I have always wondered, what it would be like to have season two of boys over flowers, the Korean version. I want to share this idea with you, and I hope you enjoy this book with me.

It was a beautiful day on the island doing a medical mission. The mission was organized by a group of dedicated doctors and nurses who volunteered their time and expertise to provide much-needed healthcare services to the local community. The team had asked for help from medical students from both the third, fourth, and fifth years of their medical school to assist them in the mission. The students eagerly joined the team, excited to gain hands-on experience and contribute to improving the health of the community.

The team also set up a makeshift clinic in a small village near the island, where they treated patients of all ages and backgrounds, offering consultations, medications, and even minor surgeries. The impact of their work was evident as grateful smiles filled the faces of those who received care, making it a truly rewarding experience for everyone involved.

This was Ji Hoo's fourth year and Jan Di's third year in medical school, yet when it came to medical missions or camps, Ji Hoo always had a way of being part of Geum Jan Di's programs, and today they were working as a team in this medical mission to provide healthcare to underprivileged communities.

It was surprising to Jan Di that even after rejecting his proposal five years ago, Ji Hoo was still by her side and supporting her in her endeavors. Despite their past, they managed to maintain a strong friendship, but their bond was no longer on friendly terms like how it had started; it had developed on a stronger level, making it their romantic friendship. Their chemistry had been undeniably electric, and they couldn't deny the growing feelings they had for each other. This unexpected turn in their relationship added an extra layer of complexity to their already challenging lives. They had to navigate the delicate balance between friendship and romance, constantly questioning their actions and emotions. It became a test of their ability to communicate openly and honestly as they tried to preserve what they had while exploring this new dynamic.

As the team worked, a female colleague named A-Yeon, who was both beautiful and smart, had a crush on Ji Hoo, who hardly paid attention to her. She approached him while he was helping an elderly lady cross the street to reach the campsite, hoping to catch his attention. "Hi," she said, offering her a hand so the elderly would reach the site. Ji Hoo smiled warmly at A-Yeon, grateful for her assistance in helping the elderly lady. As they walked back to the campsite together, A-Yeon couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Ji Hoo's kindness and selflessness. She wondered if there was a way to capture his attention and potentially build a deeper connection with him.

After the elderly woman was received by the doctor, A-Yeon and Ji Hoo walked away, standing near the camp where Jan Di was working. Ji Hoo began to smile at the way Jan Di was helping the doctors treat the kids. He couldn't help but admire her while the children called her Miss Pretty, but she was his lotus, his little otter, and he couldn't imagine his life without her.

"I have seen that out of all the students at the university, you are closer to Geum Jan Di than anyone else," A-Yeon commented while watching Jan Di as well. "I can tell that she means a lot to you."

Ji Hoo nodded, his smile growing wider. "Yes, she has become an important part of my life," he replied. "If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have joined the medical school and discovered my passion for helping others. She has inspired me to become a better person and pursue my dreams."

After saying this, he approached Jan Di and gently took her hand. "Sunbae!" she exclaimed, her eyes filled with surprise and joy.

"Hey," he said, taking out his hankie and wiping away the sweat from her forehead, revealing a genuine smile on his face. "Tired?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

Jan Di nodded; her face flushed with exhaustion. "Yes, sunbae," she replied gratefully. "It's been a long day, and with kids here, it's been even more exhausting."

He nodded understandingly; his gaze filled with admiration for her dedication. "You're doing an amazing job, Jan Di," he said sincerely. "You are going to make an incredible pediatrician someday."

Jan Di's eyes lit up at his words. Really, Sunbae?" She asked eagerly, a wide smile spreading across her face.

Ji Hoo smiled, his hands caressing her bare arms as he added, "I do not doubt it, Otter."

"What about you? You are in your final year of medical school, right?" She asked a small pout forming on her mouth, "I wonder how I will manage without you."

"I still have another year to go silly, otter," he replied with a playful grin, rubbing his knuckle over her nose before giving her a reassuring smile. "But—" he drew her closer and whispered, "I can skip a year that way we can graduate together."

