Chapter 10: Sage training
-Hokage office-
"I discovered the whereabouts of the akatsuki leader." Said Jiraiya who was standing in front of the hokage desk.
Tsunade immediately jumped out her seat. "What? Is that true?! Tell me more!" Yelled Tsunade who was desperate.
"We'll use that information to plan a surprise attack!" Said Shizune who was standing next to Tsunade.
"Don't be hasty, now.Haste makes waste. Especially with the stakes this high." Said jiraiya. "Say, why don't we grab a drink together? Just you and me." Asked Jiraiya.
"I'll tell you everything from there." Said Jiraiya.
"You fool! I'm the hokage! And you're asking me to go drinking in broad daylight? Do you not have no shame when our ninjas are on duty?!" Asked Tsunade.
-twilight village-
"That girl is late." Murmured Suigetsu as he was task to watch over Naruto with Jugo who was petting and feeding birds.
-with Karin-
"I wish it would get dark soon. After Jugo and Suigetsu turn in, I'll make my move on Naruto while he's asleep!" Laughed Karin.
"I'm so excited!" Thought Karin before her senses went off which caused her to turn around.
"There's no mistake. They're steadily approaching. One, two, their chakra is strong too. They're also a quite few of them. I sense non-human chakra too. Dogs? Are they tracking our scent? Is it Akatsuki or maybe the hidden leaf?" Thought karin as she dashed towards the inn her team was staying at. Running up the stares she immediately kicked opened the door causing Jugo and Suigetsu to get in battle stances and Naruto to wake up.
"Wake up, Naruto! We being tracking down by a large squad of people with large chakras, and they heading our way and will be here any minute now!" Yelled Karin.
"Is it Akatsuki?" Ask Suigetsu.
"No, it's my former village, Akatsuki only travels in Pairs I doubt they will send a whole squad to capture me." Said naruto who was getting dress and was able to sense his old teammates.
"Let's go!" Said Naruto who left out the room with his team following behind.
"You're okay now, Naruto?" Asked Suigetsu.
"Yeah my injuries are almost finished healing and I can feel my chakra restore as well." Said naruto as he fixed his cloak.
"So where as we going?" Asked Karin which the team started to hop through trees.
"You guys need to avoid interacting with the hidden leaf and the akatsuki. As for me I'm going to a different place as of now." Said naruto who stop which caused everyone else to stop.
"You what!" Asked Karin.
Naruto turned around before throwing each member of his team a bag of money.
"With my last fight with that akatsuki member, I realize I might not be able to take on the Akatsuki leader. So I will be leaving for some time to go train in another place to learn a new technique. I gave you guys enough money to last you to the time I will be back. Don't spend it all in one day."
Naruto was about to keep talking until he saw a sasuke. Without wasting no time or hesitation he slashed sasuke across his chest before being surprise to see it disappear into smoke. "Shadow clone." Thought Naruto.
"Hurry and go! That was a shadow clone now they immediately know our location. Don't get capture by those fools if it comes to it kill them." Said naruto before he left in a poof of smoke.
"What? So he just left us like this?" Asked Karin to herself.
"You heard the man! Let's go they know our location." Said Suigetsu grabbing Karin arm and running through the trees with Jugo.
-with the others-
"found him! He destroyed my shadow clone!" Said Sasuke causing the group to go in a different location. "I'm not letting you get away this time Naruto!" Thought sasuke before they was stopped on the roof.
Standing on the pillar was a large man with the akatsuki cloak. His name was Kisame Hoshigake. "Only Sasuke may go beyond this point." Said Kisame with a grin.
"It's itachi orders." Said kisame causing the group eyes to widened.
"The rest of you are welcome to wait here." Said Kisame.
"Who do you think we are! We going take you down and that itachi guy and find Naruto!" Yelled Kiba.
"Yeah that's right! We won't let sasuke go in alone!" Yelled Sakura.
Sasuke put a arm up in front of the group causing the group to stop talking.
"No, I will go alone." Said Sasuke causing the group eyes to widen.
"What? Are you still bent on revenge Sasuke?" Asked Kakashi.
