Chapter One: Waking up as a girl | Waking up as a boy
It was the middle of the summer holidays 1976 when James woke up. He felt very weird and had no idea why. He sat up and took his glasses from the bedside table. Then he looked to the window but it was not night any longer. He also wasn't tiered so he stood up and went to the wardrobe to get clothed.
When he looked into the mirror he screamed in shock.
His reflection was not himself but a dark haired girl. He looked at the girl and moved one arm up. The girl did the same. He touched his forehead the girl did exactly the same.

The same time also Lily stood in front of her mirror and couldn't believe either what she saw. Her reflection was a red haired boy. Also she moved her arms and observed worriedly how her reflection did the same things.
How can this even happen? Is this really my body?
After a few moments her mum came in and asked: "What happened …" She stopped in the middle of her question and said: "Oh…" Lily turned to her and asked: "Am I really a boy right now?"
Her mum nodded but didn't say anything.

When Lily's mother confirmed this also James' mother entered his room and started to ask what happened but stopped after realising what she saw.
After she did she came to James and asked: "Why are you a girl?"
James shrugged his shoulders and said sadly: "I don't know, I woke up like this!"
His mother observed him a few seconds then she said: "Let's directly go to the Sankt Mungo Hospital, maybe they can help you!"
