Chara hated humans.

In fact she despised them so much she tried to kill herself to escape them, but as you may know, this failed. She instead found herself in the underground, a civilization without humans!

She was taken in by the dreamurs as a sister to Azriel and loved every minute of it ( not that she'd ever show that). They showed her more kindness than she felt she deserved and wanted to repay them.

If only she knew how…

She had it. How she was to repay them, that is. It had Been 4 years since she fell, and was now 14.

2 months ago, her and Azzy had tried to make Asgore a butterscotch pie. Key word being tried. Rather than using butter, they had put in buttercups ( which, in hindsight, was not the brightest move, Chara thought). Through this, Asgore fell gravely ill, and Toriel had to explain how they were poisonous, and not to do it again as it could kill him.

While this certainly shook them up a bit, it gave chara an idea. While she was in the underground, as her parents were king and queen, they often didn't have the time to be with the two and so she often found herself reading books in the library (in Snowdin).

There she found out about souls, and how boss monsters can absorb human souls. She also found out that the barrier could be crossed if a monster absorbed a human soul and could break it with 6 more.

This was her plan.

"I - I don't wanna Chara! I-I really don't like this plan! " Azriel stuttered out a response, pulling on his ears. 'God, this is going nowhere!' Chara thought as she flashed a reassuring grin "come on Azzy, I've done my research, it'll be fine! I'll be fine! The only difference is that I'll be in your head rather than here! And stop crying, you big 'kid'! "

He let out a smile at that. "O-ok"

"Then let's go get some buttercups"

'AZRIEL YOU NEED TO FIGHT BACK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING' Chara screamed into the goat boy's head.

"N-No I-I-I'm scared C-Chara," he protested " Maybe they a-aren't b-bad"

"ALL HUMANS ARE BAD! " She panicked "YOU'LL DIE IF YOU DON'T FIGHT BACK! GOD DAMMIT AZZY! "

'We lost' Chara thought as she drifted aimlessly through Waterfall. It had been about a year since she and Azriel died, and she had found out that you don't age as a ghost. Though, she certainly had time to read the rest of those books now…

She was so. Fucking. Confused.

She was just watching Sans annoy the hell out of Papyrus, who was talking to some weird gold coloured (now officially her least favorite color) flower, when she got teleported in front of undyen's house, where she had been almost a week earlier.

That alone wouldn't be too strange as she knew the royal judge, Sans, could teleport (or 'take a shortcut' as he would say). But no, that wasn't all.

When she went back to snowdin, the sign of the library was the one that got replaced, and the Christmas tree wasn't up.

Almost everything was the same, the only things she noticed was that Sans looked just as confused as her and that flower appeared sooner.

Chara didn't know how long it had been. Well only 6 days to an outsider. But thanks to that fucking soulless flower, it had been far longer. For her AND for sans (at least, she thought so anyway. He was pretty good at hiding it if it was affecting him). She didn't care if he was Azriel or not, he was making her (them?) go through hell.

This was her thought process as she closed her eyes, expecting another reset. It was the sixth night after all.

Chara woke up in the ruins and- "Wait, WHAT!?" she exclaimed as she did a double take on her surroundings.

'Is… IsIs it over?' She thought as she tried to leave, only to hit some invisible wall.

"Huh? What is this…?"

She again looked around at her surroundings. "This… this is where I…." suddenly, she heard a thud behind her. She turned around to find a human (who looked eerily similar to her) lying on the bed of buttercups. "Oh great, another one." she said aloud. This was the final human soul Asgore would need to break the barrier and free the monsters.

"Let's see what type of soul this one has… Oh! She has 0 LV and a determination soul, like me!" but then she had did a double take at what she saw "hold on, HOW much fucking determination!? I'm surprised she's still standing, let alone completely solid! Even humans have their limits."

Little did Chara know, this single human would RUIN the underground for ever

God she hated making that face.

Chara stood alone in what seemed like an abyss, alone in an entire kingdom. Almost alone.

"You guys can come out now!" she called out. A handful of monsters walked out of the shadows behind her. Sans, 'Flowy', Monster kid, Napstablook, Mettaton (back in her ghost body), Alphys and some weird melted looking skeleton (she had no idea who it was and they seemed to speak some weird ass language but Sans seemed to know him and speak the same language, so she was fine with him).

"I still can't believe that idiot fell for that," Sans scoffed. "I mean, come on, if skeletons are just sentient bones, why would we bleed?" Chara just shrugged.

"I… I'm sorry I couldn't save more of you guys… I only had enough power to do anything about halfway through waterfall… Which is why I could only save hands over here and Blooky… Undyne helped the kid… Not me… I'm sorry about Undyne… and Papyrus… and your body, Mettaton…"she sniffed, crying slightly by the end of her apology.

"Hey kid it's oka-" Sans was cut off by a sound like glass shattering. The group looked back to see a sunrise where the barrier should have been.

"Wow…" was the collective reaction of the monsters as they gazed upon the warm colors of the spectacle. However, all eyes shot backwards as a cry of agony escaped Chara's lips.

"AAAAARRRRRRGGGHHH!" She screamed as she dropped to her knees, holding her chest as though her soul was being ripped out, which, unbeknownst to anyone at the time, it practically was. "C-Chara…!?" Flowey worriedly asked her, sliding over to her side.

"A-Azzy I -" her eyes suddenly went wide as a brilliant blue light traveled up her body, it disappearing as it traveled from her feet, clothes and all.

With tears in her eyes she reached out "G-guys… Help…"

And with a final fizzle, she was gone.

Chara felt herself land on something warm and soft, (though she had almost forgotten what said feelings were, being a ghost and all for what felt like decades) and with that, passed out from the pain.

In a small, cozy apartment in the city of Musutafu, Japan a certain half asleep, green haired cinnamon roll suddenly felt an extra weight on his stomach.

'Must be Mighty,' he thought as he hugged it softly. 'don't know how he got in here, but just for tonight I'll let him stay'. He once a gain drifted into a deep slumber.

Sorry for the short ass chapter, but this is my first time writing something meant to be read by other people, ever so… deal with it. Hope you're excited for the next part and see you next time. :)
