Corvus, once a beautiful planet covered with trees and plants had now been reduced to nothing but a dead wasteland lead by the Magistrate. She had sent her men to hunt down two legendary heroes. In the dead forest we see the soliders being chased by two hooded figures. One of them wielding two white bladed lightsabers while the taller one was fighting with two light blue bladed sabers. The soilders tried to kill the hooded figures but they were eventually taken out one by one.
"Show yourselves... Jedi" The Magistrate said. The two figures ignited their blades and one revealed to be a middle aged Tortuga with an armored head band on her head. The other revealed to be a young man in his mid 20's with crismon skin and white markings on his forehead and was wearing red mandalorian armor. Their names were Ahsoka Archer and her son Hunter.
"I've been expecting you both" The Magistrate said.
"Then you know what we want" Ahsoka said
"You will learn nothing from me" The Magistrate said.
"You act like you have a choice" Hunter growled "We have ways of making you talk" The Magistrate then brought forth one of her prisoners forward.
"How many lives is the knowledge I possess worth to either of you?" She asked with a smug expression. "One? Ten? How about a hundred? The lives of these citizens mean nothing to me. And now, because of you two. These people will suffer."
"You are one sick twisted bitch" Hunter said.
"They suffer under your rule" Ahsoka said "Surrender, or face the consequences"
"You have one day to decide" Hunter said pointing one his sabers at the tryant. "If you don't surrender, we will come for you"
Ahsoka and Hunter then deactivated their sabers and disappeared into the night.
An hour later Hunter and Ahsoka set up their campsite. Hunter looked into the campfire and started having flash backs about the purge on Mandalore a few years back as the feeling of guilt washed over him.
"What's bothering you?" Ahsoka asked
"Did the Force tell you something was bothering me?" Hunter asked
"Not the Force. A Mother's instinct" Ahsoka said making her son chuckle.
"Hunter you can't blame yourself for what happened on Mandalore"
"I was their king mom" Hunter said looking towards his mother.
"It was my job to look out and protect the people and I failed"
"Even great leaders aren't perfect Hunter. If Anakin were here he could tell you that first hand" Ahsoka said "You need to stop beating yourself and find a way to fix it. Not just for you or Sabine but Axel as well. I don't want my grandson growing up thinking his father is a failure when he has the power to fix another mess caused by the Empire"
Hunter then smiled at his mom knowing she was right. "Thanks mom, I needed to hear that"
"No problem" Ahsoka said smiling at her son.
"I bet you saying grandson made ya feel old huh?" Hunter joked.
"I maybe old, but I can still kick your ass" Ahsoka said as the mother and son shared a laugh.
The next day Hunter was woken up from sensing a powerful presence in the Force. Ahsoka sensed it as well.
"Someone is coming" Ahsoka said as she hid on top of a tree while her son hid behind a boulder.
They then see a Mandalorian wearing silver beskar armor walking towards their location.
"You hear that?" Hunter heard the Mandalorian asked.
"Who's he talking to?" Hunter said to himself. He then couldn't believe what he saw next. The Mandalorian pulled a baby alien out of his pouch. The baby was the same same species as Yoda only much more adorable
"So that's who I've been sensing" Hunter thought to himself.
Hunter than watched his mother come out of nowhere and attack The Mandalorian with her sabers but his beskar armor was protecting him.
While they were fighting Hunter slowly made his way toward the baby. The child then turned to face the man as Hunter sensed some fear coming from him.
"It's ok little one. I'm not here to hurt you" Hunter said. Much to his surprise the baby reached out to him as if he wanted Hunter to pick him up. Hunter then gently picked up the baby as he cooed with happiness.
"Ahsoka Tano!" The Mandalorian said which caught Hunter's attention. "Bo-Katan sent me. We need to talk"
"I hope it's about it's about him" Ahsoka as the Mandalorian saw Hunter holding the child.
"Put him down now!" The Mandalorian said aiming his blaster at Hunter.
"Easy cowboy. I'm with her" Hunter said nodding to Ahsoka.
"You know him?" The Mandalorian asked.
"Yes" Ahsoka replied "He's my son"
Later that night after setting up camp, Ahsoka was alone with the child while the Mandalorian and Hunter watched.
"What is she doing?" The Mandalorian asked.
"She's connecting with the child" Hunter said "Learning about his history. About where he comes from, why he's here... and what his name is"
"That armor" The Mandalorian said looking at Hunter. "Where did you get it?"
"This armor was a gift from my wife and her family" Hunter said
"Your wife is Mandalorian?" The Mandalorian asked.
"Yes, and so am I on my father's side" Hunter said extending his hand. "Name's Hunter Archer"
"Din Djarin" Din said shaking the younger man's hand. Ahsoka then walked over to the two men and sat on a log while they did the same.
"Is he speaking?" Dijn asked. "Do you understand him?"
"Yes" Ahsoka said "Grogu and I can see each other's thoughts"
"Grogu?" Din asked as the child looked at him.
