Since Raven acted so dark and gloomy, her fellow teammates often failed to realize that she had a soft side. Although she was far from being the nicest, friendliest superhero, she was a caring person that had a lot of emotions. Despite that, the other members of the Teen Titans often thought that Raven was an emotionless person that didn't do anything other than mope around.

Since Raven often didn't get along with her teammates, she needed somebody that she could trust and spend time with. That somebody turned out to be Rose Wilson, also known as Ravager. At first, Raven had a hard time trusting Rose, because she was the daughter of Slade, who was the arch-enemy of the Teen Titans. However, Raven quickly realized that she was in no position to judge, because her father was the villainous Trigon. Unlike her father, Raven wasn't evil, and the same was true for Rose. Although Rose often seemed cold and intimidating, she did have somewhat of a soft side. However, that soft side only seemed to come out when she was around Raven. It was often up to Raven and Rose to bring out the best in each other. When Raven wasn't fighting supervillains, she was often spending time with Rose. Rose would often pay visits to the Titans Tower, so she could hang out with Raven. The other members of the Teen Titans didn't like having Rose around, so Raven's room was the only part of the tower that Rose had permission to be at.

One morning, Raven was hanging out with Rose in her room. She was sitting on her bed, while telling Rose about the recent adventures that she had gone on. She mentioned some of the weirder missions that she had been on, including the time that the Teen Titans had to stop Santa Claus from ruining the other holidays, as well as the time that Brother Blood got defeated by waffles. Raven said, "I suppose my team is starting to sound pretty silly."

Rose had an amused look on her face, while replying, "Your team has been acting silly for a long time."

Raven sighed and said, "I suppose that's true. To be honest, I'm almost embarrassed to be going on these adventures, because of how ridiculous they are."

Rose replied, "Well, at least you're still cool. You're probably the only cool thing about this lame team."

Raven looked mildly offended, while saying, "Hey, my team's not lame."

Rose started patting Raven on the shoulder, while replying, "There's no need to be offended. After all, your teammates are the ones who are lame. As for you, you're awesome."

Raven started looking flattered, while saying, "Why, thank you. I like it when you call me awesome."

Rose smiled, while replying, "I like it when you like me calling you awesome."

Raven smiled back, while saying, "I like it when you like me liking being called awesome."

Raven and Rose spent a few minutes sharing compliments with each other. For a short while, it seemed like there would be no end to their series of compliments. However, their sweet talk was interrupted by Robin bursting into Raven's room. Raven had told her teammates to never come into her room without knocking, so she was upset by Robin's sudden intrusion. She folded her arms, while angrily asking, "What are you doing here?"

Robin said, "Slade has come back! He's at a nearby warehouse, so we need to go stop him."

Raven replied, "Okay."

Robin looked at Rose, while saying, "You better not be working with your father."

Rose replied, "Wow, you're ready to villainize me just because of who my father is? That's cold. For the record, I no longer have any association with him."

Robin responded, "I hope that you're telling the truth."

Raven said, "She is."

Robin looked at Raven, while replying, "The other Titans are all ready, so let's get going."

Raven responded, "I'll be ready in a minute."

Robin started walking out of the room, while saying, "You better hurry up."

After Robin was out of the room, Raven looked back at Rose, while saying, "Your father's quite the fearsome opponent, so we could use all the help that we can get. Would you care to join us?"

Rose replied, "I'm sorry, but I can't get involved. You're my best friend, but Slade's my father, so I have to stay out of this."

Raven said, "I understand."

Rose replied, "I'm just upset that my dad interrupted our personal time."

Raven said, "We can continue hanging out later."

Rose started smiling, while saying, "Really?"

Raven replied, "Come by this evening. By then, I'm sure that the battle with Slade will be over."

Rose responded, "Okay."

Meanwhile, Robin was tapping his feet, while angrily waiting for Raven to get ready. He looked at Starfire, Cyborg and Beast Boy, while saying, "Ever since Raven started hanging out with Ravager, she's been taking forever to get ready."

Starfire said, "Maybe it's because Raven likes sharing long, affectionate goodbyes with Rose."

Beast Boy replied, "There's no way that's possible, because Raven doesn't have any emotions."

