Inspired by Aragorn II Elessar's story 'Worst video game characters ever' and I was in the mood for it since I was recently replaying Injustice 2, plus, Felicity and William were playing the video game in Arrow 6x06. Thank you to Aragorn II Elessar for suggestions.

Team Arrow, Team Flash and the Legends and Kara and Winn were onboard Waverider, with Diggle, James, Iris, Curtis, Dinah and Kate at the TV, picking up the controllers and turning on PlayStation.
"Are we gonna play?" Iris asked.
"Yeah, we could let out some steam and relax." Diggle said.
"What are we playing anyway?" Curtis asked.
"Injustice 2." Kate said.
"Cool." Dinah said.
"Let's play." James said.
Curtis turned on the video game but next thing they all knew, a flash of light surrounded them before they were all sucked into the screen and vanished.
Few minutes later, Cisco and Winn approached the TV and saw Injustice 2 turned on.
"Oh, I love that game." Winn said.
"Are we now besties?" Cisco asked before they sat down and picked the controllers. "Wanna play?"
"You bet." Winn nodded as he pressed 'START'
As they went to the player selection, their eyes widened on seeing five new characters – John Diggle, Iris West, Dinah Drake, Curtis Holt, James Olsen and Kate Kane. They were all banging on the screen desperately, shouting.
"Help!" Iris yelled.
"Guys! Let us out!" Dinah begged.
"We're stuck in here!" Diggle shouted.
Cisco and Winn burst out laughing before looking at each other.
"Shouldn't we help them?" Winn asked and Cisco laughed.
"Are you kidding?" Cisco asked incredulously and Winn nodded. "Of course not."
"Yeah. So who are you gonna pick?" Winn asked.
"Iris." Cisco said.
"That leaves me with Barry." Winn said with a grin as he picked The Flash.
The game loaded for a moment before the stage of Batcave appeared.
Iris appeared in the Batcave as she looked around, panicking. "Please! Let me out!"
A moment later, the Flash sped in as he smirked. "I'm fast enough to knock you out."
"Barry?" Iris stared, flabbergasted.
"Oh, this is gonna be fun." Cisco grinned.
"Begin." The in-game announcer said.
Cisco and Winn began playing on their controllers as Iris began moving and trying to punch and kick The Flash, much to her surprise.
"What? Who's doing that? Stop!" Iris screamed.
Cisco and Winn laughed out loud as The Flash blocked her attacks, getting zero damage.
"Alright, my turn." Winn smirked.
The Flash unleashed a combo of punches and kicks as Iris fell down and flew into the air and Iris wailed in pain. She got up, when Winn then smirked.
"Time to change the scenery." Winn said.
He then pressed 'BACK' and X simultaneously as The Flash did a spinning kick. Iris was sent flying through the wall and fell into sewer, with the flow of the water dragging her away before Killer Croc grabbed her and slammed her to the walls repeatedly before throwing her through and Iris screamed before ending up in the storage area of Batcave.
Winn and Cisco were almost falling off their seats, laughing.
Iris recovered as she got up, terrified. "That's enough, please!"
"Oh, no, I'm not done with you yet." Winn said as he mashed the buttons in quick succession.
The Flash delivered a superspeed barrage of punches and then the Super Meter was on max.
"Finally!" Winn said as he pressed L2 and R2 simultaneously.
"Super move!" Winn and Cisco cheered at once.
The Flash did a pose and roared, preparing himself in Super Move stance before he ran around Iris, spinning her in superspeed. The Flash then grabbed Iris and sped off with her, opening a portal into the past before they ended up in Egypt, where The Flash slammed Iris onto the face of the statue of Sphinx. Then he ran into opposite direction and opened another portal to the past to the age of dinosaurs, slamming Iris against the head of a T-Rex that roared in rage. The Flash then sped with Iris back to the present to the moment where they had time-travelled and both Irises slammed against each other as one Iris vanished and the other Iris fell down.
With Iris's health meter to zero, Iris fell on her knees, looking trashed, shaken up and humiliated, though her face was full of relief that it was over.
"The Flash wins." The in-game announcer said as the Flash knelt down, preparing himself for a run before speeding off victoriously.
