The Avengers vs The Regime
Chapter 2: Murder Club meets Batman and The Avengers
It was a beautiful day in Bayview, California. Murder Club finally had a moment of peace after the Simon Says incident. However, they were still giving Maeve the cold shoulder. Right now, they are just focusing on finishing their studies before they graduate, and even better news, they're now on good terms with Vanessa Clark (despite the fact that she knows that they're the ones who killed Jake but it was in self-defense and he was the ringleader behind Simon's death.) Speaking of the amateur Social Media star, she recently got in touch with them and them about and what happened at the graveyard. Hours later, Murder Club met up with Vanessa and saw that Fiona's grave was destroyed.
"Whoa! Who could've done this?" asked Nate.
"No Clue, it's one thing that Fiona was a terrible person like Jake, but I didn't think someone would have the audacity to destroy her grave." said Vanessa.
"I'm sure whoever destroyed her grave may have been the same person who poisoned her." said Addy.
"I'm sorry to ask but, do you think it could've been Maeve?" asked Janae.
"I don't think she would have the guts to do something like this." said Brownyn.
"Well, it's been a month since the Smon Says incident." said Cooper.
"Also, we have been giving her the cold shoulder for a month." said Nate.
"This doesn't excuse her for what she did, she nearly put Addy's life at risk, not to mention Cooper got injured, I got stabbed in the neck." said Brownyn
But then someone came to the scene.
"You might wanna actually consider giving her another chance." said ?
Murder Club and Vanessa looked behind them and saw it was Batman.
"Whoa! Bruce Wayne AKA Batman?" asked Nate.
"The one and only but enough about me, I have some info about this Maeve girl you're babbling about." said Batman.
"What about her?" asked Janae.
"She's joined the Regime." said Batman.
"What's the Regime?" asked Vanessa.
Batman explained who the Regime are. They are led by Superman and then Batman explains how he formed the Regime.
"So this was all because The Joker blew up Metropolis and killed thousands and he drugged Superman and he mistakenly killed his wife and his unborn child?" asked Addy.
"Besides my Traitorous sister, who else is in the Regime?" asked Brownyn.
Batman explained who else is in the Regime, it was Diana Prince AKA Wonder Woman, Nightwing, Black Adam, Sinestro, Hawkgirl, Cyborg, Raven, Bane, Doomsday, Solomon Grundy, Aquaman, Alison DiLaurentis, Mona Vanderwaal, and the Perfectionists (Ava Jalali, Caitlin Park-Lewis, and Dylan Walker).
"Those last five, what's their backgrounds?" asked Cooper.
Batman explained who the last five are and what they did recently in the last story "Injustice in Beacon Heights."
"The Professor reminds us of Simon Says." said Nate.
"Melinda Murray was their Simon Says." said Batman.
"Let me guess, they killed her right?" asked Vanessa.
"Bingo, afterwards, The Regime took the PLLS and the heroes prisoner while they wreak Havoc in Beacon Heights." said Batman.
"Self-defense is one thing but to take someone's life just for revenge, I'm not saying this to be hypocritical but there's been enough killing." said Janae.
"We need to stop the Regime before anyone else dies." said Addy.
"I agree, and then we deal with my sister." said Brownyn.
"Vanessa, you don't have to come if you don't want to." said Nate.
"I'm part of the team now right? Besides at least I can keep a close eye on you, I feel a little safer when I'm around you guys." said Vanessa
"Welcome, there's a few others I was able to bring." said Batman.
"Who would that be?" asked Cooper.
"Murder Club, I bring you… The Avengers." said Batman as the Avengers came to the scene. It was Tony Stark/Iron Man, Steve Rogers/Captain America, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Thor, Bruce Banner/Incredible Hulk, Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver, and his sister Wanda/Scarlet Witch.
"Oh my goodness! It's the Avengers." said Vanessa as she was excited to see them.
"Autographs later, let's get down to business Bruce Wayne, what did you find?" asked Tony.
"My sources tell me some of the heroes have been taken captive. Them and the PLLS (Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily)." said Batman.
"I for one don't agree with what Superman has done, not one bit." said Captain America.
"Anyway, it's time to act. First, we go to the fortress of Solitude and save the other heroes and the PLLS." said Batman.
"And then we take down the Regime once and for all." said Tony.