"Obviously that's his name" Hunter said smiling at Grogu.
"He was raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant" Ahsoka said "Many masters trained him over the years. At the end of the Clone Wars when the Empire rise to power, he was hidden. Someone took him from the temple. Then his memory becomes...dark. He seemed lost. Alone."
"I know how that feels" Hunter said "Trying to block out bad memories to avoid the pain"
Ahsoka placed her hand on her son's lap to comfort him.
"I've only known one other being like this" Ahsoka said "A wise Jedi Master named Yoda. Can he still wield the Force?"
"You mean his powers?" Din asked
"The Force is what gives him his powers" Hunter said "It's an energy field created by all living things. To wield it takes a great deal of training and discipline"
"I've seen him do things I can't explain" Din said "My task was to bring him to a Jedi"
Hunter then looked toward his mother with concern. He knew full well Ahsoka didn't consider herself a Jedi anymore.
"The Jedi Order fell a long time ago" She said
"So did the Empire but it still hunts him" Din said. "He needs your help"
"Mom we can't turn Grogu away from this" Hunter said "He needs to be trained in order to fully understand his abilities"
Ahsoka took a minute to think about what her son said.
"I'll test him in the morning" Ahsoka said.
The next day Ahsoka and Hunter took Din and Grogu out to secluded area of the Planet so they could observe what Grogu could do.
"Let's see what knowledge is lurking inside that little mind" Ahsoka said booping Grogu's nose. Din then put Grogu down onto a log.
"Alright little buddy. Let's try something simple" Hunter said as he picked a small stone and used the force to gently make it float towards Grogu. Grogu then caught it with his tiny hands and let out a cooing sound.
"Alright Grogu, now return the stone to me" The youngervman said but Grogu wouldn't do it.
"He doesn't understand" Din said
"He does" Ahsoka said.
"Something's wrong here" Hunter said as he watched Grogu drop the stone. He walked over to the child, got on one knee and gently held Grogu's tiny hand. "I sense so much fear from you little one. You're afraid to use your abilities because of what happened many years ago. You witnessed such a traumatizing event that it scarred you mentally. You've tried cutting yourself off from the force in hopes to never have to relive it again"
Grogu looked up at Hunter as he let out a small tear. Hunter then gently wiped it away with his thumb.
"I know it's hard Grogu, but in order to concur your fear you must learn to face it head on" Hunter said as he stood up. "Din come over here, I wanna see if he'll listen to you"
"That'll be a first" Din said walking over to the younger man.
"I like firsts, good or bad they're always memorable" Ahsoka joked.
"T.M.I Mom" Hunter said with a disgusted tone. He then gave Din the stone. "Ok Din hold this in the palm of your hand and tell him to lift it up"
"All right kid, lift the stone" Din said.
"It might be better if you called him by his name instead of kid" Hunter suggested.
"Grogu" Din said as the child looked up at him. "Come on, take the stone"
Unfortunately Grogu would still not take the stone. "See? I told you he's stubborn"
"Stubbornness has nothing to do with it" Hunter said "He's just afraid that's all"
"Try connecting with him" Ahsoka said.
Then Din got an idea and pulled a small sliver ball out of his belt which Grogu seemed interested in.
"Grogu, do you want this?" He asked Just then Grogu used the force to pull the silver ball to him.
"Good job kid! I knew you could do it" Din said.
Hunter let out a small chuckle making his mother turn to him.
"What's so funny?" She asked.
"Nothing" Hunter said "This just reminds me of when Axel used the force for the first time. I was so proud of him"
"He's formed a strong attachment to you" Ahsoka said. "We cannot train him"
"What? Why not?" Din asked "You've both seen what he can do"
"His attachment to you makes him vulnerable to his fears" Ahsoka said "His anger"
"All the more reason to train him" Din said.
"No" Ahsoka said firmly "I've seen what such feelings can do to a fully trained Jedi Knight. To the best of us"
Hunter looked on with a sad expression on his face. He could sense the pain and sadness coming from his mother because she was talking about Anakin.
"I will not start this child down that path" Ahsoka said "I lost someone I care about that way and I almost lost my son a few times. Better to let his abilities fade"
"Mom, you know damn well you can't expect Grogu to just forget about the Force It's a part of who he is. Like it is us" Hunter said. "If you and dad had just let my abilities fade then I wouldn't be the man I am today. Not without your trainIng"
Ahsoka let out a deep sigh knowing her son was right. She then looked up and smiled at him. "You're so much like your father" She said.
"Look, The Magistrate sent me to kill you both" Din said "I didn't agree to anything. And I'll help you with the villagers, If you see to it the Grogu is properly trained"
"We could use some extra help" Hunter said. "What do you say mom?"
Later Hunter, Ahsoka and Din along with Grogu were walking through the forest discussing their plan.
"She has a small army of guards armed with A350 blaster rifles, two HK-87 assassin droids and a hired gunfighter." Din said.
