This fic contains blood and gore.

Something had been wrong with Alear ever since she'd been brought back to life.

Everything felt so much greyer to her since they'd all 'won.' All of the wounds across her body still felt like they were there even though they were long gone. Waking up in the morning was a chore and talking to others was almost painful. Her best efforts to consult her condition via research indicated it was something like 'depression,' but that didn't explain the full scope of things. When she was even mildly frustrated, she wanted to hurt people. When she felt aroused, she thought of digging her teeth into her friends and pulling out all of the beautiful viscera beneath the skin. At first, she hated herself for it, but now it all fell into a dark red slurry somewhere deep down in her thoughts.

The past few days she had sat alone in her bedroom. Everyone was too busy to see her anymore, at least, the ones who were still alive or able to visit her. She liked to stare at the wall and try not to think about anything. It wasn't working anymore. She needed to drain that dark red slurry somehow, and some part of her that still felt humane was worried what she'd do to accomplish that, and who it would happen to.

Suddenly, the Divine Dragon heard a noise she hadn't heard in a while: a knock at her door.

"Divine One? Are you in there? I was wondering if I could talk to you." A weak, familiar voice said from the other side.

The door creaked open and Alear's eyes fell upon Celine. Celine, Alear thought. She felt like she knew her. A ridiculous thought, seeing as they'd bled and killed alongside each other just a few years ago, but now, it felt as if Alear was staring at some kind of ghost.

"Celine," she muttered, as if experimenting with how the word sounded. "Hello."

"Divine One." The girl said. Her face was pale, and it was clear she'd been crying, her red eyes giving her away. "I…may I speak to you about something?"

"Uh, yes, come in," Alear motioned for Celine to step into the unkempt room. It felt strange to Celine. The one or two times she had seen the space, it was so spotless and regal. Now it resembled a barn, with messy clothes and bits of food and miscellanea lining the floor.

"Um…" The girl said anxiously as she walked to the bed, brushed it off, and sat down. Her gaze swept across the room one more time before landing on the Divine Dragon. "Have you…heard the news?"

"No," The Divine Dragon replied flatly. "I've, err, been a bit... busy…"

"It's…it's Alfred." The girl said, though it looked almost painful to do so. "He…he…passed away a few days ago." She could feel the tears already welling up again.

"I'm sorry," Alear replied because she was supposed to. She didn't actually feel anything. She thought of his sickly pale corpse, withered of its muscle, resting peacefully in bed with Celine crying by its side and all that registered was a faint sense of loss. There was a time when Alear might've been horrified with herself and wanted to cry, but now, all she could think was how empty it all felt. "Sickness?"

"Y-yes. It was…all so sudden." She said, and wiped her eyes as she tried to stop more tears from falling. "Th-that's why I'm here. I was hoping you could help me…take my mind off of it."

"Take your mind off of it?" Alear asked as she thought of Alfred vomiting blood and peeling his own skin to take the itching away and laying awake at night gripping his stomach and begging to die so that the sickness would end.

"Yeah. I always felt like I could come to you with my problems and you'd be able to make them go away. So now I'm asking for your help again." She said, looking into her eyes. "Please?"

"But... aren't you busy running Firene?" Alear asked. Celine didn't seem to pick up on it, but it was strange that Alear knew she was taking a hand in the administration of the kingdom, and not a Regent. Alear didn't actually know how succession in Firene worked, or what Celine had been doing over the years. She knew things she didn't know a lot, although only some of them were true. She stopped trying to make sense of them in recent weeks.

"My duties are important, yes. But I cannot perform them adequately while I feel this way. That is why I'm asking for your assistance." She explained.

"I, err, would you want something physical?" Alear asked. Exercise was supposed to help. The Divine Dragon spent thirty-six hours straight one day sparring. It felt that way, at least.

"I…yeah…yeah perhaps that could work. I'm not the most physical person, but I did pick up some things while adventuring with you that I could work on. Would you…be my partner in this endeavor?" Celine asked hopefully.

"We can do a lot of things. Wrestle. Spar. Run," Alear listed off.

"I think some sparring would be good. If I went running, I think the thoughts would still creep in. Even now, I'm struggling to not think about it." She said while shaking her head. "But if we spar, I'll have to concentrate more."

"Excellent," Alear replied as she rose from bed. "Follow me?"

"Lead the way." Celine said as she got up, and began following the Divine Dragon.

The pair of girls walked to the plaza of the Somniel. Celine noticed that the plants seemed be dying, and the stalls were empty. Even the clouds seemed grey and filled with water. "The armory is stocked with training weapons," Alear informed Celine. "Pick one. Any one."

"Divine One…may I ask why the Somniel appears…" she tried to think of a gentle way to put it, "sick?"

Alear hummed, as if she was a machine processing the data. "The Somniel is powered by the spirit of the Divine Dragon. I suppose the Spirit of the Divine Dragon is Sick."

"But…doesn't that mean that…you're sick?" Celine asked, new concern on her face as she stared at the girl.

