Zoa nodded at Seth and he opened the door. There was no one on the left side of the building as expected. They both crept down the stairs to a floor below and then walked down a long hallway until they could cross over to the other side. She looked around the corner and counted everyone standing by the end of the hallway waiting for the right side tower to be free of gas so they could move up there.

"18," she whispered. "I got nine bullets left."
"I still have ten rounds in mine," he said.
"Half for each. I'll take the right side. Don't waste a fucking bullet," she said.
"I never do," he said.
"Still cocky," she smirked. "Ready?"
"Ready," he said.

They moved around the corner with their guns raised. She moved right and he moved left. Gunshots sounded through the long hallway, and body after body started dropping before any of the 18 people could even figure out what to do. The hallway smelled heavily of gunsmoke and blood.

"I quite like you, Zoa," he chuckled.
"Likewise, Seth," she chuckled too. "Should we get out of here?"
"Not so fast," a female voice said.

They both turned around and saw a couple with guns aimed at them.

"Let me guess," Zoa said. "Karrion and Scarlett?"
"You got it, sweetheart," Karrion said.
"She doesn't like pet names," Seth said.

Zoa looked at Seth and winked. Their partnership might be brand new and only for tonight, but it was already strong. They weren't going down without a fight.

"One bullet left," Seth said.
"Guess we'll have to improvise," Zoa said.
"You weren't supposed to bring guns," Scarlett said.
"And there was supposed to be a target for us here. Guess that makes all of us liars," Zoa said.
"You're the target," Karrion said.
"You're doing a pretty shitty job of that so far," Zoa said.
"What's even the point in all this?" Seth asked.
"The plan is to take over," Karrion said.

Scarlett looked at Karrion and smiled sickening at him before looking at Seth and Zoa again.

"Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose," Scarlett said.
"Yeah, I heard of them," Seth said.
"Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair," Scarlett said.
"They weren't around for long," Zoa said. "She's listing the people they brought here before us."
"So that's why their names are no longer mentioned," Seth said. "We should have a drink for our fallen coworkers."
"Shut up!" Karrion growled.
"He's angry," Zoa chuckled.
"Let her finish!" Karrion yelled.
"Apparently they had a whole show planned," Zoa said.
"Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio!" Scarlett raised her voice.
"Will you just shut up already? We don't care. People die all the time. Get to the point," Seth said.
"Once we've found everyone of you, we will be the only ones left. Us and our team," Karrion said.
"Your team looks pretty dead to me," Zoa said.

Karrion looked at Scarlett. Clearly she was the one in control. She looked at him and reached a hand forward to touch his cheek.

"It's okay, my doom walker. We will gather a new team," Scarlett said.

Her eyes turned dead and blood slowly started running down her forehead. It took a second before Karrion realized there was a knife planted in her forehead.

"Scarlett!" Karrion yelled.
"Your turn," Zoa said.

Seth used his last bullet to take Karrion out of his misery before the other man remembered Seth and Zoa were actually there. He walked over to the dead couple, pulled Zoa's knife out of Scarlett's forehead, and wiped it clean in Scarlett's clothes before handing it back to Zoa.

"Nice shot," he said.
"Thanks," she said. "I never miss with anything."
"I was getting tired of hearing her talk anyway," he said.

They took one last look around and then shrugged at each other.

"Time to leave," he said.

They walked down the stairs to the main floor, unlocked the front door, and walked out. The night was cool and just what they both needed to feel after the battle upstairs.

"Your place or mine?" He asked.
"Nice try. I don't let anyone see where I live, and neither do you," she said.
"Let's get a motel room then," he said.
"Bayley's bed and breakfast is close. I'll meet you there," she said.

He took her hand and pulled her in for a kiss.

"You better," he said.
"I need to get laid just as bad as you do," she said.
"Good," he smirked. "Because I'm not one to leave a woman unsatisfied. I'm gonna fucking break you in the best way possible. And tomorrow..."
"You're gonna leave me a mess on the bed with the bill to pay," she finished his sentence.
"Wow, don't go that far," he laughed. "I'm gonna pay for the motel. You're gonna buy me breakfast. Then we'll go our separate ways and we both won't be able to let the other one go in our minds. Eventually it'll turn into a nice, little hunt to see which one of us will find the other one first."
"You got it all planned out, huh?" She asked.

He kissed her again and ran a hand down between her legs. She whimpered into the kiss by the simple touch outside of her pants.

"Tell me I'm wrong," he said.
"You're not wrong," she said.
"I know," he smirked. "See you at Bayley's in 15 minutes."
"30 minutes. I parked a bit further away," she said.

He chuckled and slowly backed away from her towards the darkness in the direction his own car was parked.

"30 minutes," he said. "I'm gonna make you cum so many times that you'll lose count."