"Yeah we know this Mando" Hunter said calling Din by his nickname.
"Well, I doubt even all four of your laser swords would be able to protect you from all that firepower." Din said
"True, but believe me when I say we've been through far worse than that" Hunter said smiling.
"Don't underestimate the Magistrate either" Ahsoka said.
"Who is she?" Din asked "She offered me a spear of pure beskar to kill you"
"Morgan Elsbeth" Ahsoka said "During the Clone Wars her people were massacred. She survived and let her anger furl an industry which helped build the Imperial Starfleet. She plundered worlds"
"As you can see she's still doing it" Hunter said. "Did you see any prisoners in the village?"
"I saw three villagers strung up just outside the inner gate." Din replied.
"We must find a way to free them" Ahsoka said.
"A Mandalorian, a Jedi and a Mandalorian Jedi? They'll never see it coming" Din said.
Hunter could practically hear the smirk under his friend's helmet. "Then let's stop talking and kick some ass"
Later that Ahsoka and Hunter made their to the village gate. Ahsoka scaled the wall while Hunter took out the four guards on the ground in a matter of seconds.
"Too easy" He said. He then heard a long bam from the otherside of the gate as he force jumped to meet his mother at the top of the gate.
The mother and son duo then met with Morgan inside the village walls. Her guards were standing behind her ready to fire at they got closer to her. Ahsoka then tossed the peice of Din's armor with the Mudhorn engraving on it to the Magistrate.
"Your bounty hunter failed" She said.
"Now tell us what we want to know" Hunter said stepping forward. "Where is he?"
"I don't know who your talking about" Morgan replied with a smug smirk. "Kill them" Morgan the retreated into her palace walls while her guards started shooting at the mother and son. Hunter and Ahsoka force jump to the top of one of the houses while deflecting laser bolts with their lightsabers. Eventually they took out all the guards and left the leader for Din to deal with. Hunter and Ahsoka jumped over the Magistrate's gate and saw Morgan with the beskar spear in her hand.
"Morgan, how about you make the wise decision and just surrender?" Hunter said "It'll save a lot of time and you humiliation of defeat" However Morgan stood her ground ready to fight.
"Don't say we didn't warn you Hunter said. He and Ahsoka took off their capes and ignites their bblades. Both sides stepped forward waiting to see who would make the first move.
Morgan swung first aiming for Ahsoka but she blocked it without even trying. Morgan then broke the lock and attacked Hunter but he blocked it as well.
"Way too predictable" The younger adult said making Morgan sneer with anger. The three of them kept fight but despite being outnumbered Morgan was holding her own. Hunter then managed to knock her off her feet and attempted to stab her but the Magistrate rolled out of harms way. They kept clashing back and forth until Morgan managed to knock Ahsoka's main saber into the water. A few seconds later Ahsoka then spun her shoto into a reverse grip.
"Oh you're in trouble now" Hunter said grinning. The younger adult stepped back because he knew his mother wasn't holding back anymore. He watched to two women fight until Ahsoka knocked the beskar spear out of Morgan's hand and held the shoto to her neck.
"Now tell us. Where is your master?" Ahsoka demanded but Morgan wouldn't speak.
"I believe she asked you a question" Hunter said getting in Morgan's face. "Where is Grand Admiral Thrawn?"
The next morning the previous village leader took back his position as Ahsoka, Hunter and Din walked up to Din's ship.
"You're like a father to Grogu" Hunter said to the Mandalorian "And from one father to another it can a very rewarding experience. Unfortunately we have our own mission. That's why we can't train him."
"You both made me a promise" Din said "And I held my end"
"There is another possibility" Ahsoka said "Go to the planet Tython. There you will find the ancient ruins of a temple that has a strong connection to the Force. Place Grogu of the seeing stone at the top of the mountain. Then he will choose his path. If he reaches out through the force there's a chance a Jedi may sense his presence and come searching for him. Then again, they're aren't that many Jedi left."
"Thank you" Din said "Both of you" He then entered his ship.
"Hey Din!" Hunter called out as he entered The Mandalorian's ship. "If you ever need help fighting Imperials, don't hesitate to contact me" The younger man then gave Din a holo disk.
"I'll keep that in mind" Din said as he shook Hunter's hand.
"Until we meet again my friend" Hunter said smiling.
"Until we meet again" Din said smiling under his helmet.
"I hope to see you again soon too Grogu" Hunter said gently shaking the child's hand. "Take care my little friend"
Hunter then stepped out of the Razor Crest while he and his mother watched their new friends take off.
"You didn't tell him what you are did you?" Ahsoka asked her son.
"He's got enough on his mind right now" Hunter said "Besides, I have a feeling we'll see him again someday"
"I'm so proud of the man you've become" Ahsoka said hugging her son while he hugged her back.
"Well, I wouldn't be the man I am today without you or dad" Hunter said "Now come on. Let's go find Thrawn, and hopefully we'll find Ezra.