"I will live," Alear replied.

"If…if you say so." Celine said, and hesitantly picked up a sword. She tested its weight and feel. "I'll go with this, I suppose."

Alear watched Celine move away from the Armory and back to the center of the Plaza. It was true that the Armory held training weapons, they were all on the right side. Alear went to the left and pulled out a sword. To the untrained eye, a training sword and a real one looked the same. They had similar weights and were polished to a fine sheen. Alear, unlike Celine, could see the differenece in sharpness, and the length and thickness of the blade, and the gentle meeting of solid steel against pliable skin.

The Divine Dragon measured ten paces away from where Celine stood and raised her sword. "Begin?"

"Whenever you are ready." Celine said as she took a stance and pointed her weapon.

Alear tapped her sword against he ground, and then motioned with her hand for Celine to approach. The girl did just that, and approached with an immediate jab, hoping to catch her off guard.

Alear stepped to the side and swung her sword in a wide arc. The blade made contact with the hilt of Celine's sword, rattling it and sending it flying to the ground. The unfortunate coincidence was that Celine's hand happend to be in the way for the briefest of moments, and Alear's immense strength combined with the sharpness of the blade severed skin and bone in order to reach the hilt.

At first, the shock of her hand being split in half all the way down to her wrist stopped any pain from reaching her brain. However it was only able to keep it at bay for a few moment before it hit her all at once. She screamed as she fell to her knees and clutched her hand against her chest, blood spilling onto her outfit as her already pale face grew even more so. She looked down at her hand with wide eyes, then at Alear. "Wh-wh-what…?!"

Alear reached forward and grabbed the girl's wrist. "Interesting."

"AHHHH!" She cried in pain as she tried to rip her hand away. "I-I…gahh! I-I need…an elixir…q-quickly!" She seemingly believed it had been an accident.

"You don't," Alear asserted as she reached one foot forward and hooked it behind Celine's heel before yanking it backwards and sending her falling onto her rear.

The girl cried out as she reflexively shot her hand against the ground to cushion her fall, sparking agony anew. "D-Divine One?! Wh-what are you doing?!"

Alear planted a foot on Celine's neck, pressing down and beginning to choke her while simultaneously hold her in place. At the same time, she gently slid two fingers in the space between Celine's hand, and spread her fingers, gently forcing the cut to open even more.

Her body attempted to scream but she was unable to. Her free hand clawed at her neck as sweat began to drip from her forehead. She looked up at Alear with a look of confusion, betrayal, and pure pain.

Something felt right about exploring the body of a friend like Celine. Alear wished she had done it more. Those two fingers that she was using moved down, sliding into the wound until Alear was knuckle deep inside of Celine's hand. When she twisted her fingers, the skin bulged and muscles and veins became displaced.

The girl could feel herself growing sick, her stomach churning, yet she was still gasping for air. She'd gone from trying to push her foot off her neck to just striking her as hard as she could, which to Alear, felt like nothing.

More and more of Alear's hand slid into Celine's arm, causing Celine's arm to bulge from the strange penetration. Eventually, Alear could grip two long, hard objects. She gripped them and pulled, removing Celine's radius and ulna from her arm.

Once again, the girl would've screamed if she could've, but she was too busy teetering on the brink of unconsciousness. Her vision was growing dark as her attacks on Alear grew weaker and weaker, and her eyes began to flutter. She just wanted to breathe, that's all she wanted, but she couldn't.

Eventually, right before she blacked out, Alear released her throat. Celine was too weak to resist when Alear flipped her skirt up over her body and grabbed her panties with her spare hand, pulling them down her thin, pale legs and off her body just to toss them to the side.

The girl gasped until she had swallowed plenty of air to feel everything again, and began to cry as she attempted to flip her body over, or even stand, but found herself unable to do either. She babbled incoherently as she felt a light breeze on a place she shouldn't. The pain hit her in waves, making her stomach churn again.

Alear saw what she had to do before it was done. She gently inserted the tip of Celine's ulna against her pussy, and the tip of her radius against her asshole. After a few moments of hesitation where neither girl moved, Alear began to push them both into the girl at the same time.

"St-stop! STOP!" She finally screamed, and feeling her own bones moving into her body, she threw up, spewing chunks of her dinner over herself and the ground as the tears streamed down her face. This was a form of violation she couldn't have imagined in her worst nightmares. "STOP!"

"I can't," Alear flatly responded as she wiggled the bones inside of the girl. "I need this. You need this. It has to be done."

"N-NOBODY NEEDS THIS!" Celine cried, her throat burning. "AHHHHH! STOP! PLEASE!"

It was harder and harder to push forward when Celine began struggling more, but at the end of the day, she was a scared little girl and Alear was something else. Finally, after a few moments, the bones inserted themselves completely inside of Celine's body, to the point where she probably would need someone else to pull them out of her. If anyone else were there, that is.

