing look at the two most beloved individuals in his life. The woman he loved, truly and unconditionally, and the strong, honorable man he was proud to think of as the brother he never had. Despite his seemingly stoic additute in the face of their awful fate, he was truly in agony over the fact that he wouldn't get to spend any more time with them. He had to say something to them. One final time.
"...Listen, you both mean the Universe to me. I'm sorry couldn't protect"-
The doors to the Bio-Fusion Chamber blasted open, and in walked Sorren, seemingly not at all fatigued from the long battle that had taken place over the last seven hours. All Ossiriuns posessed incredible energy levels, but Sorren was on a whole new level of powerful. Four of his men and two of the Councilmen followed closely behind him. They had surrendered, of course. If there was even the slightest hope they could live. Oorm and his two allies were shocked at the sudden explosion, but they quickly regained hold of themselves and prepared to fight. Most likely for the last time.
Sorren, on the other hand, looked fairly relaxed, and almost even a little impressed. "The literal thousands of enemies I've managed to slaughter with almost no effort to get here, and yet you three still think you stand a chance." The General, soon-to-be Emperor then slowly applauded the three in a sarcastic, condesending manner. "Though I cannot say that I am surprised, you three always were all about fighting to the end even when it made no sense to. Admirable, but in this case, horribly mistaken." It was then when he noticed what was behind his three remaining foes, and coupled with the fact that they were in the Bio-Lab, it suddenly hit Sorren what they really had planned.
"...What have you done!?", Sorren barked. "I don't think that's any of your buisness, Scum!", Argilim yelled. Sorren laughed in response.
"Okay, old friend. I will play."
Sorren immediately turned to his soldiers. "Stay out of this, and keep the Councilmen subdued. These three traitors are mine!"
Sorren unleashed his longsword. It would've been more efficient to simply use the built-in powers in his advanced armored suit to blast his enemies into oblivion like he did to many adversaries over the course of the war, but that would risk too much damage to the Bio-Lab he intended for use by his own forces and even to himself in this relatively confined space. Besides, these particular two were traitors both to the coming Empire and to him personally. Therefore, it was ideal to vanquish them up close and personally. "I will cleave you both in half just as I did to that pathetic excuse for a leader back in the Council Chamber!", he thought.
Liuciya backed out of the way, she had no skills as a combatant. She would've been no help, and she knew it. Argilim drew a second blade and quickly threw it to Oorm. Oorm had only a minor amount of training with blades, but the goal was not to beat Sorren, just to ward him off long enough for the DNA Drone to launch. They only needed fifty-eight seconds, but even in that short amount of time, Sorren was a very difficult opponent to fight without getting your head cleaved off of your shoulders in five. These three had been play-fighting one another for most of their childhood, combined with the photographic memory all Ossiriuns proudly possessed, Sorren knew all their tricks. But Argilim and Oorm knew his as well. Argilim and Oorm quickly exchanged glances before charging at Sorren, non-verbally agreeing on the strategy of Argilim pulling most of the slack while Oorm occasionally charged at Sorren while he was occupied with Argilim.
At first, the Soldier and the Doctor both attacked the manaical fallen hero simultainiously, but Sorren was lightning fast, and deflected their blows with ease. Oorm was particularly not much of a sweat to defend against due to the considerable gap in training and fitness between the Doctor and General. Sorren then used Telekinesis to throw Argilim into the wall behind him with enough force to temporarily stun him, leaving Oorm briefly alone to duel his much more powerful foe alone.
Sorren cancelled a charge at Oorm, causing Oorm to flinch. Sorren grinned. "You can't defeat me, Oorm." Oorm then charged at Sorren, only for his poor skill with a blade to show as Sorren caught the blade in mid-swing with his armored hand. After two seconds of non-verbal gloating, Sorren used his incredible strength (through a combination of the high-tech battle suit's strength-enhancing capabilities as well as his own unusually gifted natural strength) to shatter the sword with his grip alone. This act did little damage to his own suit; he had the most advanced armor Ossiriun craftsmanship could craft. He WAS to be the future ruler of the Galaxy, (and eventually, the Universe) after all. Sorren then threw a knee to Oorm's stomach, causing him to groan and fall to the floor. Sorren's soldiers laughed at the Doctor's weakness.
Sorren then went for the killing blow, only for his blade to clash against another blade. Argilim had recovered from his wall-slam, and was just as ready to fight now as he had been at the beginning of the showdown. "Look at what you're doing, Sorren! You of ALL people should know not to attack those whom you know lack the strength you possess! What happened to you?! What happened to our, to MY friend?!", Argilim yelled. Before the traitorous General could answer, a robotic voice called out, "Launch."
And with that, the small spacecraft blasted off through the opening on the roof of the Lab, and once clear of the Lab, violently blasted out much more force and rapidly picked up speed to escape Ossir's Atmosphere.
"No!", Sorren yelled. his anger severely amplified, Sorren broke through Argilim's block, and stabbed him through the heart. All four Ossiriuns looked stunned by the action, even Sorren himself. After pulling the sword out of Argilim's chest, the honorable warrior looked his enemy in the eye, and said, "You betray yourself to a far greater extent than you betray any of us." With that, Argilim fell backwards to the floor of the Bio-Lab. "No...", Liuciya weeped. Oorm closed his eyes and shook his head slowly. "As fearless in death, as he was in life. Three times the man you ever were." Sorren scoffed. "Is that so? We'll see if you can still talk big when I execute you and your beloved wife in public for all to see. You will serve as a permanent warning as to what will happen to those who defy me." Oorm and Liuciya locked their fingers together. The soon-to-be Emperor Sorren continued; "As for your little, 'Experiment' you've just launched into the black of space, it is of little consequence. You and I both know that it likely will result in nothing more than a deformed abomination likely to die soon after being born. It's quite funny, really; your goal with the Bio-Fusion Projects was to create a powerful being who could threaten entire armies, but even after all your attempts, the being that will be born from that drone will barely be competent enough to harm a fly, much less myself. I Congratulate you." With that, Sorren applauded Oorm sarcastically, causing his nearby soldiers to laugh and Oorm to blush as he knew the odds weren't in his favor. Sorren then pointed his sword at the Doctor and his wife, and barked to his men; "Take them to the Gold City's Arena. Their executions are to be very public and painful."
