Kinda funny how this was born from listening to Beyblade Burst music.

Also this an OC-Insert, not a SI.

I awoke to the feeling of a gentle morning breeze that sent a chill down my spine. Enough to force me awake. My eyes snapped open and I was not met with the familiar ceiling of my bedroom. Instead, I was met with trees, lush green leaves obscured the sky, but the sun's rays managed to bleed through, illuminating the forest around me. I sat up with a sudden jolt, and a short scream.

"WHERE ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH?!"

I looked around and processed where I was. This seemed to be some kind of cruel prank--I wasn't in my room, but in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. My heart hammered in my chest and I flinched at the slightest noise. The sounds of birds chirping, and the rustling of leaves.

I calmed my breathing, a tranquil feeling washing over me. There was a soothing feeling about this forest that made me feel at ease, though my caution arose as I started patting myself down. I was confused to find myself fully dressed. I was only in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts when I'd fallen asleep. Whoever dropped me off had dressed me.

Which totally wasn't weird at all...

A pink dress shirt with a black tie, a white shirt, black pants with thin red stripes on each leg, a pink belt with a black stripe at the center and gold buckle, white sneakers with red lines fit to handle any terrain, a black high-collared vest, and a single red square-cuffed red glove on my right hand.

Not what I'd normally wear. But I dig it.

I pat my head and felt a hat resting on top neatly. I took it off, and was met with a black baseball cap with a light pink brim, and a halved circle of the same color etched onto the center of the cap, with a smaller, round circle in the middle.

Again, not what I'd usually wear.

"Weird..." I muttered under my breath and blinked, resting the cap on my head and looking around. Off to the side was a dark magenta backpack with black and white lining, I looked around, to see if anyone were nearby. Assuming they'd left it there. But there was nobody in sight.

I got up and picked the backpack up, inspecting every inch of it, and running a hand along the fabric. I noticed something etched onto the side, and squinted in confusion as I read it aloud, "Silph. Co..."

I stood there in silence, my brows creasing in confusion at the familiarity of the name. I ran the name through my head a few more times, and soon enough, it clicked. Silph. Co. That was a company in... Pokèmon, right? But what was...

... my eyes shot open in alarm and I unzipped the bag with haste, digging into it and fishing for the contents. Feeling a hard plastic material, I tugged it out and noticed a card, an ID card. I came face to face with myself, but there were distinct differences. I looked so much... brighter, and cartoonish, with a broad smile, tan skin, unblemished with boyish features, and bright, daring sapphire eyes, with messy, unkempt pink hair that reached his neck. And he was wearing the exact same hat and clothes I was right now.

I looked more like someone straight out of a cartoon or anime, than real life.

And my hair wasn't pink. It was black!

Apollo Pastel, read the ID in bold. Age 16, Pokèmon trainer.

Pokèmon trainer.

I nearly dropped the ID card out of shock, my jaw slackening in disbelief. I rubbed at my eyes numbly and looked back at the card. Then I pinched myself and felt a jolt of pain. No. This was all real, this was definitely real. What the actual hell just happened? How did I get isekai'd and slammed into a new, yet familiar body?

The strength left my legs instantly as I slumped against a tree, dropping the back and ID onto the ground and cradling my head in my hands. This... this had to be some elaborate prank--there's no actual conceivable way that this is real! Pokèmon is fictional. Made by a video-game company! Multiverse theory be damned, there's just no way this is...

"Fletchling!"

I jolted and looked up to see a small bird chirp and perch itself on a branch. It was not an ordinary bird, the narrow body shape and red and blue feathered coat gave that much away. That was a Fletchling. I was looking at an honest to god Pokèmon. My panic and dysphoria was abated, replaced by childlike wonder and awe as I stared at the mystical creature.

It was oddly animated--not realistic, in the sense where it'd fit in the real world. It had texture, feathers and all, but it was so much more vibrant and alive than any animal could even possibly hope to replicate. The Fletchling picked at it's wings and peered down at me with expressive, black beady eyes. A smile broke out across my face and the bird chirped, before flapping it's wings and flying deeper into the forest.

... that confirmed it. I was actually in the world of Pokémon, and not in some weird fever dream. This was... real.

Well damn.