"No, but it's my chance It always been something I want sense I was 7 years old. If you guys was truly my friend, you would let me accomplish my goal just as if I would let you guys accomplish yours. Just be sure you guys go and find naruto." Said sasuke before jumping off into the area itachi was at.
"Remember naruto is not that far Hurry and find him!" Yelled Sasuke above his shoulders to the group.
Sakura wanted to follow sasuke so bad but she knew what this meant to him. This was 9 years in the making and she knew sasuke wanted to fight alone. As much as it pained her she had to let go of her feelings and find naruto and bring him back her other teammate.
"Let's go!" Said Yamato who went in a opposite direction to find naruto with the group behind him.
-With Naruto-
Naruto walked on the soft grass filled with beautiful flowers. Multiple streams of water and mountains covered the land, giving the place a good view. He looked down at the water able to see his reflection clear as day.
"So you just going to walk around or tell me why you're here." Said a deep voice behind naruto causing naruto to turn around at the new Comer.
"What? I can't come to my secondary home?" Asked Naruto with a small smile on his face.
"It's not that, it's just the fact you rarely visit, so I'm confuse to why you are here." Said the animal standing in front of naruto.
"I'm here for training." Stated Naruto crossing his arms.
"Training? What type of training?" Asked the animal.
"I want to learn Sage mode, I know it's difficult but I'm willing to try." Said Naruto causing the animal to widened his eyes a bit.
He smirked before he turned around. "No." Said the animal causing Naruto eyes to widened. "No?" Ask naruto.
"The answer is no, you didn't even bring no candy for me and the others." Said the animal.
"Wait! Wait! I do have candy!" Said Naruto digging in his cloak and taking out multiple pieces of candy enough for everyone.
The hawk smiled before swapping the candy and sealing it in a bag from who knows where.
"I reconsider, I will teach you sage mode!" Cheered the Hawk.
Naruto let a sweat drop fall down the side of his face as he scratch the back of his head. "So when do we start?" Asked Naruto.
"Now I guess, but first you will have to stripp down into you shorts first." Said the hawk.
"Uhh why?" Questioned Naruto.
"Because you can seriously damage your clothes and I know you don't want to go back to the original world without no clothes." Said the hawk in a tone that left no room for argument.
Naruto casually removed his cloak before sitting it to the side. Before removing his weighted shirt and sandals. Lastly he removed his pants, now only in his shorts.
"Now what?" Asked Naruto.
"Come follow me and sit." Said the hawk before flying off into a direction.
"I wish I can fly." Mumble naruto before running in the same direction with incredible speed. Making to the area he sat on a stone piller next to his friend.
"I will explain the steps to you. Absorbing nature energy is like becoming nature energy itself. It gives you the ability to sense nature around you. And draw it into yourself. In addition to learning nature energy you become one with nature. So to do this training you must sit still." Said the hawk.
"Sit still? Like just sit still?" Asked Naruto gaining a nod from the hawk.
"When you sit still you able to consecrate. It's basically meditation you hear me?" Asked the hawk.
"Hmph, if all I have to do is sit still then this will be over in no time." Said naruto closing his eyes with a cocky grin.
"It's not that easy, it takes time and it's impossible to do it on the first try. Here give me your hand." Said the hawk.
Naruto opened his eyes before sticking his hand out. The hawk started to rub some weird oil on both of naruto wrist causing naruto to look at him.
"It's hawk oil, it will help with the training." Said the hawk gaining a nod from Naruto.
"Ah so if I just use this hawk oil I'll be able to become a sage in no time!" Said Naruto.
"It's a tool to grasp concentration. In time you won't even need the hawk oil. However there's a risk. If you keep being cocky and thinking this training is easy. You will turn into a hawk like me forever." Said the hawk causing naruto eyes to widened as he was looking at his hand that gained sharper claws and had one black orb in his eye instead of the blue orb.
Naruto screamed out in horror before slipping off the pillar and falling off. But thanks to the hawk he used his wings to catch naruto and sit him back down.
Now naruto appearance was normal again causing naruto to whipe a sweat of his brow.
"Use too little of sage chakra you don't become a sage at all, but use too much you become a bird. I told you it wasn't easy, and it takes time. I will be watching you and look over your training." Said the hawk.