"Don't even joke about that, Sunbae," she said, hitting his chest softly. " We both know you're too smart to skip a year and besides, Grandfather's clinic needs to be reopened as soon as possible."

"Sure," he said, sounding disappointed. "But we shall open it when we both graduate from medical school. I will wait for you until then."

After their grandfather retired and went to live in Canada, Ji Hoo closed the clinic so that it could be built into a small hospital offering free service to those in need in their community. His grandfather had made him promise that the clinic would continue to serve the community even after his retirement. Ji Hoo understood the importance of honoring his grandfather's promise and was determined to fulfill it.

"Let's take a walk over the beach," Ji Hoo suggested, leading Jan Di away from the campsite. He took her hand gently and left the group. A-Yeon watched them from afar as they walked away from the site, feeling a mix of jealousy and admiration.

A-Yeon had developed a crush on Ji Hoo the moment she met him. She had tried all possible ways to get his attention, but Ji Hoo only had eyes for Jan Di. Despite her disappointment, A-Yeon couldn't help but admire Ji Hoo's dedication to only that single girl.

True Geum Jan Di is beautiful, but not so beautiful that a handsome man like Yoon Ji Hoo would be completely blind to anyone else's charms. To Ji Hoo, Jan Di was a rare gem that he cherished and protected with all his heart, and what A-Yeon didn't know is that Ji Hoo and Jan Di went to the same high school and have been through both pain and happiness together, forming an unbreakable bond that no one could understand. Both Ji Hoo and Jan Di had a strange way of communicating that only they could understand.

Their eyes normally do the talking for them, conveying emotions and thoughts without the need for words. It was as if they had their secret language, a silent connection that bound them together in a way that no one else could comprehend. And sometimes, A-Yeon would normally notice the subtle caresses Ji Hoo would give to Jan Di, the gentle touch of his hand on her back or the way he would brush a strand of hair behind her ear, his hand moving with a tenderness that spoke volumes about his affection for her. The way he even protected her from any harm was evident in the way he positioned himself between her and any potential danger, his body language conveying a sense of unwavering devotion.

It was these small gestures that made A-Yeon realize the depth of their bond as if they were in a world of their own where love and understanding flowed effortlessly between them. Their unspoken language became a constant reminder of the special connection they shared, leaving A-Yeon in awe of the power of their silent communication, which left her with no chance to attract Ji Hoo's attention or win his heart.

"How is grandfather doing in Canada?" Jan Di asked.

"There is something I want to ask you as well," Ji Hoo replied with a gentle smile. "But first, let me assure you that Grandfather is doing well. He's enjoying his time in Canada and sends his regards." Jan Di nodded, relieved to hear the positive update.

Curiosity sparked in her eyes as she eagerly awaited Ji Hoo's question, wondering what he could want to ask her. "What did you want to ask?" she asked, her heart pounding with anticipation.

"Jan Di-ah, my little otter—" he began.

"Hey, you weed!" A voice and the sound of a helicopter interrupted their conversation. Jan Di and Ji Hoo turned their heads to see the Shinhwa Private helicopter approaching them, dust kicking up from the ground, and Ji Hoo's instinct was to shield Jan Di from the debris. As the helicopter landed, Jan Di's heart sank, realizing that their moment was about to be interrupted by something urgent.

Ji Hoo quickly grabbed her hand and whispered, "Let's continue this later, I promise."

"OK," she replied and turned to the helicopter, knowing Gu Jun Pyo had arrived.

Jan Di couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment as Ji Hoo walked away, leaving her with Gu Jun Pyo. "Gu Jun Pyo."

"In the flesh," Gu Jun Pyo said with a smirk, his presence commanding attention. He opened his arms, expecting Jan Di to run to him, but she hesitated, her heart still longing for Ji Hoo. Gu Jun Pyo noticed her hesitation, and his smirk faltered slightly, but he quickly regained his composure. "What's the matter, Jan Di? Are you not happy to see me?" he asked, his tone tinged with a hint of insecurity.