Instead of panic, or a feeling of imminent dread, excitement filled my very core. I was in the world of Pokèmon. This was like, every kid's dream! Who wouldn't want to be in the world of Pokèmon? To go on adventures, form your very own team, enter the gym challenge, attend contests, and make new friends and rivals?

Of course, it wasn't sunshine and rainbows. There was loads of danger. Megalomaniacs hellbent on destroying the world, godlike beings that could snap you away with a thought. There were a bunch of things that could very well kill you if you weren't careful enough, or just plain stupid. Any sane person would steer away from the trouble.

I couldn't stop an enthusiastic grin washing over my face. But what was life without a bit of danger?

"Audi...?"

I perked up at a soft voice, and turned. I paused as I came face to face with an Audino. The telltale poofy, frilly ears, large blue eyes, and pink and cream coat were a dead giveaway. We stared at each other for a moment in silence, my heart pounding loudly in my ears. Cute or no, a Pokèmon was still a Pokèmon. And I was a fleshy human that could become a red smear mark on the ground from an attack by it.

Which got my adrenaline flowing at the thought of it.

I grinned and raised a hand, letting out a sharp laugh, "Uh--heh, hi there!"

The Audino blinked a couple of times and smiled, raising it's hand--paw? At me, and waving back. "Dino!"

My grin settled into a smile and I couldn't help but laugh at the situation I found myself in. Talking to a Pokèmon. I was lucky they understood human speech. Too bad I didn't know what they were saying back. The only way to tell was through intent and body language.

I'd make do with it, though.

"So! You live here?" I hopped to my feet with a grunt and picked up my ID and backpack. If there was some solace to being stranded on a foreign world with no way of going home, it was that the extradimensional being that dropped me off hooked me up with official identification and materials.

"Di~!" Audino nodded with a coo, smiling politely and gesturing towards the forest. I could spot a few Weedle, Caterpie, and other Bug types scuttling about, along with the occasional Pidgey and Fletchling.

I chuckled and threw my backpack onto my back. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Audino! My name's Apollo."

"Audino!"

I smiled a bit wider and looked down at the Hearing Pokémon, tilting my head. "So, what are you doing way out here by yourself? Is there more of you around here?"

At that, Audino's face settled into a frown, more of a grimace mixed with a pout. It would have been adorable if the sadness wasn't evident in it's eyes. That was a telltale sign, and by Arceus it pained me inside to see such an adorable little thing sad.

"... you get separated from your folk?" it shook it's head. Ah, shit. Don't tell me. "Were you attack by another wild Pokèmon."

It nodded, and my fears were answered. My expression turned blank as the Audino shuffled on it's feet and fiddled with it's paws. This poor thing was attacked by some wild Pokèmon, likely a predator, and was either separated from it's pack in the attack, or, worse, they were killed. The longer I stared, the clearer the emotions were.

In it's eyes were sadness, yes. But there was also frustration, boiling into anger. A whole lot of anger. I didn't expect to see saw raw emotion from an Audino of all Pokèmon--those are the types of Pokèmon you typically see around characters like Nurse Joy. They were passive, and they were healers above all ass. They acted as support. And while they did fight. It was unlikely.

Passive was not what I was seeing in thus Audino's face. And that gave me an idea.

"... Hey." I spoke up and caught it's attention, a small grin crossing my face. "Wanna come with me?"

The Audino tilted it's head with a look of confusion. My grin widened. "You've got a fire in you, I can tell that much. You're angry what happened to your friends. Too weak to stop it, am I right?" it frowned slightly and slowly nodded, and I pushed on. "I'm planning on become a trainer, but I don't have a partner Pokèmon. And I think that you and I could make a good team!"

I held out a hand, smirking. "I'll make you strong enough so you won't have to feel like that again! I'll make you the strongest Audino this world's ever seen. So! You in?"

Audino stared at my hand in contemplative silence for what felt like an eternity. Soon enough, a determined expression washed over it's face and it let out an affirmative cry, grasping my hand with it's paw and shaking it. My grin widened.

Feisty little fella.

"Hell yeah! That's what I like to hear!" I pumped my fist and glanced at my bag, "Now, I don't have any pokèballs, but luckily I've got some cash. We just have to find a town and head to the Pokèmon Center to get some."

Audino nodded and let out a small cry, raising it's paw and walking down the road ahead. I blinked and hastily followed. "Oh yeah, you live here. So you obviously you know where to go."