Oorm and Liuciya weren't able to hide their shame as they were stripped completely nude for the massive crowd of Sorren's Military Personnel and the Citizens of the Gold City to see their bodies. Upon seeing his last article of clothing removed, Sorren's soldiers errupted with loud laughter and pointed at him, shouting harsh things about his genetalia. Upon having her beautiful dress ripped from her body along with her undergarments, the soldiers, along with even quite a few citizens, began to whistle and cheer and shout about all the fun they would've liked to have had with her nude body. Even this advanced race was not immune to Sadism and Animalistic Desires.
Sorren himself strode into the Arena, prompting loud cheers from all his soldiers and most of the civilian population. Even though some of the civilian's cheers were not genuine, they were smart enough to know how to avoid the fates of the two poor souls in the center of the Arena. "Thank you! Thank you all!", his voice boomed loud enough for the entire Arena to hear. "Today is a good day, for today is the beginning of a new era, a BETTER era! Today marks the beginning of the era where Ossiriuns PROPERLY handled the Universe! We will no longer tolerate the degenerate and offensive idea that all races were created equal!"
Oorm and Liuciya stood quaking, somewhat grateful that the attention was taken off of their humiliating and degrading position, though they knew it was only temporarily. Sorren continued, "The Great Spirits who created Existence itself did NOT give our great race the honor of being the first race to be given life, NOR our quickly evolving intelligence just so we could squander our potential. We were given a greater purpose: To be the dominant species in the Universe. WE ARE THE FUTURE OF THE GALAXY! WE ARE THE FUTURE OF THE UNIVERSE!" The crowd cheered once again.
Sorren then began, "But...before we can begin, we must contend with two large figures who opposed this Spirit-Given mission of ours for years." Sorren then pointed to the two nude figures who stood behind him. "THESE TWO TRAITORS TO THE EMPIRE! They believed that they could stop us from accomplishing our goal. They believed they could go against the wishes of The Spirits themselves! NOW THEY WILL KNOW THE TRUE PRICE FOR THEIR FOOLISHNESS!"
Oorm and Liuciya felt their faces redden and their hearts sink further down into the depths of their stomachs as the very large crowd booed and mocked them.
Sorren then strode up to Oorm, who was now somewhat shorter since he had been stripped. Oorm tried his best to show a confident face, but his quivering lip and eyes soon to leak tears betrayed him. Sorren then said, "Oh, I know. I know why you always cowered in your lab while Argilim and his men fought on the battlefield." Sorren got closer until he was inches away from Oorm's face.
"It is because you have no balls."
With that, Sorren quickly grabbed hold of Oorm's exposed genitals, and without hesistation, squeezed them to the point of explosion, causing a mixture of blue and green fluids to escape from Sorren's hand and Oorm to squeal like a pig and collapse to the ground. The pain was unbearable. The crowd laughed and cheered.
All thoughts of her own embarrassment fled from her brain as Liuciya began to cry. "NO! You BASTARD! How could you?!" "Ooooooo...", a large portion of the crowd began to shout. Sorren just turned to the naked woman and laughed. He then strode up to her. "I WAS originally going to execute you both, but...I have a secondary proposition to make; You initiate coitus right here and now for all to see, and proclaim that it should've been ME you married long ago as my potent seed drips from"- a vicious spit from Liuciya coating Sorren's face cut him off. In response, Sorren merely licked the woman's saliva as it touched his lips. "You always were quite beautiful, it is such a shame I have to put you down. For your insolence, I should let my whole army ravage you until you are crippled for the rest of your centuries, but I am not unkind." With that, Sorren turned back towards his audience. "Well, I can't say I did not try to be reasonable.", he said, flashing a hideous grin.
With that, Sorren lunged back towards Liuciya, grabbed both of her arms, and broke them, causing her to screech in agony. "N-no...", Oorm groaned out from the ground. "Oh, I'm sorry. Perhaps maybe THIS will help ease the pain!", Sorren shouted. With that, he hoisted her back up off of the ground and began to furiously jam his fingers in and out of the woman's vagina, caring not at all how much it hurt and humiliated her.
After a few minutes of this, he finally pulled his finger back out and threw her back to the ground next to her husband. The two freedom fighters looked at each other with love in a vain attempt to comfort each other. "This truly is the end. Oh, no no no...", They both thought. They reached out to grab each others hands...
Only for a boot to come down hard enough to shatter the bones in both their hands. The crowd cheered yet again. Sorren then turned back towards the crowd.
"A PROLONGED AND PAINFUL DEATH IS WHAT AWAITS THOSE WHO CHALLENGE MY EMPIRE!"
Sunrise wouldn't be for another five hours. Their pain was only just beginning. The war was finally over, and they had been uttely crushed. Oorm slowly turned his head back towards the starry night sky, thinking back to the last Bio-Fusion attempt. In the end, he managed to take some comfort in knowing that his Ace-in-the-Hole plan was successfully set in motion, and that a perfect hybrid between two-races was going to be born, and one with a heart at that. Whether or not he was successful in his mission was a mystery he would unfortunately never know the answer to.
A single tear escaped his eye. "...Good luck, child of two worlds. The fate of a billion-billion now rests along your shoulders..."
