Chapter 28 We Go Down

Izzy's POV

As we were doing our Regionals routine, it's our first dance off and I you're awesome right now performing in front of all these people. In this first round, we are up against Pearl Dance Academy. Teams compete one on one and the judges of war scores. That's when we all walked onto the stage.

"once again, the judges have arrived and made their decision... The never dance has scored 86 points." The announcer exclaimed as we all clap our hands.

They scored 86 points in the first round which is pretty good.

Announcer's POV

"Now, Carl Dance Academy is coming out to face the judges." I said.

If they score higher than 86 points, then never dance is cut immediately.

"Oh my goodness, Pearl Dance Academy scores 84 points. I'm sorry guys but unfortunately you're eliminated from the competition." I told Pearl Dance Academy.

"Which means, the never dance winds this round!" I congratulated the never dance.

Izzy's POV

I am so happy we won our first round. Now, we just have to win four more head to head dance offs and then will be the Regionals champions. I just hope we win. Because if we do, Jake is going to have a good surprise at the end.

Mike Benderson's POV

"First round Dance off continues here at the absolute dance regionals." I exclaimed while looking at the camera.

Bart's POV

Watching some of the other dance teams is kind of boggling me because, every dance team is really good. It's way better than last year.

"SlayDance Academy is moving on to the second round and OG is illuminated from the competition." Mike said.

Mike's Benderson's POV

"The competition continues to whittle down and it's going to be even tighter from this point out.

"The Mer Dance Academy with the highest score so far gets a total of 91 points." The announcer announced.

"The Mer Dance Academy certainly showed off their mettle with an impressive 10-point win over. Tips in time. And they're off to the second round.

"I'm excited, they are one of my faves." Michelle told me.

"In their second dance off the never dance scores 87 points and they're off to the second round." The announcer said.

Lisa's POV

The biggest competitors are definitely Sea, and Mer Dance Academy. The Mer Dance Academy, they're one of our nemesis right now.

"Earlier today, reporter Millie Smith, spoke with The Mer Dance Academy Captain Marina.

Marina's POV

"So tell me about a memorable thing for you in your career Marina." Millie said.

"Um, definitely last year because of the never dance coming and competing against us and knowing that they wanted to beat us so bad. Justin Bieber made it so much better." I told him.

"And really in my opinion it's really it's their title to lose." Michelle exclaimed.

"You know Michelle Michelle levied at just Dance group because well, they come across as cocky.

"You know what? I don't know if it's cocky so much as confidence." Michelle explained.

"You know they definitely are competitors." I told her.

"It's a one thing to talk the talk, quite another thing to walk the walk." I said.

"Well, The Mer Dance Academy has been walking and talking to three straight regional titles." I said.

Izzy's POV

As we started to look at who we're competing against, Owlette started to say something to me.

"So let me get this straight, we're just waiting to get on stage to qualify for the semifinals? Is my hairpiece in tight enough?" Owlette asked.

"Please turn your head around. Can you relax? We're going to be fine." I told her.

"But I feel like my hair isn't done right, that's what I'm put on more makeup. I only have one shoe I lost a shoe!" Owlette exclaimed.

"Izzy, good?" Jake asked.

"Yeah good!" I answered as I padded his costume.

"You forget your dance then you remember, then you forget to put on makeup, then you forget your jazz shoes it's just like craziness before you get on stage." I told her while Bart was chilling on his phone, and everyone else in the group is going crazy.

"Hey Izzy my love, you look good." Jake said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah. Actually, you have more than good you look hot!" Jake exclaimed.

Jake telling me that I look good then hot is...it's nice of him.

"Thanks Jake!" I thanked him as I kissed his lips.

"No problem, my sweet Izzy." Jake exclaimed.

We were now about to go on stage.

"Good luck!" Peter told us.

"Yeah, good luck guys!" Red Jessica exclaimed.

Peter's POV

"You can do this guys I know you can." I said.

