I don't own Naruto.
Both Suzumi and Kakashi continued talking for a while. And in that time Kakashi learned that Suzumi had taught herself by just watching other Shinobi train. He was really impressed from her. But soon the time for him to leave came. He stood up to walk when she called him. "Can I come with you to your home?"
"No."
"But why?" She whined and looked at him with puppy dog eyes.
She looked so cute but he wouldn't be falling for her tricks. "Because I said so."
"You big meanie." She pouted and looked away.
Kakashi just smiled at her antics. He didn't want her to know where he lived because he didn't want her to get attached to him and nor he wanted to get attached to her. He didn't want her to die just because he was cursed. With those depressing thoughts he left the training field, without hearing the mischievous giggles of the girl he just left behind.
A few minutes later, Kakashi was walking through the streets of Konoha to get to his apartment. A girl was trailing him, without him noticing.
Suzumi was just curious where he lived and since he rejected her offer to let her see his home, she has decided to follow him or more like stalking but she would never admit that she was stalking him. And besides he had said so himself that she was pretty good at hiding herself and should be proud of her abilities. And she was doing just that. Following and hiding from an Anbu to see how good was she at her abilities. She was just practicing and testing herself. Yes, that's what she was doing right now. Getting to know where he lived was just an added bonus.
And besides he hadn't found out she was following him and wished that he wouldn't find out until they reached his home.
After a few more minutes of walking, they finally reached his home. He unlocked the door and walked inside. She just smiled like a mad scientist and began her journey towards home with thoughts of how she would surprise him by coming to his home one day.
After stepping inside and locking his door, he breathed a sigh of relief. The minute she had started following him, he had found out. Maybe she was good at hiding herself from chunins but not from an Anbu. She was still a civilian and to be able to hide yourself from Anbu, you need a lot of years practice.
But why hadn't he stopped her? Why had he let her follow him? If he had wanted he could have easily lost her. But he didn't. Why?
'Maybe because you finally need a friend.' said an inside voice.
No, I don't.Kakashi replied back.
'Keep telling yourself that.'
Maybe I do want a friend. But I don't want her to die because of me.
'She's a civilian. She wouldn't die early. Give her a chance.'
Kakashi didn't reply to that. Maybe he was going mad. Maybe being in Anbu has finally snapped his mind and that's why he was hearing voices in his head. He needed a mission and quickly to stop his thoughts.
He quickly changed into his Anbu gear, locked his door and started running to the Hokage tower.
