Chapter 2 Hatake Kakashi

Note: I do not own Naruto. I never visited let alone lived in Japan. I'm just some autistic who lives in suburban upstate New York. Lol.

"This is Naruto's house, isn't it?" Asked Hatake Kakashi. He is wearing a blue ninja outfit, with the leaf villages' ninja headband covering his left eye and the standard green Chunin vest.

"Yes." Said Sarutobi Hiruzen, The Third Hokage. He is wearing his white and red Hokage robes, signaling the leader of The Leaf Village.

'His milk's expired.' Thought Kakashi.

"He's clumsy, but you're the best choice to watch him. You have a talent for sniffing things out!" Said Hiruzen before he lit his tobacco pipe. "What's more, another member of the cell you shall oversee will be Hinata, of the Hyuga Clan. Best of luck!"

'This could be a terrible mission, but…' "I'll do my best!" Shouted Kakashi before a knock on the door was opened revealing a shadow clone of Naruto carrying Hinata's unconscious body.

"How did you get in the house with the old man!?" Shouted Naruto before he carried Hinata towards his bed.

"Naruto, where did you find Hinata unconscious?" Asked Hiruzen, hoping Naruto's intentions were noble.

"Oh, she just passed out and I couldn't leave her out in the open. I didn't know where her manor was. So I decided to make some lunch in my apartment for us before we meet our sensei."

'Seems like he's a lot like you Minato…You couldn't understand social norms if your life depended on it…' Thought Kakashi. "Well Naruto. I hope we meet again. I have someone to visit before our training begins." The Jonin then waved goodbye before he left the room.

"Is he my sensei?" Asked Naruto in confusion.

"Yes Naruto. The man you crossed paths with is Hatake Kakashi. He was a former Anbu agent before he resigned from Anbu duties to become a sensei following the Hyuuga Massacre. He may be unconventional but his teaching is very fair. I have matters to attend to Naruto. Take care." Said Hiruzen before he disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Hinata yawned before she rubbed her eyes before not recognizing where she was.

'Great…Was I taken advantage of…or even placed in an insane asylum…Just fucking great…' Thought Hinata before she got up and opened the door revealing Naruto watering one of his plants. "Naruto where am I? And what did you do?"

"You passed out Hinata and I couldn't leave you alone. Since I didn't have a clue in the slightest where the Hyuuga Manor is I decided to keep an eye on you and cook us lunch before you wake up." Hinata took a whiff and Naruto was cooking pork ramen…Gross since Hinata can't stand any type of noodles, but kind, nevertheless.

"Thank you. I'm not a fan of ramen but I appreciate the offer." Said Hinata.

"You're loss." Said Naruto before he quickly gobbled up Hinata's ramen like a pig.

'I used to eat like that until I was forced not to. Poor Naruto having no one teaching him social norms.' Sure, Hinata still struggled and often misunderstood complex to even intermediate social norms, but she could at least understand proper table manners, something Naruto was never taught. "Naruto?"

"Hm…"

"Next time when you eat in public, whether in a restaurant or in someone's house make sure you chew your mouth shut. It makes people uncomfortable."

"Why?"

Hinata sighed before she said "It's what society does. They don't like when people…people like us…do…weird things even though it's natural for us…"

"Do you have the Ninetails too?"

"Thankfully no. I wasn't born when the Kyuubi attack happened. But my aunt died in the attack, and so did many top ninja's both current and potential futures. I'm different as well…just… not in the traditional sense…"

"Sorry about your aunt Hinata."

"Don't worry about it, Naruto-kun. If there's anything you should feel bad for it's my cousin Neji though he's dead. He may be an abusive asshole…but it was not his fault…"

"You should blame people for being abusive themselves."

"That's kind of harsh don't you think?" Asked Hinata in confusion.

"So is never having a family at all." Said Naruto bitterly.

"So is losing your entire family!" Shouted Hinata

"I'm…sorry…I crossed a line…"

"Apology accepted. I crossed one as well."

"Call it even?"

"Sounds good."

"Anyway, why were you crying in the academy?"

"It's stupid…" Murmured Hinata.

"I call that bull! No one cries uncontrollably to the point where they pass out if it's stupid."

Hinata sighed in sorrow before she said, "Have you ever heard of PTSD?"

"Not much, but I have eavesdropped in it a few times."

"As you know I'm the sole survivor of The Hyuuga Massacre caused by Hyuuga Takako. She is now known as The Parasitic Branch."

