Wraith is a rathian and Kaela's pet. She has red skin, black wings, and red eyes.
Wraith was born alongside her brother, Rath in a nest located on a mountain. After their parents are killed by hunters, Wraith and her brother were forced to abandon their nest together. As teens, Wraith meets Kaela after the two are separated from their brothers. Wraith attempts to kill Kaela but crashes on the sandy dunes after failing to make a sharp turn near the ground. Feeling remorseful, Kaela tends to Wraith's broken wing, which Wraith was all too happy to accept. Within a few days, Wraith is up and flying but accepts Kaela as her rider.
Wraith can generate flaming projectiles from her mouth. She is notably more proficient in the use of this weapon however, as she is commonly seen releasing multiple blasts at once. In addition, she is capable of charging up and releasing a more potent fire blast which can ignite a swath of ground in front of her. She can use the poisonous barbs on her tail club to inflict blunt-force, toxic wounds on foes, even if her tail was cut off. Her powerful legs allow her to run at high speeds, making her easily capable of chasing down most prey. Like her brother, her vision is very keen.
Wraith may initially seem gruff and grumpy to those who first meet her, being easily irritated and somewhat unimpressed with most individuals she first encounters. This was especially seen during her first encounter with Kaela, in which she attacked her multiple times despite her attempts to help treat the injuries she sustained from her chase. This irritable and highly defensive personality may be due to being protective over her brother. Wraith, in truth, is much kinder and gentler compared to most other rathians. After Kaela treated her injuries and showed her true compassion, Wraith became much more open and happier than before, no longer being as openly hostile to new creatures and people she meets. Since then, she has become extremely affectionate and playful towards those who she considers friends, especially Kaela.