Cyborg said, "Beast Boy's totally right about that. Even though I'm a robot, I'm far more emotional than Raven's ever been. In fact, I wouldn't be that surprised if Raven actually was a robot."

Robin looked extremely frustrated, while saying, "We don't have time for Raven to give Ravager the longest goodbyes in history. Slade's on the loose, so we need to hurry up."

Cyborg replied, "Then let's get Raven, so we can get going."

Robin, Starfire, Cyborg and Beast Boy ran up to Raven's room. They tried to open up the door, but the door was locked. Robin tried to use his staff to break down the door, but it failed to work. Cyborg used the blaster in his arm to try to blast the door open. After a few blasts, the door exploded. The Titans went inside and saw Raven and Rose embracing each other.

Raven turned around and saw her fellow teammates, so she angrily asked, "What are you doing here?"

Robin angrily said, "It's time to get going!"

Raven let go of Rose, while saying, "I need to get going."

Rose replied, "Fine, but I'll see you later."

The Teen Titans went into their jet and started flying towards the warehouse that Slade had been staying at. Robin was the one who was flying the jet. His mind was focused on Slade, but the rest of the Titans appeared to be distracted by Raven.

Raven was hoping that the Titans wouldn't bring up the fact that they had caught her sharing an affectionate moment with Rose, but she figured that the Titans couldn't resist getting involved in her personal business.

Cyborg looked at Raven, while saying, "I thought that you were supposed to be emotionless."

Raven folded her arms, while replying, "I keep telling you guys that I do have emotions."

Beast Boy said, "But you always act so gloomy and robotic."

Starfire said, "It seems like Rose is the only one that can make you come out of your shell."

Raven replied, "I suppose that's true. After all, she's the only friend that I can depend on to not make fun of me."

Cyborg asked, "What about us?"

Raven looked ticked off, while saying, "You guys always make fun of me."

Beast Boy replied, "That's because you have so many qualities that are easy to poke fun at."

Raven asked, "Don't you think that you're being somewhat hypocritical?"

Beast Boy answered, "Nope."

Starfire patted Raven on the back, while saying, "We don't mean to make you feel bad, Raven. We're just surprised to see you show genuine affection towards another person. You must really love Rose."

Raven smiled, while replying, "I do."

Starfire noticed how happy Raven looked, so she had an excited look on her face, while saying, "Raven's fallen in love!"

Raven started angrily blushing, while replying, "You don't know what you're talking about."

Robin was getting tired of his teammates talking about Raven's feelings for Rose instead of Slade, so he said, "I know that we haven't gotten to the villain's lair, but that doesn't mean that you guys shouldn't be getting ready for the serious mission that's ahead of us."

Cyborg replied, "Whatever's going on with Slade isn't important, Robin. Making fun of Raven is more important."

Robin responded, "As much as I enjoy making Raven feel uncomfortable, we have a supervillain to deal with."

Raven said, "Robin usually doesn't things that I agree with, but in this case, I actually do agree with him. Let's forget about me and Rose."

Starfire had an amused look on her face, while replying, "I don't think that you could ever forget about Rose. After all, it almost seems like you spend more time with her than you do with us."

Beast Boy said, "Yeah, Rose comes by the Titans Tower so much that it almost feels like she lives there."

Raven asked, "Why do you guys care so much about what's going on between Rose and me?"

Cyborg said, "Because our curiosity gets the better of us. So, are you two a couple?"

Raven angrily screamed, "That's none of your business!"

Starfire whispered to Cyborg and Beast Boy, "Raven and Rose are totally a couple." Cyborg and Beast Boy nodded in agreement.

A short time later, the Teen Titans arrived at Slade's warehouse. The Titans quickly got out of the jet and started heading into the warehouse. They looked around and saw several boxes of supervillain weapons. They also Slade standing in the middle of the warehouse.

Slade said, "Greetings, my dear enemies."

Robin angrily stared at Slade, while replying, "Hiding in a warehouse wasn't your smartest move. Commissioner Gordon's officers quickly found where you were hiding and informed us about it."

Slade replied, "That's because I wanted you to find me. The five of you and I have so much unfinished business to take care of, so I wanted us to reunite. If anything, I would have expected you to come by sooner."

