Adora and Catra raced towards the Brightmoon kingdom. Catra tried running ahead of Adora, in order to win the contest. She didn't know where the castle would be. However, she figured a royal castle would be easy to spot. She started running faster than Adora. Adora looked surprised. Catra looked back at Adora and smirked, while saying, "It seems like I have a chance at winning this contest, after all."

Adora said, "You're a pretty good runner, Catra. However, don't assume you're going to win. After all, you've never seen what the Brightmoon kingdom looks like."

Catra replied, "Whatever, Adora. Kingdoms stand out, so it'll be a piece of a cake, to find that silly castle."

Adora and Catra continued racing. At certain points, Adora was ahead. However, Catra managed to catch to Adora, at other points in the race. As the two women got closer to the castle, Catra got her first look at castle of Brightmoon. It was bright and welcoming, especially in comparison to the Horde's headquarters.

The castle door was a short distance away. Adora was ahead of Catra, but she was starting to slow down. She had been running in her pajamas, throughout the entire race, which had been impacting her speed. Catra saw Adora moving slower and slower, so Catra started running in front of her. Adora said, "Oh, no. You might actually win the race."

Catra replied, "Too bad you're heating up."

Adora smirked, while saying, "I don't mind being hot."

Catra replied, "Tone down that ego of yours, you beauty-queen wannabe."

Adora rolled up her sleeves, which helped cool her down. She took a deep breath and continued running. To Catra's surprise, Adora started running faster. Catra tried to beat her, but it didn't work. Adora got to the kingdom's front door, before Catra did. Adora and Catra took a moment, to catch their breath. Adora said, "That race probably wasn't one of my better ideas. I think we're both worn out."

Catra replied, "I should of protested against your silly idea."

Adora smiled, while saying, "I won the race. That means you owe me a kiss."

Catra asked, "Do you really expect me to follow the rules of your silly contest?"

Adora said, "Yes I do."

Catra blushed, while replying, "Okay, but not in front of the kingdom."

Adora said, "Fair enough." She gently grabbed Catra's hand and said, "Let me show you around the kingdom."

Adora and Catra walked inside of the kingdom. The guards didn't know who Catra was, so Adora had to explain their history. Since the guards trusted Adora, they didn't kick Catra out of the kingdom. Adora took Catra through a tour of Brightmoon's gallery of paintings. She also showed Catra the dining area, the hallway, and the throne room.

Catra eyed the throne room, while saying, "This must be the most important room in the kingdom."

Adora replied, "It sure is."

Catra asked, "Are we allowed to be in here?"

Adora smiled and said, "Technically, I don't have permission or anything, but I don't think it'll be a problem. Queen Angella's a very friendly and understanding ruler."

Suddenly, Queen Angella burst into the throne room. She noticed a stranger was in her throne room, so she angrily stared at Adora, while saying, "Why have you brought someone I've never met, to my kingdom? Also, why is this stranger in the most valuable room of the kingdom?!"

Adora nervously coughed and bowed to Angella, before saying, "I'm sorry, Queen Angella. I was just giving the rebellion's newest member a private tour of the kingdom."

Angella looked surprised, while asking, "The rebellion has a new member? How come I wasn't informed of this?"

Adora said, "Glimmer and I were going to tell you, later on."

Angella folded her arms, while saying, "Getting new rebels is the kind of thing I'm supposed to be informed about, as soon as possible."

Adora replied, "Yes, your majesty. I'm afraid that I got a bit too carried away."

Angella said, "It's alright. I believe it's time you introduce me to our new team member."

Adora pointed to Catra, while looking at Angella. She said, "Queen Angella, this is my Catra. She was my dearest associate, during my time in the Horde."

Angella stuck her hand out. Adora signaled to Catra, to let her know that the Queen wanted to shake hands with her. Catra accepted the handshake, while saying, "Greetings, your majesty." She looked a bit nervous, while saying, "I'm afraid I'll probably have a hard time fitting in. I don't really know much about the Horde and I'm not exactly a social butterfly."