"Hey can't I just use shadow clones?" Asked Naruto.
"Ah, shadow clones the jutsu that revert and transfer anything it learns back to the owner. Yes but 4 is the limit if you transfer too much chakra you can become a bird." Said the hawk.
Naruto nodded before creating 4 shadow clones who got into meditation positions. Naruto closed his eyes as he and the clones started to meditate and learn sage mode. 5 minutes later a black eye liner appeared over naruto right eye.
Naruto opened his eyes to reveal orange pupil eyes. "I can see much better now." Mumble Naruto but the hawk caught it and got a look at his eye.
"You doing it but stop!" Yelled the hawk causing naruto to lose concentration and stop molding sage energy.
"I want to life the stone rock over there." Said the hawk pointing to the large rock that was near the water fall.
"Uhh okay?" Said naruto as he jumped off the pillar and went towards the rock trying to lift it. Struggling he started to sweat as he was not able to pick up the rock. He dropped to his knees and started to pant.
"What type of rock is this?" Asked Naruto out of breath.
"Now mold sage energy and do it again." Said the bird.
Naruto sat down before molding sage energy, unlike like last time both pupils was orange with black eye liner. He stood up before trying to lift the rock again. At first he struggle but he soon manage to lift the rock.
"That's it naruto!" Yelled the bird amazed to see how quick of a learned naruto was.
Naruto soon felt a crack in his back causing him to drop the the rock causing a huge Shockwave. The hawk eyes slowly widened in horror as he saw the rock tip over into many other rocks.
"My ancestors!" Yelled the bird in fright.
"Just for that, you must carry and put all those rocks in the same place!" Yelled the bird at Naruto causing naruto eyes to widened.
"You can't be serious." Cried Naruto as he slowly started to put back the rocks.
Naruto dropped on his knees after putting back every rock in logical order.
"It's seems like you mastered hawk oil assisted control. Now you must learn how to master sage mode itself.
Naruto soon jumped high into the air.
"I can already feel the power surging in me!" Screamed out Naruto.
"That's because sage chakra is much different than regular chakra. Regularl chakra you would be exhausted by now, but sage chakra you keep on healing and healing faster even more faster than your tenant." Said the bird.
"So that's why my bones healed so fast and I don't feel tired or anything." Thought Naruto.
"Now let's beginning working on that sage mode training." Said the bird.
-With the others-
"This way guys!" Yelled Sakura leading them to the way where they last sense naruto chakra.
"Wait, sakura!" Yelled Hinata as she tried to catch up with sakura while using her byakugan to search for Naruto. "This chakra." Thought Hinata.
"Howdy!" Yelled Tobi appearing in front of Sakura.
"What the." Thought Sakura as he slipped and jumped back in shock falling on the hard ground.
"Imagine running into the hidden leaf in a place like this!" Said Tobi.
"I mean it's two, four, six, seven against one, such bad timing." Said Tobi.
"That Rhobe, you a member of the Akatsuki!" Said Yamato.
"Though he wasn't on the list Kabuto left us." Committed Kakashi.
"Oh, I'm a newbie. Nice to meet you!" Said Tobi giving them a wave.
"Hah. Think your funny? Don't waste our time!" Yelled Kiba.
"Don't be rash, study the situation first. We have him out number." Said Kakashi.
"Oh dear, am I'm being underestimated, by you guys?" Asked Tobi.
"They keep getting in the way of us and Naruto over and over again!" Thought Sakura.
"Don't get In our way!" Yelled Kiba from behind Tobi slamming into Tobi just to go right through him. Causing Kiba eyes to widened in surprise and lose his balance.
Kiba caught Akumaru who was a cloned as Kiba as they skitted across the ground.
"Hmm? Are you guys analyzing my strength right now?" Asked Tobi.
"He dodge Kiba attacks who's arguably one of the fastest here with no difficulty. He's obviously toying with us. What is he after?" Thought Kakashi.
"Now what shall we play next? Hidden leaf folks?" Asked Tobi.
"We don't have time to waste on the likes of you!" Yelled Kiba.
"He's right!" Said Sakura.
"That's because we need to find our friend Naruto." Included Naruto.
