Luke rode a Tauntaun across the surface of Hoth. Something landed nearby. "Echo three to Echo Seven. Han ole buddy do you read me? "Luke asked as he talked into the comm. "What's up? "Han asked. "I don't see anything here. "Luke replied. "There isn't enough life on this ice cube to fill a drink. The beacons are in place. I am heading back. "Han replied. "I am going to check out a meteorite that landed nearby and then I will head back. Luke out. "Luke said. Luke's tauntaun got upset. "What's a matter girl. Easy. Easy. "Luke tried to calm it down. Suddenly something knocked him off his mount. Han returned to Echo Base and the command center where Leia and Padme were. "Luke went to check out a meteorite that landed nearby. "Han explained. "With all the meteorite activity in this system it's going to be difficult to spot approaching ships. "A rebel officer said. "That bounty hunter we ran into got me thinking. I am a dead man if I don't pay off Jabba the Hunt. "Han said. "You a good man and I hate to lose you. "The officer said. "Well princess I am not much for goodbyes. "Han left the command center and headed down the hall. Leia caught up to him and Padme appeared next to her. "Han, we need you. We need you. You need me. "Han replied. A man walked between them and continued. "Come on. "Han said. "I don't know where you get your delusions lasers brains. "Leia said. "You could use a good kiss. "Han said as he stormed off. Leia turned to Padme. "You enjoyed that didn't you? "Leia asked her mother. "No, it was kind of sad. He likes you. "Padme replied. "You must be cold dressed like that. "Leia said as her mother still wore the same blue steel nightgown. "The temperature doesn't bother me nor do I get frost bite. I once swam naked in the lava ocean around Darth Vader's fortress on Mustafar trying to bring Anakin back to the light and I didn't get a burn. "Padme replied. "Lucky you. "Leia groaned as she headed on.
Han and Chewie were working on the Millennium Falcon. Chewie powered up some systems and small explosions occurred. "Shut it off! "Han yelled as Chewbacca turned the power off. "Captain Solo! Captain Solo! "Threepio shouted as he ran to the Falcon. "What do you want goldenrod? "Han asked. "It's Princess Leia. She has been trying to get you on the communicator. "Threepio explained. "I turned it off. I don't want to talk to her. "Han replied. "It's about Master Luke. He hasn't returned yet. "Threepio said. "Deck officer! Deck officer! "Han shouted as he covered Threepio's vocorder. "Do you think it's possible Skywalker came in the south entrance? "Han asked. "It's possible. "The officer replied. "Possible. Why don't you go check it out? "Han asked. The officer went to the south entrance where other rebels were working with tauntauns. "Did Skywalker come in here? "The officer asked. "No he didn't. 'A rebel replied. Han appeared in the room. "Skywalker didn't come this way. "The officer said. "What about the speeders are they ready? "Han asked. "We are having trouble adapting them to the cold. "A rebel replied. "Then we will go out on tauntauns. "Han said as he climbed on to one. "Your tauntaun will freeze before you reach the first marker. "A rebel warned. "I will see you in hell. "Han said as he headed out.
