Chapter 8
3rd P.O.V
Edward has Bella by the neck, and The Major let out a loud snarl. Suddenly Edward drops her as a knife is thrown into his arm. He hissed, "Let my daughter go!" Charlie exclaims as another knife lodged itself in Edwards eye. Suddenly both Bella and Charlie are behind the Major as Charlie holds Bella. The wolves are growling and other vampires are growling.
"ENOUGH!" The Major shouted.
"Captain," The Major said motioning to Edward. Peter grabbed Edward by the throat.
"Lieutenant, Doctor Cullen," The Major said, motioning for Charlotte to stand guard and for Carlisle to take a look at the Chief's daughter.
The Major stalked forward to Edward his eyes black as night.
"Why?" He asked with a growl as Edward struggled in Peter's grip.
"Where is Alex, where is my mate?" Edward asked instead, making everyone freeze.
"Alex is your mate?" Alice asked brokenly. Edward growled.
"Yes, now where is he?" He asked.
"Did ya know, that Alex is the reason my mate has been captured?" The Major asked a dark purr in his voice. Edward flinched. The Major snarled, "you knew! Captain put him with Alex!" The Major snarled.
"Major-" Carlisle went to say but was cut off by his growl. Emmett and Rosalie were beside Alice giving her a hug.
"No! Doctor Cullen, it is my mate that was taken. Mine!" He snarled out. Bella let out a groan opening her eyes.
"Definitely, Gen's mate, only Gen would have a mate like her. What's the plan people!" Bella asked as she stood with Charlie's help. Peter ripped Edward to pieces and put him with Alex. Esme and Carlisle frowned, but didn't say anything while Emmett and Rosalie just watched.
The Major was in front of Bella in a second and Charlie fought the urge to pull her behind him. The Major looked at her curiously.
"You're both strange." The Major commented. Bella just grinned and looked back at her dad before saying.
"The General's mate, alright, she said the same thing." Bella said with a smirk. The Major threw his head back and laughed, making almost everyone shiver.
"You're both hilarious, what can ya two do against vampires?" The Major asked. Bella and Charlie dropped into a crouch and both pulled two knives from their boots and two silver guns from their pockets. The Major grabbed the knives but dropped them as they burnt his skin.
"What the-" Both humans as well as his Captain and Lieutenant laughed. After explaining the weapons and their uses. They all went into the Chiefs house.
"So, uncle Marcus and his guard are coming?" Asked Bella as Charlie explained the situation.
"Yeah, he is." Charlie answered.
"And uncle Billy, why are you and the pack here?" Asked Bella.
"The General trained us the few summers that she's been here." Billy explained, Bella nodded in understanding.
"Wait, hold up, isn't that like giving secrets to the enemy?" Emmett asked. Peter is the one to laugh,
"Not necessarily, The General, like the Major is smart. She drew up her own treaty, and absolutely refused to train those who haven't yet shifted. She was iffy with who she trained, and told the elders that under no circumstances should they use this against her friends." Peter responded.
"Yes, it was hard to convince her." Billy added. Alice suddenly gasped going into a vision. The Major's head snapped up. He felt the emotions from Alice. longing, love, and excitement.
"Alice?" He asked tilting his head to the side. Alice cleared her throat and looked as if she was going to cry.
"I just had a vision of the most beautiful, yet heartbreaking reunion. Why didn't Secelia tell us she had kids?" Alice asked. The Major froze.
"That's not possible. They were dead!" Peter exclaimed.
"Then why do I see them showing up in two years? Claiming and I quote, "Momma Gen sent us?" Alice asked.
hope from Charlotte and doubt from Peter.
"What are there names then?" Charlotte asked masking her hope.
"Jayson, Rosie, and Av-" Alice was unable to say the last name as Peter let out a wail and suddenly disappeared.
"Oh Peter," Charlotte muttered and ran after him. The Major looked around the room at a loss.
"What are you waiting for son? Go after them." Charlie says. The Major did as told. He found Charlotte sitting on a log watching her mate pace around.
The Major's P.O.V
"Kids?" I asked my lieutenant sitting beside her. Hope came from Charlotte.
"As Alice said there names were, are Jayson who is nineteen, Rosie who would be seventeen, and Avery who would be sixteen. Jayson 'died' in a fire. Sacrificed himself for his momma and sister. The fire damaged Rosie's legs she couldn't walk, well she could but it's painful. The General found Avery when she was five and about to be-" Char stopped to clear her throat venom in her eyes.
"Safe to say the General tore that asshole apart and Avery became a Whitlock. Avery doesn't speak, unless it's with the General, Secelia, or Rosie, but that never mattered to us. Peter was close to Avery. She would prank him. Dye his hair pink, because it was Rosie's favorite color. The first time she done it Peter was pissed, but then his gift kicked in and told him she did it because that was her way of showing he was family and if Peter had attacked verbally or physically it would ruin the trust she was showing. So, instead of being upset he rocked pink hair for months. It became a tradition if Peter did something to upset me, Rosie, or Gen she would die his hair pink or even purple. They became close, and it was the day of her supposed death that she called because a building they were in caught ablaze, and she called us aunt Char and Uncle Peter. Hybrids have gifts as well and Avery was a hybrid along with her sister and brother. She had a gift almost exactly like Peters. That's why he can't bear to hear her name because if Alice is wrong." Char trailed off. I hummed thinking.
Peter suddenly appeared before us a nervous energy.
"If-If they are alive we have to protect them. Last time..." Peter closed his eyes in pain. Charlotte grabbed his hand.
"Last time what, Captain?" I asked sensing his distress.
"if she loses them agin, I don't think she will make it." He mumbled. I gripped his shoulder.
"Then she won't lose them, ever!" I promised.