"Haha! Your friend Naruto? The guy who wants nothing to do with any of yall for the past three years?" Joke Tobi scratching the back of his head.
"Everyone we will attack together and end this quickly." Said Kakashi giving a nod to Yamato.
"Everyone we will go with formation B!" Stated Yamato gaining a nod from everyone.
"Oh it's seems like you guys are serious. I better get fired up!" Said Tobi stretching.
"Here it goes." Said Sakura before swinging and tossing Sai at a Tobi.
"Oh so high look at him go. That girl have some crazy strength!" Said Tobi in amazement. He turned around to see three people coming towards him.
"Oh no! They detracted me with that decoy and now three people are attacking me! I don't know which one to dodge!" Yelled Tobi in fright.
He clumsily dodge every attack that was sent his way. He looked up to see multiple ink birds dropping towards him.
"Ahh you won't the decoy! You got me!" Yelled Tobi as the attacks landed on tobi causing a explosion.
"No!" Yelled Tobi as he kicked dirt into Sakura eyes. "Ninja art! Blockade Jutsu!" Yelled Tobi before going under ground and trying to wack the konoha nins who dodge.
"All right I'm going to name this jutsu. Ninja art: Wack-o-mo-lee Jutsu!" Yelled Tobi in excitement.
-Sasuke-
"That sharigan, how much can you see with those eyes of yours?" Asked Itachi to Sasuke who walked in the Building.
"How much can I see with these? Right now itachi what I'm seeing right now is you dead at my feet!" Said Sasuke with a glare on his face.
"My death huh? Well then." Said itachi appearing behind Sasuke.
"Make it happen." Said Itachi before the two turned around, kunai in hand swinging at each other. Sasuke quickly brought out his sword as he blocked the kunai attack from Itachi.
Itachi grabbed Sasuke arm before kicking him in the face. Sasuke tried swinging at Itachi causing Itachi to jump in the air and grabbed he by the back of his cloak and toss him on the ground. Tearing the clock off and sending Sasuke sword into the ceiling.
Sasuke quickly got on his feet as he made hand signs for the chidori.
"Chidori: Stream!" Yelled Sasuke as he struck the floor causing itachi to jump in the air. Body flickering to his sword sasuke smirked as he grabbed his sword and stabbed Itachi through thr stomach both landing on the ground.
"Itachi I have one thing to ask." Said Sasuke as Itachi pointing to fingers in a opposite direction causing sasuke to turn and see itachi sitting in the chair. He looked down to see the itachi he stabbed turn into crows.
"What do you want to know?" Asked Itachi.
"I say it once more." Said Sasuke appearing behind Itachi stabbing him with his sword.
"You couldn't be the only person who slaughter our clan, knowing you would've had to deal with the police force, the jonin and the citizens at the same time. But to do it in one night without being caught is to much even for you to do alone, so else was there with you that night?" Asked Sasuke.
"Madara Uchiha." Said Itachi simply causing itachi eyes to widen.
"One of the founders of the hidden leaf village. The man who first awaken the Mangekyo Sharigan."
"Madara uchiha? He's dead are you just playing with me!?" Yelled Sasuke in disbelief.
"Madara is still alive. Both knowledge and awareness are equivocal. Ones reality might be another illusion. And that thinking Madara is dead is merely a arbitrary assumption that you made." Said Itachi.
"What happened that night? I was so young I thought it was all merely a illusion. But I was trapped in reality!" Yelled Sasuke as he turned around a shot a lightning blade at itachi who was sitting in a chair. Itachi merely moved his head to the side, dodging the lightning effortlessly.
"You couldn't kill your best friend and you dare come here face me with such weak resolve? The Mangekyo Sharigan are very special eyes. But the Mangekyo Sharigan will eventually lose their light.
"Blindness?" Asked Sasuke getting a slight nod from itachi.
"What can it do other than taming the Nine Tails fox?" Asked Sasuke.
"A lot more, but I won't get into detail as you going die anyway. But let me tell you something. You have my light, You have my spare eyes! Past down from friends and siblings killed each others for these eyes to attain eternal visual prowess! I shall kill you to obtain my true transformation! Now come little brother, Sasuke! You are my new Light!" Yelled Itachi talking like a mad man.
