Oh yeah, I post this fanfic while ago. Almost forgot that I finally post something in this site.

Chapter 11 : Park

It's early in the morning and the sky still pitch dark outside, with street lamps still brighter than the sky, they strolled around the neighborhood. If they come out at noon then they would have attract a lot of attention, especially when their partner is not around. Although their existence is acknowledged, most people still got a hard time accepting their kin into society. No one surprised, not even them, but in the end everyone had to deal with it.

"Come on.. let's just go back, we're gonna get yelled at if we didn't come back now" Beg one of them.

The other one sigh, but he clearly not annoyed when a chuckle followed his sigh. "Really? What are you scared of eh? It's not like she doesn't know how to find you" Impmon pat Gabumon's back a bit, reassuring his friend about this. "Calm down okay~ Plus, who's the one who can't sleep soundly? Hmm?" He said with a smirk on his face.

"I just.. can't, I don't know why I even wake up at this hour" Gabumon not trying to deny that even a little. "Sorry, you must be having a good dream in her arms right? I didn't know where to go and.. I thought you two will sleep on the same room with us"

"I-It's okay! It's okay.. no problem on that" Impmon trying to push away this embarrassing thought, he doesn't want someone else to see his embarrassing state and thankfully it just Gabumon. "You must be sleeping early right? That must be it.."

Gabumon smile comes back when he can tell Impmon didn't mad, but he see him act a bit strange now, like breaking eye contact and looking away. Still, he's more focused on Impmon's question rather than his demeanor. "Ah, that.. I eat too much.." He said with a little chuckle. "But are you sure about this? You're tired right? Why don't we just go back to sleep? After all you did the most work yesterday"

"I said calm down, don't stress this little walk too much. Stop being scared too much, I'm here" Impmon start bragging about himself, but he can back that up with much confidence especially after yesterday fight. "If you worried about Juri, foxy is there and I can bring you back with my.. you know.."

"Oh! You going to fly with your wings!? I heard Ruki mention that last night, but.. I don't recall it quite good"

Impmon stop for a moment, but still keeping his cool. "One day.. maybe I'll show you one day.. but for now, let's go to the park!"

The park was quiet, it should be hard to shake off the eerie feeling for most person and Gabumon isn't any different. Even with Impmon sit beside him on the bench, he still afraid of 'something' that could be lurking up out there. A moment ago was even worse, Impmon trying to get them some drinks and told him to wait on the bench, but he just tag along since he doesn't want to be alone.

"I can get you another one, just tell me which" Offer Impmon, he just picked a random flavor before.

"No no, this one is fine. I just don't like this feelings Impmon. It's too quiet"

Impmon chuckle, he lean on the bench and relax, enjoying the night view of the park. "Calm down, there is nothing here. Just relax and drink that soda"

Slowly but surely Gabumon calmed down, but he still a bit anxious about this place. It's weird to be in a quiet place like this yet Impmon looks calm, his friend just seem to like this place. He move a bit closer to Impmon and lean back to relax, or at least trying his best to calm his mind.

"You good?" Impmon still unsure when Gabumon nod to him, but he can't blame him about this.

"I rather to be in crowded place with friends Impmon, but you seems to like this place"

Taking another sip from the can, he stay silent for a moment staring at the night park. "It's.. special for me" He chuckle. "Back when I just come to this world, well.. you must have known what I do"

Gabumon laugh. "You did naughty things Impmon, Juri told me a lot about it"

"Naughty? Oh please~ If only those humans could see the fun part like me~"

Their laugh continue for a moment, anyone in the park could hear them yet there is none. After that they fall into silent, then sigh can be heard from Impmon. He stare at the sky, before looking down to the park again, and end up taking glance at gabumon. His friend looks concerned about his rather 'weird' act.

"I'm fine, okay" He said, trying to stop Gabumon from worrying too much about him. "Uhh.. why don't we.. I'm happy coming to this world, how bout you?"

"Oh! Of course I'm happy!"

Impmon smile and let out a chuckle, at least changing topic is not as hard as talking to certain someone. He doesn't want to turn this into some kind of ranting or even guilt trip for both of them.

"Why?"