Dance jazz is doing a lot better than we expected. The not exactly known for being amazing, but right now...they are.

"In the third round, dance jazz scores 85 points." The announcer announced.

"Next up competing against the dance jazz, for the semifinal spot is the never dance." Red Jessica and I heard of the announcer announced as we both cheered.

"Come on guys do it!" Red Jessica shouted.

"Keep your heads up." I reminded them.

Dance jazz is a great Studio but Izzy thinks they got this one in the bag. But never dance started to get in their first position.

Michelle's POV

"Omg, the never dance by kicking it into high gear, I'm expecting some of their best dancing!" I said.

"So let's see how never dance fares." Mike said

"At this point in the competition. Something like that can really throw the score. So I mean she must be feeling all sorts of horrible right now." Michelle explained.

"In your experience, is that a difference marker?" I asked.

"Absolutely you know..." Michelle exclaimed.

"Really?" Mike wanted to know.

"Yes." I answered.

"And the judges have came to a decision.

Peter's POV

"Smile! Come on guys! smile! Be positive let's do this!" Red Jessica and I both told the team as Owlette heard us.

"And their third round the never dance scores 84 points which means they're eliminated sorry guys." The announcer announced.

The team couldn't believe it they scored 84 points and got eliminated as they got off the the stage and looked at Owlette.

The never dance were not very happy since they got eliminated.

"Hey guys, great job don't worry about it." Red Jessica exclaimed.

Owlette's POV

I was sitting on the chair feeling really awful right now since I got our team eliminated. That's when everyone walked over to me.

Izzy's POV

As I started to crouch down like a big sister to Owlette's level, she lifted her head to face me.

"Guys my hand got caught in it...and then it fell out and we lost because of me." Owlette explained.

"Owlette..." I called.

"We just lost and got eliminated!" Owlette exclaimed as she put her hand out.

"Owlette..." I called her name again trying to get her attention as I put arms down.

"Hey it's okay these things happen." I told her.

"But we were so close." Owlette explained some more.

"It's fine Owlette, we all gave it our best shot." I told her as I placed my hand on her arms and rubbed it.

Right now this makes her so upset.

Yeah sure Owlette let the team down, she let everyone down but these things happen. But it's not the end of the world

"And now we lost! We lost it all!" Owlette said.

"Owlette, everyone was great okay? You gave it all. It happens and there's nothing we can do about it right now." Peter told her.

"Peter's right Owlette, don't let yourself down on this. What you did was an accident it happens to everyone." Red Jessica exclaimed.

"Look you can't do this yourself okay?" I said as I put my hand on her chin to look at me.

"You just can't." I told her.

"Why is everyone so upset?" Bart exclaimed.

"Bart Simpson, really?" Peter exclaimed with his hands on his hips as Bart smiles.

"Because uh last time I checked...we have a chance in getting the wild card spot." Bart said as I put my hands on Owlette's shoulders.

"You see?" I told her.

"Flittering feathers, I completely forgot about the word card." Owlette exclaimed.

"That's true." Finn said.

"And we're going to get it so..." Bart exclaimed.

"You know what? For once Bart is right. We work too hard not to make it to Nationals." I said.

"Absolutely." Stormy exclaimed.

"Guys, I am so sorry." Owlette apologized.

"Stop, Owlette." We all told her to stop as I was rubbing her head while Bart was laughing.

Jake's POV

Art and dance are going head to head with The Mer dance Academy in this round to see which one of them will make it to the semifinals. The Mer Dance Academy have already won two rounds in their bracket, and they only have to win one more to move on to the semifinals. As art and dance were done the audience were cheering and clapping.

"Wow that was ethereal orchestral that was something else to behold." Mike exclaimed.

"You know they are innovative, and they are fresh they are contemporary at its best." Michelle told him.

"The Mer Dance Academy is looking really good." Mike exclaimed.

"Well Mike, to be honest they really are one of my favorite teams." Michelle explained more.

"They are time after time just on point. So I'm just really excited to see what they pull out here." Michelle said.