The girl had to take deep breaths to not only keep herself from completely losing it, but also to stop her stomach from churning more and make her throw up again. Her arm was still burning in pain, even as she tried to move it as little as possible, and her head swam. "Wh-why…?"

Alear stood up and wiped her hand off on her face, smearing it with blood. "I feel... something."

"Wh-what?!"

Alear continued smearing the bloodied hand on her face, until the blood was dry and she was continuously making the awkward motion of a cat licking at its own hand. "I feel happy."

"Wh-what…what happened to you…?" She asked, and winced as she attempted to move, only to feel the bones inside her shift and stimulate her in the worst way possible. "Ahhh!" She let out a sound somewhere between a cry of pain and a moan.

The Divine Dragon began to laugh, her body shuddering and twisting and twitching as she took a step back. Celine could see her begin to smile. "I haven't felt this way in years... I get it now... I get it~"

Celine began to slowly scoot herself backwards, while only using her free hand to do so. Blood poured from the wounds of her arm and onto the ground, leaving the beginning a trail as she slid backwards, making that same noise as before as the bone continued shifting inside her.

Alear crouched to the ground and felt the stone of the Plaza. "My Somniel, it's sick. I've been sick. I need to cure us both. I know how to cure us both," she rattled off with some kind of joy, like a child uncovering the solution to a math problem for the first time.

Celine wasn't really listening anymore as she was simply attempting to get away and perhaps find an elixir somewhere.

Sadly, she wasn't able to get very far by the time Alear grabbed her ankle and began dragging her along the ground. "Celine, you're going to heal me. You're going to heal the Somniel."

"L-LET GO OF ME!" She screamed, as the bones inside her rattled more and poked against things they weren't supposed, leaving her gasping for air. The blood trail left by her arm now switched and dragged painfully across the ground, faster than she could handle.

They approached one of the trees, and Alear rested her up against the wood. "I'm going to feed you to the Somniel. It's going to digest you and drop you to the ground. It will feed on you and become better because of you."

"H-huh…?" Celine wasn't sure if it was the blood loss now, or if Alear was speaking nonsense, but either way, it didn't make sense to her.

Alear sat down in front of Celine and smiled at her. It was friendly and comforting in essence, but seeing as her face was covered in blood, and she had just mutilated Celine in ways she could've never fathomed, it was far more dissonant. "Are you a virgin?"

"I…don't know?" She said, unsure if the bone still inside her pussy counted anymore, since it had certainly torn her hymen.

Alear scoffed. "Shame, I'll need someone else after you. Hortensia? I'm not sure."

"What…do you want?" She asked, still confused.

"I'm going to feed you to the Somniel," Alear explained as she crawled over on all fours.

"What…the fuck…does that mean?!" Celine wasn't usually one for such coarse language, but she felt the situation called for it.

She got her answer, in a way. Alear suddenly jammed her fingers forward with such force that they pierced the skin of Celine's stomach.

Once again, the shock kept her from pain for a few moments before she doubled over, screaming as more tears formed. She had no idea what had just actually happened, but she knew that it hurt.

Alear could feel her pussy becoming wet as she gently parted the flesh of Celine's stomach. It was easy to scrape and claw at the skin until her body opened and revealed the insides to the Divine Dragon. Her intestines looked healthy, and full.

Celine found herself staring open mouthed at her own organs, and felt sick all over again as she vomited a second time. This time, almost nothing but bile came up, and she forced herself to look away. "P-please…d-don't…don't do this…I…I don't know what's happened but…this…isn't you…" She pleaded as her body trembled.

Alear dug one blood-stained hand into the ground next to Celine and grabbed a handful of dirt. After a moment of struggling, she forced the dirt into Celine's stomach, parting her intestines and jamming the dirt into the empty cavities between her organs.

Celine continued to plead, but her words started becoming more like gibberish.

Alear could feel herself orgasm a few times as she filled Celine's dirt with organs, but it was more an automatic response akin to satisfaction than anything sexual. At least, that's what she told herself. Finally, when she decided she couldn't fit anything more, she stood up and sighed. "I love gardening."

The girl looked back, though it felt like she could barely move anymore. Everything was becoming cold. Seeing her body filled with dirt, she felt like she should've been horrified or disgusted, but everything was so foggy in her brain now that she felt nothing at all, and continued whispering nonsense.

Alear rubbed her clit through her outfit as she began cackling to herself. "Tree number one, Celine is tree number one. I need to regrow Somniel. I need more people. More friends. I need more trees."

With those as the last words she ever heard, Celine drifted off into unconsciousness. Her body relaxed and she let out one last shaky breath as the last bit of life left her. Her eyes lost all color and life, and she slumped completely against the tree. She was gone, though now she'd be able to join her brother, if there was an afterlife in this cruel world.

And it was only the start of Alear completely losing her mind, especially as she saw some color seemingly return to the Somniel. It was a twisted and warped color, mimicking her complete disconnect from reality, despite how ecstatic she felt. All she could see from this was that she was right. What she had done worked. Things were better now.

She just needed more.
