By the time Diluc made it to the winery, Kaeya had already gone inside. When he walked inside, he looked around a little bit for his brother, but he didn't seem to be on the first floor. "He must've gone up to his room" Diluc thought. So, for now, Diluc decided to leave his brother alone. But he knew he would have to apologize to Kaeya at some point. Diluc soon decided to go to his study to work on some paperwork that needed done even though he had said he would take a few days off to help Kaeya.

Kaeya was, in fact, in his room. As soon as the bluenette had gotten to the winery he had run up the stairs to the room that Diluc was letting him stay in. He was sitting with his back against the closed door. He was aware that Diluc was at the Winery as well, but he didn't move an inch. Kaeya had definitely reacted in an almost childish way, but mentally he was seventeen so his reaction was to be expected.

Diluc ended up staying in his study for hours working on paperwork, it was mainly stuff relating to the winery. And next thing he knew it was dark out and he wasn't even sure what time it was but it was definitely quite late. The red head got up from his desk and stretched before he started to leave the room to head it his bedroom. He supposed he'd have to wait to talk with Kaeya until the morning as he was most likely asleep.

Though that thought was soon interrupted as when he walked past Kaeya's room he could hear crying coming from the other side. He planned to just leave Kaeya alone but now he was worried. He sighed as he gently knocked on the door, trying not to be too loud.

"Kaeya? It's me, Diluc. Can.." he paused for a moment "Can I come in?" He asked. He waited outside the door for an answer, which soon came "..yes" Diluc breathed a sigh of relief when Kaeya agreed even despite their fight earlier. He hoped Kaeya wasn't forgetting recent events now. But he pushed those worries aside as he opened the door and walked into the room.

Kaeya looked up at Diluc, his eyepatch off. He had been crying. Did he have a nightmare? Diluc remembered that he used to have them often when the two were kids but they slowly went away as Kaeya got older. Diluc hesitantly walked over to the bed and sat next to his brother, only to immediately be pulled into a hug by the younger male.

Neither spoke, and Diluc just tried to comfort Kaeya as best he could while he was crying. Even if he wanted to speak, he wasn't sure what he would say. He wasn't the best at comforting people but he was trying nonetheless.

They stayed like that for quite a while as at some point, the two had ended up falling asleep, still in Kaeya's bed. Once morning came, they remained asleep even as Adelinde cracked open the door to check on Kaeya but saw the two brothers asleep, very similar to when they were kids. Growing up, the two had separate rooms, but tended to go to the other's room at some point during the night, which seemed to be the case here.

Seeing the two brothers, of course Adelinde was reminded of when the two were kids. She smiled a little bit before closing the door again. She hadn't even needed to check on Kaeya as it seemed Diluc had beaten her to it. She walked off after a few moments. As she walked off, she thought back to when Diluc and Kaeya were kids, most of the time Diluc was found in Kaeya's room rather than the other way around. Though the reason was usually because Kaeya was sick.

A young Diluc opened the door to his brother's room as quietly as he possibly could and slipped inside the room before shutting the door again. He walked over to the other boy's bed "Kaeya.. are you awake?" He whispered, standing near the bed a little bit as he waited for an answer from the younger boy, who made a small sound as he opened his eyes "..Luc?" He asked, still half asleep.

Kaeya had been in his room most of that day when he had woken up not feeling well, and Crepus had told Diluc to leave Kaeya alone since he could get sick too, but now that everyone was asleep, Diluc went to see Kaeya. Even if it meant waking the other boy up. Diluc sat on Kaeya's bed once the bluenette moved over a little bit. "Do you feel any better?" Diluc asked, still whispering. Kaeya gave a small nod in response even though the room was dark "I think so" he mumbled

The two had ended up talking for a little bit longer before they had both fallen asleep. Of course the following day Crepus had found out about Diluc sneaking into Kaeya's room, but it had happened so many times, punishment wouldn't really do anything. Besides, he was just a kid.