"Now that I think about it, it's about time I figure some stuff out. Alright!" clapping my hands together drew Audino's attention to me. "Just got a few questions. Shake your head to say no, and then nod to say yes."

It nodded with a look of understanding and I smiled. "You a boy or a girl? I don't really like calling you an it. So! Boy?"

They shook their head. "Alright, lady then. Fine with me! Do you mine if I give you a nickname? Don't feel like saying Audino all the time--was gonna nickname the rest of my Pokèmon anyhow!" she nodded and I rubbed my chin in thought. "Alright..."

"Rosy?" no. "Daisy?" nope. "Amy?" nada. "Elizabeth!" hah! no.

She wasn't feeling any of these names. I had to set up a theme then, that'd make things easier... but what theme do I choose? There's a lot to choose from. Hmm.

Oh! I got it!

"How about~ Tifa!" she peered up at me with an inquisitive stare, cocking her head to the side as if she were pondering it, before nodding happily and letting out a croon. "Tifa it is! Looks like we've got ourselves a theme. Plenty of the names to choose from once we get our team in order."

Now, invisible reader. You may be wondering why I named her Tifa and not something like Aerith. Simple, really! Despite generally being seen as a support mon, Audino knows a surprising amount of physical moves. Or moves associated with physical attacks. And Tifa is known for being the brawler.

... Among other things.

I mean, seriously. Mega Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Drain Punch? The list goes on. Seriously, why is the Audino line capable of learning so many punching moves? Absolutely ridiculous, I tell you!

But that leaves a good amount of potential for Tifa's movepool. I'm gonna have to do some research on where I can find those TMs for her. And figure out how TMs exactly work here... and another thing I'm gonna have to figure out which region I'm in.

I saw a Fletchling a little bit ago, but that doesn't instantly assure me I'm in Kalos. For all I know, I could be in like... Johto or some shit. And that was just a rare sight.

Now, if I was in Kalos, then there's another thing to add to my list.

Find myself a keystone and some Audinite.

[WHITEMAGE]

Tifa really did know where she was going. We ended up in this small town called Camphrier Town, and made a straight bee-line towards the nearest Pokèmon Center. With exactly 10,000 pokèdollars to my name, I was lucky to find out that the currency here worked just like US dollars. Which was good, because I did not know how the other currency systems worked and it was going to be a pain in the ass. Pokèballs cost about 200, and potions 300.

So I bought 5 pokèballs and 4 potions. Which dropped me down to 7,200. Pretty steep drop, but I can always earn money other ways. Pokèmon battles being one, and although the thought of having a real life Pokèmon battle was enough to get my heart pounding, there was still other stuff that took priority before I could go run around and pick fights.

I caught Tifa, with one of the pokèballs I purchased. She preferred remaining outside the ball, though. So I let her be. A quick talk with this center's Nurse Joy - who's absurdly nice and patient by the way - and I got a great deal of information.

So I was in Kalos, for one. Two, I wanted to figure out what kind of continuity I was in. So I asked her about people like Red. Initially she was confused until I elaborated. Come to find out that Red did in fact exist, but he'd long since retreated to Mt. Silver years ago and nobody has gotten word of him since. Some think he's possibly dead, but those are only rumors and theories.

Blue Oak was still the gym leader of Viridian City after Giovanni gave it up and went off the grid. Turns out Gary was Blue's younger brother and has been making waves. If Gary exists, safe to say Ash does too. So I was in a mix of the games and anime, but to what extent, I didn't exactly know. I'd need to research it more. The rest I asked were mundane things like how the Pokèmon Center operated with everything being free. They were funded by the Pokèmon League Administration, or PLA for short, and received money for their rooms that trainers could pay for to spend the night.

A hospital, motel, and store rolled into one? Talk about crazy stuff.

I asked her how I'd register into the Gym Challenge. All it took was putting my ID and credentials into the PLA system and I was good to go. Given my own badge case of my choosing, I went with a black and pink one, just to keep up the theme of my attire.

Nurse Joy was kind enough to even give me some pokèpuffs for Tifa! Seriously, she is way too nice. Makes it easy to talk to her.

After all that was out of the way, I went ahead and went to the PC to look some stuff up. First of which, I typed in people like Ash Ketchum, there was recordings of his battles doing the Unova League and his loss--forums talked about how most of his team wasn't even fully evolved, and a complete downgrade in comparison to the team he had back in Sinnoh.