"What was she like before…you know…"

"I'll fill in the details…Takako was the strongest shinobi the clan had since the village's founding. She was raised as the clan's personal weapon and graduated the academy at the age of 6 alongside her childhood friends Uchiha Itachi, and Uchiha Shisui."

"Six that's insane…"

"Not as insane as joining Anbu alongside Itachi at the ripe age of eight." Said Hinata in a blunt tone.

"Wow…" said Naruto as his eyes widened.

"That's when both Itachi and Takako lost their humanity and became heartless weapons for their respective clans and village…Her change was so terrifying and unsettling that she was viewed amongst the main clan and the clan elders with constant paranoia, especially when rumor was, she found a cure of the cage bird seal."

"What's that?" Asked Naruto in curiosity.

"It's basically a slave collar that can blow people's brains." Said Hinata, bluntly.

"What the fuck…? That's not right…"

"The world is fucked up Naruto-Kun…Takako became so wicked that she was forbidden to even babysit her own brother…Neji who may have been a douchebag…but at least he had emotions unlike Takako and Itachi who both only seem to care about a select few individuals…Turns out Takako orchestrated a civil war between the clans…Then she killed both sides while they butchered each other's children…No one was safe from The Hyuuga Massacre…The only ones who survived…We me, Hanabi my sister and Neji my cousin…" Years began to fall from Hinata's eyes before she continued. "They went missing shortly after…I think they were killed…My only purpose in life is to kill Takako to avenge my clan and then restart it…If it weren't for that I would be six feet under…Via suicide…"

Naruto hugged Hinata as the Hyuuga slowly hugged him back. "Please don't do that Lady-Hinata. What if Neji and Hinata did survive? They would be delighted to see you!"

"Perhaps...We really should be going back to class and meeting our sensei. We've wasted enough time…Thanks for the talk, Naruto-Kun…I appreciate it…" Said Hinata as she closed her eyes and revealed a rare smile as a blush appeared on her cheek.

"Thanks…Lady-Hinata…anything for a friend…"

"We're friends?" Asked Hinata in confusion.

"I think we are after everything that happened. Besides I don't like admitting this…but you seem nice…even though you're a bit weird…":

"I'll take it as a compliment."

"Sorry for being late Sasuke. Me and Hinata got sidetracked." Said Naruto as he and Hinata entered the room.

"Don't worry about it," said Sasuke. "Our sensei is so late I'm starting to wonder if he really does care."

"Maybe it's she for all we know." Said Hinata.

"Doesn't change the fact that their lazy." Hinata sighed before Naruto opened the door and peeked at the hallway.

"Why are we the only cell…Whose teacher hasn't shown up yet?! All the other teams have already gone off with their teachers. Even Master Iruka has gone!" Shouted Naruto got a stool and a chalkboard eraser.

"Naruto what are you doing?! We have to make a good first impression instead of pulling stunts!" Said Sasuke before sighing in frustration.

"There they go again…" Murmured Hinata.

"It's what he gets for making us wait!" Shouted Naruto.

"No way could a superior shinobi be caught by such a simple booby trap." Said Sasuke.

"Haha, you said boobie."

"What the hell, Naruto?"

"There they go again…" Murmured Hinata. The door opened, revealing Kakashi who got fooled by the booby trap.

Naruto laughed before he screamed "Gotcha! Good one!"

"I'm sorry sensei. I tried to stop Naruto, but he wouldn't listen." Said Sasuke.

'So…This is our elite shinobi leader? He looks completely worthless!' Thought Hinata in anger.

"Hmm…How shall I put this? Based on my first impressions, I'd have to say…I HATE YOU!" Screamed Kakashi

"Now, I'd like you all to tell us a little about yourselves." Said Kakashi.

"Like what?" Asked Naruto.

"...You know. The usual. Your favorite thing…What you hate most…Dreams, ambitions, hobbies. Things like that."

"Help us out here, coach. You go first. Show us how it's done."

"Naruto's right…After all, you're a complete stranger to us…A mystery." Said Sasuke.

"Oh…Me? My name is Hatake Kakashi. I'm the kind of person who doesn't feel like talking about his likes and dislikes! My dreams for the future are none of your business…But anyway, I have lots of hobbies…"

"Hey…He said a lot…," said Naruto.

"...But all we really learned was his name." Said Sasuke.

"Now, it's your turn. Starting with you on the right." Said Kakashi.

"Me, right? My name is Uzumaki Naruto! What I like is instant cup ramen! What I like even better is when Master Iruka treats me to ramen at the Ichiraku Noodle Bar! What I hate is the three-minute wait after I pour in the boiling water." Said Naruto.