Luke was hanging upside down in a cave with a wampa nearby when Padme found him. Luke tried to call his lightsaber to him. "Luke I will take care of that wampa. "Padme said. "Mother you can't take on that thing. "Luke replied. Padme made herself visible to the creature and it tried to attack her. Its claws went through her repeatedly. She flew around it causes it to become confused. She kicked it in the groin causing it pain. The creature ran into a wall holding its groin area. Luke finally got his lightsaber into his hand and cut himself free. Luke ran outside with Padme following him. Luke fell as the cold caused him to fall. Obi wan as a ghost appeared in front of him. "Luke you must go to the Dagobah system. There you will find Yoda the jedi master who trained me. "Obi wan said. "Ben! Ben!" Luke cried. "What about Leia? Should she go with him to Dagobah as well? "Padme asked. Neither got a response from Obi wan. As Obi wan's image faded Han appeared on a Tauntaun. Han jumped off it and ran to Luke. "Ben Ben. "Luke cried. "Kid it's alright. "Han said as he helped Luke. Then the Tauntaun fell to the ground dead. Han used Luke's lightsaber to open the Tauntaun and put Luke inside. "I thought they smelled bad on the outside. "Han groaned. "I will get the shelter built. "Han said. Next day a snowspeeder pilot found them. Luke was put into a bacta tank to heal. Later Luke was lying in a hospital bed when Leia and Padme visited him. "You look worse for wear. "Leia said. "I got caught by a wampa. "Luke groaned. "I taught it a lesson not to mess with my son. "Padme replied. "I wish Anakin was here helping us. "Padme said. "She misses him. "Leia said to Luke. "I wonder why she died of heart break. "Luke asked. "It must have been true love between them and when father fell it broke mother's heart. "Leia explained. "It is true love, and we were linked by the force. "Padme said. "The jedi didn't know that we were force linked otherwise they would have known loving attachments were good. "Padme continued. Han, Chewie, and C3PO came in. "Master Luke it is so good to see you fully functional again. "Threepio said. "Well Leia you have managed to keep me around a little longer. "Han said. "I had nothing to do with. "Leia replied. "I think you just can't let a good-looking guy like me out of your sight. "Han said. "Why you scruffy looking nerf herder. "Leia groaned. Chewie and Padme laughed. "Laugh it up fuzzball. "Han groaned. "Command personnel to the command center. "The PA said. Everyone left Luke alone. Leia met the general in the command center. "Princess, we have an intruder on the south range. "The general said. He played a recording of a transmission the probe made. "I am fluent in 6 million forms of communication. This is something new. It could be an imperial signal. "Threepio said. "It's trouble. "Padme replied. "Chewie and I will look at it. "Han said. Han and Chewbacca went outside. Han saw the probe droid and it fired on him. Chewie roared and the droid turned its attention to him. Han fired and the probe droid exploded. "I didn't hit it too hard. It must have had a self-destruct system. A droid of some kind. "Han explained. "An imperial probe droid. "Leia replied. "Good bet the empire knows we're here. "Han said. "We better start the evacuation. "Leia said. "I better see what the empire knows. "Padme said and she disappeared.
The Executor flew in the middle of a fleet of star destroyers getting into formation. Admiral Ozzel stood on the bridge of the Super Star Destroyer Executor when an officer called him over. "What do you have?" Admiral Ozzel asked. "From a probe droid in the Hoth System. "The officer said as he showed and image of the shield generator on the screen. "That is the system. "Darth Vader said as he came up behind the admiral. Padme appeared by his side. "It could be smugglers or pirates. "Admiral Ozzel said. "That is the system and Skywalker is with them. Set your course for the Hoth System. "Vader ordered. "Big new ship. What happened to the Devastator? "Padme asked. "Reassigned to this fleet. We have found the rebels. "Vader said. "They will be long gone by the time you get there. "Padme replied. "Palpatine wasn't happy after that stunt you pulled on him with the dianoga. "Vader said. "Served him right after what he did to Alderaan. "Padme replied. She disappeared and returned to Hoth.
Leia was speaking to rebel soldiers and pilots in the hanger. "The shield can only be open for a few minutes so stick very close to your transport. "Leia said. "Two fighters against a star destroyer? "A pilot groaned. "The ion cannon with fire a couple of shots to cover you. Good luck. "Leia said. She headed for the command center and Padme followed her. "Vader knows you're here and he is coming. "Padme warned. "Great and next you will be telling me Palpatine is outside the base. "Leia groaned. "No just Vader and his fleet. "Padme replied and she disappeared. 'We have detected star destroyers approaching the planet. "A rebel said. "Activate the shield. 'Leia ordered.
Padme appeared in Vader's meditation chamber. "We have detected a shield over a section of the planet. "A general told Vader. "Admiral Ozzel brought us out of lightspeed too close the planet. "Vader said. "He is as clumsy as he is stupid. General prepare your troops for a surface attack. "Vader order. Vader turned around to face a big view screen on the wall. "Don't even think of doing anything stupid. "Padme warned. "Silence Padme. "Vader ordered. Admiral Ozzel appeared on the screen. "Lord Vader the fleet has moved out of lightspeed, and we are preparing to." Ozzel started choking. "You have failed me for the last time Admiral Ozzel. "Vader said as he force choked the Admiral. "Stop! He just made a mistake! "Padme screamed. "Captain Piett deploy the fleet so nothing gets off the system. You are in command now Admiral Piett. "Vader said. "He's definitely a keeper. Poor Ozzel. "Padme said as she looked over Vader's shoulder. Vader turned the screen off. "That is the price for failure. "Vader said. "It's too high a price. "Padme groaned and she left. Darth Vader could not stand that his wife had achieved immortality while he had not. He still blamed Anakin for her death and wished he could be with her. She would not accept him as long as he was Palpatine's puppet. She kept tormenting him for failing her. She also tormented Palpatine for taking her husband away, which Vader liked seeing.