Jan Di's heart raced as she tried to gather her thoughts, torn between her feelings for Ji Hoo and the complicated relationship she had with Gu Jun Pyo.

"If you can't come to me, I will come to you," Gu Jun Pyo declared, determination flashing in his eyes. The strides he took were steady and purposeful as he closed the distance between them and roughly embraced her, unable to contain the overwhelming love and longing he had for her. His heart was filled with the knowledge that he would never let her go again. "I have missed you for these past four years," he whispered, holding her more tightly. "I am a better man now because of you," he said, drawing away from her and getting on his knee.

Jan Di's mind spun with conflicting emotions, unsure of how to respond to his bold declaration. She knew that whatever decision she made would have far-reaching consequences for all parties involved.

"Jan D-ah, I want to spend the rest of my life with you," Jun Pyo whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. "Will you marry me?" he said, taking out a small velvet box from his pocket, revealing a dazzling diamond ring.

Jan Di's heart raced as she gazed at the symbol of his love and commitment. She didn't know how to reject him without breaking his heart, but she also couldn't ignore the doubts and uncertainties that lingered within her.

Jan Di opened her mouth to speak, I—"

"I object." Ji Hoo's voice interrupted, and he walked in the direction where the medical camps were set up. His expression was serious as he continued, followed by "Me too." Yi Jeong added with a grin.

Meanwhile, Jan Di stood there, unsure whether to be happy with her friend's interruption or not. "Me three." Woo Bin joined in as well, joining the others in their playful banter.

"We can't allow you to get married without our approval," Ji Hoo stated firmly. "We're your friends, and we care about you, Jan Di." Yi Jeong nodded in agreement, his playful grin fading slightly. "We want to make sure you're making the right decision," he added. Jan Di's heart swelled with gratitude for her friends' concern and support. She knew she was lucky to have them by her side.

"But I am your friend as well." Jun Pyo chimed in, smiling, knowing his best friends were joking with them. "It has been a while, guys," he added, "and I've missed you all." He said this, hugging them while Jan Di stood aside, watching the F4 reunion. This was a sight to behold—the group of friends reunited after so long brought back a flood of memories and emotions for Jan Di. She couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and happiness as she witnessed their bond and friendship still intact.

"I have missed you guys," Gu Jun Pyo said after breaking the hug. "But will you approve of me, and this weed of mine getting married?"

Ji Hoo and Woo Bin came to Jan Di, each standing by her side with warm smiles on their faces. "Ji Hoo and I have protected Jan Di for you for the last four years; shouldn't you be grateful and give us a thank-you gift?"

Jan Di couldn't help but laugh at Ji Hoo and Woo Bin's playful request to Jun Pyo, who was beginning to pout. She knew they were just teasing, but deep down, she appreciated their unwavering support and protection.

"Yes, Jun Pyo," Ji Hoo added, wrapping his arm around Jan Di's waist. "You know my grandfather loves Jan Di so much; I'm afraid you can't get engaged without his approval." Jan Di blushed at Ji Hoo's comment, feeling grateful for the love and acceptance she had found within their group of friends. She knew that no matter what challenges they faced, they would always have each other's backs.

"Where is he?" Jun Pyo said, pulling Jan Di to his side. He took her arm, while Ji Hoo held the other hand as if fighting for her. "What are you doing?" Jun Pyo's voice sounded angry at the way Ji Hoo was holding Jan Di's arm. Jan Di could feel the tension rising between Jun Pyo and Ji Hoo, but she knew that their actions stemmed from their deep concern for her.

"You guys," She gently pulled her arm away from both, trying to diffuse the situation. "Sunbae," she turned to Ji Hoo, "we still have work to do, and we can't let personal matters interfere with our professional responsibilities."

"Sure, let's go." Ji Hoo nodded, understanding the importance of prioritizing their work.

