The afternoon when PJ and the others saw Maggie burnt out the car and PJ broke down. Everyone was in shock and when word got around town people that knew maggie was even more shocked that someone killed Maggie. When every one return back to the station they all trying to get over the shocked that Maggie was dead and that Barry Craig is the prime suspect in her murder.
PJ was in his office when his phone rang "Hasham… what… yeah ok" then he hung up.
He sat there thinking about what Mick just said on the phone so he stood up and walked out of his office grabbing the keys to the CI car and walked out of the station not saying a word.
When he arrived home he looked around before unlocking the door and walking inside, closing and locking the door. He look around his place to see if there was anything odd out of place till he open the door to his bedroom and was shocked to see who was there
"Oh god Maggie" he stepped forward as she stood up just as he hugged her as he cried. when they pulled apart he kiss her
"I thought you were dead" he kissed her once more
"Mick told me what happen"
"What are you doing here" then he saw her two bags in the corner then he looked at her.
"mick taking me to another safe house"
"when"
"after dark, i sneak in here after Mrs William left to go to the shops so she wouldn't see me"
"How long are you going to be away for"
"don't know" they hug and kiss once more
"I love you Mags"
"I love you to PJ" they kissed once more which became passionate.
They removed each other's clothes and PJ sat on the bed with Maggie on his lap facing him while still kissing.
they spent the next three hours making love, hugging and kissing till there was a knock on the door. PJ got up and put his underwear and pants on then he went to see who it was while Maggie quickly grabbed PJ shirt as she went and hid in his closet. PJ opened the door slowly to see it was Mick. so he opened it further to let him in and lock the door.
"where Maggie"
"I'll get her" PJ return to his bedroom
"Mags it safe" she walked out from the closet wearing his shirt. when he saw her wearing it. it made him smile
"Mick here"
"Yeah"
"OK" PJ went and put his tee shirt on while Maggie got dressed.
PJ picks up her two bags and follows her out to where Mick is passing the bags to him "We got to go now. PJ remember no one must know she alive"
"what about the body in the car" PJ asked
"You will know tomorrow by then Maggie will be in safe house"
"Keep her safe"
"will do" PJ and Maggie hug and kiss
"I love you" PJ said
"i love you to be safe"
"you too" they kiss once more.
PJ watches them leave as tears fall down his cheeks. When the car was gone, he closed his door, learning his head against it as tears falling down his cheeks.
The next day when he showed up to work Tom passed PJ a file "It the results from the body that was in the car. It wasn't Maggie it was cortnery body" PJ opened the file and read what it said.
he closed it and passed it back to Tom then turned around and walked into his office closing the door without saying a word to any one.
Week later Mick showed up at the station "hi guys is PJ here"
"HI Mick yeah he in his office, i'll go and get him"
"how has he been"
"Quiet and distant" Jack said.
Dash knocks on the door then opens it "PJ Mick Doyle here for you" PJ got up from his chair and walked out of his office.
"Mick"
"PJ" they shook hands just as Tom walk out of his office shaking Mick hand
"This is a surprise Mick what are you doing here"
"I'm here to tell you all that Maggie is alive and safe"
"what" they all said in shocked except for PJ
"where is she" Ben asked
"At a safe house, i spoke to her this morning and she said for me to come and tell you all that she is fine and safe, so you don't need worry about where she is"
"Does Pat know?" Tom asked
"Not yet i'll be going down tonight and tell him in person"
"It good news that she ok" Dash said
"Yes it is. PJ are you ok mate" Ben asked when he saw the look on PJ face.
"Yeah i'm fine"
"PJ Maggie asked me to pass a message on to you" PJ look at Mick
"what message"
"don't mope around the office and at home. You got crimes to catch and you can't do that sitting moping in your office all day" Mick said
"wow PJ Maggie knows you too well" Ben said in surprise.
"Well when you work with someone for too long you get to know their habits" PJ said
"That's true," Tom said.
"AH PJ a quiet word in your office before i head back"
"sure" Mick follow PJ to his office when he stop and turn around
"Oh Tom message from Maggie for you" then he smiled "you need to cut back on your chocolate biscuits, pies and vanilla slice, it's no good for your heart" Every one giggles or chuckled including PJ.
"she right boss" Dash said
"Thanks a lot McKinley, for that you can make me a coffee and get me two tim tams" he walked into his office, closing the door.
Mick turns to smiling PJ then follows him into his office closing the door behind him. PJ turned around once the door was closed. "Is Maggie really ok"
"Yes she is, she told me to tell you that she is fine and she misses you"

"she also said for you to carry on like everything is normal and will return soon as she could and that she please that she would spend those three hours with you before leaving"
"shame it wasn't longer thanks for telling me"

"I do she the love of my life and i miss her"

"Yeah, thanks for telling me. Next time she calls let her know that i miss her like crazy"
"will do, you take care PJ"
"thanks Mick" then Mick walks out of PJ office just as Dash walk in PJ
"there been burgery on Wilson street, Mr Brown"
"thanks Dash, what number"

"Why not" then she turns and walks out the door with PJ behind her.
