After Albedo and Klee left the Dawn Winery, Kaeya sat down to relax at the request of Diluc. He felt.. he wasn't sure how he felt, exactly. He knew he felt bad because he had been the cause of Klee's distress from before but there was more to it than just feeling bad. His thoughts got interrupted when he heard Diluc start to speak to him, but he stopped the red head mid sentence "Who were they?" Kaeya asked "Albedo and.. Klee?" He sounded a little unsure when saying Klee's name.

Diluc was a little surprised when he was interrupted by the other but he didn't seem angry, not after what had just happened not to long before. He had expected Kaeya to be confused "Albedo's a close friend of yours" Diluc said, though sounding slightly unsure himself. He didn't speak to Albedo often and up until recently, he didn't have the best relationship with Kaeya so it's only what he could assume from seeing the two together on occasion, that they were close friends.

"And Klee?" Kaeya asked. Diluc paused to think a little bit "She's Albedo's little sister, or at least I believe she is. And from what I know, she sees you as an older brother" Kaeya's face fell when he heard this. He didn't remember the girl that supposedly saw him as an older brother. He felt horrible. No wonder Klee was so upset and insistent that Kaeya was just joking. "I have to apologize to her" the bluenette said, he didn't seem to be speaking to anyone in particular.

The shift in Kaeya's expression didn't go unnoticed by Diluc "You'll have the chance to" the red head said, trying to reassure his brother. Klee was sure to forgive Kaeya once he apologized. Despite the reassurance Kaeya felt as if there was a lump in his throat, making it so he felt that he couldn't speak, and the tight feeling in his chest didn't help either. So, he just gave a small nod in response, even if he wasn't at fault for losing his memory, he felt guilty. It wasn't as if he intentionally let the debris from a windmill fall on him, so why did he feel so guilty? He ended up getting so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even notice when tears began to fall down his cheeks.

Diluc had looked away from Kaeya for a few moments, only to look back and see his brother crying. It wasn't often that he saw Kaeya cry, not anymore at least. He could remember countless times that Kaeya had cried when they were kids, but he couldn't remember a single time he had cried once they got older. He went closer to his brother and tried to get him to snap out of his thoughts.

By the third time Diluc had said the other's name, Kaeya looked at him. "Kaeya.. you're crying" was all he could think of to say. The bluenette seemed confused for a moment before realizing, he began to wipe at his tears, apologizing to Diluc and saying other things that Diluc couldn't quite make out. Either way Diluc seemed to accept the apologies even if there really wasn't anything to be sorry for.

It took some time for Kaeya to calm down. But now Diluc had to try and figure out what they should do that day, especially to get Kaeya's mind off of what happened with Klee and Albedo. But at least Albedo would be visiting again at some point, most likely in a few days.

After some time, Diluc finally decided on what to do. He looked at Kaeya before speaking "What do you say about going on a walk?" He asked. Kaeya was quiet for a moment, considering it, soon nodding in response. The two got up from where they were sitting, Diluc leading Kaeya outside the winery. He figured it would be good for Kaeya to get some fresh air.

Diluc decided to stay near the winery a little bit as he and Kaeya walked, not wanting to stray too far. Kaeya was quiet as they walked, Diluc would have to actually start the conversation it seemed. He sighed a little before looking towards Kaeya "I'm surprised you aren't mad at me" he said. Kaeya himself looked at Diluc, a little surprised by what his brother said "Mad at you for what?" He asked. "The 'fight' from yesterday" The redhead said in response.

Kaeya just looked confused. "I don't know what you mean." he said. Diluc stumbled a little bit as he walked when he heard Kaeya's reply. "What do you mean, Kaeya?" Diluc asked, trying to keep his voice sounding calm. He didn't want Kaeya to panic or anything. Did Kaeya not remember what had happened at Angel's Share? It was just the day before, so how did he not seem to remember?

"I don't remember any sort of fight yesterday." Kaeya explained with a small shrug. He was still confused by Diluc's reaction to what he was saying. He himself hadn't even thought of the possibility of him forgetting more. Diluc wasn't sure what to say, he had to focus on staying calm. He was sure it wasn't Kaeya's fault, whatever it was.

"Diluc?" Kaeya asked after a few moments of not receiving a response from Diluc. The two had stopped walking. "What do you remember from yesterday, Kaeya?" The older male said suddenly "We went to the knights headquarters" Kaeya said. Diluc gave a nod, signaling that that was correct. "What else?" He asked.

Kaeya paused, trying to think. "That's it." he said. But he watched as Diluc shook his head. "After we visited your office at the knights headquarters, we went to the Angel's Share to try and see if you would be able to regain any memories but.." Diluc trailed off. It seemed that the trip to Angel's Share had had the complete opposite effect, but he didn't want to tell that to Kaeya, not right now. "Nevermind" Diluc said. "It doesn't matter" he said.

'But it does matter' Kaeya wanted to say, but instead he just nodded "Okay" he said. Diluc acknowledged Kaeya's response, all while making a mental note to talk to someone about Kaeya's memory seemingly worsening. How bad had Kaeya been injured before he had been healed by Barbara? If only Diluc had actually been in the city at the time, then
maybe Kaeya wouldn't have gotten injured in the first place.