Cyborg said, "We would have gotten here a long time if Raven wasn't always on dates with your daughter."

Slade turned his attention to Raven, while saying, "I had heard that you and my daughter have become rather close. I must admit that I was a little disappointed that my daughter had to pick one of my enemies for a soulmate. However, I'm just grateful that she didn't pick Robin."

Robin replied, "Hey, I'm the best."

Slade responded, "You couldn't be more wrong about that. Of all the pests that I've encountered in my long life, you've been the most bothersome of them all."

Raven said, "I think that we've done enough talking. It's time that we bring you down."

Slade replied, "As much as I enjoy our little chats, my favorite part of spending time you guys is beating you up." Slade grabbed Robin and threw him across the room. Robin tried to hit Slade with his staff, but Slade quickly took the staff and snapped it in half.

Robin looked horrified, while saying, "You broke my precious staff!"

Slade replied, "Your staff was a toy. You and your former boss, Batman, always loved playing with toys."

Cyborg looked at Beast Boy, while saying, "Robin might be the boy blunder, but the two of us can easily bring Slade down."

Beast Boy replied, "You're right about that, bro."

Cyborg said, "You can turn into a giant animal, while I charge up my blaster. That way, you can use your strength to crush Slade, while I blast him."

Beast Boy replied, "Sounds like a good idea."

Cyborg pointed his blaster at Slade, while saying, "Prepare to get blasted." Cyborg tried to blast Slade, but Slade quickly ducked out of the way. Instead of blasting Slade, Cyborg accidentally blasted Beast Boy. Beast Boy fell to the ground and passed out.

Slade looked at Cyborg, while saying, "You attempted to defeat me, yet your precious bestie was the one who got hurt. How sad."

Starfire flew behind Slade, while saying, "You're such a wicked man."

Slade replied, "Maybe, but I have a special type of charm."

Starfire said, "I'm going to defeat you."

Slade replied, "That's not going to happen."

Starfire tried to use the energy beams from her hands to attack Slade. However, Slade quickly got out of the way. Starfire ended up accidentally blasting Cyborg with her energy beams. Cyborg fell to the ground and passed out. Starfire looked scared and guilty, while saying, "I hurt my poor teammate."

Slade laughed and replied, "You fools do an excellent job at defeating each other." Slade punched Starfire so hard that she crashed into a pile of supervillain weapons.

A few minutes later, Slade looked around the warehouse and saw Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Starfire resting on the floor. He said, "Four out of my five enemies are already defeated. This is excellent news. I better go defeat the last one, so I can call it a day."

Suddenly, Raven flew by Slade and started blasting him around the warehouse. Slade was impressed by Raven's sneak attack, but he was in no mood to give up. He opened up a crate of supervillain weapons. He tried to grab some of the weapons, but Raven used her powers to blow up all of the weapons in the box. She grabbed Slade and started kicking him around. She said, "My teammates aren't having their best day of fighting, because they're distracted by petty nonsense. However, nothing will distract me from my fight with you."

Slade replied, "Oh, really? What about my daughter? You two seem to really be growing as a couple."

Raven said, "We are not a couple!"

Slade replied, "Raven, I've lied more than anybody else I know. Because of that, I'm easily able to tell when others are lying. There's no doubt that you are smitten with her. She's your whole world."

Raven was momentarily distracted by her feelings for Rose. That moment of distraction gave Slade the advantage he needed. While Raven was distracted, Slade grabbed her by the throat. Raven nervously asked, "What are you doing?"

Slade said, "I'm going to finally defeat you."

Raven replied, "I don't think so." Raven blasted Slade across the warehouse. Slade made another attempt to grab weapons, but Raven kept blowing up the weapons. Raven flew around, while trying to catch Slade.

Slade started running around the warehouse, while saying, "You're the most powerful of your teammates. You would certainly be a better leader than the boy blunder, but that doesn't mean that you have what it takes to stop me."

Raven said, "I'm stronger than you think."

Slade replied, "When it comes to physical strength and superpowers, you're amazing. However, when it comes to emotions, you're weak. I'm betting that your fellow teammates think that you're an emotionless robot, but I know what you're really like. Deep down, you're an emotional person who is struggling to admit to herself that she's found true love."

