"The waves are more like static than voices." Marceline said, if he could make proper comparisons.
"It just means there's a message they're trying to send through but it's not coming through the right channel."
"Or the receiving end doesn't have to proper hardware." Marceline pointed out.
Marceline - At least that's what Starchy told me... What do you think buddy?
She looked at Gregory playing with Schwabl the dog.
Marceline – Yep thought as much, you got a lot to unpack. Lyrics like sing, maths to solve, meetings to go to... Gregory do you wanna be like me or Bonnibel?
Gregory looks at her and blinks before booking her on the nose.
That made her chuckle
Marceline – Okay I get it, still too soon.
Princess Bubblegum was currently on a visit to human islanders and their boss, Finn's mom Minerva discussing possible cooperation... Still Bonnie doesn't necessarily trust mayor guy Mallow after those robot attacks but he's behaving better now... With all that, she's leaving Marceline to take care of the baby. Reasons given Marcy's not very good on diplomacy and state affairs unless it's aggressive negotiations maybe, plus those formality dresses just don't go on her.
Marceline - Simon did you make something?
No answer.
Marceline – Simon?
Simon – Oh you asked something?
Simon came downstairs with some papers.
Marceline – Oh I thought you were in the kitchen.
Simon – Yeah sorry, I was just... writing letters. Trying to get my mind occupied.
Marceline – Oh so you followed my advice on writing songs?
Simon – Well I never was a very poetic guy...
Gregory then sits on Schwabl who then rides him over to Simon before passing him
Simon then pats Gregory's hair as he smiles
Simon – Good morning to you Gregory.
Gregory smiles as he then goes to pick up a few papers to show Simon.
Some were adorable...
He was on a picnic with Marcy and their friends in middle of day with ice mountains in background, with no hat on Marceline to keep her in shadow
Yeah Gregory is still a kid, so he doesn't yet know that Vampires amid sunlight won't do.
Some were... puzzling with him running from a red crab? ... with golden hair girl and a cat? Something in this seems familiar to him though he then puts it away as his head gets a bit pained for some reason.
Marceline – Wow go easy on him , he's learning you know.
Simon – No no it's not that... I'm just wandered off somewhere.
Gregory then puts his hands on Simon's face as he played it around trying to get up on his shoulders even.
Simon – Oh haha you wanna ride? C'mere you!
He then carried Greg on his shoulders through the rooms as Marceline decided to look into his letters.
Some parts mentioned the ceremony they started as Ice King redemption campaign... Princess-A-Pology-Pa-Looza...
Some about the wedding she and Bubblegum had shortly after Gregory came in. Starchy was the priest talking the lines, Finn was the best man but Simon organising decorations.
There was also his visit to Ice Thing, Turtle Princess and Gunthers...
Of course she didn't yet look at most important part...

His beloved Betty and how he misses her, his visit to Prizmo didn't give much results unfortunately...
She definitely can make tons of tons out of this, but right now that wasn't on her priority list.
Simon went up and down the house until he stopped
Simon – I hope you liked it. I may get tired so let's take a break...
He looks at Gregory again once he puts him down, this time with nostalgia...
Simon – He ... really looks like you Marcy... maybe its because I didn't see another child for long time but he really does... except he's a bit smaller and a bit plump.
Marceline remembered once when she was in Finn's mind, seeing him as this round ball dancing in bathroom...
That made her laugh a bit
Marceline – Well, I guess that's fine so long as he is growing up doing some action. But I think for today we should go somewhere else for some action.
Simon – Hm? You mean we should take a walk together?
Marceline – Yep I think that's good for us all, Gregory should get outside more often. And you too.
Simon – But isn't it better at evening or night-time?! What I something attacks us and you'll burn there!
Marceline – WOW! Chill out! I'm not a baby!
Gregory then began wailing and yelling at the loud talk
Marceline facepalms
Marceline – Uugh again? You know for 2 weeks we tried to calm him without sleeping ourselves. I hope this one won't be that long...
Simon – Well just so you know I didn't exactly managed to sleep in that 2nd week with ease either... Hmm, songs calmed him most of the time right?
Marceline – Yep you know though his cries are piercing my ears, I'm not fired of singing to him... so here we go.

Simon thought to himself and yes, he did remember one song...
He wasn't sure if it'll work, since while Gregory is like Marcy he still can't understand the lyrics.