Padme returned to Hoth just as the attack began. She stood by Leia in the command center. A rebel soldier in a trench used macro binoculars and spotted several AT-AT walkers approaching. "We have imperial walkers on the north ridge. "The solider said into his commlink. "Imperial walkers on the north ridge was heard on the PA throughout the base as some ice fell on Artoo. Luke boarded a snowspeeder and launched. He reached the north ridge and started shooting at the AT-ATs. The blasters had no effect. "That armor is too strong for blasters. Rogue ground use harpoons and tow cables. Go for the legs. "Luke ordered. "Luke's gunnder Dack tried to fire the harpoon, but the control panel shorted and knocked him out. "Dack. Dack? "Luke called. "Wedge, I have lost my gunner. You will have to make the next pass. "Luke called. Wedge flew past the AT-AT as his gunner fired the harpoon pulling the tow cable with it. The Harpoon caught on one of the legs and the speeder kept circling it until the line had been paid out and then the end was released from the back of the speeder. The AT-AT tripped on the cable and fell. The snowspeeders shot into the vents behind the neck and it exploded. "I would give my right arm for a few AT-TEs. "Padme groaned. "They just brought one down mother. "Leia said. "So what? There are more out there. "Padme groaned. Luke was leading another speeder to launch a harpoon when it got shot down. Luke's speeder gets hit and he crashes. Luke struggles to get some supplies out of the speeder as an AT-AT closes in. It is about to step on the speeder when Luke gets out and runs. Luke runs under an AT-AT and fires a magnetic harpoon up at it. He then uses it to pull himself up to the hatch. Luke uses his lightsaber to open the hatch and throws a bomb into it. He drops from the AT-AT and watches the underside explode and then it falls over. He races back toward the base.
Generals Veers targeted the shield generator from his AT-AT and destroyed it. Echo base shock as the generator exploded. Han found Leia still in the command center. "You have your clearance to leave. Why haven't you? "Leia asked Han. Padme stood near Leia. "I just want to make sure you get to your ship your highness come on! "Han shouted. Leia turned to a technician sitting nearby. "Imperial troops have entered the base. "A soldier said over the comm. "Give the evacuation signal and get to your transport. "Leia ordered. Leia ran down the hall with Han. Padme flew beside her. Suddenly chucks of ice fell blocking the corridor. "I can have this out of the way in no time. "Padme said. Padme raises her hands and melts the ice away. "We can take the Falcon. "Han says as he urges Leia to follow him. "That hunk of junk will never get off the ground. "Padme warned. "I hope to prove you wrong. "Han groaned. Suddenly they heard fighting and headed the other way towards the Falcon. Darth Vader entered Echo Base with some snowtroopers. They reached the hanger with the Falcon waiting and Han grabbed C3PO out of a corridor in which he was waiting. They ran up the ramp. The Millennium Falcon's engines wouldn't start. "I told you this thing won't fly. "Padme warned. Han went over to the engineering panel in the main hold. "How's this? "Han asked. "Would it help if I got out and pushed? "Leia asked. Han made some adjustments and headed to the cockpit. "Captain Solo! "Threepio called. Han put his finger up. "It can wait. "Threepio said. 'Let's hope we don't have a burnout. "Han said as he tried to start the engines. They didn't start. Snowtroopers set up a blaster cannon to fire at the ship when a blaster cannon dropped from under the Falcon and shot them. Han tried again. "One, Two," Han shouted as the engines came to life and the ship flew out of the hanger. Darth Vader watched the Falcon take off.
Luke boarded his X-Wing with Artoo and took off following the last transport leaving the planet. After escorting it past the imperial fleet he set course for Dagobah. "No Artoo we are not going to the rendezvous with the fleet. We are going to Dagobah. "Luke explained. He jumped into hyperspace.