I didn't disagree. But damn, some of the comments were downright toxic. Cut my boy some slack?

There was also talks about him being involved in the whole conspiracies and events regarding the teams like Plasma, Galactic, Aqua and Magma, and plenty more. A lot of people were beginning to think that he was a trouble magnet, or just cursed by Arceus or something.

Again, can't disagree. One thing's for sure, he's built up quite the fanbase. Unsurprising.

This confirms one thing for me though. If Ash had just lost the Unova League, then that means he's either on his way to Kalos, or already in Kalos. And with him, comes a hotspot of straight up chaos and world-ending calamities. Team Flare is gonna be operating in the shadows with Lysandre at the forefront, and I've no idea if he's gotten his hands on Alain yet--there really isn't much info on the web regarding the guy.

Next thing was pokèdexes. There was really only two ways of getting them. Becoming a sponsored trainer for the regional professor, or buying them. And they weren't exactly mass produced--so they cost a lot of money. Like. More than I'd be able to make in years type of money--and I wasn't going to get sponsored anytime soon. Which meant that I wasn't getting a pokèdex anytime soon, either.

Which sucked ass, because the pokèdex not only documented information about the Pokèmon you find, but it acts as a phone, gps, keeps track of your Pokèmon's health, and a boatload of other features that were extremely useful for a trainer's journey.

I would have been more bummed out, it I didn't have a boatload of knowledge of Pokèmon backed up in the deepest recesses of my brain from years of following the games, anime, and manga. But still, would have been real convenient.

With my research done, I frequented to the courtyard out in the back. It was wide and spacious, and practically empty. Not a lot of trainers were around to begin with, so I guess that were expected. Fine with me, though. That meant me and Tifa could focus on our current task.

"Alright," I shrugged off my backpack and rested it near a tree with some shade, clapping my hands to get my Pokèmon's attention. Still felt surreal I had my own Pokèmon. "First things first, let's see what moves ya got, Tifa. Mind giving me a demonstration?"

Tifa nodded with a frankly adorable determined pout and pumped her fist, stepping a good few feet away from me. Her paws shined with white energy and she jabbed at the air a couple of times with deceptive swiftness. A pause, as the energy dissipated, she closed her eyes with a frown, and snapped them open. Bright blue eyes sparkled like stars and I blinked incredulously as I felt the sudden urge to give up all of my belongings and give her the tightest of hugs.

Next, she held up her hands, her ears bouncing and jingling with a gently chime as a soft green energy emanated from her paws and stretched outwards. The moment it touched me, I felt as though I was rejuvenated. A surge of energy and vitality washed over me and I couldn't stop myself from letting out a gasp of shock. Finally, Tifa turned to face the nearest tree and took in a sharp breath. As her cheeks puffed out, her eyes shined and she shrieked.

I had to cover my ears and restrain a wince at the blaring noise that left her mouth as pink colored sound waves shot out and slammed into the tree, vibrating and distorting before exploding in a shower of pink dust, sparkles, and bark. I lowered my hands with wide eyes and let out a low whistle.

"Pound, Baby Doll Eyes, Heal Pulse, and Disarming Voice." I grinned and looked back towards Tifa. "Not bad! You've got a pretty good moveset going."

I don't think she understood what a moveset even was, but she seemed to appreciate the praise nonetheless and I couldn't help myself as I reached down and pat her on the head, smiling at the delighted coo that left her lips.

"Alright. Time to start getting to work. I want you to practice using Pound and Disarming Voice, get used to punching and increasing your striking power with Pound, and increase the power and range behind Disarming Voice. Take breaks when you get tired, and once you've got enough energy, do it again."

Tifa nodded and got to work almost immediately. I smirked. She was one determined Audino, that was for sure. Audino normally wouldn't be someone's pick for a competitive team, primarily for offensive means, used as support with abilities like Regenerator, and moves like Healing Wish. Little did they know, I just came across the bane of all man in the form of a pink mouse... thing.

One thing's for sure though.

Nobody is ready for what I've got in store.

One funky lad with a potential few screws loose and a feisty Audino become partners and are about to take the world by storm! Will they save the world or destroy it?

Let's be honest. Probably gonna end in fire and brimstone.

STAY TUNED!