"What do mean why?" A laugh with confused tone comes from Gabumon. "I always want to see this world before, like since that D-Reaper things happen"

"Oh"

"Yes! It's boring just staying at Digital World you know, like..." The imp's eyes darting away from his friend, looking at the park again. "...but well, I've met Juri when I.." It's a peacful night, and the cold breeze tickle his skin, too much in fact. "...so when.." His friend words start to wither away like he just alone from the start.

Impmon keep staring at the empty park—a normal park that's not that much for humans, just another place to go to. It's not like this park gives him much joy either; maybe some, and he can't deny that most of it is just a very short one. Watching blissfully unaware humans scream out of their lungs is always funny; there is no harm to them either. He never actually hit those humans with his fireball.

The park moved a bit, the ground, the trees, everything that's not supposed to move suddenly moving on their own. What was that? He thought. Is he dreaming? Surely not. His dream always been a nightmare that gives him cold sweat after waking up, but this isn't it. Then those things moves again! The ground moves side to side, a bit tilted this time, same goes for the trees and benches above it. What is going on with this park? Impmon starting to think that this just another dream, but at least it's not that dream again.

After the second 'earthquake' Impmon just doesn't care, he treat this as a dream now. Soon Ruki or Renamon will wake him up, he knows that. So he just keep do what he thinks the best for now, staring at the empty park. Out of nowhere, a couple spotted at the park. They look so happy, even from a quite far away he can see their fingers intertwined. That couple laughing from their own chat, just enjoying their night together.

Boom! A fireball explode in front of them, followed by laugh. An Impmon, standing at one of the tree branches preparing for another fireball. The girl scream while the man shocked, that Impmon laugh when the man froze in fear, thankfully the girl snap him back. But that Impmon about to throw the second fireball. "Wait! Don't!" Impmon screamed but he's too far, he doesn't even confident that his voice heard by them.

It's too late anyway, the fireball already thrown and about to hit the couple. When it hit a bright flash of light blinded Impmon, and he covers his eyes with his arms by reflex. "Impmon.." His body shaking, it the explosion that big? Surely not, right? That Impmon is just like him, a low level Digimon. "Impmon, Impmon!"

The vision of couple, another him, and the explosion is gone. Nothing happened, what he can see is Gabumon's worried face. "Eh?" Gabumon hug him, still shaking his body a bit. "What are you doing here?"

"What?" Gabumon frowned and let go of his hug. "Impmon, you blankly stare to nothing when I talking, is it that boring?"

"Huh, no! Of course not I just, just.. just.." Impmon sigh. "Sorry, I just.. the explosion.."

Impmon looked in that direction again; the sun blinded him. He can think clearly now, the shake, the blinding explosion. He cover his face in frustration. A pat on his shoulder slowly calming him down.

"Let's just go back for now, before we get in a real trouble"

"Impmon, about that.."

Uncover his eyes, he can see Ruki, Juri, and Renamon already stand behind the bench they in. Juri even sit behind Gabumon, stroking her partner's pelt fur. Impmon quickly look down, expecting a smack in the head from Ruki, he deserve that. But what he got is gentle pat from Juri. "We just worried that you can't be tracked with digivice, that's all" Impmon take a glance at Ruki and Renamon, they don't seems to be angry, especially Ruki.

Then they walk back to Ruki's house, on the way Impmon surprised no one poking on why he take Gabumon to the park. Maybe everyone already knows, he thought. Renamon not bothering him, Ruki and Juri just talking to each other.

"You must be hungry now" Juri grab Gabumon after Ruki talking about breakfast.

"Not really" Answer Gabumon which surprise Juri, her partner isn't Guilmon but his appetite isn't light either. "We got a drink on the park"

"Drink?" Ruki tilt her head, asking him with serious face.

"You know, from that box with glass thingy"

Impmon quickly run to the house with Ruki chasing after him, and in the end he got a smack in the head, harder than he expected before. Well, he knows he deserves it.

So I write this chapter draft few months ago, but well I forgot and scrap most of it. Got a plan and idea for this fanfic but don't know where to end it, I'll just think about it as this go. Anyhow, I'll post the next one as soon as it's done, cause I'm still trying to fix my english while planning another fanfic with OC. Thanks for reading this~
