"Slow down, Kit, or else you'll get another stomachache." He said, trying to get the boy to calm down.
Kit looks up at Silene with a mouth full of Ramen, Serene chuckles at the sight.
Kit chews and swallows slowly."Sorry." Serene just hums at the apology.
The two had managed to find a ramen shop over at the outskirts of town, though the restaurant itself wasn't all that the cook was nothing to scoff at. Silene had eaten three bowls while Kit was on his fourth and most likely last one. Honestly, Silene could eat more if he wanted to, he just didn't want to. If he wanted to, he could eat twelve cups in one bowl. But screw that he wasn't in the mood.
"Excuse me, sir, sorry to ask, but what is the princess like?" asked Kit just finishing his meal. He was curious about her after reading the brochure.
"She must be a good leader judging by how this city practically worships her, not to mention there seems to be no negative tension between her and the people." Serene said.
"By the way, there's something I want to ask you."Kitsunami quirked up at the sudden question he wanted to ask.
"Yes sir, is there something wrong?"
"Do you know how to defend yourself?"Kit shifts at the question.
He looks down to his lap, "I-I d-don't know, I mean, i guess."
'I thought so.'
"In that case, I'm going to teach you how to defend yourself." He said, already making up his mind.
Kitsunami looked at Serene unsurely, clear diffidence just by posture on how to take the request."A-Are y-you sure, I mean I d-don't know if I can do it. Im not like you. Besides, you already taught me how to handle myself." He said, discriminzing himself.
"That was different. I was teaching you how to run."Silene sighs, getting up from the counter. He leaves money on the table and walks out of the restaurant with Kit closely by the side.
The two walk for a while, going somewhere away from other people. Kit has no idea where Silene's going but doesn't question him.
"Kitsunami."
The said fennec looks up at the hedgehog nervously."Do you want to learn how to fight?"
"Um... I don't know, maybe." Kitsunami mumbles barely auditable.
Silene stops, causing Kit to bump into him. Silene turns around to look at the boy next to him, those orange lifeless eyes, that same cold stare he always has. His gaze made Kit shrink a little at the tall man."Do you even want to do this?"
"Well, I-"
"In order to live properly in this world, you need to be strong. Strong enough to defend yourself from people who will want to kill you. If you want to live a life with me, you know this is what has to happen." He said sternly. "Do you know that?"
"Yes, sir, I-"
"Boy, do you even want to do this? What do you want?" Silene presses on. His patience is just about wearing thin.
"I want whatever you want."
"Why!?"
"I don't know!" By now Kit was crouching down holding his head while using his ears to cover his face."I don't know what I... maybe if you got what you wanted... m-mayb-be I-I would want that to. Whatever make you happy makes me happy. Just... please dont leave me!" He started clawing at his ears from the stress of the situation. Silene had never yelled at him before, it brought up bad memories he wanted to forget. "Please don't leave me alone." By now Kit was on his knees crying into his ears by what just happened
Silene looks away from the small fox in another direction, doing his best to coil his anger. Damn this boy, he was such a pain. He had no confidence in himself or his own abilities. He was socially awkward to the point he cant even look at someone in the eye, and Kit always kept calling him sir. It was annoying. But even with all that Silene still couldn't help but like. He was a boy thrown into this with no regard to his own reason, Kit reminded him of himself when he was a kid, and he couldn't help but feel sad for the poor fennec.
Silene crouches to Kit's level to slowly pull his hands away from face. Kitsunami looks up
