Hey! My names Roxy Goth, I've written a few TMNT stories before and on seeing MM decided i want to try and write a little series about it. Like a TV show, it'll follow a 'A Plot/B Plot' kind of formula. So here's the A Plot!

Contains spoilers for MM of course.

Warning - Language.

I do not own any TMNT character

"Boys! Time for school!"

School. A world that the turtles never thought would be open to them, and now it was. True they'd had to go through a lot to get there, but they'd survived and now it was here.

"Does this look okey?" Leo fretted, pulling his tee-shirt down.

Raph considered him carefully. "Well, it doesn't cover your face but aside from that, it's cool."

"Tha - hey!"

"Boys." Splinter said, with just a hint of warning in his voice. "Here is your lunch." He handed them each a small bag - all the food they could scavage - and said, with a smile. "Enjoy it and look after each other. You deserve it and I am proud to call you my sons."

All the boys laughed half-genuinely, half-embarrassedly, but still hugged Splinter goodbye, waving at the rest of the new mutants as they left.

"Bye guys!" Raph yelled, waving at Bebop and Rocksteady. Bebop grinned toothily and waved back, dropping his end of the new sofa they'd just scavenged. "Shit!" He howled, grabbing his foot and hopping.

Rocksteady burst out laughing, causing Bebop to snarl back. "Shut up or I'll throw it at your head!"

"Boys..." They heard Splinter warn as they left.

"Why do I think living with those two is going to be...interesting?" Lea asked, rhetorically.

Raph shrugged. "Eh, they seem ok."

With only a touch more bickering they made it to the doors and headed in only to be greeted by everybody staring at them. There was a silence, then the hallway erupted into cheers and practically all the kids came over to ask them questions.

"How'd you do it!?"

"Are your shells ok?"

"Dude, it was awesome! Were you scared?"

There was so many questions it was pretty much impossible to answer them all, and with all four turtles trying to speak it soon became chaotic. Thankfully April found them and dragged them away from the crowd. "We need to get to homerooms." She said, as she shepherded them down the hall way. "Now, Raph and Donnie you're in together. I'll drop you off. Leo and Mikey you're with me."

Un-seen by April, Raph and Mikey - directly behind her - made lovey-dovey faces at Leo, winding him up. "Will you two knock it off!?" The oldest snapped. He paused and looked around sheepishly when he realised everyone was staring at him. He chuckled and blushed lightly.

"Wow! I didn't know turtles could blush." A girl said, looking at him in wonder. His brothers charming response to that was to start laughing harder. Thankfully April dug them in the ribs and managed to shut them up. "Guys! People are staring!"

Honestly, it was practically a miracle they got to the homeroom before the bell went. "Do you think they'll be ok?" Leo asked. 'They' being Raph and Donnie, who they'd just left.

"Chillax bro." Mikey patted his arm reassuringly. "They're cool."

True, they did seem fine, especially what with Raph's opening yell being, "Yo! What up, people?" and the classes reaction being to swarm them. It was mainly Donnie he was worried about. He was so quiet…

"Anyway, you two can sit together." April said, indicated a pair of free desks. "And I'm just here." She pointed at the desk next to them. "An' feel free to ask me anything. Well, maybe not during class, cos otherwise we'll get detention…but outside of class, go for it!"

Wait, what did that mean 'not in class' How was he meant to know what to do in class if he couldn't ask IN CLASS!? Leo felt panic rising up in him and quickly focused on counting to 10 and calming down. He felt a reassuring pat on his hand and realised it was Mikey.

"It'll be cool, Bro." His younger brother said. "We dealt with a giant whale-fly-horse hybrid, this is nothing!"

Leo nodded and gave a shaky smile, not trueing himself to speak. Yeah, Mikey was right, it'd be cool.

Ok, scrap that, not cool, not cool! Stressful, stressful was the word he was looking for. With only a slight shaking of the hands giving away his anxiety, Leo looked down again at his schedule. He'd signed up to do CPR, as he thought with his brothers track record - not to mention his new siblings (step-siblings? Whatever…) - that it'd be a good idea. Except he couldn't find the hall. The HALL! One of the most obvious things IN the school and he couldn't find it. He glanced at the clock. 1 minute late, Ok Leo, pull yourself together -

Something bumped into him and without thinking Leo yelped and kicked out causing a scream and a crash from the other person. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" Leo said, in absolute horror as he realised he'd kicked out at an innocent girl. "Ninja training…I'm so sorry, here." He held out a hand to help her up, as she stumbled against the lockers before falling.

She took his hand and allowed him to pull her up. "Eh, don't worry about it. Most people don't really notice me. Hey," She looked him up and down. "You're one of those new tortoise students, aren't you?"

"Turtles." Leo corrected. "And the names Leon. Leon Ardo." Might as well start as he meant to go on.

She stuck her hand out. "Irma. Irma Langinstein." With a grin, Leo shook her hand, realising he was talking to an actual girl and being completely cool about it-

"Leon! are you alright? You're looking at me kinda weird…"

Leo shook his head and pulled himself out his thoughts. "Sorry. Daydreaming. Hey, do you know where the hall is, I've got my CPR class there…"

"Oh, me to! C'mon, Miss Heinz is a really strict one!" and with that Irma grabbed his arm and pulled him down the corridor.

By a miracle his shoulder didn't dislocate and the teacher - in what he was assured was a RARE moment of grace - let them off being late. As it was the first course they covered basic body areas followed by a lecture on why smoking was bad.

"Oh, I know its bad." Irma had said, when asked to explain to the class what she knew. "My grandad, you see, he smoked all the time and then he got lung cancer and died. It's not good, That's why I'm never gonna smoke, no siree."

All was well until the end if the class when Miss Heinz askes to speak to Leo for a moment. "I'm just wondering." She said, while cleaning her glasses. "How much this class applies to you?"

Leo frowned, "Sorry Mam, I'm not following."

"Well, you're a turtle." Miss Heinz said, as if he somehow hadn't noticed that. "And this class focuses on human biology. I'm not sure how helpful it'll be to you."

"Well, we're a mix of turtles and humans, Mam." Leo explained. "Hark the whole standing on two legs thing and we have a few similarities. True I don't know how much we have in common, but I'm sure even if it doesn't apply to us it'll be useful for healing you guys out if you're ever ill in front of us." He didn't miss the way the teachers eyes glanced down to his hands, before she caught herself and said.

"Well, that's alright then. We'll be doing bandaging next week, maybe try and get a bit of practice, hhmm."

Leo left the hall wondering he he should be insulted or not. After all he knew it was going to take time for humans to accept them and her question was valid…wasn't it? At least he knew about bandaging {having three idiotic younger siblings will do that to you} so-

"Leon!" His arm was grabbed by a warm hand and he jumped, only to realise it was Irma.

"Ok, you've got to stop doing that! I'm a trained ninja, I could really hurt you!" He said.

Irma just grinned. "Sure you could. Now, you wanna sit with me at lunch? We could find your brothers - they are brothers aren't they? - and see how their day's been?"

Leo's first thought was to say no and find somewhere quiet to hide for an hour. Then he remembered part of why he was here. To meet people. So - to his own amazement - he found himself saying: "Sure…"

With a loud squeal Irma dragged him away.
