To Break The Laws Of Chakra
October 9th…
Cradling the bundle of joy in her arms, Koriko Uchiha stared down at the small, fragile life before her. She felt many emotions throughout these couple of weeks: Sadness, Joy and confusion and yet this child was a symbol of hope to her. As she looked at the child cradled beneath her arms, she felt a newfound strength to protect the little things she had left. She stroked the baby silky wavy brown hair and looked at his eyes which were so similar to hers: Some of the darkest almond shaped eyes yet he still looked so much like his father. Uchiha Takeo was a prodigy upon prodigies in the Uchiha Clan. His departure from the world caused a weight that the entire village of Konaha felt but perhaps not as much as what Koriko felt. Her confidence could never match Takeo even if she tried and she tried alright, to live on in her memories. Yet when she looks at her infant's face, she can almost feel Takeo's soothing presence was over her like he was here in this very moment which she most desperately wished for.
The sterile white walls of the hospital she was in fell strangely comfortable to her despite the horrors she witnessed in the hospital. Despite all that she has been through in this hospital, this time, the hospital was a symbol of new life to her rather than being known for death a few weeks ago.
As she stroked her hair, the shade of a gloomy midnight and gently took care of the baby which was cradled in her arms, a gentle, resounding knock emitted from the door bouncing off the hollow, plain walls of the hospital room. Koriko shifted her attention to the door where a lady with vibrant, crimson red hair and a kind, walm smile entered the room.
"Hi there, Koriko! Is this little Naruto, right?" Kushina's smile was bright and lit up the entire room.
"Yes, it is Kushina" Koriko had a slight smile on her face and eyes filled with profound emotion.
Kushina glanced at the bundle in Korikos arms and her eyes seemed to glimmer.
"Wow, He looks so much like him." Kushina spoke with a hint of sympathy
"Indeed he does. Naruto is a testament to the love we shared.?"
Kushina seemed to lighten up even more at those words and she was glad that one of her close friends was alright despite the chaotic events that ensued. Their conversation flowed on as they proceeded to go over the profound memories they had especially about when they were on a team together. Koriko opened up more to the events of the past. She was relieved she had somebody that understands the depth of her feelings there bond, further strengthening.
"Kushina, how is your baby? Your pregnancy seems quite apparent".
Kushina let out a cheeky grin
"Yeah it's going along perfectly, the doctors said everything should be good. You know, I don't know how you handled your pregnancy so well, Koriko". Koriko let out a slight chuckle
"Remember to take some breaks. You know how Minato can be, always focused on work".
Kushina let out a chuckle as well.
"Tell me about it"
"Suppose we go out for ramen after your due date. What do you say Kushina"
"Yeah sure. Ramen sounds wonderful." Koriko agreed with a genuine smile
"Great, you got a name for your child?" Koriko asked curiously
"Me and Minato decided to name her Hikari"
"That is a amazing name, Kushina"
"Thank you" was the response from Kushina.
Kushina suddenly stiffened and so did Koriko, staying on alert.
"What is wrong Kushina?" Koriko asked with slight concern
Kushina started to relax but looked nervously.
"Noriko I'm really sorry, but something urgent is going on." Kushina started to become serious and displayed a level of confidence in her voice.
Koriko became alert, ready for anything
"Well don't worry too much Koriko" Kushina let out a brief sigh.
"Due to my tennet, childbirth for Jinchuriki, as you know, comes with some risks. Many of our shinobis are out and the Anbu are on high alert. The Hokage choice you to help due to your expertise in sealing "
Koriko's eyes widened in surprise. "I... I understand."
"I know it is a lot to ask as you just had birth"
Koriko's looked sceptical at first, Holding up and looking at Naruto. But as she looked at him, she couldn't help but see Takeo's image. Knowing what Takeo would do in this situation, she quickly made her choice.
"Being a part of the ANBU means serving the village, even if it means enduring some pain. I'll gladly do it."
Kushina's smile was a mix of gratitude and concern. "Thank you, Koriko. I truly appreciate it."
"Great but who is going to take care of little Naruto?" Kushina asked with concern in her voice.
"Don't worry. I will just ask Mikato and Fugaku to take care of him"
"Ok cool I will see you later" Kushina promptly left the hospital room.
