Friday comes around, and I wake up to find myself - Yoshiko - conscious. How lucky! I jump up and climb down my bunk. I asked Mom to wash my shirts yesterday, so they're all ready to wear. I just need to choose one! I rummage through my drawer of clothes and pull out a plain, grey tank top alongside a pair of pale blue jeggings (jean leggings). I throw them on and check the time. It's 12pm!? I must've slept in. It's a miracle that Dad didn't come in and tear down my bed! I skip down the stairs and slide into the kitchen. "Well, you're a happy bunny today, aren't you?" Mom chuckles. I glance through to the living room, Dad isn't there. "Where's Dad?" I ask. "He already left, he has an early patrol today," she sighs. I nod and crawl to the laundry basket to grab some socks. "You've still got two hours you know, you don't have to be getting ready now!" She grins. I pull out my holy pair of socks, yes they have holes in them, but they're comfortable! "I know, I just wanna be prepared, you know!" She smiles and continues washing the dishes. "Kosa-Chan, come play football with us!" Rei pops his head through the door and tells me. I look out the window to the back garden, and Izumi, Hoshi, Fukawa and Masiko are all playing football together. I smile, "I'll be a minute, I'm just getting ready." He lets out a deep breath. "It's boys against girls and we're missing a player," He cries jokingly "Jin doesn't wanna get his clothes dirty and Goh probably wouldn't be much help." I snicker. "Ok, Ok, just let me get some shoes and my mask!" I pull on my scruffy, red trainers and run upstairs to my room. I snatch the mask off my bedside table and snap it onto my face. I place a camera on the front and speed out the back door. "Oh no, Kosa joined!" Hoshi jokes. Everyone laughs and they continue the match. Jin is acting as a referee, being slightly biased for our sisters.

An hour of football later, the score is 19 - 11 for the boys. "I better go back inside, I gotta finish getting ready," I say, severely out of breath. "Aw, ok," Rei replies. I hobble back inside and take my shoes off at the door. I walk a few steps towards the porch and throw the shoes in. I walk to the coat hangers, where my 3 year old jacket is waiting for me. I throw it on and strut into the living room, plopping onto the cream couch. I turn on the TV and start watching a half finished documentary about the history of agriculture. It's just the first channel that came up, I wasn't even paying attention. I'm too impatient, I can't wait to go see Tokoyami.