Cisco and Winn were in hysterics at this point, almost falling off their seats as they high-fived each other, when Oliver, Sara, Laurel, Felicity, Barry, Caitlin, Harry, Clark, Kara, Ray, Zari, Nate, Constantine and Mick entered.
"Why are you guys laughing so much?" Sara asked.
"The game has…" Cisco didn't get to finish as he burst out laughing again.
"Some new characters." Winn said, snickering, on verge of tears from the laughter as he went to the character selection that showed Diggle, Iris, Dinah, Curtis, James and Kate as new characters, all of them still banging on the screen and screaming for help.
"Let me out! Let me out!" Diggle yelled.
"Someone help me!" Iris screamed.
Team Arrow, Team Flash, Clark and Kara and the Legends and Constantine burst out laughing.
"Alright, when I wanted to spice the game up, this wasn't what I had in mind, but I'm not complaining." Constantine said.
"Right now I had The Flash run with Iris from the past to the future and smash her on a T-Rex and statue of a Sphinx in Egypt." Winn said.
"Dude, nice!" Barry said as he and Winn high-fived and everyone else laughed hysterically.
"Can I? I need to give John a lesson." Oliver said.
"Which means Ollie's gonna pick G.A. obviously. Who wants to play as Dig?" Sara said.
"I'll do it." Felicity said as they picked the controllers and chose their characters.
They appeared in Gotham, where Diggle looked around, confused. "What's going on? Someone get me out of here!"
A moment later, Green Arrow marched in, twirling his arrow. "I totally spaced on this meeting."
"Oliver? What's going on? I though we made up. We're friends." Diggle said.
"In your dreams, John." Oliver smirked.
"Begin."
Diggle tried to punch Green Arrow, who blocked and using Stage Hazard move, spin-kicked Diggle as he was slammed against the theater board before flying back and Oliver mashed the buttons rapidly, with Green Arrow unleashing a combo of punches and kicks and attacks with his bow, taking out a significant chunk of Diggle's health.
Team Arrow, Team Flash and the Legends laughed out loud, but Oliver's and Felicity's laughter were the loudest.
"I've been wanting to beat John up for a while, though this isn't exactly what I had in mind." Felicity said, giggling and shaking her head.
"Take what you can get, Felicity." Oliver said.
"OK, let's see what you got, Dig." Felicity said as she pressed some buttons.
Diggle pulled out a pair of guns, shooting at Oliver. "I'll show you I'm better Green Arrow than you!"
Everyone mock-gasped and mock-glared.
"Oh, finally showing your true colors now, John, huh? Fine." Oliver sneered.
"I'm very disappointed in you." Felicity shook her head and didn't even bother blocking the attacks as she stopped using the controller and Oliver began mashing buttons for a combo.
Diggle tried to defend himself but for some reason was unable to do anything due to Felicity not pressing any buttons, leaving him open to Green Arrow's attacks, who whacked Diggle repeatedly with his bow before firing an explosive arrow, staggering him back. Green Arrow spun his bow before swinging it, sending Diggle sliding down the ground. Green Arrow then jumped and kicked Diggle as he was recovering, knocking him down and lost the last amount of his health.
"Green Arrow wins."
Green Arrow pulled out an apple and took a bite before throwing it in the air and firing an arrow, shooting straight through the spot he had bitten it.
Everyone was in hysterics again as Oliver and Felicity high-fived.
"Thanks, Felicity! I needed to let out my frustrations with John!" Oliver said.
"Well, I'm happy I wasn't sucked into the game with them." Felicity said before they returned to the character selection. "OK, how about… Dinah?"
"Oh, me! I wanna beat her up." Sara volunteered. "With Black Canary obviously."
"And who will play as D.?" Cisco asked and Laurel sighed.
"Fine. Guess I'll have to take my annoying replacement." Laurel said as she picked the controller.
They picked their characters as they appeared in Gorilla City.
Dinah looked around puzzled. "What? Where am I?"
Black Canary drove in on her bike as she got off and cracked her knuckles. "Afraid you get your ass kicked by a bird?"
"Oh, I'll show you who's the Black Canary." Dinah sneered.
"Begin."