Koriko proceeds to look down at Naruto, her protective instincts kicking in. Koriko was no stranger to sacrifice; She has been in the Anbu which taught her that that duty often came with a heavy cost. But now that she had a child, the weight of that became even more profound. She stared at the sleeping form of the child and promised to do everything in her power to protect both him and the village he would call home.
She couldn't help but to wonder at the challenges ahead; Both protecting Naruto and Kushina. Naruto's soothing breaths helped her calm down her ever racing thoughts and once Noriko was allowed to depart the hospital, she quickly made her way to the Uchiha compound to visit Mikato, holding Naruto in her arms. She slowly knocked on the wooden oak door and Koriko was greeted by the presence of Mikoto Uchiha and her warm smile.
"Noriko, it has been so long." Mikato embraced Noriko in a hug
"Yeah, it's great to see you. It has been quite a while. Mikato" Noriko cradled Naruto and entered the grand house of the clan head.
Mikato welcomed her in and offered her a cup of tea, which she promptly declined. She was greeted by Fugaku as well and entered the living room of the house.
"Noriko, it is great to see you. How are you doing? Itachi was wondering where you were" Fugaku asked then promptly noted the small child in her arms
"I was in the hospital giving birth to little Naruto. I gave birth a bit prematurely. Anyways, I have been great" Noriko answered with a shy grin.
"We are glad that you are alright after previous events" Mikato answered.
Promptly a black hair boy went down the stairs and embraced Noriko in a hug
"Oh hello there Itachi. How are you and your baby brother?"
"Yeah he is doing fine. That is your child right?" Itachi asked in curiosity.
"Well yes it is. Fugaku and Mikato, I have came to you for a favour"
Fuguaku looked curious as to what Noriko would want.
"The Hokage wants me to go onto a mission"
Mikato's eyes widened. Why would Minato send her on a mission so soon? Hasn't she already been through enough.
"What is the mission about if you don't mind me asking?" Mikato said curious as to why she was getting sent a mission just after her pregnancy.
"Minato wants me to guard Kushina due to my skills in sealing so are you able to take care of Naruto for me in the meanwhile "
"But you just had Naruto, don't you need your rest and can't somebody else do it?" Mikato asked worriedly
Noriko sighed and looked sadly.
"No. Currently there is not a good candidate due to the lack of shinobi in the village and the Anbu is using it forces to keep the village safe"
Mikato nodded her head in understandment.
"Sure we will be glad to take care of Naruto." Mikato said with a warm smile
"Take care on the mission," Fugaku responded
Next day: October 10th
Noriko was stationed in the tent where the birth of Hikari would be taking place. After a few cries of pain from Kushina, the baby was born and with a few checks from the doctor, it was confirmed that the baby was healthy. 'She looks so much like Minato' Was the thought of all of them as a mop of blond hair framed her face and Kushina cradled the small child in her arms. A warmth spread across her heart as this was one and only blood relative similar to Naruto and Noriko. She knew how Noriko felt when she had her child and what she knows is that the birth of a child can always brighten up the mood, no matter the circumstances in your life.
Minato had a massive smile and seeing her daughter as well as this was also a massive event for Minato. As Minato was brought up an orphan, having a child of his own was a new, and exciting experience as he will be able to provide the warmth of a parent unlike in his life.
Noriko stiffened at the stench of blood and before she could provide any warning, a Masked man appeared and grabbed Hikari.
"Well, isn't it the fourth Hokage in all his glory and Noriko the Shinobi of Darkness?"
"What do you want, and what is the meaning of this?"
"Step away from the Jinjuriki where the baby dies in its first minute", were the hollow words of the Masked Man.
"Wait just stay calm" were the rushed words of Minato.
"I am as calm as I can be" said the words of the Masked figure.
Suddenly he launched little Hikari into the air. Minato stiffened and launched up into the air, grabbing the child.
"Watch out for explosive tags!" Yelled out Noriko.
Minato swiftly removed the blanket covered with explosive tags and jumped out of the building, landing on his feet with Hikari safe in his arms.
While this happens, Noriko activates her sharingan, mangekyou spinning into a cross-like shape and dashes at the Masked Man however he disappears into a vortex and Noriko eyes widened.