"Hold on guys," Yi Jeong said, coming in front of them. He began observing Jan Di and Ji Hoo wearing lab coats. "When did you plan to join medical school?" He directed his question to Ji Hoo, raising an eyebrow in curiosity.

Ji Hoo chuckled softly before responding, "Actually, I've always had a passion for medicine. I decided to pursue it alongside my music career."

"I don't buy it." Woo Bin protested, crossing his arms skeptically. "Come on, Ji Hoo, you've always been the mysterious one. Are you sure there's not another reason behind your sudden interest in medicine?" Woo Bin teased with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Jan Di couldn't help but join in, playfully nudging Ji Hoo's arm.

"Yeah, spill the beans! We won't judge, promise." Jun Pyo said, although he already knew the reason why.

Ji Hoo chuckled, knowing his friends wouldn't let it go until he shared the truth. Taking a deep breath, he finally confessed, "All right, "All right, I will tell you the real reason why I decided to pursue medicine alongside my music career."

Ji Hoo turned to Jan Di, who stood beside him, and said, "I decided to pursue medicine alongside my music career because…of you, Jan Di."

"Me!" Jan Di exclaimed, feeling a mixture of surprise and confusion. She turned her gaze to Jun Pyo, seeing that he was not happy with his response. "Why…why me?"

"Do you remember the promise I made you?" Ji Hoo asked softly, hoping she would understand.

"What promise?" Jun Pyo asked curiously, his confusion evident just like that of Yi Jeong and Woo Bin, who were also waiting for an answer.

Jan Di's eyes widened as memories flooded back. She recalled the time when Ji Hoo had promised to always protect her and be there for her, no matter what. Realization dawned upon her, and she nodded slowly, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Yes, I remember," she whispered shyly, her cheeks turning red with a hint of nostalgia.

"I wanted to fulfill the promise I made to her," he confessed, half-truthfully.

"Is that all?" Yi Jung asked, looking at the way Jan Di and Ji Hoo were gazing at each other with such intensity. He couldn't help but wonder if there was something more between them, something that went beyond a simple promise. Jan Di's hesitation to stop him from revealing the real reason and Ji Hoo's longing gaze spoke volumes, leaving Yi Jung curious about the true nature of their relationship.

'I will find out from Ga Eul,' he promised himself silently as he watched them interact.

Later, at around eight, Ji Hoo was in his tent alone, lost in thought and contemplating the depth of his feelings for Jan Di. He couldn't help but recall the countless moments they had shared and the laughter and support they had offered each other for the last four years without Jun Pyo in her life. As he reminisced, Ji Hoo walked outside of his tent to take a stroll around the campsite and clear his head, and then she was there, in her Hello-Kitty pajamas, walking toward the sea.

Ji Hoo decided to approach her because he knew Jun Pyo's arrival and his proposal were weighing on her mind, and he wanted to offer her some support and reassurance. He knew that she needed someone to talk to, someone who understood her feelings and could provide a listening ear. As he approached her, Ji Hoo could see the worry etched on her face, but also a glimmer of hope. He gently reached out and said, "I know this is a difficult time for you—"

"What did you want to tell me earlier before Jun Pyo interrupted?" Jan Di asked, interrupting him.

Ji Hoo paused for a moment, surprised by Jan Di's interruption. He took a deep breath and continued, "I wanted to tell you I also love kids, " he said simply with a bright smile on his face.

Jan Di felt a mix of emotions upon hearing Ji Hoo's confession. "You want to be a pediatrician as well?" she questioned.

"No," he said, taking her hand. "I want to start a family."

"With A-Yeon, right?" She said this, looking away with a hint of sadness in her voice. "I understand." She withdrew her hand from him.

Ji Hoo shook his head, a pained expression on his face. "No, Jan Di," he said, taking her hand in his. "I want to start a family with—"

"Ji Hoo Sunbae…" a female voice interrupted from behind them. Ji Hoo and Jan Di turned around to see A-Yeon approaching them with a concerned expression on her face. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important," she said, glancing between Ji Hoo and Jan Di. "I just wanted to talk to you, Ji Hoo Sunbae. Can we have a moment?"

