A.N. — Yesterday saw me shying away from a character's canon villainous activities to tell a more positive tale. Today is the opposite, someone on the side of the good guys that's aiding the enemy. Of course, there were extenuating circumstances for this individual from the third movie...

242. Eddie Soul

Scientists weren't supposed to take sides. Their research, though typically paid for and at the direction of others, would eventually produce results that hopefully benefitted all. Eddie Soul, however, had that neutrality robbed from him.

Kidnapped from Otheon and forced to engineer a weapon of terror for Humarise, Eddie got to work — at building a countermeasure into the device. When his subterfuge was discovered, Eddie was executed for his deeds, a quick end to a drawn-out affair. But his family back home, the very type of innocents Eddie had been trying to protect, faced enduring consequences he couldn't prevent.