'He appears to have nothing more on his mind than ramen…' Thought Kakashi.

"My dream is to one day…Be a better shinobi than Lord Hokage! And then all the villagers will have to acknowledge my existence at last!"

Kakashi's right eye widened before he thought 'Well, hasn't he turned out interesting…'

"My hobbies are…Gardening, pranks, practical jokes and training with Sasuke."

'I see…' Thought Kakashi before he shouted "Next!"

"My name is Hyuuga Hinata. There are plenty of things I hate, but I don't see that it matters, considering there is almost nothing I do like. It seems pointless to talk about "dreams"...That's just a word…But what I do have is determination. I plan to restore my clan. And there's someone I have sworn…to kill."

'And people think only Uchiha can feel hatred.' Thought Sasuke in genuine surprise.

'It must be that Takako lady she told me.' Thought Naruto.

'...I suspected as much…' Thought Kakashi.

"And finally…The young Uchiha…'

"I am Uchiha Sasuke. My favorite thing is my brother Itachi and my sister-in-law Izumi and my niece Mina along with my close friend Naruto." Said Sasuke

"Thanks Sasuke!" Shouted Naruto.

"My dream is to prove myself as a capable shinobi not just to the village but to my clan and loved ones. My hobbies are training with Naruto and my younger peers."

'It seems like Sasuke is still finding himself,' Thought Kakashi. 'He reminds me of you, Obito.' Kakashi collected himself from his sorrowful thoughts before he said "Enough. I believe we all understand each other. Formal training begins tomorrow."

"Yes sir!" Shouted Naruto as he saluted Kakashi. "What will our duties be?! Our first real shinobi mission!"

"Our first project involves only the members of this cell."

"What is it?" Asked Naruto.

"Survival exercises."

"Survival exercises?"

"But you'll have to survive… against me. It won't be your typical practice."

"Well, then, what kind of practice will it be?" Asked Naruto causing Kakashi to laugh in response.

"Well, what are you laughing at?!"

"Oh, nothing, it's just that…If I told you, you'd chicken out."

"Chicken out…? Why?!"

"Naruto, did you forget when I told you what would happen if you'd pass the Genin exam?" Asked Sasuke in a stern yet fair tone.

"Uh…?"

"Of the twenty-seven members of your graduating class, only nine will actually be accepted as Junior level shinobi. The other eighteen must go back for more training. The test we are about to perform has a 66% rate of failure." Naruto had a face filled with shock.

Kakashi laughed before he said "See? You're chickening out already!"

"That sucks! We have been through it all! What about our graduation test?!" Screamed Naruto as he went on a rant-filled tirade.

"Oh! We wanted to eliminate all the hopeless cases from your ranks. The ones who are left are the only students who show true potential."

"Say what?!"

"In any event, we'll meet tomorrow morning on the practice field so that I can evaluate each of your skills and weaknesses. Bring all of your ninja tools and weapons. And don't have breakfast beforehand…Unless you enjoy throwing up."

'No way will I let this set me back. I'll kick Master Kakashi's butt! Then I'll get some respect! Yeah!' Thought Naruto.

"The details of your assignment are in this holdout, memorize it…and don't be late!"

'I can't fail! That would mean being a failure to my clan…This is a test I can't be inferior to Itachi…and him once again…' Thought Sasuke, in determination.

'I have an idea. It's the question of if Hinata and Naruto would listen.' Thought Hinata.

'Aw man! It's all in kanji!' Thought Naruto as he struggled to decipher the papers.

"Naruto, Sasuke. I have an idea for team bonding." Said Hinata.

"What is it, Lady Hinata?" Asked Naruto.

"I was wondering if you and Sasuke can sleep over at my manor and do some training beforehand. That way we can trust each other more and be prepared when we sleep in close proximity with each other."

"I'm down. I just have to let my parents know. What about you Naruto?" Asked Sasuke.

"I'm all in. Lead the way Lady-Hinata." Said Naruto

"One last thing. I think you and Sasuke should enter the manor at the same time. To be blunt the manor is haunted."

"What?"

Yes, both Hinata and Naruto are autistic in this story as I headcanon them as such. Hinata is bisexual while Sasuke is aromantic. I support the LGBTQ+ community and I will die proud of it especially when I'm asexual myself. Naruto is a heterosexual who doesn't understand LGBTQ+ community like I did during my childhood years. Basically, Sasuke is the token neurotypical friend while Naruto is the token straight friend. Lol.