Angella calmly replied, "It's fine. During the brief time Adora's been here, she's mentioned a lot about you, Catra."

Catra looked surprised, while asking, "Really?"

Angella said, "Oh, yes. She made a big fuss, about how much she missed you. According to my daughter, Adora felt completely lost, without you." Catra looked at Adora, who was blushing with embarrassment.

Adora realized she was so focused on getting Catra to join the rebellion, that she had forgotten to get anybody's opinion on the matter. She bowed to Angella and said, "I apologize, Queen Angella. I haven't been acting very proper, today. I'm afraid I let my emotions get the better of me. However, I do have some good news. Catra, Glimmer, Bow and I fought a group of Horde soldiers and we won. Glimmer and Bow are taking the soldiers to prison, as we speak."

Angella smiled and replied, "That's wonderful news. I'm very proud of my daughter and you." She looked at Catra, while asking, "Are you ready to forget about what the Horde taught you, so you can start following a new path?"

Catra said, "I am."

Angella replied, "Then I welcome you to the team."

Catra responded, "Thank you."

Angella eyed Adora, who was still in your unicorn pajamas. She said, "Adora, you're still wearing your nightwear?"

Adora nervously answered, "I'm afraid so."

Angella raised an eyebrow and said, "You were giving Catra a tour of the castle and you didn't even bother to change into proper attire?"

Adora replied, "Like I said, I've been letting my emotions distract me. Oddly enough, I felt I was more organized and proper, when I was in the Horde. However, Brightmoon is like a thousand times better than that place."

Angella said, "Adora, have you shown Catra a majority of the kingdom?"

Adora answered, "I think so."

Angella said, "Then you may show her your room and get her settled in." Adora nodded. Angella said, "Also, change your clothes."

Adora looked embarrassed, while replying, "Okay, your majesty."

Adora and Catra walked out of the throne room. Afterwards, Adora walked Catra to her room. Since neither Adora or Catra were used to being in Brightmoon, it was great that they would share a room, so they would feel less uncomfortable about living in a new home. Adora opened her bedroom door and let Catra inside. After both women were inside, Adora closed the door and smiled at Catra, while saying, "You still owe me a kiss."

Catra replied, "And you still need to change into your day clothes. If I wasn't your best friend, I wouldn't of been able to take you seriously. You and I had one of the most personal, emotional conversations, of our lives and you were in your pajamas, the entire time. Pretty amusing stuff."

Adora sighed and said, "I'll get on my silly clothes."

Catra smirked, while replying, "They better not be as silly as your unicorn pajamas."

Adora said, "Go gaze at the wall or something, so I can get some privacy."

Catra replied, "Fine."

While Adora changed into her red blouse and gray pants, Catra looked around the room and noticed that Adora had a mini-fridge in the room. She smiled and said, "Sweet." She opened the fridge and pulled out a bottle of milk, which she quickly started drinking.

After Adora finished changing, she posed in front of Catra and asked, "How do I look?"

Catra looked at Adora and asked, "You're still wearing the same outfit you wore, during your time at the Horde?"

Adora said, "Yeah, but I took the Horde symbol off of the outfit, so it's an upgrade." She paused and asked, "What do you think of my room?"

Catra looked around and saw how clean, organized and colorful the room was. The room felt more pleasant and inviting, than the room she had in the Horde. However, she had gotten so used to her former room, that being in a different room felt a bit odd. Catra said, "It's a pretty good room. It's certainly better than your last room, because you don't have to share it with Kyle and the others."

Adora replied, "True, but I will be sharing the room with my new roommate, which is you."

Catra said, "So, we'll be staying in the same room?"

Adora grinned and put her arm around Catra, while saying, "Yes we will. It's going to be great. We could have a slumber party, every evening."

Catra raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's a slumber party?"

The Horde never had parties, so Adora didn't know what a party was, until she meet her new friends. Adora started telling Catra about parties. She also explained how people had a party thrown in their honor, on their birthday. Adora said, "After I found out what birthday parties are, I became angrier at Shadow Weaver. She never gave us a single party."

