This is a series of short stories centered on revenge. They will vary in length from the title story at 10k words to some that may only be a few hundred. It is similar to my other short story collection "The Compromise Chronicles" which I obviously recommend.

Two men in love with the same woman - which will she choose? Or will fate allow her two loves in one lifetime?

A Pride and Prejudice story. Starting in Hunsford, Elizabeth is not allowed to stay home from tea and so Darcy's ill-fated proposal is prevented however Elizabeth is too angry to remain silent. This is a slow and sweet story that does get more mature towards the end.

As we know, all great books begin with a wealthy man in need of a wife. In this sequel to Mutual Pride, based on the characters from Pride and Prejudice, we find a new gentlemen with that pressing need.

What if the people in Hertfordshire were not as they seemed – and Charles Bingley was the only member of the Netherfield partly that noticed?

Mr Darcy comes across Elizabeth on Oakham Mount watching the sunrise. He escorts her part way home and they share a conversation.

A succession of rain extends Jane and Lizzy’s stay at Netherfield. Bingley is delighted, Caro is not. Lizzy is frustrated. And Darcy? He likes to think he is indifferent. But who else will be stuck with them? And who is hiding messages in books, whom are they for and who is going to find them? Sorry, bad title & summary (suggestions welcome). What if Lydia Bennet was closer to Elizabeth, admiring and trusting her second eldest sister. How would life at Longbourn be with Lydia thinking a lot more about her actions. This is a short vagary presented entirely from Lydia's point of view. It is a short story (8 chapters and an epilogue only) and not to be taken seriously.

What if . . . Mrs. Gardiner's Lambton relations had been a little more well-to-do and what if she had stronger and longer ties to them and to Derbyshire? In this variation Elizabeth begins to spend summers with the Gardiners in Derbyshire at a fairly young age. As a result she develops her own ties to that part of the world and its people, including the Darcy's of Pemberley.

What if Elizabeth was sent away for refusing Mr Collins, this little saga explores the consequences for her family and friends. Early resolution for Darcy and Elizabeth, low angst story.
