The usual sound of comedic Toontown was silent, in which the toon moon was snoring away wearing a night cap, and the clouds were floating in the sky with the moon's idea of sleep.

In comedic Toontown, the occasional car and lone toon were walking in the dimly lit streets. Past the town was the huge park-like neighborhood where few of the famous toon characters from Roger Rabbit, Jessica, Mickey, Goofy, to Donald who surprisingly brought his boat into the large lake that was next door to the neighborhood. What was well known for the neighborhood was how unique each house is to match the character who lived in them.

The one that was the most unique was the home of McDuck Manor, the home of Scrooge McDuck. It stood on a hill that watched over the whole neighborhood like a castle overlooking his kingdom. The white with gold trimming manor casted a small glow from the pale moonlight, and the marble fountain flowed out crystal clear water with no disturbance around it.

In the manor, everyone was no one to be found, only silence of the many paintings of past McDuck ancestors, and the many treasures that Scrooge McDuck collected on his travels. Both him and the staff were asleep at…2:30 AM the grandfather clock said in the hallway next to Scrooge's office. Anyone would think that no one would still be around…but they were wrong.

A black figure softly came out from under a tile in the main room and placed it back in its place where it came from. To mark where he came from, he used a bright neon red piece of chalk and marked the tile. Placing the chalk in his black outfit, he slowly scaled up the stairs.

On the second floor, he looked through a hand-drawn map, and inspected a few of the doors. He looked at the map and made an imaginary circle at Scrooges Treasure Room that was located at the end of the hall.

On silent feet, he ran to the last door that read "Treasury" in large golden letters. He slowly opened the door, but the door made a loud *creak*, and he had to stop and wait. The sound of a loud cough and heavy snore was heard in the hallways. Scrooge's snore. Hearing it dial down, he went back to open the door again.

Entering the treasury, he was met by the mounds upon mounds of treasure Scrooge McDuck had collected over the years. From a few gold trinkets, a modeled ship, to the fossils of a rare extinct mammoth, the figure could have stolen any of these things and sell them to the black markets in downtown Toontown, but he merely walked past them, and went to what he believed was Scrooges recent prized possession.

In the center parallel to the door was a large ruby necklace. It was hanged on a black neck stand with the pale moonlight gleaming through the shiny jewel and golden chain, making it hypnotizing for the thief wanting to steal it even more.

Taking out a pen-like object, he pointed the ball point at the glass, and made a large symmetrical circle that fit the size of the black neck stand. He slowly and carefully brought the pen out with the cut-out glass stuck to it.

Putting down the two, the figure looked back the necklace. His two pools of black with yellow rims looked down at the ruby with utter lust. His black glove slowly and carefully went in the glass case. His finger mere centimeters from the ruby charm—

"Who are you?!" a thick Scottish accent cried.

The black figure stopped, then turned his head to the back. Standing at the door was Scrooge McDuck himself, wearing a purple nightgown and matching hat, and an old Cavalry Pistol that was loaded in his hands.

The toon duck pointed the gun at the black figure with a dead serious face. "Don't move, or I'll blast you!"

The figure slowly turned fully to the duck with his arms up over his head as Scrooge kept the gun at front. Just s things were going well, the figure suddenly pulled out a small ball and dark purple smoke surrounded the large room.

"Great kilts!" Scrooge exclaimed as he couldn't see his surroundings. His finger must have pulled the trigger as a gunshot echoed around the room, and the sound of a shatter of a hard force.

When the smoke settled, Scrooge coughed and wheezed as he swatted away the remaining smoke. He looked in front and gasped that the figure was gone…along with the ruby necklace! The duck went up to the case to see the black stand toppled, then turned to the window on his left was shattered into a million pieces. The thief had escaped with his prize…

"Jiminy Cricket…" the duck whispered.