Mashing buttons furiously, they observed. Dinah unleashed a combo of punches and kicks but Black Canary blocked with ease, losing just small bits of health.
"Not bad. But let me show you who the real deal is." Sara said.
Black Canary deflected another punch before wrapping her legs around Dinah's arm and slamming her to the ground and breaking her arm as Dinah wailed in pain.
"Let's see how strong her Cry is." Laurel said.
Dinah got up as Laurel used the projectile move. Dinah unleashed her Canary Cry but Sara smirked as she used her controller and Black Canary jumped, dodging the sonic wave before diving down with a kick at Dinah, sending her to the ground.
"Ha! Too slow!" Sara cheered as everyone chuckled.
"That was satisfying." Laurel said.
"Let me show you how a Canary Cry sounds." Sara said.
Black Canary unleashed her Cry and Dinah staggered back, dazed, clutching her ears. Sara then mashed the buttons as Black Canary unleashed series of strong staggering kicks.
With power gauges filled, Laurel and Sara pressed the buttons, starting clash, though Laurel on purpose made Dinah pick the lowest level of power.
Overpowered, Dinah was knocked down by Black Canary's cry and lost the last remnants of her health as she laid on the floor, thrashed and humiliated.
"Black Canary wins."
Laurel and Sara burst out laughing and high-fived as everyone cheered and applauded.
"Who wants to pick Lesbianwoman?" Barry asked and Kara sighed.
"Honestly, I don't even know what I saw in her in the first place and I'm now starting to see how terrible she is." Kara said.
"I'm Batman." Caitlin said with a deep voice as they picked the controllers and Kate and Batman appeared in Batcave.
"You shame the suit with your attitude, Kate." Batman said.
"I'm better Bat than you will ever be, Bruce." Kate said and they all burst in hysterics.
"Is she serious? I'm cringing everytime she opens her mouth." Cisco said.
"Tell me about it." Oliver nodded as Caitlin and Kara began playing.
Kate threw batarangs but Batman ducked before pulling out a grapnel, pulling himself towards Kate and sliding down the floor and knocking her down. Kate delivered some punches as Kara pressed the buttons but Caitlin smirked as Batman jumped, grabbing a monitor from above and smashing it at Kate. Batman then picked a staff as a weapon and began beating Kate up, taking chunks of health.
Everyone laughed out loud at how Kate was being schooled by the real Bat, especially Oliver and Barry.
"That's not fair! I can beat you!" Kate snapped as she got up, making everyone laugh as she attacked again.
Caitlin chuckled, pressing some buttons and Batman dropped smoke bombs as they exploded, dazing Kate before he appeared behind her. Caitlin did a combo and Batman flipped, kicking Kate up before pulling a grapnel and firing the hook, pulling himself to Kate before slamming her to the ground, finishing her off as Kate was lying on the floor.
"Batman wins."
"It can't be! I can't lose! I'm better Bat!" Kate whined as everyone laughed hysterically and Caitlin and Kara almost fell off their seats, blushing from how hard they were laughing as they held themselves by their stomachs.
"That was excellent!" Barry cheered before they went back to character selection.
"Now James." Oliver suggested.
"OK, but who's gonna beat him up?" Felicity asked.
"How about Raiden?" Clark suggested.
"Nice." Ray said with a smirk as they both sat down and picked their characters.
James in his Guardian outfit looked around Kahndaq, confused. "What's going on?"
A bolt of lightning struck the ground as Lord Raiden appeared, lightning pulsing through him.
"Your obsession takes you down a dark path." Raiden said.
Everyone laughed, since that was true in James's case in his obsession to be a hero.
"You've got no idea what I'm about." James sneered.
"Oh, did I bruise your ego, Jimmy? Too bad." Clark said mockingly.
"Begin."
James began fighting as he swung his shield as Ray was playing on his controller.
"Uh-uh, you can't beat Raiden. Watch this." Clark said as Raiden blocked the attacks and went to counter-offensive.
Raiden jumped and kicked James, who fell down. As James recovered, Raiden threw one punch after another before grabbing James and electrocuting him with Raiden's powers.
Everyone snickered and shook their heads, not feeling any sympathies for James.
"Let's see what you got." Ray said.