'Kamui?' Noriko looked with disbelief.
Sweat runned down her face and a feeling of dread washed over her and the landscape suffocating her.
"Minato? Are you and Hikari alright?"
Minato quickly nodded.
"I see a build up of chakra south east of here."
"Ok i'm heading off there. Please place Hikari in a safe place for me." Minato commanded.
"Sure Minato" and with that, Noriko went to place Hikari in a safe spot and after promptly doing that, she went outside just to see a massive nine tailed fox.
Noriko shook as she heard screams of terror emanating around the village and memories flooded her mind: Of the Third Shinobi War, of Takeo death and the image of Naruto. She clenched her fist and raced towards the Nine tails. No matter what, she would always protect this village and Naruto, even if she has to face one of the strongest biju in the elemental nations. 'I can't lose, not again' was the thoughts of Noriko.
Suddenly, she was faced with the great nine tails fox. She watched as the tails smashed into the landscape destroying the trees and the few buildings around it. Her heart raced but she needed to stay strong for Naruto and Minato Daughter. She faced the nine tails and started to blur out hand signs and a dark mystical entity the size of Gamabunta arrived. Its Ki rivalled the nine tails neutralising the nine tails Ki.
The entity looked up at the nine tails and looked at Koriko.
"Koriko, you know I can't defeat the nine tails, why did you summon me?"
"Can you provide just a bit of assistance to be able to hold it down, at least for around 5 min if you can"
"Sure"
The entity stood there and dark chakra from the nine tails was being pulled into the entity, angering the nine tails it rushed at Koriko but suddenly, chains began to emerge stopping the nine tails in its tracks and Koriko looked around to see Kushina holding down the Kyuubi.
"Thank you Kushina"
"No Problem" was the response of Kushina.
Koriko used her sharingan and began to blast the dark energy from the nine tails back at him in small but powerful blasts. After a couple of blasts, Koriko could see the effects as it started to burn the Kyuubi just for the Kyuubi to heel up its burn marks and lunged at applying shinobi providing a crater, littered by crushed corpses in a consistency of thick gloop. It began to approach the village heading for it.
The nine tails were approaching the village where Naruto and her clan were. A sudden build up of rage built up and she began to send a powerful dark energy blast at the nine tails which flipped him over. However, this was fruitless as the nine tails stood back and began charging at the village and proceeded to charge up a Bijuu bomb at Konoha. Her heart skipped a beat as she watched the bomb being built up. There was nothing she could do when all of a sudden the Bijuu bomb disappeared.
Minato POV
Minato's heart raced as he faced off against the masked man. The weight of responsibility pressed down on him; his village, his family, and the lives of all those he cared for hung in the balance.
"Minato Namikaze," the masked man's voice was chillingly calm,
"I've waited a long time for this moment."
They proceed to go on a barrage of attacks and Minato eyes narrowed as he analysed his opponents as the Masked man had uncanny speed and precision in his movements. He used his instincts to dodge a barrage of jutsu and kunais trying to find a weak spot and when he did, he plunged a rasengan into him and to his surprise, it went straight through the man. Minato's blood runed cold and his mind raised through various situations, trying to find a way out of this. His mind thought about Kushina and his new daughter Hikari which raised his determination. He quickly became used to the speed and pattern of the attacks and with the use of the flying thunder god technique, he quickly flashed in front of the masked man intending to slash at him only for a kunai to be plunged into his left shoulder and for the masked man to hit him in the stomach pushing him down to the ground.
"For the Yellow Flash, your performance was pitiful" The masked man became amused at his prayer.
"This is your time to die" Minato got chills behind his spine, however, Minato was secretly building up senjutsu chakra and when the time was right, he flashed behind him and slashed behind his back but the kunai went through and he launched at the masked man but knowing how the Kamui now works, he quickly drilled a Rasengan on top of him.
The masked man was taken by surprise and promptly fell down.
"Your plans end here," Minato declared, his voice resolute despite his fatigue. The masked man was covered in blood, a big gaping wound covered his chest.
The masked man's voice was strained, his tone bitter. "You think you've won, Namikaze? You're naïve if you believe that."
