Soon, Peach and Mario brought Lincoln and Lucy to the training course outside. "I remember this training course.", Mario said, "Struggled a little, but in the end, I was ready!".
Lincoln soon decided to go first, "Okay,", he said, "This doesn't seem hard.". Soon, Lincoln realized that he was wrong, as the various platforms and mechanical traps started to move.
"Oh, I guess it's just testing me.", Lincoln said, as he told Lucy to watch, saying that he's a pro at this. But it turns out he wasn't.
Lincoln almost got squished by Thwomps, had a Bullet Bill brigade chase after him, almost got eaten by a mechanical Piranha Plant, and even mistake the donut blocks for platforms. "Pro, huh?", Lucy said, with Lana, who was in the castle, noticing the whole scene.
"I could do that.", she said, as Lincoln soon struggled to the end of the course. "How was that?", Lincoln said, as he accidentally got himself shrunk with a Mini Mushroom. "Hey, did I just got shrunk?!", Lincoln screamed.
"Oops. Sorry.", Peach said, as she gave Lincoln a Super Mushroom. "Much better.", Lincoln said, saying that these mushroom like power ups are very powerful. "So, I'm guessing it's my turn now, right?", Lucy asked, to which Peach said, "Whenever you're ready.".
Unlike Lincoln, Lucy was more of a REAL professional in the training course. She walked past the bullets, ducked under the firebeam, and even kick a shell into a question block, revealing what looks like a crown.
"Huh, it's no mushroom.", Lucy said, "But I guess I'll use it.". But before Lucy could even put her hands on it, Peach interrupted, "Wait!". "Who responsible for putting Super Crowns in the training course!?", she said to the Toads.
Toad said, "Well, you did, princess.", which caused Peach to get a bit embarrassed, before telling everyone to keep the Super Crowns secret. "Okay guys!", Mario said, "Your training is done!".
"That course was a breeze.", Lucy said, but Lincoln interrupted, "Really, it was frustrating.". "Let me give you a little secret.", Mario whispered into Lincoln's ear, "I think those courses were rigged, so that maybe Peach and Lucy did it on the first try.".
Soon, Lucy and Lincoln were about to leave, but Lana wanted to follow them. "I'm sorry, but you have to stay here.", Peach said, with Lincoln saying, "Yeah, big people do big things, and little people do little things. So stay at the castle.".
"But...", Lana said, as Mario, Luigi and Toad went off with Lucy and Lincoln. "Don't worry, they'll get your twin sister back.", Peach said, but Lana just said, "Yeah.".
When Peach walked to her bedroom, Lana just sang, "They are big, and I'm little. While they go, I twiddle. Why can't little guys do big things too?". Toadette soon approaches Lana, and told her that Chef Toad is making supper, and would like to invite her for the big feast.
Meanwhile, Bowser and Morag were telling Bowser's army about their plan to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser Jr and Lola, were now together, to which Lola is now Bowser Jr's slave.
"This wedding of yours better have sweets!", Lola said, as Bowser Jr said, "Oh, it will my princess.". Lola only agreed to marry Bowser Jr, only because of the fact that see would have her own army.
"Okay,", Bowser said, "Here's the plan!". "First, we go to each of the kingdoms, and get the fragments of the Super Star. Next, we set up my son's wedding, and invite the bride's family, to which Morag and Kamek are doing that part. Third, we do the wedding, and finally, Morag and I will destroy the Mushroom Kingdom.".
"Let's hear it, my army of Goombas, Koopas, whatever those things are!", Bowser said, forgetting about the Spinies. "You did it again, Dad.", Junior said, "He always forgets the Spinies!".
"Now let's get to work everyone!", Bowser shouts, while Junior takes Lola to her new room.
Mario, Luigi, Toad, Lucy and Lincoln were walking into a city now. "What is this place?", Lincoln asked, to which he noticed what looks like a building with a purple W on it.
"I know that W.", Mario said, "We're in Diamond City. The home of Wario.". "He's been living here for years, trying to become popular with his videogame company.", Luigi told the two kids, "And let's just say, that more of it's employees are a little busy.".
Soon, the two kids noticed a flower up ahead, it was a yellow flower, but to Mario and Luigi's surprise, it was never used by them. "What's that?", Lincoln said, to which Mario said, "Some kind of Fire Flower.", before being interrupted by a scientist girl and a witch girl.
"That there,", said the scientist, "Is my latest invention, the Spark Flower!". "Spark Flower?", Luigi said, to which he touched it. "Wow.", he said, noticing himself in a green shirt and yellow overalls, like Builder Luigi, but now has a yellow cap with his green L still on it.
"Try it out!", the scientist said, and Luigi threw what looks like a ball of electricity. "That was awesome, little girl!", Lincoln said, "Please, call me Penny, short for Penelope.". "Who's the witch girl?", Lucy asked with an expressionless smile.
"This here is my friend, Ashley.", Penny said, "She's not normally in a bright mood.". "Well, my sister Lucy is kinda like the same thing.", Lincoln said, but she sees me as her favorite sibling.
"Anyways,", Penny said, "Where you guys going.", and Lincoln told her and Ashley Lana's story. "That's terrible!", Penny said, with Ashley saying, "Yeah, what she said.". "Luckily, I've got some extra power ups, both familiar and prototypical that I found and made.".
Some of the other prototypical power ups that Penny made includes a Super Capsule, a Fish Suit, a Super Cabbage, and even some Super Garlic, to which Lucy kindly passed on. "Okay, so we need to get to the main entrance of town, and from there we go to the different kingdoms.", Penny said, "The Kong kingdom would be a perfect place to get reinforcements.".
So, with their plan made, the group decided to go to the Kong Kingdom, however they need to face some other kingdoms, and Bowser's minions.