Raven angrily said, "You don't know anything about Rose and me, so you need to shut up!"

Slade started pacing around Raven, while asking, "Have you forgotten that I'm her father? I know all of her secrets. I've read every text that she's ever sent. I've also read her diary. I'm betting that even you haven't gotten a peek into her diary."

Raven looked surprised, while replying, "I didn't even know that she had a diary."

Slade said, "She sure does. She writes about you all the time. She's even drawn a few hearts over pictures of you. In all the years that I've known Rose, I've never seen her talk about anyone or anything in an affectionate matter. At least, that used to be the case. She opened up a lot when she met you. She really loves you, Raven. It's too bad that you won't live long enough for her to confess her feelings towards you."

Raven started blasting Slade with everything she had. Slade had been so busy trying to haunt Raven with secrets about Rose that he hadn't prepared himself for a physical fight against Raven. Because of that, Raven won the fight. Slade fell to the ground and passed out.

After Raven woke her teammates up, the Teen Titans grabbed Slade and raced back to their jet. They flew by the police department and dropped off Slade. Afterwards, the Titans started heading home.

Raven looked at her teammates, while saying, "You guys didn't exactly do the best job at fighting Slade."

Cyborg nervously laughed and replied, "I suppose that's true." He looked at Beast Boy, while saying, "I'm sorry for blasting you."

Beast Boy replied, "It's okay."

Starfire looked at Cyborg, while saying, "And I'm sorry for hurting you with my energy beams."

Cyborg replied, "It's cool."

Robin looked angry, while saying, "All of you guys were easily distracted. If it wasn't for Raven, we would have lost that fight."

Starfire looked at Raven, while saying, "You did a great job."

Raven replied, "Thank you, but the truth is that Slade was right about me. I let my emotions distract me from my mission. I can't keep letting my feelings distract me from my work. Otherwise, I might not be as good of a superhero as I'm supposed to be."

Starfire said, "You appear to be distracted a lot by Rose. Perhaps it is because you haven't yet admitted to her or yourself how you really feel."

Raven sighed and replied, "I suppose that's true. I think it's about time that her and me have an important chat."

That evening, Raven was reading a book in her bed, while waiting for Rose to arrive. When Rose finally came into her room, Raven set the book down and said, "Hi, Rose."

Rose replied, "Hi, Raven. I heard about what happened. Your teammates easily lost to my father, but you showed my father who the best fighter is. Well done."

Raven said, "Thank you, but the truth is that I feel like I could have done better."

Rose looked confused, while asking, "What are you talking about? You won the fight."

Raven replied, "That's true, but Slade almost got the upper hand."

Rose started sitting on Raven's bed, while saying, "I don't know how that could have happened. After all, you're a lot more powerful than my father's ever been."

Raven said, "In most areas, that's true, but my emotional strength could use some work."

Rose raised an eyebrow, while asking, "What do you mean?"

Raven started holding hands with Rose, while saying, "Rose, I think it's about time I tell you how I feel."

Rose replied, "You aren't going to get all mushy around me, are you? You know I'm not the mushy type."

Raven said, "Neither am I. I'm almost never sentimental, but when I'm with you, things are different. Rose, you make me feel feelings that I've never previously had for anybody. I feel secure and safe around you, while also feeling extra happy."

Rose had an amused expression on her face, while replying, "It sounds like you've been on quite the emotional rollercoaster."

Raven smirked and replied, "I know that the same can be said for you."

Rose folded her arms and tried to sound aloof, while saying, "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Raven nudged Rose, while saying, "You love me."

Rose asked, "Don't you think that you're being presumptuous? Sure, you're my bestie, but it's not like I love you with all my heart."

Raven replied, "Then why have you been drawing hearts around pictures of me?"

Rose angrily blushed, while saying, "My father's been going through my diary, hasn't me?"

Raven replied, "He has."

Rose sighed and said, "Now I'm all embarrassed."

Raven said, "Look, Rose, I think it's pretty obvious that there's something going on between us. If we keep ignoring the obvious truth, we'll never be as emotionally strong as we're supposed to be. Can't we just admit the truth?"

Rose replied, "I suppose it's about time that we confessed to each other. However, I'm not confessing anything before you."