Catra replied, "Maybe that's for the best. She would throw the lamest parties."

Adora said, "I'm really excited, that we're both going to be in the rebellion."

Catra angrily sighed and replied, "Don't act like everything's sunshine and rainbows. Your team and the Horde are at war and there's a good chance, that we won't win."

Adora started sitting on her bed and she signaled to Catra, who started sitting next to her. Adora could tell Catra was going through a lot and she wanted to do whatever it took, to help her feel better. She put her hand on Catra's shoulder and said, "Tell me what you're concerned about."

Catra replied, "I'm worried about this stupid war. Hordak is ruthless. He's going to send all kinds of enemies, who'll be powerful and have lots of weapons. Plus, when he finds out that both of us abandoned the Horde and started working for his rival team, he's going to freak out."

Adora said, "Catra, you and I are young, but we're also strong. Thanks to the sword I was granted with, I'm stronger than ever and I'm not going to let Hordak, Shadow Weaver or anybody us enslave Brightmoon or the other kingdoms. I'm determined to bring the Horde down, with the help of all the princesses, as well as you."

Catra shyly asked, "Do you really believe in me?"

Adora softly answered, "With all my heart, girlfriend."

Catra said, "I told you to not call me that."

Adora smirked and replied, "Sorry, girlfriend, but like you, I occasionally ignore commands."

Catra said, "I didn't know you could be so dismissive. Is it wrong to admit I respect that?"

Adora replied, "Not at all." She pointed to her lips, while saying, "You still owe me a kiss."

Catra sighed and responded, "Fine."

Adora said, "Hold on, Catra. I know you don't like losing, but I figured you'd be a bit less angry, about having to kiss me. After all, you kissed me, first."

Catra blushed and replied, "I know. I like kissing you, but it makes me feel super shy."

Adora said, "You don't need to be scared, Catra. It's just you and me and we love each other. Of the two of us, you were always the more daring one."

Catra got closer to Adora, before she started kissing Adora's lips. While Catra and Adora were kissing, they started hearing the sound of the door being opened. Catra quickly stopped kissing Adora. Glimmer and Bow stepped into the room. Catra was heavily blushing and was hoping that Glimmer and Bow didn't see the kiss.

Bow said, "Hi, Adora and Catra."

Glimmer explained, "I just talked to my mom. For once, she's proud of me, which is a relieving feeling. She also mentioned that Catra has been welcomed into the team, which sounds good."

Bow looked at Catra, while asking, "Do you like your new room?"

Catra said, "Um, I think so. It's nice to share a room with Adora." She paused and tried to downplay her feelings for Adora, to make her feel less nervous. She said, "It's not like it's easy, to share a room with Adora. She often tries to get midnight snacks and she makes a lot of noise, when she has weird dreams."

Glimmer said, "We're glad you joined the team, Catra. New friends are always better than new enemies."

Catra said, "I don't know much about what your team does, so I hope I'll be able to figure everything out."

Bow replied, "It's pretty simple. We beat up the members of the Horde and restore peace to the land."

Catra said, "Actually, that is pretty simple."

Bow replied, "Being a hero requires being simple-minded." Adora and Glimmer rolled their eyes.

Glimmer looked at Catra, while saying, "I don't think you need to worry. After seeing you fight those Horde soldiers, I don't doubt you have what it takes, to be useful in combat."

Catra smiled and replied, "Thank you."

Bow said, "I need to load up on arrows, so I better get going. It's nice meeting you, Catra." He paused and said, "Technically, this is the second time I've seen you, but this is the first time, that we weren't in the middle of a battle." He walked out of the room.

Glimmer said, "Adora, can I talk to you, in the hallway, for a minute?"

Adora replied, "Sure." She looked at Catra, while saying, "I'll be right back."

Adora closed her bedroom door and she and Glimmer stepped into the hallway. Adora looked at Glimmer, while asking, "What's up?"

