Diluc shifted his weight from one foot to another before he seemed to have gotten tired of the silence that had once again fallen between the two. He looked at Kaeya again. "I have a bedroom set up for you.." he said "Even though you've never lived here" he said. He was quiet for a moment before he began speaking again "When I started living at the winery, I set it up for you. Would you like to see it?" Kaeya seemed a bit surprised but gave a nod "Yeah, I'd like to see it"

Even despite the fight he and Kaeya had, Diluc still kept a room for his brother in hopes that one day they would make up with one another. This finally seemed to be that day. The older male led Kaeya upstairs to where the bedroom was. Once in front of the door, he pushed it open to let Kaeya walk inside. The bedroom was decorated similar to the way Kaeya had his bedroom back at the manor when he and Diluc were growing up. Kaeya's gaze traveled to the bed, seeing a stuffed horse that Kaeya recognized from when he was a kid.

"It's not much, but I wanted to make you feel at home if you would ever need somewhere to stay.." Diluc trailed off, not sure entirely how to word what he wanted to say. But, in a way, he wasn't lying. Kaeya turned to look at Diluc "I appreciate it" he said. He soon smiled at Diluc, it was typically rare these days to see a genuine smile on Kaeya's face. Seeing the smile on the other's face, Diluc couldn't help but smile a bit as well. "Well, I assume you like it?" he said, wanting to know if Kaeya really did like the way the room was decorated.

Kaeya gave a nod in response, but he had turned his attention back to the stuffed horse that sat on the bed "I'm guessing you were holding on to this?" he asked. He could only assume that was the case since the plush was here rather than.. Wherever he lived. He frowned a bit, why did he expect himself to remember where he lived? Diluc's voice soon interrupted Kaeya's thoughts "Yes, you.. um.." Diluc cleared his throat, trying to think of an excuse without telling Kaeya that Diluc tried killing him and had forced Kaeya to move out.

"Lost him during the move when you went to your apartment in Mondstadt.. I found it recently in storage so I put it on the bed" Diluc said. He sighed in relief when Kaeya seemed to believe the excuse. "I see" Kaeya said "That makes sense" He then turned his attention away from the stuffed horse. "Is the room okay? I hoped to get it similar to your room back in the manor but I wasn't sure" he said. "Yeah, I like it" he said "It is similar to the one I had in the manor" he added

Diluc let out another sigh of relief "I'm glad you like it then, part of me thought you wouldn't" he said as he pat Kaeya's shoulder a little bit. Kaeya seemed a bit confused. "I'm not sure why I wouldn't like it" he said "But I can assure you that I do like it" he said, smiling again. "That's good then, Kaeya" he smiled back a little bit.

Part of Diluc wondered if Kaeya would ever regain his memories- would he? How would they even go about doing so..? Kaeya himself wasn't even sure if he was going to get his memories back, but it wasn't exactly a priority for the younger male.

Diluc huffed softly, but then the two brothers heard Adelinde calling them for dinner. Diluc looked at Kaeya "Are you ready for dinner?" he asked. The bluenette gave a nod in response "Yeah" he said. He took notice of the small smile that was on Diluc's face, and he smiled in return.

Diluc gave a nod before gesturing for the other to follow as Diluc made his way downstairs and to the dining table. Once at the table, he sat down. Kaeya joined Diluc at the table soon after

While the decor of the Dawn Winery seemed to fit a dark mahogany and red theme, there was one ornamental piece that stuck out like a sore thumb, as if it were there by accident- a colorful vase that sat on a podium near one of the pillars. Kaeya, as he looked around, saw the vase, though he didn't seem to recognize it. Kaeya was a bit confused by the vase because of how much it stood out. Diluc soon took notice of Kaeya looking around, but ended up not saying anything since he understood that the winery had changed since Kaeya was seventeen. Kaeya didn't seem to notice Diluc looking at him since the bluenette was still taking note of the things that were different since he last remembered being in the winery.