Simon giggles "Oh well I guess I underestimate myself at times... Marcy , sorry if I went too far there... If you want, then of course we are we going!"
Marceline puts hand on shoulder in understanding
Marceline – Good, cause this time I wanna introduce Gregory to his... relatives I guess.
Simon – What relatives you-OOOH I see. There'll be plenty of them then.
Evening At renewed Candy Kingdom
The entry as usual was welcoming, banana guards on duty were quite relaxed at the moment, given it's not monster season yet.
Marceline closed Gregory's eyes not wanting him to try diving into lake before learning how to swim.
As for the kingdom itself inside the walls, though not completed yet, most of it is done now.
It's is a bit different than before naturally.
Mostly same with village style houses, red-link trees. At least for now, who knows what design will be added next.
Though now banana guards look quite armed.
Simon – Looks like safer place to me. Then again...
Marceline – Simon try to think about something positive at the moment. Feel the freedom of the wind, and excitement for adventure! Worked for me many times. And what's more important Gregory should have-
She looks to find no one beside her, she looks around frantically as did Simon
Simon – WE LOST HIM?! We've just came here and we lost him!
Marceline – That's an understatement! Okay I'll fly up and see where he is!
Except when she did, she flew by one window where someone began shooting.
"I've said already then and now! She's not getting married! Don't you-"
He looks up to see Marcy
Marceline – You got something to say? If not then tell me did you see there little human child roaming around here?
Candy dad puts his gun away sweating at Queen glaring him down
"N-no of course not your majesty, I just mistook you-"
They then hear a sound coming from distance, a loud laugh...
Marcy didn't waste time and went in there and Candy dad sighs in relief.
Marcy makes her way to the source and luckily finds Gregory...biting and licking Chocoberry...
Chocoberry – Ohohohoho ohoh ouch please it tickles!
Marceline shakes her head, she also get a bite from a certain lady but Gregory doing that?
No way, he apparently just wants to eat some candy.
Marceline – Okay kiddo c'mon you can't just eat people. Cannibalism is a no go.
Gregory still took some parts with him that he kept eating. Luckily Chocoberry regret those back.
Chocoberry – Hi your majesty-
Marceline – Choco just Marceline will do.
Chocoberry – Oh okay, Marceline is this our little prince?
Marceline – Heh, well if we follow the rule of royalty then yep. Pretty much.
She didn't thought about it yet but it's true, Gregory by extension is a prince... Yep Bonnie definitely gives him chores to do once he's able like Finn or Simon-
Marceline – Wait Simon?! Ah he too. Looks like we play hide and seek c'mon buddy, let's now look for him. See ya Choco.

Another candy approached her after Marceline departed

Marceline searched back to where they were initially.
She then looked at the bar nearby, maybe he decided to wait there. That's where she played sometimes.
Gregory looked down a bit scared, he apparently didn't like the heights.
Marceline – Don't worry, we're going down. Easy.
Flying down to the entry, she goes inside.
She guessed it, he was there with Starchy listening to potential local music stars.

Marceline definitely wanted to laugh, not at poor guy's attempts it's open for all. More like how he called Bonnie Mama or mommy. He just says in a funny way.

Gregory meanwhile took a bite from Lollipops foot, making her giggle.

Chet moves to Gregory who then takes part of his chocolate cover

Gregory's clothes by now were very dirtied in sweets.
Marceline – Okay, guys this is your new prince . My boy Gregory, mine and Bonnie's.
Banana Guard – Prince? Will he eat us all if given throne then??
Marceline – Whoa Whoa don't worry, he's little now so he'll grow out of it I promise.
Simon – Yeah so try to get along with him, first impression is important... yeah maybe it's him that made the wrong one...
Marceline then decided they should leave but first.
Marceline – Hey listen ya'll I don't think we can just fly Gregory here and there all day, I mean I can but don't want to. Spread the word please if you can.
Starchy – You can count on us!
They made their way outside
Simon – Marcy now that I think about it, when was your last concert?
Marceline – Mmm weeks ago, had a busy schedule... yup I sound like Bonnie now.
Simon picks up and carried Gregory
Simon – Your team's not calling you?
Marceline – They do, I plan to go in next days. Should I leave Gregory to someone or take him with me?
Simon – I can look after him, not that I have much to do other than read books about Malus/Abraxas , or looking after Turtle Princess' library when she's absent...
She was wondering who'll give up first in that scenario. Either her Gregory falls asleep out of boredom or Simon will be kept awake due to his crying.
Simon – By the way, why does he sometimes letting out static or electricity? Or is it me still hallucinating?
Marceline – No no he's actually like that at times, not always but his hidden abilities tend to go bonkers. Luckily no earthquakes. Though there is cosmic owl in his drawings...
Simon – Okaay now I'm even more curious about him than before.
Marceline – Simon, I wanted us to go out because not just for Gregory but for you too. I've read your letters, maybe not a poetry but certainly a lot of drama. I know you miss Betty, if anything your love is an example of what I always wanted for me and Bonnie. But you can't help her like this...
Simon looked up at her before looking at Gregory who just examining the area curiously...
Looking back, he foes have unfinished mission but not an obsession
Simon – Ah yes, well I'm fine now... I thank you for your care Marcy, I also didn't really spend time with Gregory like an uncle should. Guess sometimes I just need to be taken out of house.
Marceline – Now we're talking. You're welcome...now c'mon I still wanna see how Gumball Guardian would take this.
Simon – You think they'll start stalking him? I mean they are protective of Princess Bubblegum so...
Marceline – Ya know i think we've gone overboard on that topic.
All the way Gregory was smiling and having a lot of fun
Fionna and Cake series comes out in a day or two. You would or wouldn't believe how Impatient I am to see it. Just in time for my fic too, and ideas I explore here can be fuelled by what F have to show. Especially on concept of 'Dreams as Doors to Multiverse', like in Dr Strange but even funnier now. the Fun Never really Ends!