Sasuke took off his cloak before tossing it to the side. He cracked his knuckles before unwrapping his bandages. "I will use my hate to turn fantasy into reality!" Yelled Sasuke as both brothers threw shurikens at each other.
It was an intense shuriken back and force until both brothers dash at each other, Sasuke with blade in hand and Itachi with kunai in hand. Both clash as they struggle to over power one another.
A shadow clone behind Itachi jumped into the air before tossing a few kunais at Sasuke.
Before the kunais can hit vital points a white snake blocked the kunais dropping them to the floor. The snake attacked the itachi that was near him to only be a clone.
As both clone and the snake disappeared, Sasuke threw a windmill Shuriken at Itachi.
The Itachi clone blocked the Windmill Shuriken with a kunai only to realize the Shuriken was being powered up with chakra and started to cut through the kunai and the clone it self. A flock of crows dispersed from the clone surrounding Sasuke. Appearing in front of Sasuke, Itachi sent a bicycle kick into Sasuke stomach sending him crashing into a wall.
Trying to use a jutsu Sasuke arm was grabbed before he was pinned up against the wall.
"Forgive me Sasuke." Said Itachi as he snatched one of Sasukes eyes causing Sasuke to scream out in pain. Sasuke trying covering his damage missing eye only for it to be useless. Removing his hand he looked down at his bloody palm in shock and horror.
Sasuke growled before letting the curse mark take over to break out of Itachi grasp.
"So that's the power of the curse mark? Even tho Naruto killed Orochimaru the seal didn't go away." Thought Itachi.
A clone appeared behind Sasuke grabbing him into a choke hold. "The difference between your eyes and mines are a huge difference." Said Itachi as he was ready to grabbed Sasuke other eye only to be stabbed by snakes.
Sasuke panted as he broke out the Genjutsu.
"You broke through my genjutsu?" Asked Itachi who was surprised but happy at the same time but didn't show it.
"As I told you before, with all my hatred I will turn fantasy into reality." Said Sasuke.
"Well allow me to make this an reality." Said Itachi making a hand seal ready to make some hand signs to make a jutsu. But Sasuke wasn't allowing it as he threw Two Shurikens at Itachi incase in Lighting chakra.
Jumping through the middle Itachi dodge both Shurikens just for Sasuke to break the two causing a peace to stab Itachi in the leg, causing him to drop to the ground.
Itachi quickly stood up removing the blade from his leg. He looked at Sasuke and Notice his vision was getting bleary.
"Fire style: Great fire ball Jutsu!" Yelled Sasuke launching a Fire ball Itachi.
Jumping in the air Itachi dodge the jutsu only to see Sasuke coming at him with an Lightning attack.
Itachi burst through the ceiling casting hand seals to make a huge fire ball Jutsu. He landed on the ground as he watch the smoke clear.
"These wounds are nothing they won't slow me down at all." Said Sasuke panting as he stood up. Soon both brothers created hand seals launching the same Jutsu.
In unison both yelled, "Fire style: Fire ball Jutsu!" Both launching a huge fire ball at each other.
Both jutsus collided both in a stalemate.
"Amaterasu." Whispered Itachi as he used Amaterasu to over power Sasuke attack. Sasuke attack was over powered as he watch his fire ball jutsu get ate by the black flames.
Itachi dispelling his jutsu so he didn't burn Sasuke and use up too much chakra.
"Better start running." Advise itachi as he closed his eyes and stared shooting Amaterasus at sasuke.
Using Itachi advice Sasuke started to run barely dodging Itachi attacks. Soon the Amaterasu caught up with Sasuke burning him causing him to scream in pain.
Walking up to Sasuke Itachi tried grabbing his little brother only to realize it was a substitution.
Dropping to his needs Itachi panted only to see the floor Crack causing him to nearly dodge the fire dragon that was aimed for him.
"My next attack is my last attack. I used up all my chakra in the fire ball attack. However do you really think I will come here to kill you and be unprepared?" Asked Sasuke as thunder clouds formed above the two. Sasuke jumped out the room before jumping onto the highest pillar he saw with lightning In case in his hands.