He charged at Minato and stabbed him in the stomach. Despite this the masked man fell down and coughed up blood.
"We might again another time forth" and with that, he promptly vanished into a portale.
Minato was losing blood fast. As Minato's vision blurred, his body swayed, his strength waning. He felt a dull ache in his chest, his wounds too severe to be healed. The village he had dedicated his life to protecting would carry on, but he wouldn't be there to witness it. His thoughts went to Kushina and Hikari and his friends Fugaku and Koriko and his deceased friend Takeo. Despite laying in a pool of his blood, he still had a looming feeling. Suddenly, he felt a build up of immense chakra and once seeing the bejui bomb flashed towards it and flashed it away using the flying thunder god technique. He then flashed next to Kushina as he started to bleed out.
Minato's life was slowly fading away and Kushina's heart shattered as she watched her husband's life slip away before her eyes. Tears streamed down her cheeks, mingling with the dirt and blood that covered her face. A mixture of grief and anger surged within her, and her voice wavered as she let out a heart-wrenching cry.
"Minato! No! Please, don't leave us!" Her words were choked with emotion, a desperate plea to turn back time and rewrite this tragic ending.
Noriko stood nearby, her sharingan eyes reflecting the devastation that had befallen them. As a comrade and a friend, she had fought alongside Minato on countless occasions. The reality of his loss was like a crushing weight on her chest, leaving her speechless for a moment.
In the midst of the chaos, she found herself instinctively moving closer to Kushina, her presence offering a silent form of support. She placed a comforting hand on Kushina's shoulder, sharing in her grief and mourning Minato's passing.
"Kushina... Hikari... I'm sorry," his thoughts whispered in the void.
Regret gripped his heart, regret for leaving them behind in a world that still needed him. His thoughts turned to his daughter, to the life she would have to navigate without him. He wished he could be there to guide her, to watch her grow. With his final breath, his mind was filled with images of the village he loved, the faces of those he cherished, and the unwavering spirit of a ninja who had lived his life to the fullest. And that is when he fell.
Without warning, the nine tails broke out of Kushina Chains .
"Kushina" With tears in her eyes Koriko whispered
"We don't have much time. The Nine-Tails is too powerful to be contained in one person. I can only seal up around ⅓ of the nine tails chakra which means I need two infants to seal it in and to seal into myself. Sealing it in you will kill you so we have to seal it in Naruto and Hikari since they have the chakra to do it"
"Koriko, you can't be serious," Kushina whispered, her voice cracking. "You can't expect to..." Kushina knew what was going to happen and expression turned solemn but she understood the gravity of Koriko's plan. It was needed, the whole village would be gone.
Koriko told the location of Naruto and Hikari and Kushina ran and grabbed two infants while Koriko produced the seals. Lying on the altar, was now Hikari and Naruto.
Koriko proceeded to do a few seals and performed a jutsu, the death reaper seal.
Kushina eyes widened at the use of the jutsu.
"Koriko, you can't be serious. We're both mothers, Koriko. We both understand the depth of a mother's love. But... this is too much "
Koriko had a weak smile at Kushina's words as she nodded.
And with that, the Shinigami rose and by Koriko commands, began to seal the Kuabi in both Hikari and Naruto in the cost for Koriko's soul but in the midst of this, the nine tails attacked Koriko lunging its claw at her. Kushina stood and took the blow, the nail engraved deep and she was pierced by the claw of the nine tails.
"Koriko, I guess this is it-" and with that Kushina fell dead.
The nine tails chakra was sealed and Koriko dropped to the ground as she saw Hizusen running towards her
"Koriko. What happened? Where is the nine tails?" Hiruzen looked in shock at damage around him. Tears threatened to escape his eyes when he saw the lifeless forms of kushina and minat
"Hiruzen. I don't have too much to be alive as I sealed the nine tails in my son and Kushina. Both Naruto and Hikari contain the biju. I used the reaper seal along with my own personal seal to seal the biju. They had to be spit into ⅓ to hold the beast. Please can you just keep a promise"
"Yes i will Koriko" Responded Hiruzen
"Protect Hikari and Naruto and don't let the village know of there status"
"Ok I will"
And slowly Koriko faded from existence
