After a while, Diluc and Kaeya walked back into the winery. Diluc let Kaeya go ahead of him as he told someone to go get Barbara as he wanted her to check on Kaeya. The person agreed and left to head to the city. Diluc let out a small sigh as the person left. It was almost time for dinner so Diluc wanted to just try and relax for the time being. He ran his hand through his hair but tried to hide how worried he was from Kaeya.

Kaeya sat down for the time being. Diluc kept an eye on him for a little bit but eventually looked away from him. He hoped it wouldn't take too long for Barbara to get the message and come to the winery. He had planned on asking her to check up on Kaeya another day, but after thinking about it while he and Kaeya had been walking around, he decided that it should be done sooner rather than later.

Eventually it came time for the two to eat dinner, but just as Diluc had sat down at the table, there was a knock on the door. He let out a small sigh but unlike earlier that day, he had a feeling he already knew who was at the door. He got up to answer the door. Barbara was standing outside the door, as expected. He let her inside, though behind her stood none other than the Acting Grandmaster, Jean.

Jean hadn't even really been expecting to go with Barbara to the Dawn Winery. She had been off work and was with Barbara when the person Diluc had sent to get Barbara showed up. Barbara had asked Jean to come along, and Jean couldn't say no to her sister, especially since she was done with work for the day.

Diluc was, of course, surprised to see that Jean had accompanied her sister to check on Kaeya. He tried to mask his surprise though, letting Jean come inside as well. But while Barbara walked over to the table where Kaeya still sat, Diluc stopped Jean from following and pulled her aside. Jean looked confused but it quickly faded when Diluc began to speak.

"I think Kaeya's forgetting more things" Diluc said immediately, trying keeping his voice calm and professional. When Jean heard this, her expression shifted from confused to worried. She nodded a little bit but said "What do you mean by that?" She asked. "He was fine yesterday but today he's claiming that he doesn't remember more than half of yesterday" he said, he kept his gaze on Jean as he spoke.

Jean nodded again, she hadn't expected that answer but it didn't show on her face "It seems that he's started to get some form of short term memory loss" she said, though she would have to get Barbara's opinion on it. Diluc gave a small nod "It's the reason I asked Barbara to come here" he explained.

Jean walked over to Barbara and told her what Diluc had said to her, though she had pulled Barbara off to the side to tell her so Kaeya wouldn't overhear. Especially since Kaeya himself didn't know what it was that he couldn't remember. Once Jean explained everything to Barbara, she younger blond went back over to Kaeya with Jean

"Kaeya, what do you remember from yesterday?" Jean asked, looking at the bluenette. Kaeya had stopped eating his dinner when he saw the two walk over. He answered after a few moments "I remember waking up and eating breakfast before Diluc and I went to the Knights of Favonious headquarters" he said. Jean nodded along a little bit "Anything else?" She asked, but Kaeya shook his head "That's it" he said. The same answer he had given when Diluc had asked him the same thing hours earlier.

"You don't have any memory of returning home?" Jean then asked. Kaeya paused, trying to think. But he ended up shaking his head "No" he said "I don't" he said. His eye widened a little bit at the realization. Did he forget more things? It seemed that way. Diluc stood off to the side a little bit, letting Jean and Barbara handle it for the time being. His food remained untouched but he didn't care at the moment.

Barbara then spoke up "Kaeya, have you been having any headaches?" She asked. Kaeya shook his head a little bit "I don't think so" he said "Have you noticed any changes in your sense of taste?" She asked, but Kaeya just shook his head again. The younger blond then looked at Diluc "Has there been any changes to his behavior?" She asked. But the red haired man shook his head "Nothing except him acting like he did when he was seventeen" he said.

Barbara nodded in understanding "That's normal considering he essentially regressed back to that age. But if he starts displaying other behaviors such as aggression or depression, you should contact me again" she said with a small sigh. "All I can really do is tell you that he seems to have short term memory loss" she explained. But Diluc already knew this, so why had he expected Barbara to be able to do anything about it? Fixing someone's memory was something she wasn't capable of doing. Same with Jean, though Jean was more of a field medic than a doctor.

Barbara and Jean soon left as there wasn't much they could do to try and help with Kaeya's memory. Once they had left, Diluc finally sat down to actually eat his dinner, though unfortunately it had gone cold. He frowned a little bit but tried to use his vision to heat the food back up, which sort of worked, but he didn't want to accidentally burn the food so he didn't heat it up too much. Kaeya sort of watched what Diluc was doing but he said nothing about it. Though the bluenette got up from the table, having finished eating, and told Diluc he would be going to bed.

Soon, Diluc was left at the table by himself. As he sat there, he ran his hand through his hair and rubbed his face, letting out a sigh. He clasped his hands, resting his forehead against them. "Am I going to lose my brother?"
