THIRTY TWO - PLANS
Jack walked through the front door around 5 with both children "where is she?" Teddy said as he looked up at Jack "I think she's in the kitchen pal" Jack replied. Teddy ran off to the kitchen "Mummy! Mummy! I made you this!" Teddy said proudly as he held up a drawing he'd done in the air "WOW!" Rose smiled as she looked at it "that's the best drawing I've ever seen! thank you darling!" She smiled at Teddy and took it from him, putting it on the fridge before lifting him up and kissing his head. Jack walked in to the kitchen holding Eliza on his hip "hey" he smiled walking over to her and kissing her gently. "Hi" she responded and stroked his cheek "and hello to you too!" She smiled at Eliza and kissed her head "are you coming?" She held her arms out, Eliza reached forward for Rose before resting her head on Rose's shoulder.
"Should we tell him?" Rose whispered to Jack and looked at Teddy, who was sat at the table colouring. Jack nodded. "Hey Ted, guess what?" Jack said "what?" Teddy looked up at them both "we're going on vacation!" he smiled "a what? What's that?" Teddy looked at them confused. "It's when you go to a new place and you do lots of fun stuff… and guess what? Whilst we're there, it's your 4th birthday!" Rose smiled but Teddy looked as though he was going to cry "what's the matter darling?" Rose looked at him confused "but I don't want to move house" "what? nooo, no, we only go for a little while. We don't move house. When we're done on vaccination we come straight back here, OK?" She stroked his cheek "is Benjamin coming with us?" "No darling, he's too small and we don't want to loose him, so he's going to stay with Maggie whilst we're away and she'll take very good care of him for you" Rose nodded, Jack stood behind her holding Eliza. "OK" Teddy nodded. "Can I take all my teddies?" "No pal, there isn't enough room in our suitcases, why don't you just take Mr Bear? I think he'll have the best time on vacation with you!" "Hmm… OK" Teddy said, unsure.

Rose made them all tea then joined them at the table "how old I am on holiday?" Teddy asked "well what number comes after 3?" Jack replied "erm…" he thought for a minute "4?" He almost asked "well done! Yes, you're going to be 4 buddy" Jack smiled "when is Liza's birthday?" "A few months away yet" Teddy nodded and yawned "have you finished your tea?" Rose asked, to which Teddy nodded "do you want to go to bed? You seem tired" "yes please" Teddy nodded and rubbed his eyes "you put them to bed if you want, I'll tidy up down here" "thank you" Rose replied "are you saying night to daddy, Teddy?" Teddy walked over to Jack "night daddy, love you" he hugged Jack "night darling. I love you too" he kissed his head before putting him down. Teddy walked back over to Rose who passed Eliza over the Jack so he could say goodnight to her too before taking her back "come on" Rose held her hand out for Teddy who took it.