Diluc was about to speak to Kaeya, but was interrupted when Adelinde brought in their food; roasted pork, gravy, and steamed vegetables that had been picked earlier that day. "Thank you, Adelinde," Diluc said. Kaeya's attention now seemed to be on the food rather than his surroundings as he, too, thanked Adelinde

Diluc ate slowly, but cleared his throat after a while "Are you feeling a bit more settled now?" he asked "I'm not sure what you like nowadays but, I remember that you used to read a lot" he said. Kaeya nodded in response as Diluc continued to speak, "You can read any of the books in your room as well as any on the shelves you find here in the winery," Diluc said. "Alright, I'll keep that in mind," Kaeya replied.

Eventually, the two finish their food after very little conversation between them. "I hope the food was to your liking" Diluc said, speaking first "It was" the younger male said. But then, Diluc changed the subject "I've just noticed, your hair seems longer recently" he said. Kaeya looked slightly confused "Does it?" he asked as he reached up to seemingly fix the hair near his face, but he soon paused once his hand was near his face. Diluc looked confused by Kaeya's actions, but then frowned suddenly. But, Diluc didn't want to say anything in case he was wrong about what Kaeya was thinking. He did, though, want to make sure Kaeya was okay so after a few moments of silence, the red head said "Kaeya, are you okay?"

Kaeya glanced towards Diluc "Yeah, I'm fine" he replied "It's just.." he faltered. When he went to touch his hair, he felt something where there should be one of his eyes. Going pale, Diluc's fears seemed to have been confirmed. Kaeya had noticed his eyepatch "Just..? What?" Diluc then said with a frown. Kaeya had in fact, noticed his eyepatch. How hadn't he realized he was wearing an eyepatch? Kaeya didn't answer Diluc's question, instead he said "How long have I been wearing an eyepatch?" he asked. Kaeya never remembered wearing an eyepatch, but maybe it was just another thing he had forgotten.

Diluc glanced away from Kaeya "Four years.. You started wearing it roughly around the time that father died.." he couldn't bring himself to lie, but he also couldn't tell Kaeya the truth. But Kaeya just nodded a bit "I see" For the time being, he didn't ask why he had started wearing it. Diluc nodded, sighing softly "Alright then, would you like to do anything else or see anything more before bed? I've had a busy week so I'll likely go to sleep early" he said. Kaeya just shook his head "Not that I can think of" he said. Kaeya also decided that he might go to bed a bit early as well. It had been a long day for him. For them both.

Diluc stood from his seat, informing Adelinde that they were done eating and thanking her again. "Alright then" Diluc said "There are night clothes for you in the top drawer" he said as Kaeya soon stood up as well. Kaeya gave a nod in understanding. The two of them began walking upstairs. Diluc pulled his long, red hair from the low ponytail he was wearing it in. Yawning as he walked, both the work and stress from that week getting to him.

"Do you remember what room is yours?" Diluc asked. "Yes, I remember," Kaeya replied "My memory isn't that bad" he said. Despite having lost part of his memories, he was referring to the fact that he wasn't forgetting what was happening currently. Diluc let out a soft chuckle at Kaeya's reminder and gave a small nod. "Mhm. Okay then, I'll see you tomorrow" he said. Kaeya said goodnight to Diluc. Diluc yawned again as he walked off to the master bedroom and closed the door after himself. Meanwhile, Kaeya walked into his own room, closing the door, and went to get the night clothes that Diluc had mentioned.

Diluc sighed as he climbed into bed, pulling the covers up. He glanced at the snuffed out candle on his bedside table before managing to fall asleep. However, it was far from restful considering the nightmares he was having. The whole memory loss situation with Kaeya must have triggered something in Diluc's mind, since the whole night, he was dreaming about how he had fought Kaeya and caused the younger male to now possess a vision he wasn't even sure he realized he had. It all felt wrong, and Diluc felt horrible.