The thunder clouds started to get more and more violent as Sasuke stuck his hands up into the sky.
"This powers is guided directly from the Lighting from the heavens all I have to do is direct this power right at you. This jutsu is called Kirin.
Itachi only looked down at the ground as it begun to rain as he knew what was about to happen. This will mark his last final minutes on earth and his last final minutes with his little brother. He wanted to cry but he held it in. He only wish the truth wouldn't come out and Sasuke will be rewarded as a hero.
"I'll be seeing you soon, Mother and Father." Thought Itachi as he looked up to see a lightning dragon. His eyes widened in surprise and happiness seeing his little brother grow.
"Now prepare for the thunder clap!" Yelled Sasuke as he shot the jutsu at Itachi destroying everything in sight.
Sasuke stood up on shaky but only to fall on his knees after being so exhausted. "It's done." Thought Sasuke as he saw Itachi un moving body in the distance.
"It's finally over." Said Sasuke to himself.
"Is this the death you had imagined for me? Sasuke." Asked Itachi as he was still alive causing Sasuke eyes to widened in disbelief in horror.
A red aura formed around Itachi before a skeleton like creature formed around him.
"If I hadn't had this I've would've been dead by now. I'm going to reveal to you my final Trump card, the susanoo." Said Itachi.
"The susanno?" Asked Sasuke who was in his curse mark 2 transformation.
"Yes the one other Jutsu you achieve from getting the Mangekyo Sharigan. You really have gotten stronger Sasuke. It's your last chance to play it." Said Itachi hinting at Orochimaru.
"The real battle is just beginning." Said Itachi walking towards Sasuke.
"I can give it to you." Said a voice in Sasuke head that belonged to Orochimaru.
Sasuke shook his head no as he dropped to his knees a large white snake coming from his shoulder. It turned out to be a large eight headed snake that was orochimaru. One snake attacked Itachi only to get it's head cut off.
"Orochimarus eight headed serphant jutsu." Thought itachi.
More snakes attacked as Itachi blocked with his shield and cut off more heads. The remaining snakes grabbed the Susanno and tried squeezing it only to get it heads cut off.
"So now it finally comes out." Thought Itachi as he started coughing up blood.
Orochimaru came out the last snake mouth with a sword in hand. "This is it, this is what I've been waiting for." Said orochimaru only to get stabbed and sealed into Itachi Totsuka blade.
"This is it Sasuke." Thought Itachi as he removed the Curse seal and begun walking towards his little brother coughing up blood. Sasuke grabbed a Kunai wrapped in a explosive tag at Itachi sussanoo, hoping it would do some damage or by some miracle blow it up.
Seeing nothing didn't work Sasuke grabbed his Sword and attack Itachi sussanoo hoping to do something only to be sent flying.
Sasuke backed up only to back up into a wall. His eyes widened in horror as there was no where to go.
Itachi continued to slowly walk up to sasuke before placing two fingers on his head.
"I'm sorry Sasuke, but this is the end for me." Said itachi with a smile on his face as he dropped to the floor dead.
Sasuke still in shock with blood on his forehead continued to pant until it started to rain. He side eyed itachi to confirm he was dead. He could only drop down to the ground and lay next to his brother dead body while he felled into unconsciousness.
-Somewhere else-
Zetsu grew up from the ground next to tobi.
"So how it go?" Asked Tobi.
"It's over, Sasuke has won Itachi is dead." Said Zetsu shocking the group.
"What I don't belive it! Kidding, it's just as I expected." Said Tobi changing voices.
"Hey! Spiky aloe guy, tell us where Sasuke is!" Yelled Kiba.
"Aloe guy?" Asked Zetsu.
"Ignore him. But we will leave Sasuke alone, he's not apart of the plan anymore. I have someone else in mind." Said Tobi gaining a questioning look from Zetsu.
"Someone else?" Asked Zetsu.
"Yes, someone who's more stronger, someone who has more hate." Said Tobi as he met eye to eye with Kakashi.
"Later." Said Tobi vanishing in a vortex as Zetsu sunk into the tree.
"We have to hurry and make it to Sasuke!" Said Kakashi leading the team.