Raven said, "If that's the way you want to play it, that's fine by me. Rose, I love you."

After a brief moment of reluctance, Rose replied, "I love you, too."

Raven said, "Wow, we both finally admitted it. That's a big step in our relationship. So, what happens next?"

Rose kissed Raven on the lips and replied, "That's what's next."

Robin, Starfire, Cyborg and Beast Boy started walking by, so they could check up on Raven. Since Raven's door was still destroyed, the Titans were able to see Raven kissing Rose. Robin and Starfire gasped, while Cyborg and Beast Boy laughed.

Rose turned around and said, "Looks like we got company."

Raven angrily stared at her teammates, while saying, "Get out of here!"

Starfire said, "I have a spare door in my room that you can use."

Raven replied, "That would be appreciated." Starfire walked away, so she could go get the spare door.

Cyborg had an amused look on his face, while saying, "Raven's fallen in love."

Raven put her arm around Rose, while replying, "That's true."

Beast Boy raised his eyebrows, while saying, "Woah, she's not denying it."

Raven smiled and replied, "That's right. I've learned that lying about something so obvious was a waste of my time. Also, I won't let your teasing continue to bother me."

Cyborg looked disappointed, while saying, "That means that we won't have as much fun making fun of her."

A few minutes later, Starfire returned with the door. She started installing it, while saying, "After I've finished getting this door up, Raven and Rose will have all the privacy that they need."

Raven replied, "Thank goodness."

Robin looked at Rose, while saying, "I still don't trust you."

Rose replied, "That's your problem, not mine."

Robin glanced at Raven, while asking, "How could you befriend the daughter of a supervillain?"

Raven answered, "I'm also the daughter of a supervillain. Also, didn't Batman date the daughter of a supervillain?"

Robin sighed and replied, "I suppose those are good points."

After Starfire finished installing the door, Raven quickly closed the door. She looked back at Rose, while saying, "We're finally free from the nosy antics of my friends."

Rose replied, "That's great."

Raven started smiling, while saying, "So, should we resume our little date?"

Rose smiled back, while replying, "Sounds great."

Raven asked, "Does this count as our first date?"

Rose replied, "Right now, I could care less about math. I just want to be with you."

Raven responded, "Me, too." Raven and Rose started kissing each other. They were so happy that could finally be honest around each other that neither of them paid attention to the time. They didn't know if they had been kissing for minutes or hours. All that they knew was that they were happy.

The next morning, Robin, Starfire, Cyborg and Beast Boy were having waffles in the kitchen. Robin kept getting annoyed at Cyborg and Beast Boy, because they kept getting syrup on the floor.

Starfire said, "I wonder how Raven's date with Rose went."

Robin replied, "I'm sure it went fine, but I still don't feel comfortable around Rose."

Cyborg said, "All that I know is that we won't have as many jokes to make about Raven if she keeps being so open with her emotions."

Starfire replied, "Maybe not making so many jokes about Raven will work out for the best."

Cyborg responded, "But I love making fun of my friends!"

A few minutes later, Raven floated by, while looking happier than usual. She grabbed a waffle, while saying, "Hi, guys."

Starfire asked, "How did things go with Rose?"

Raven said, "Everything went great."

Robin said, "You know, I never had Rose leave. Did she quietly sneak out the window?"

Raven smirked and answered, "Not exactly."

Suddenly, Rose, who was wearing one of Raven's robes, walked by and said, "Good morning, Titans."

Robin raised his eyebrows, while asking, "What is she still doing here?"

Raven put her arm around Rose, while saying, "Rose won't be leaving anytime soon. I asked her to be my new roommate."

Starfire looked happy for Raven, while saying, "Wow, you and Rose are already living together. This is a really big step in your relationship."

Robin angrily said, "Hold on."

Rose sighed and asked, "What's wrong?"

Robin put his hand on his hips, while saying, "The Titans Tower is the home of the Teen Titans. I'm the leader of the Teen Titans, so I'm the one that decides who gets to live here."

Raven smirked, while replying, "That might be true, but you have no jurisdiction on who lives in my room. As long as I'm living here, so will Rose." Robin started ranting, but Raven ignored him because she was too busy being happy with the love of her life.