Ji Hoo glanced at Jan Di, his grip on her hand tightening before he reluctantly let go. "Of course, A-Yeon," he replied, giving Jan Di an apologetic look. "We can talk." As A-Yeon led Ji Hoo away, Jan Di watched them go, a mix of emotions swirling inside her.

She couldn't help but wonder what A-Yeon wanted to discuss with Ji Hoo at this hour of the night. Was it something urgent or personal? Jan Di felt a pang of jealousy, but quickly pushed it aside, reminding herself that Ji Hoo was just a friend, and she had no right to stop him from talking to his friends. "I better go back to my tent and get some rest," she thought to herself. "Tomorrow is going to be a long day." With a heavy sigh, Jan Di turned around and headed back towards her tent, hoping that sleep would bring some clarity to her confused emotions.

Once they were alone, A-Yeon turned to Ji Hoo and began, "I heard Jan Di and Gu Jun Pyo have been in a relationship for a while now. It must be tough for you to see them together all the time."

Ji Hoo sighed and nodded, unable to hide the hint of sadness in his eyes. "Yeah, it's not easy," he admitted. "But I just want Jan Di to be happy, even if it's not with me."

"I heard he proposed to her; did she say yes to him?" A-Yeon asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

Ji Hoo's expression turned even more somber as he replied, "No, but with Gu Jun Pyo's character...he might force her even if she isn't sure."

"What do you feel when she said no to him?" A-Yeon asked, concern evident in her voice. Ji Hoo's eyes flickered with a mix of relief and sadness. "She neither said yes nor no. I can't help but feel a glimmer of hope," he confessed. "Maybe, just maybe, there's still a chance for us," he said, turning to watch where they had left Jan Di, but she was nowhere to be seen.

"I think she went back to her tent," A-Yeon said with a hint of disappointment. "Do you think she'll change her mind?"

Ji Hoo shook his head, his expression filled with uncertainty. "I don't know. Gu Jun Pyo's persistence might sway her, even if she isn't sure herself," he replied, his voice tinged with worry.

"If—just if she were to say yes to him..." A-Yeon said, getting closer to Ji Hoo's face.

Ji Hoo's eyes widened as he leaned back slightly, catching A-Yeon's gaze.

"Will…I ever have a chance with you?" A-Yeon's voice trembled with vulnerability as she asked the question, her heart pounding in her chest.

Ji Hoo's eyes softened, his own emotions evident as he reached out to gently touch her hand. "A-Yeon, you've always had a special place in my heart," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. "But right now, the love I have for Geum Jan Di isn't just in my heart; it runs through my blood."

A-Yeon's heart sank as she heard his words, realizing that Ji Hoo's love for Geum Jan Di was unbreakable. She mustered a smile, hiding her disappointment, and nodded understandingly. "I hope she notices what you feel for her," A-Yeon said softly, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness. "You deserve someone who loves you as deeply as you love them." With a heavy heart, she leaned in to kiss his cheek, withdrew her hand from his, and turned away, silently wishing for Ji Hoo's happiness with Geum Jan Di.

"Jan Di!" A-Yeon exclaimed, her eyes widening as Jan Di stood there in a state of shock. "What are you doing here? We thought that you went back to your tent." A-Yeon's voice trembled with concern as she took a step closer to Jan Di. "Is everything alright?"

"Jan Di-ah," Ji Hoo said, approaching her and trying to explain in case she misunderstood the situation. "A-Yeon and I were just talking about something important. It's not what you think."

Jan Di looked at Ji Hoo, her eyes filled with confusion and hurt. She took a deep breath, trying to compose herself before responding. "You don't need to explain anything. I got the answer to what you wanted to say to me. Goodnight sunbae,"

Jan Di coming at the end of the conversation, sees the kiss, she is jealousy. Anyway, that was the first chapter. Your comments are welcome, good or bad.