James was swinging his shield and kicking, dealing some damage to Raiden.
"Not bad. But I'm a god." Clark cracked.
Raiden unleashed a lightning blast, sending James flying back before unleashing a combo of punches and kicks supplemented with lightning surging through hands and legs, dealing significant damage as everyone whistled, impressed by Clark's gaming skills in Injustice.
"Let's see what Raiden has." Clark said as he saw Raiden's power gauge full and did the super move.
Raiden summoned lightning, striking James, who spasmed. Then they were suddenly in Earthrealm at the stone bridge of the Sky Temple. Raiden punched James before teleporting to the edge and flew James to the sky. A lightning bolt violently electrocuted James from the skies as Raiden and James were covered by the moon and Raiden roared, unleashing his electrical powers to transform into a dragon, with Mortal Kombat logo appearing in the moon.
Everyone whistled impressed before the dragon trapped James in its jaws and and flew down to the ground, smashing James into it.
James got up but fell down, humiliated and groaning in pain as his health meter reached zero.
"Raiden wins."
None of them could contain their laughter as they held themselves by their stomachs and almost fell down, almost in tears from how hard they were laughing.
"OK, Curtis is the last one, who's going to take him?" Ray asked.
"I'll do it." Zari volunteered.
"And I think Sub-Zero should teach him a lesson." Constantine said as they sat down and picked their characters.
Curtis looked around Slaughter Swamp, wondering what was he doing there. "What is this place?"
Sub-Zero marched in as he summoned his ice blades, twirling them. "Are you a worthy kombatant?"
"Uh, I'm not here looking for a fight." Curtis said nervously.
Everyone laughed hysterically.
"Seriously, Curtis?" Oliver asked, amused.
"Come on, at least take it like a man instead of being a pussy." Sara taunted.
"Begin."
Constantine and Zari began playing as they smirked.
Curtis jumped and tried to kick, but Sub-Zero retreated before freezing Curtis, leaving him encased in ice mid-air. Sub-Zero then summoned an ice blade and slashed Curtis, knocking him down and everyone snickered, shaking their heads. They knew Curtis was a lame fighter, but this was embarrassing.
Curtis got up and punched and kicked, with Zari trying out his moves before Curtis began throwing T-Spheres, doing some decent damage, but still no match for Sub-Zero. Constantine used the buttons to deflect, dodge and block before attacking as Sub-Zero was alternating between ice sword and ice blasts and freezing Curtis so often he had no opening to attack as everyone laughed. As Curtis reached a low amount of health, everyone grinned.
"You know how every fight in Mortal Kombat ends?" Zari asked.
"FINISH HIM!" Everyone cheered.
Sub-Zero did a pose before freezing the ground as spikes emerged, hurting Curtis. Sub-Zero slid on ice towards Curtis, sending him flying up and before Curtis could hit the floor, Sub-Zero froze him and summoned an ice hammer in his hand, bashing Curtis away before teleporting and shooting several ice spikes at Curtis, freezing him in the air before Sub-Zero grabbed Curtis and slammed him to the ground as ice shattered.
Everyone laughed out loud as they held themselves by their stomachs.
"OK, I think that's enough, we should let them out." Constantine said before he waved his hand and muttered something.
The screen glowed and Diggle, James, Iris, Curtis, Dinah and Kate were pulled out of the game as all of them were lying on the ground, their injuries gone but they were all groaning and whining in pain, on verge of tears as everyone snickered at how they had been trashed and humiliated.
"So, hope this gave you a lesson in humility and left your egos bruised as you deserve." Oliver said.
Diggle nodded in submission as James, Iris, Curtis, Dinah and Kate let out reluctant weak 'uh-huh', acknowledging now that they had let their egos get the better of them, which just hurt their teams and friends.
With that, Team Arrow, Team Flash, the Legends, Clark and Kara walked off, leaving the humiliated bunch on the floor.
This was fun to write, hope you enjoyed.
Any comments or accusations that I'm petty and vindictive and spiteful will be ignored, this was just written out of boredom and fun, so don't try the 'all high and mighty' card on me. These days I don't care much about Arrowverse anyway, I might write some fics with them in the future, but my interest in it is very minimal due to how much it had gone downhill.