Glimmer said, "Your relationship is what's up."

Adora looked up and saw the ceiling of the kingdom. She said, "It's not like I'm in a relationship with ceiling, so nothing's up."

Glimmer raised an eyebrow, while replying, "I don't know what that means, but I do know what I saw, and I saw you and Catra smooching."

Adora tried to look sophisticated, while saying, "We weren't smooching. We just shared a kiss, to express our love for one another."

Glimmer said, "So, Catra's your girlfriend?"

Adora fiddled with a piece of her hair, while saying, "Pretty much, but Catra doesn't want our relationship to have labels. She's shy."

Glimmer asked, "Really? She seemed pretty brave and strong, while on the battlefield."

Adora explained, "Being strong, when it comes to battles is much different, than being emotionally strong." She put her hand on her forehead, while saying, "Oh, no."

Glimmer looked concerned, while asking, "What's wrong?"

Adora said, "I just told you, about Catra and I's secret relationship and I basically called her a scaredy cat. I'm a lousy friend, aren't I?"

Glimmer responded, "Adora, I've only known you for a short while, but during that time, I've seen you be a very caring and devoted friend. Don't be so hard on yourself."

Adora started pacing around the hallway, while saying, "I'm guess I'm just so excited, about Catra and I reuniting, that I can't hide how much I love her."

Glimmer replied, "Then tell her how you feel."

Adora said, "I have, but it makes her uncomfortable."

Glimmer asked, "Does she not feel the same way?"

Adora asked, "Are you kidding? Catra's crazy about me." She paused and said, "At least, I'm hoping she is."

Glimmer replied, "I think you and Catra need to have a little talk."

Adora asked, "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, I already talked her into joining our team, this morning. I'm not sure she'll be in the mood, for more talking."

Glimmer said, "I can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you a story. When my parents were growing, my mom had a big crush on my father and she kept that a secret, for a couple of years. My mom often talks about how those years were wasted and how amazing her life became, after she revealed how she felt."

Adora replied, "But revealing my feelings might make things even more awkward, between Catra and I, than ever."

Glimmer responded, "It's not like keeping your feelings locked up and hidden is going to help."

Adora replied, "You're right. I'll go talk to her."

A few minutes later, Adora went back into her room. She looked around and saw Catra drinking milk on the bed. She had accidentally spilled some milk on her shirt and the bed, which Adora wasn't very happy about, but she had more important things to focus on. Catra asked, "What's up?"

Adora said, "I know you probably don't want to hear this, but I love you."

Catra replied, "I love you, too."

Adora shyly paced around the bed, while saying, "I'm not just talking about the kind of love, that two friends have for each other. Catra, you're like my soulmate."

Catra avoided eye-contact, while asking, "Do we really have to talk about this?"

Adora said, "I'm sorry. I've probably put you through enough emotions, today. I mean, this morning, you were still working for the Horde and now, you're in the kingdom of Brightmoon. It's a big change."

Catra replied, "It'll take some getting used to, but I think our new home will be better than our previous home."

Adora said, "The only thing, that I missed from the Horde was you and now that you're here, everything feels so much better."

Catra asked, "Does having me around really make that much of a difference?"

Adora said, "Of course it does. Don't tell Glimmer and Bow, but there's nobody I care about more than you. If I'm not expressing too much self-confidence, I'm assuming I'm your favorite person in the whole world."

Catra had an amused look on her face, while replying, "Wow, your ego's been really shining through, lately. Becoming She-Ra must of boosted your confidence."

Adora said, "I guess it did."

Catra looked at Adora and noticed she looked guilty, so she asked, "What's going on?"

Adora said, "I'm afraid I told Glimmer about you and me."

Catra groaned and replied, "Adora, do you have to be such a tattletale?"

Adora said, "I really am sorry, but I'm just so excited."

Catra asked, "What is there to be excited about?"

Adora smiled, while saying, "Spending time with you."

Catra replied, "Big deal. We spent lots of time, together, back at the Horde."

