[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]
For a few days, Kentarou and Ainz began their training, both with their own intentions in their minds.
For Kentarou, he wanted to save Miki. Obviously because he believed he didn't have much strength he required some training with Ainz.
For our Overlord, the protagonist?
It's to familiarize with how he swings his swords like those swordmasters in Anime he barely watched and briefly enjoyed back in Earth just before he was hooked to his work and the game he loved dearly, and also by thinking about how Warrior Takemikazuchi, Touch Me, and other physical fighters of his Guild fought and possibly imitating them.
In a way, it was the best way to keep remembering about his dearest friends.
With Nikkou, despite it acting strange again like trying to tickle him with no way of it even succeeding, he began to fight Kentarou for a few days.
Basically, he taught him whatever he had experienced in YGGDRASIL, just twisting them enough for him to be fine.
"Always keep moving, always be on the offensive, look for the weakpoints of your enemy. And at least try making up good techniques that would shift the tides of battle to your advantage. Most of all, don't hesitate to use dirty tactics and let go of some of your honour." Ainz advised Kentarou, who at least tried to follow his advice.
"Use dirty tactics? N-no way!" Kentarou replied, yet his head was grabbed by Ainz and he, once again was forced to bit
e the dust.
"Your enemy is stronger than you, more experienced than you, and is better than you in any way! That's why you need to get better! If not, what will the result of your efforts be!?" Ainz yelled out, before taking a short breather to let Kentarou stand up.
"You're a fool..."
Noobs like him are not that irritating, but there's a limit to his irritation, you know. He could just leave him alone and explore the world by "cancelling" this mission, but... he was still curious about what the rewards are if he did clear it.
In the end, Kentarou reluctantly sat down to the grassy ground. He'd been like this for only 3 days since he began training under him, and of course he's become stronger now.
The next day will be the end of his rather short training session, where they will definitely approach the castle of the Archfiend soon.
"Miki... wait for me..."
A flame was rekindled. Now it was even brighter than before.
"Here I come, Momon! I'll definitely defeat Dracula, by first passing your tests!"
He wasn't successful at all.
Meanwhile in another place, the Fiend Ramon had laid on his own bed, his mind cracked and blood coming out of his eyes, nose, and ears as the result of trying to observe Ainz at his true form.
He was recovering quickly for a few days, yet his mind? Barely.
The Fiends may have an incredible regeneration ability along with being able to withstand injuries too dangerous for any normal mortal, but their minds can still be broken.
Ramon C. Burksham was recovering from a vegetative state, almost blankly looking at the ceiling as his soul was becoming more and more eroded due to the immense feeling of despair given to him by trying to look further and further into Ainz's soul.
More importantly, Archfiend Gai had arrived to his room, with his sword in hand. He seemed completely intent on something, as he raised his weapon to prepare to kill him.
But...
"... My king... have you finished... passing your title?" Ramon weakly spoke, as Gai nodded before answering him.
"Right now she's asleep. But the moment she wakes up is when she fully becomes the new Archfiend whose name will be Little Princess." Between his words, he felt regretful for making such a decision that was forced into him by his current circumstances.
And due to passing his title through his blood, he has become an ordinary human once more.
"Hopefully, she wouldn't become like Archfiend Gele who will enslave the entire humanity a thousand years ago." Gai hoped that wouldn't be the case, though...
"Now... I give you my mercy."