The Falcon was flying through the imperial fleet by chased by TIE fighters. Everyone was in the cockpit. "I see them. "Han said. "Star Destroyers. "Han continued. "Watch this. "Han said as he pushed a lever. Nothing happened. "Watch what? "Leia asked. "Captain Solo if I may I noticed that the hyperdrive motivator is damaged. It's impossible to go to lightspeed. "Threepio said. "I could have told them that. "Padme replied. Han was in a pit in the main hold making repairs. "That's not it. Chewie bring me the hydro spanners. "Han ordered. Chewie put a toolbox near the opening. "We may never get out of this. "Han said as he picked a hydro spanner and went to work. Suddenly the ship shock and the toolbox fell on to Han. "Owe! "Han screamed. "Han get up here! "Leia shouted. Han headed to the cockpit. He looked out the windows. "Asteroids! "Leia shouted. "Good. "Han replied as he sat down and flew into the asteroid field. "You're not actually flying into an asteroid field? "Leia asked. "They would be crazy to follow us. "Han replied. "The odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field are 11,000,000 to one. "Threepio said. "Never tell me the odds. "Han groaned. "Oww he is still doing that. If you only knew how many times Anakin and I heard the odds from him. "Padme groaned. Han flew around asteroids as TIE fighters crashed into them. "Ugghh! "Threepio shouted. Han flew towards a big asteroid towards its surface and down a narrow canyon causing more TIEs to crash. He pulled up and flew around the asteroids. 'Let's get closer to one of the big ones. "Han said. "That looks good. "Han said as he pointed to something on the surface. "What looks good? "Leia asked. "That cave. "Han replied as he flew into the cave and landed.
Luke approached Dagobah. "Well, I am not reading any cities or technology down there. "Luke said. Artoo beeped. "It's perfectly safe for droids. "Luke said as he started his descent into the atmosphere. Luke was in trouble as he approached the surface. 'I know all the scopes are dead. I can't see a thing. I am going to start the land sequence. "Luke said. There was a splash of water as the X-wing landed in a swamp. Luke shut everything down and got out. Padme appeared beside him. "Looks like you got into a little trouble. "Padme said. Artoo came out of the astromech socket. "No Artoo stay there. "Luke warned. Artoo flew off the fighter. "Artoo! "Luke shouted. A periscope appeared from the swamp. "Artoo you be careful okay and Artoo that way. "Luke pointed towards the shore. Luke made it to shore. Artoo shrieked and disappeared. "I will get him. "Padme said as she dropped below the water. She pulled a creature out of the water with force pull and held it up. "Drop it! "Padme shouted as she shook the creature until it split artoo out. The droid landed on the shore and Padme dropped the creature back into the swamp. "Stupid thing. "Padme groaned. Luke checked out Artoo. "Your lucky you don't taste very good. "Luke said. A panel on Artoo's dome opened and water splashed out.
Vader stood on the bridge of the Executor. "They went into the asteroid field. "Piett said. "Asteroids do not concern me. I want that ship. "Vader said. "Yes, my lord. "Piett replied. Luke had set up camp. "You ready for some power Artoo? "Luke asked the droid as he plugged him into a generator. "This place is familiar like part of a dream. I feel like. "Luke was cutoff. "You feel like what? "A little green creature asked. "Like we are being watched. "Luke said as he drew his blaster. 'Away put your weapon. I mean you no harm. "Yoda said. "About time. "Padme said. "I am looking for someone. "Luke said. "Found someone you have. 'Yoda said. "I am looking for a great warrior. "Luke said. "Wars not make one great. "Yoda said. "I am looking for a jedi master. "Luke said. "Yoda. You seek Yoda. "Yoda said. "You know where he is? "Luke asked. Yoda went through Luke's stuff. "Hey that's my dinner. "Luke groaned. "How do you grow eating stuff like that? "Yoda asked. Yoda pulled out a small light and Artoo tried to grab it with one of his arms. "Mine! Mine!" Yoda said as he banged his stick on Artoo. "Artoo let him have it. 'Luke ordered. Artoo let go. Yoda started to walk away using the light to lead Luke. "Come on. Come on. Take you to him I will. "Yoda said. "Cut the jokes already. "Padme groaned. She got no response and left.