Adora said, "True, but back then, we were kids and Shadow Weaver bossed us around. We're adults, now. We don't have to listen to anybody." She paused and said, "Technically, we have to listen to Queen Angella, but still, we don't have to be treated like servants or sidekicks. I'm my own person and so are you. I'm excited, because I believe good things are in our future."

Catra smiled, while replying, "That's the Adora I remember. Always overly sentimental."

Adora smirked, while saying, "It's not like you didn't have a sentimental side, too."

Catra stood up and smirked back, while replying, "You're wrong. I've always been hardcore."

Adora responded, "Yeah right."

Suddenly, Adora and Catra heard an ominous voice say, "Adora, we need to talk."

Catra raised an eyebrow and looked at Adora, while asking, "Did you hear that? It sounds like some creep's trying to talk to you."

Adora casually replied, "It's probably just somebody, who works at the castle, that has to tell me something about the war. I'll see what this person wants and be right back. Try to avoid spilling milk all over the place."

Catra sighed and responded, "Fine."

Adora stepped out of the room and closed the door. She looked around, to see who was trying to talk to her. However, the hallway appeared to be empty. She paced around, while asking, "Is anybody there? I'm Adora. I heard somebody call my name."

Adora figured she better go back inside, but suddenly, Shadow Weaver appeared in front of her. Adora nervously raised her eyebrows, while asking, "Is that you, Shadow Weaver?"

Shadow Weaver explained, "Technically, I can't transport myself to faraway places, but I can transport an illusion, that has my likeness. Although the body standing before you is a fake, my words are my own and my words are more scary than the power of a hundred soldiers."

Adora asked, "What is your illusion doing here?"

Shadow Weaver said, "I want to have a little chat with you, dear child."

Adora angrily replied, "I'm not a child, anymore. I also don't work for you."

Shadow Weaver was tempted to push Adora, but her illusion couldn't actually touch her. She paced around Adora, while trying to make her former pupil feel intimidated and scared. She said, "Adora, I raised you. You could of been raised by a poor family, who had nothing to offer you, but I decided to raise you, because I saw potential in you. I gave you all the motherly love, that I could muster."

Adora replied, "Then I'm glad you're not a real mother, because you were a poor guardian to both Catra and me."

Shadow Weaver said, "Hordak's a strong leader, but he doesn't always make the best decisions. One of his most foolish ideas was having Catra be the one, who would bring you back to the Horde. I haven't heard from Catra, all day. Do you know where she is?"

Adora folded her arms and replied, "She's here. She and I share the same home and room, once again. Despite you not believing in Catra, she's just as important of a person, as I am. Together, we're going to stop the Horde."

Shadow Weaver responded, "Adora, out of all the warriors I trained, you were the one I had the most trust in. That's why your ignorance and dumb decisions disappoint me. Before leaving the Horde, you were promoted to Force Captain. Do you know what a great honor that position is?"

Adora replied, "The Horde's Force Captains lead battles against innocent people. It's nothing to be proud of."

Shadow Weaver shook her head, in disappointment. She said, "Adora, you let me down."

Adora replied, "You let me down. I used to think you were a good leader, but more importantly, I thought you cared about me."

Shadow Weaver said, "I do care about you. I want to help you accomplish your potential."

Adora replied, "I have the potential to help others and that's what I'm going to do. I'm not going to be Hordak's henchgirl."

Shadow Weaver said, "Don't make me threaten you."

Adora scoffed and replied, "Give me a break. You're an illusion. You can't lay a finger on me and if you actually come to Brightmoon, I'll have an entire team of warriors, who will stop you and lock you up."

Shadow Weaver said, "Adora, don't try to disobey me."

Adora put her hands on her hips, while replying, "I don't care what you want me to do or what you expect of me. I know you raised me and because of that, there's a part of me that still cares about you. However, I will not do anything you command me to do."

Shadow Weaver angrily responded, "You're being a fool and Catra's acting like an even bigger fool!"

Adora said, "A foolish hero is still better than a smart villain."