The Mer Dance Academy started to walk out on stage.

"Well, they certainly hasn't disappointed the crowd have they?" Mike asked.

Mike's POV

"Absolutely not, Mike!" Michelle said.

"As they gun for a fourth straight regional title." I told her.

"So, Mike, let's take a look." Michelle said.

"Okay okay!" Mike answered.

The Mer Dance Academy have started their dance.

"Already the way they take the stage is...truly they're professionals." Michelle exclaimed.

"It's like an occasion The Mer Dance Academy's dance impeccable." I said.

"I mean they're exceptional the choreography the tricks. Their technique alone should win them this home competition." Michelle exclaimed.

"Then look like a team that is primed for a fourth..." I told her.

"And the audience..." Michelle said.

"...Regional, championship, they love it." I exclaimed.

"You can just hear it!" Michelle said.

After the Mer Dance Academy was done the audience started to cheer and started to give them a standing ovation.

"The Mer Dance Academy's dance seems to just be getting better and better everytime they perform it.

The Mer Dance Academy has scored 94 points." The announcer exclaimed.

"The Mer Dance Academy dance have defeated art and dance and are advancing to the semifinals!" The announcer told everyone.

Izzy's POV

"Sea scores of 88 is enough to defeat AcroDance and get them to the semifinals round the announcer announced.

"So, that's a pretty good score right off the bat, you know heading into the semifinals." Michelle explained.

"The three troupes that have made it into the semifinals are... The Mer Dance Academy, Sea, and SlayDance." Mike exclaimed.

The fourth contender will be wild card winner ams let me tell you it's a debate that's been long-held in the spots world. Traditionalists hate anything to do with wild card." Mike said.

"This is my favorite part of the competition, because it's really just all the dancers are waiting for that second chance." Michelle explained.

Michelle's POV

"And I mean my heart is pounding. I am nervous for them because it's really it means everything you know to get into these semifinals." I said.

"Well the never dance, and Acrodance, and Art and Dance please take the stage." The announcer announced as they all took the stage.

The wild card spot is decided by the judge.

"It's a really crying shame that one of these teams two teams of these teams are going home." Mike exclaimed.

"Absolutely, but how exciting for the team that gets that wild card." I told him.

Izzy's POV

Our team was huddling up together.

"All right guys this is it this is our last chance. If we don't get this wild card spot, we are literally definitely going home and it was a waste of a year." I told them.

"So in this case, I don't want any of you to screw this up." Jake yelled.

"Izzy, Jake is looking at me, like he's about to kill me or something." Owlette told me as I smacked Jake across the head.

Finn, helped Sea get to the semifinals just because they wanted to base us. But now we might not even get a chance. This is just kind of ironic to me. Waiting for the news about the wild card spot.

"Ladies and gentlemen the judges have made their decision and the troupe that will be facing Sea in the semi-final round is...The never dance." The announcer announced as we all cheered.

Izzy's POV

Jake started to give me a really big bear hug as he then spun me around and we shared a big kiss with each other. Then everyone hugs each other and jumps in the air, as we cheered.

"The never dance, what a trip they are on." Mike exclaimed.

"They did that well!" Michelle said.

We all got into a group hug.

"The phoenix rises The Little Engine that could did sending them to the semifinals." Mike exclaimed.

The audience cheers and gives us a standing ovation, along with my handsome boyfriend Jake doing a flip. Bart does the same thing, and the two boys do a handshake.

We the girls, hugged each other.

We all run out to Red Jessica and Peter Pan and hugged them both. Sea runs to us and high fives us. Finn and Mike hug.

"Oh my goodness Finn, I just want to say to you and your team welcome to the semis." Mike exclaimed.

"I can't wait to see Finn dance for the never dance against Sea team he was dancing for." Mike B exclaimed.

"The drama unfolds in front of us." Michelle said.

"Incredible wow! The never dance moving on to the semifinals at the absolute dance regionals competition." Mike B exclaimed.
