The moon was high above Jubilife Village as most of the residents were asleep. Up on the roof of the guys temporary home, Trap Ash sat up with Pikachu.

"I'm missing you a lot right now Serena, and I promise I'm coming home soon, but this place still needs my and the others' help still." Trap Ash said, looking at his ring. "This world might be new, but we caused trouble simply by arriving here."

'Click, slide, shuffle.'

"Wait what is that, the guys should be at the bay still right now." Trap Ash said, seeing a figure walk out of the house, holding a large bag, poking out of it, he could even see a few plates. "Oh no, you aren't taking those! Greninja let's go! Use Night Slash!"

Trap Ash, Pikachu, and Greninja leapt off of the roof, startling the thief.

"No, you're not the one I wanted to see!" The thief exclaimed.

"Yeah, I've heard that one before. Greninja get the plates!"

"Gallade stop them!"

A Gallade appeared trading blows with Greninja as the thief backed up.

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Trap Ash said, pointing straight up.

At the beach

"Guys look, a bolt of electricity." Seer Ash said.

"Skirt is still there, do you think they got into trouble?" Coordinator Ash asked.

"Let's go and find out." Ark added. "Come on Grumpy this might be another golden Pokemon."

"Right." Pokemon Master Ash said.

Back in the village

"Greninja use Double Team!"

"Gallade use Teleport!"

Greninja formed multiple clones as Gallade warped around.

"Stop running!" Trap Ash said.

"I just need answers!" The thief exclaimed.

"Greninja use Water Shuriken!"

A water shuriken sliced through the air, knocking Gallade down and the bag out of the thief's hands, scattering all the plates.

"Skirt!" Coordinator Ash yelled running up. "What's going on?"

"This guy was stealing the plates!" Trap Ash said, pulling the thief's mask away. "Benji?"

"I told you I wasn't stealing them. I just needed answers and the only way I knew I could get one of you alone was by taking these." Benji said.

"Yeah, that still doesn't sound great." Ark commented, picking up some of the plates.

"We should turn him in." Seer Ash said. "Let Kamado know what he did."

"Wait, let me just have one battle, if you win I'll tell you everything." Benji said.

"You really are risking fighting me again?" Trap Ash said.

"Not you. Him." Benji said, pointing at Coordinator Ash.

A few minutes later

"Alright, this will be a three on three battle. Each competitor can only use one Pokemon at a time, when all three Pokemon from either side are knocked out the battle will be over." Trap Ash said. "Ready, battle begin!"

"Flygon let's go!" Benji called out.

"Altaria take the stage!" Coordinator Ash exclaimed.

"Anyone else seen a Flygon here yet?" Ark asked.

"Nope." Pokemon Master Ash asked.

"Doesn't mean they aren't here." Trap Ash said.

"First one I've ever seen." Seer Ash said.

"Flygon use Dragon Claw!" Benji called out.

"Altaria use Dragon Pulse!" Coordinator Ash exclaimed.

Altaria swooped away, from Flygon's claw before sending out a burst of energy causing them to tumble back in the air.

"Flygon use Crunch!"

"Altaria use Heat Wave!"

Flygon came in close, before being knocked back by Altaria's attack.

"Now Altaria use Mirror Move!"

Altaria swooped in, landing an artificial crunch attack on Flygon knocking the dragon type out in the process.

"Flygon come on back!" Benji called out.

"Is anyone seeing his Pokeballs?" Ark asked.

"No, it's too dark, but I'm not seeing him throw them either." Trap Ash said, watching intensely.

"Cacturne come on out!"

"Altaria return! I choose you Typhlosion!"

"Cacturne use Sandstorm!"

"Typhlosion use Lava Plume!"

Sand whipped around the battlefield, obscuring Cacturne as Typhlosion sent out their attack at the grass type.

"Cacturne use Pin Missile!"

"Typhlosion use Hidden Power!"

A series of orbs shot out from Typhlosion's back, blocking the Pin Missile attack as it drew near.

"Typhlosion use Brick Break!"

"Cacturne use Needle Arm!"

"I don't get it, why isn't Bow tie going for the heavier hitting attacks, a few Lava Plume's would've taken out this Cacturne no problem." Ark commented.

"He knows something or is figuring something out that we don't know just yet." Trap Ash said, watching as the two Pokemon locked arms in combat.

"Typhlosion use Eruption!"

"Cacturne use Drain Punch!"

The two Pokemon were engulfed in flames as a pillar shot up into the night sky, as the flames died down, both Pokemon were knocked out on top of one another.

"Typhlosion return! Pikachu let's do this!"

"Gallade let's go!"

"Pikachu use Shock Wave!"

"Gallade use Psycho Cut!"

Gallade sliced right through the electrical attack, rushing right at Pikachu with his other blade.

"Pikachu use Iron Tail!"

"Gallade use Teleport!"

Gallade rushed at Pikachu, teleporting as soon as the two came into contact with one another, moving from building to building across the village, before teleporting back in front of the group both Pokemon exhausted.

"I had a feeling it was you, when I saw you battling the other day." Benji said, walking over. "It's good to see you again Sensei."

"SENSEI!?" Ark, Trap Ash, Pokemon Master Ash, and Seer Ash all exclaimed.

"Wally, what happened to you, Brendan said you never showed up at his dad's lab, but that was a few weeks ago, I mean you look…." Coordinator Ash said, trying to find the right words.

"Like it's been closer to 50 years since we last saw each other." Benji said. "Yeah, I don't know what happened exactly, but I had just made it to Littleroot when suddenly I wake up somewhere else with no memory of who I was or where I came from, it took me forever to get those memories back."

"Like Ingo." Seer Ash realized.

"But then why steal our plates?" Trap Ash questioned.

"I needed to get his attention, but I didn't expect you to come after me, I'm guessing you're the multiversal variant Sensei used to speak about." Benji said.

"Yeah, probably me." Trap Ash said.

"Wally, or Benji, I promise I'll do what I can to get you home with me." Coordinator Ash said.

"It's fine Sensei, I've made a life and had a long time here in this world." Benji said. "But here, this landed with me, and it looks like you're collecting them, hopefully it helps." Benji said, holding out a brown plate.

"Another plate." Coordinator Ash said.

"If you need my help I will offer my assistance in any way I can, but when you come home, can you at least tell my family that I'm okay, and that I love them." Benji said.

"I'll be sure to pass on that Wally, and I'm really sorry that this happened to you." Coordinator Ash said, hugging his old friend.