Shadow Weaver replied, "You claim you're a grown-up, but you're talking like a child. Hero and villain are such simplistic titles, that have no real meaning. The only title you should be thinking about is Force Captain, the job you earned."

Adora responded, "I no longer want that job and I no longer want your guidance. Goodbye, Shadow Weaver."

Shadow Weaver shook her head, while saying, "This is not the end, Adora. I'll come back, but the next time you see me, I'll be in my true form. I'll give Catra the roughest punishment of her life and I'll force you to watch the whole thing." The villainous sorceress chuckled, before her illusion faded away.

A moment later, Adora walked back into the bedroom. Adora had been gone longer, than Catra was expecting, so Catra looked at Adora and asked, "What's up? I was starting to get worried about you."

Adora looked a bit gloomy, while saying, "Shadow Weaver visited me."

Catra nervously asked, "What? She came?"

Adora said, "It was just an illusion she sent, but she spoke to me and she's not happy to hear about us leaving the Horde."

Catra angrily sighed and replied, "I knew she would make a big fuss about this. I can't stand that woman."

Adora put her hand on Catra's shoulder and said, "If she tries anything, we'll stop her."

Catra asked, "How? She's a sorceress. She knows all kinds of spells, that we know nothing about."

Adora replied, "True, but we have Glimmer, who has magical abilities."

Catra said, "Maybe we should just go back to the Horde."

Adora's eyes widened, while asking, "How could you say such a thing?"

Catra said, "Shadow Weaver might go easy on us, if we apologize and start doing what she asks of us."

Adora replied, "Catra, you're suggesting we let a manipulative bully tell us what to do. We can't listen to her, anymore."

Catra said, "You told me you won't make me do anything, so if I wanna go back to the Horde, you won't be able to stop me."

Adora replied, "True, but I will ask you to do something."

Catra sighed and asked, "What is it?"

Adora said, "Don't do what Shadow Weaver wants you to do. Do what you want to do. I truly doubt you want to go back to the Horde, but I'm not you, so I can't confirm that. Tell me what you want, Catra."

Catra stared at Adora, while trying to get her thoughts together. She wondered what she truly wanted. Did she want to submit to Shadow Weaver's demands? Did she want to be a part of the rebellion? A few tears came down her eyes, before saying, "I grew up in the Horde, so I barely know the difference between good and evil, as well as the difference between following commands and achieving happiness. I just want to feel free, and I don't want to lose you, ever again."

Adora replied, "Then stay with me. We'll stop Shadow Weaver, when she returns. I believe in both of us, along with Glimmer and Bow. We can defeat our evil mentor." Catra pulled Adora closer and gave her a big hug.

Catra rested her head on Adora's shoulder, while saying, "I feel so tired."

Adora replied, "Then we'll go to sleep, early. I'll tuck you in." Catra smiled.

Meanwhile, Shadow Weaver reported to Hordak. Hordak had heard rumors, that Catra had attacked some soldiers and abandoned the Horde. Shadow Weaver bowed to Hordak and said, "I'm afraid having Catra be the one, to bring Adora back to the Horde, was a miscalculation."

Hordak slammed his fist on his chair and gritted his teeth. He said, "You raised both Adora and Catra. It seems your lessons are full of miscalculations. Where are they?"

Shadow Weaver said, "They both went to Brightmoon. They're currently living in the kingdom."

Hordak angrily asked, "What? Are you going out of your way, to bring people to betray me?"

Shadow Weaver said, "Of course not. I'm afraid Adora and Catra are a based influence on each other."

Hordak replied, "And you're a bad influence, on everything the Horde stands for, so find me a Force Captain, that's dependable or you'll be sent to Beast Island."

Shadow Weaver bowed to Hordak and responded, "I'll fix my mistakes, Hordak."

Hordak replied, "Whatever."

After walking out of Hordak's throne room, Shadow Weaver said to herself, "I will make Adora become the new Force Captain and if she keeps refusing, she'll lose her precious Catra." She did an evil laugh.
